Clean room, standard sized for a Japanese business hotel, standard amenities. However, the absolute standout- location. This hotel is perfectly located to go out in Osaka, with a ton of interesting things to do within walkable distance, and a metro station directly underneath for easy access to further locations. The laundry facilities are thoroughly underwhelming, with two washers and two dryers for the entire hotel, but there is a 24/7 laundromat around the corner (3 minute walk) that was easy to use instead.

I really enjoyed this property. The aircon is adjustable and they include nice amenities like a phone charger in the room. Also this area is relatively quiet at night which is nice for a peaceful sleep. The room was clean and every day they provided fresh towels. This location is extremely close to the train entrance which is perfect for exploring. Also Dotonbori is about a 13-15 minute walk away.

I also appreciate that there is a very accurate electronic scale in the lobby to measure the weight of luggage. The check-out time is a bit early, it would be more appropriate if it could be delayed to 11am.

We loved staying at this hotel for our Osaka/Kyoto trip. One of the best places we have stayed during our trip. It’s clean, staff are helpful, the room is so clean, and even the bathroom is clean and technologically advanced. It’s hard to get out of the shower because it feels so good to take shower. We loved it so much. If I ever visit Osaka again, I will return to this place.

Great budget option. It’s old, run down and smells a bit like mould but for the price it’s worth it.
About a 5-7 min walk to dontonbori. There is a ramen shop outside, multiple convenient stores within a minute and train station below. Mostly used the shinsaibashi line which was a 8 min walk.
Can’t fault it for the price. However not the most lux.

The room only have ventilation, no air conditioning. You need to call front desk to bring a fan or open the window. It is very hot inside the room even if you turn on the fan. Not recommend during summer definitely!

Excellent hotel in Shinsaibashi

The Ark hotel is less than 30 metres from Osaka metro Nagahoribashi entry gate 3 and within walking distance of Dotonbori. We found the room comfortable and service extremely good. The breakfast was great too. I would stay here again.

Very clean, but extremely small. It's literally the smallest room I've seen in Japan. The bed and room is definitely for one person (not even one person with a child). However it's impeccably clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Front desk has all the amenities available for you to take and its 2 minutes away from the closest metro station. For the price I'm happy to stay here again.

I originally booked for a double occupancy room and that was very small, so we changed to a twin beds room and the size was much bigger and it was nice. This hotel is convenient to everything. Tons of restaurants just walk across the street and it’s located next to subway and the underground shopping.

Not a good place to stay.

Hotel staff was stiff and uninterested in customer service. Arrived at 1415, and tried to check in. Staff stated that check in was 1500, and it would be \"impossible\" to check and see if a room was ready early. Staff asked us to return at 1450, and maybe they could check then. We returned at 1450 to be told it was still \"impossible\" to even check if a room was ready. Basically, they used procedure as a weapon to do nothing. Room was tiny, cramped, and poorly appointed. Bathroom was barely big enough for one person to get inside. Bed was like spleeping on a hard board. A truly bad experience.

Ok hotel if you just want to stay for the night and sleep only whilst out and abouts during the day. Old run down hotel but bathrooms are ok. Bed just ok. Had a run further out and wifi did not even have enough signal to connect. Overall I wouldn't stay again based on my experience. Not god for Japan standard. Shame as location is not bad from all restaurants and bars and dontonburi.

I got a smoking room but did not expect it to smell that bad when we entered it, it smelled like someone just puffed a cigarette. I have to use a lot of air freshner to take the smell out first. There was also water dripping from the bathroom ceiling but it's tolerable. Hope they would add more lighting in the room too. Aside from that the room was ok, the bathroom is typically smal but its clean and looks new. Overall experience was satisfactory. We only stayed there for 1 night anyway.

The hotel is a great location near the subway and the shopping in area in Osaka however extremely out dated with a very old feel. The rooms are older and smaller than they look in the pictures.
Pay attention to not vook a smoking room if you have problems with smell as I booked a smoking one by mistake and had to requet it to be changed as I could not stand with the odor.
The staff was very good amd corteous.

The hotel allows people smoke everywhere! Should have to designate an area for smokers. In hallways or stairs, except not on the bed. I didn't know that I booked a smoking room. The room was smelled terrible and we asked to change a non-smoking room but the female staff said no. Its location is very close to the local subway, but not very convenient to walk to Dotonbori place. It's 25m.

Location was great, it was right beside exit 4 of theNagahoribashi subway station. Walking distance to Shinsaibashi Shopping arcade, Crysta underground mall and Dotonbori St.
I also love theirr shampoo and face soap, my hair feels like I came out of the salon after every shower, I dont even have to set it with a hairdryer. Only downside was at the time we were there, their airconditioning unit was switched off, when I inquired, they said because \"it's not so cold and not so hot, you just open the window\" The weather was great when we were there so I cant complain abt the room temperature but when the window is open, you can hear the cars passing thru, it's not noisy but not quiet either.

Hotel was clean and very close to Shinsaibashisuji. There is a night club directly across from hotel as well as places to grab a bite to eat. The hotel offers massages for a fee and has a restaurant near the lobby. The rooms did seem a bit dated with the use of an actual key to gain access to your room. Staff was very friendly and prompt. I only stayed there for one night but My experience was good overall.

Get out of the station and it is literally right next to the hotel. It was so convenient. Dotonbori is only a 5-10 minute walk which was great as well as the shinsaibashi shopping area. The bed was hard and the bathrooms remind me of airport bathrooms but for the price, I would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at the Ark hotel Osaka shinsaibashi, for their good service, friendly staff, the wifi is fast, the room we stayed in are clean. Another advantage of the hotel is its location very near the subway station, also the hotel is walking distance to shinsaibashi shopping street, Americamura shopping district and Dotonburi. We also enjoyed eating at the restaurant in front of the hotel for its good food at affordable price. We would recommend Ark hotel to our friends.

Good hotel if under $65 for a single.

First, the staff are excellent. They are polite, helpful and speak English. The hotel is older but fitting the price I paid. Lobby was quiet and not crowded. Restaurants and a grocery store are nearby. My room was a little small but acceptable. The bathroom was very small but the tub is deep and actually comfortable (I'm 5'11\"). Cold AC but the filter was very dirty. It is easily changed or cleaned so they should do it more often. The carpet was vacuumed but I could smell that it was dirty. They seriously need to steam clean the carpets. The walls are thin so if you have loud guests next to you it may be an issue, it was for me. Overall, it is a good discount hotel in a safe area and not far from sites. I recommend it if you're on a budget.

A nice hotel that is close to subway.

The hotel is just left of exit 4 of Nagarihombashi station which is very convenient. Although close to Namba, there is no direct train. Recommended to walk to Shinsaibaishi instead since there are many interesting stuff to see.

Hotel is also close to restaurants and eateries but most of them don't open early. There's an underground shopping Crysta nearby.
