Overall, we had a decent experience staying here. The room was on the smaller end though this is pretty common for Japanese hotel room so that is not a problem. Location was convenient and easy find and they accept luggage storage.

Only slight negative experience that we had - when we came back to retrieve luggage and check in, we provided the tag to staff and got our luggage easily. Then, they pointed us to go back over to the self-checkin. This is fine if they have every guest do self-checkin but while we were checking in on the machine, staff offered to help other guests check in (even though there were other machines available). We are not sure the reason for differential treatment is.

I got assigned to the second floor of the building. My room constantly having some toilet odor and I need to keep spamming refresher before I went out.

The room is expected small, considering its location, is acceptable. However if you have 2 people, 2 small and 2 big luggage, you may need additional time to pack the luggage.

I found moving ants on my bed, killed it without thinking much, but both me and my husband got bitten every night by unknown bugs.

We tried the laundry machine, I guess it's the same for all other Inn and hotel as we stayed other hotel before this one and they all the same model. However, it doesn't seem to fully clean the clothes ( regular load ). The dryer mode can't dry the clothes properly ( clothes are really hot, but wet still)

The only positive is the breakfast which is decent base on the price ( add on through Expedia )

The breakfast was disappointing compared to what other hotels offers. There is room for improvement. The food are often lacking and the staff around don’t seem too eager to refill. I would opt out the breakfast option if staying at this hotel. There are better options around the hotel. Staff are always friendly and offers wide variety of amenities.

Great location, a few mins walk from Shinsaibashi Shopping Street and Dotonbori. Few mins walk from train stations as well. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Room was clean but it was small. I went solo so it wasn’t too bad for me but if there’s more than two people, there will be little to no room to move around if you book the standard double room. Breakfast buffet was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Look no further, this is a great hotel. Close to train station (different lines within a very short walk), shopping, nightlife and restaurants on your doorstep. Breakfast was very nice too! My children miss the pancakes! Would recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay again!

The hotel staff were prompt, efficient, and exceptionally polite. They were also highly accommodating, ensuring a seamless experience for us. My family and I arranged to send our luggage to Tokyo Haneda Airport, and they gladly facilitated our request.

The location is conveniently walkable, offering a variety of dining and shopping options. I truly appreciate the hotel’s generosity in providing complimentary amenities, especially since many establishments no longer offer such perks.

The reception staff were so accommodating and friendly.

Our flight had been delayed by 5 hours which resulted in is landing at the airport at closing time. The trains were no longer running and taxis were scarce. Which meant that we would arrive well after the last check in time. We notified the hotel and the staff responded that they would let us check in once we had arrived. Thank you for being so helpful and end our horrid travel day on a nice note.

We arrived at 2pm. Were told that check-in time is at 3pm. We rested at the lobby and by 2:30pm, we were able to Check-in. Thanks to the housekeeping team.

The bedroom is very spacious, 2 queensized bed with all basics, incl. hair curlers, charger, table lamp.

There is a box at the reception to collect “used
clothes”~ for recycling!!

Buffet breakfast was fantastic, staff at the cafe is very friendly. The cafe is very clean n cosy.

Location: 2 mins. Walk to the nearest subway entrance but a long walk to the station.

Check-out was a beeeze.

the hotel is between Shinsaibashi metro and Nagaborihashi metro and there is an entrance/exit (south 5) near the underground shopping walkway between the 2 stations

walkable to Shinsaibashi suji and Dotonburi with maybe eateries and shopping

only downside is probably the size of the room, with the mini corridor in the room. barely any space to open the luggage

The location of the hotel is great, very close to all the places you would want to visit in Osaka. It’s a bit of a trek getting to from the Kansai Airport but once you understand the metro system it’s manageable. The rooms are small but very clean. The location of the hotel was excellent. Walking distance to dontobori and there were many eateries around the area with several convenient stores within walking distance too. It is also near shopping districts like Shinsaibashi Suji. The best is that I can access Shinsaibashi station via lift if i have my luggage with me. The lift is just round the corner of the hotel. Rooms were very clean. They also provide free skincare products such as toner, cleanser, moisturiser, sun screen, and bath salt for soaking. It had been a wonderful 5-day stay. I would definitely choose Sotetsu Fresa Inn Osaka-Shinsaibashi again if i were to make another trip to Osaka.

Given the budget price I was afraid I had booked a subpar hotel. However; everything was clean, plenty of amenities, on location vending machines/washer/dryers and a breakfast buffet. No surprise room entries from the staff either.

Room was small but totally serviceable for my needs especially for the price.

Will stay again if I'm ever back in Osaka.

This was the only hotel we’ve stayed in Osaka and we would prefer this hotel again the next time we visit.

The staff and service feels top notch. Feels modern as well where check in and check out is easy via the machine. This hotel also provides the most options of amenities. I didn’t need any of these during my stay but I would have borrowed: curling iron, mobile charger, air purifier, or wheelchair.

The usual amenities are provided as well like the toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, etc. These amenities aren’t in the room, but they’re provided at the front desk.

The beds are definitely as-advertised quality. They’re soft and not too firm. If I remember, we did get double but it felt spacious for my fiancé and I. It was also advertised that the water is quality too. It felt like it, but not sure it’s because of the signs I see all around for it.

The room is small, but still has small walkways to walk around. The luggage we had takes half the hallway space. There’s a mini closet and the bathroom is small and felt like an airplane bathroom.

The location of the hotel is really close to shopping in Shinsaibashi with all the luxury stores. It’s a 10-15 min walk from Dotonbori. We didn’t go on a train, but it’s near a Shinsaibashi train station. There’s also a 7-11 on the same block less than a minute away.

Overall, we like this hotel and highly recommend. I’d even consider other hotels of this chain in any area of Japan they’re located in.

The hotel is in excellent location, rooms are spacious, everything is almost perfect except the clarity of advertisement is not clear and staff attitude is not very welcome, somehow considered to be discrimination. We reserved big room with two double/full beds (expected max 2 adults). When we checked-in, the staff (his name seems to be a Korean) does not allow my son (11 years old) to be a child to share the bed. So if a 11 years old boy is not a child, what age do you considered to be NOT an adult ? This is not so clear when posting the ads to define “adult” age. In addition, we asked for another room to rent because of this ridiculous thing. The staff said no rooms available and he also mentioned to us “the child cannot stay in the room” - it seems like we came from a third-world country and do not know the rules. That’s a worst experience I got through this Japan trip with Sotetsu Freisa Hotel in Osaka.

The hotel was fine… just an instance with a male staff member left me with a sour taste. I was talking with her about a question I had… there was a communication problem as I cannot speak Japanese… but this male staff member came over and said “wait a minute” when I knew what they were looking at was incorrect…. I said do not bother it’s ok.. it was literally just asking if a food delivery service had come, when they thought I meant a parcel or something. All is well… just the “wait a minute” is quite abrupt and somewhat rude where I am from.

The best hotel we stayed in during our trip! The hotel was newly built and modern, clean, spacious, quiet, and walking distance to Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi shopping streets, lots of local restaurants and underground train stations all within 5 to 10 minutes. The laundry was easy to use with English instructions. Staff were kind and respectful. I couldnt recommend this hotel more. We stayed at the Sotetsu Fresa Inn in Kyoto and Roppongi as well and they were slightly older but still good.

Compact Japanese hotel room in a quiet street. Close to the subway and underground shopping which was helpful for getting around in poor weather. Lots of nearby dining options. Great selection of amenities and useful onsite laundry. I had no trouble accessing a machine but I did laundry in the middle of the day.

Fantastic hotel, especially for the price

I had an excellent experience at Fresa-Inn Shinsaibashi. The hotel is very nice and clean, and the staff are also very friendly and accommodating. The location is good and conveniently close to Shinsaibashi-Eki and Dotonbori. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone else who considers doing so.
