We booked as a family of four indicating the ages of our children.

Upon arrival we notice there was only bed setup for 3 of us and we were charged on site for the an “extra child”. That only gave us a single extra futon without any amenities, not even a bath towel, not to mention everything only has 3 sets such as toothbrush and slippers.

The room is of poor design, with the Japanese style folding screen across the window which does not block lights. The lights from the shops around was so bright even at night and difficult to fall asleep.

The humidifier is smelly and gives poor odour - however in Japan it’s so dry we just have to use it.

The only good thing about the hotel is its relative good position and close proximity to shops

We had the japanese / western style room... it had 2 queen beds (or bigger double?) and 2 singles set up japanese style. It was awesome. Room was very spacious, very clean, very close walk to the mall which then goes on to Dotonbori.

Great place to stay for single travelers. I stayed for 4 nights in July and the air conditioning worked great and location is fantastic. Train around the corner or underground walkways to other train stations. Fanatics restaurants and shopping underground Cristal mall all the way to Shin Sai Bashi Suji to Dontonbori. Definitely worth the price I paid for the room. Wouldn’t take the wife here but for single travelers for the price can’t beat it. Just have to figure out how to keep the AC on all day which was simple. The smells funky without the AC so leave it on low all day. Free coffee downstairs but no daily cleaning so you need to go downstairs to change towels etc between cleaning days. Fun Fun Fun!

The property doesn't offer any amenities its like a hostel imo. No complimentary toiletries and amenities. You have to buy the toiletries and slippers are used they only provide the lining and it's not even effective. You can only have a cleaning day once with our 4 nights stay. I don't recommend even for budget traveling..

Very good stay in room #1204. The ONLY complaint is the water temperature fluctuated when taking a shower. All 3 in our party experienced this. Initially, I thought maybe the temp was changing because someone else in our room flushed the toilet or was running the water, but that was not the case. The hotel should look into stabilizing the temperature so no one gets injured/scalded from a sudden rush of hot water.

The hotel exit was right next to Nagahoribashi subway station, so it was very convenient for getting on the subway. Hotel was very quiet, but the hallways smelled like cigarette smoke all the time. The elevators are tiny and slow. 2nd floor amenities are right next to the smoking area so it smelled even worse of cigarettes.

Pros:
1. The hotel itself was at the exit to a local subway station so getting to and from the hotel was easy and convenient.
2. The staff was very attentive, and even though I didn't speak a lot of Japanese, the staff worked their hardest to communicate with me in English, and I tried to communicate back in Japanese (to the best of my abilities).
3. The breakfast buffet was local Japanese cuisine, and I enjoyed the buffet every morning!
4. The room itself was clean and nice for my intended purpose of traveling around Osaka. The hotel offered limited hotel cleaning, but they were very helpful when I asked for an extra pillow, etc.
5. The neighborhood around the hotel, was quiet and I felt safe. The hotel is also within walking distance from the Shinsaibashi shopping district (around a 5-minute walk) and then once you travel south, you hit Dotonburi (around a 10-minute walk) which was surprising!

Cons:
1. None that I can remember

Overall, it was a great hotel in terms of the staff and location. I enjoyed staying at this hotel, and I don't mind coming back again in the future when I come back to visit Osaka.

Easy walkable access to local areas, a pleasant 15 walk from Dotonbori etc. Plenty of resturaunts and bars around. Train station is very close. 7/11 right next door.

My room was a small but clean single room with a good shower and bed, though the bed was fairly hard. Fridge, TV, desk etc.

Breakfast was nice and was always well stocked. Alcoholic and soft drinks available at reception or at the vending machine. Smoking room, vending machine and laundry on 2nd floor. Staff were very friendly.

Would stay again.

Great Location, Simple & Functional for Solo

Great location, close to the popular shopping and street food areas but far enough to not get caught up in the chaos and crowds. A very short walk from Nagahoribashi station and the 7/11 just downstairs is very convenient too.

The room was cleaned pretty well. One of the towels had a faded stain. The space was perfect for a solo traveller but as always, there’s not enough clothes hangers. Second floor has laundry and a small manga library.

Would definitely stay here again.

An excellent 3 stars property near Dontonbori with access to multiple trains/metro lines within minutes. Lots of places to eat and shops to choose from. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Although we arrived early and were unable to check-in early, the staff helped to shift our luggage to our room when we came back to check in.

The area is very convenient as it was right beside the subway and is a short work away from Shinsaibashi shopping district.

However, the tap and bath water was abit murky and the staff told us it was normal and safe for drinking when questioned.

We placed the rubbish bin outside the room for clearing as instructed as there was no room service. However, it remained uncleared when we returned in the evening.

Breakfast staff are rude to foreign guests. Breakfast \"buffet\" trays were all empty when I arrived at 830 am. Dont buy the breakfast just go to 7-11 for a much cheaper and better option. Wont be staying at any Sarasa hotels in the future.

Great location, near train station and shopping area. Walking distances to Dotonbori and Kuromon market. Good size room but toilet/bathroom a bit on the smaller size. The bathtub is quite high up so have to be careful when you are taking shower. Slight street noises can be heard from the room.

Excellent hotel, strongly recommended. 10 minutes walk to Dotonburi, subway Nagaribashi station just next to hotel, convenient to airport just change stop at Tengachaya and straight to Kansai. Shopping street underground just next to hotel. Only complaint about the hotel as in other hotels in Japan is they DO NOT have a English channel on TV, I guess difficult for them to change as it's additional cost for them. Otherwise a great hotel for decent price.

The hotel room was narrow but long. I had space in the room to store baggage so it didn't get in the way during my visit. The room was clean and simple, but what I expected. Quiet location near Shinsaibashi-suji (about 8min walk from the hotel). Convenience stores and fast food (MOS Burger) just downstairs. 15min walk to Kuromon Ichiba Market. Subway station just downstairs and took us under an hour to get to the airport. Really convenient. Room size is considered okay for Japanese hotels. Very clean and well kept hotel. We enjoyed our stay.

Modern clean comfy hotel close to subway train.

This was my first visit to Osaka. I found this hotel to be excellent for the price range. The room came with an excellent bathroom, including a hot tub with great hot water supply. Everything was perfectly clean and new. The hotel is next to the useful Nagahoribashi train station. You can use this train to take 1 hour comfortable ride to Osaka Kansai KIX airport. I also took the train to Kyoto Arashiyama which is absolutely beautiful this time in Autumn. There are also some wonderful cheap ramen noodle shops nearby the hotel. Walk further and you will find a good sized shopping mall. The cleaning staff also changed my bedsheet and cleaned my room well. I found the wifi to be good. I also found the staff to be friendly, polite and helpful despite my lack of Japanese language skill.

It would be good if the hotel provides cutlery to use, and more fixtures to hang clothes. My clothes got wet in the rain and I needed to hang them to dry out.

The hotel is in good location. It is small which is usual for Japan but the ceiling is quite low. Not recommended for tall people. I’m 5 ft tall and yet I am concious of how low the ceiling is. Also, our used mugs are not washed everyday.

Non Japanese speakers please avoid this hotel. Hotel staff knows nearly no English. Failed to fix the wrong booking regarding breakfast. Every question asked was not understandable by them. Room got problem and the communication was a total fail. The handy phone provided does not work properly and at the end just can’t use. Called the hotel 3 times for the coming package on 11am
, 1pm and 2pm. The staff confirmed but then somehow they rejected the package and said they don’t know. Every thing they said okay turns out they actually do not understand at all. I have to take a 10000 yen Shinkansen travel to collect the parcel from another point.

I got there on the eve of my birthday, i mentioned this - just in case I could get a little upgrade - but nothing. The room was so so tiny, i nearly got claustrophobic when I got in! I could barely open my suitcase. The bathroom is extremely small as well. Everything is dull, the colours, nothing on the wall. This hotel is overpriced because of its location, nothing else. It has no flexibility, and it definitely doesn’t reflect Japanese people’s kindness. One staff was nice, can’t remember his name but one of them maybe the senior manager could even not speak English and was just looking in a weird way when her fellow coworkers were trying to help in English. The check out is at 10am and you need to pay 30% extra if you want to check out before 12pm, so I ended up paying 1200¥ extra. What a joke! Definitely not recommending this hotel, neither Osaka.

I had a really nice stay at Sarasa Hotel Shinsaibashi. I was only there for 2 nights but I rested well and the staff were very helpful in holding my luggage for me after I'd checked out.
Pros: Right next to a station, a short walk from the Dotonbori area, accommodating staff, great WI-FI.
Cons: Room and bathroom were a bit small but that really isn't a problem at all.

The Hotel is in a great location a short walk to Dōtonbori which has many great night life spots. The hotel is literally on top of a subway station, so if you need to get around wider Osaka, its easy. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms are small but typical of an inner city hotel in Japan in this price range. The hotel was clean. I would stay again!

The hotel room has bad soundproofing- the sounds of traffic are very loud and at least in summer, the sound of cicadas is deafening. Apart from that the room is pretty par for the course. The nearest train station is about 100m away, making it a very convenient hotel to stay in.
Food-wise, it is a walk-able distance to Dotonburi and Kuromon Ichiba Market. There is also a MOS Burger and 7-11 near the hotel as well.

Nice hotel near nightlife

Sarasa is in a great part of Osaka. You can easily walk to the nearby nightlife areas. There are also tons of restaurants close to the hotel. The staff is very friendly and the hotel was very clean. The rooms are a bit on the small side, however, there was still plenty of room for two of us. The bathroom is very very small. I would say the tiny bathroom is the only downside to this hotel, everything else was great. The hotel is also close to the local subway. It is easy to get to from Shin Osaka station using the local subway. I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is just right beside Nagahoribashi station, about 15 mins walk to Dotonbori/Namba. We did not have a good night sleep because the soundproofing is bad. We had to endure the sound of many passing ambulances (with siren on) throughout the night and also inconsiderate street people making a lot of noises in the midnight. Breakfast choice was mediocre. Room condition & facilities are pretty standard.

New modern hotel with polite staff, room was comfortable and provided all that I needed. The nearest exit from the subway to the hotel is 5A, which is by stairs. Instead take Exit South 3 of Crysta underground mall by elevator to / from ground level then walk to the hotel is easier.

Hello ^0.0^ Hotel Sarasa was a good base for travel in Osaka. Easy to get around and visit the shopping areas. my room was clean and warm. Had a nice view too.

nice hotel near to the station

lovely hotel bear to the station and the famous Shinsai Bashi. many bars and restaurants nearby. The room is small but very clean and nice staff.

Relatively new hotel

Good location of hotel, right above the Subway station. Relatively new hotel with good cleanliness overall. Room size is average.

2 nights stay

I booked here for 2 nights, overall is good. But if for family stay this hotel is too small.....
Only thing is a bit far from the Hotel walk to Kuromon Ichiba morning seafood market.....take about 20mins to walk there.
