The room was disgusting. The bedding was filthy, the bathroom vanity had something spilled on it, the mirror had splatter on it, and the shower was moldy. A guy strung out on drugs tried to give us new bedding that was some sheets rolled up in a ball tucked up in his arm. We declined, got a refund, and went to a different hotel.

Room was awful- giant dirty spot on bed comforter blanket, bathroom dirty, had no toilet paper, a broken toilet seat.
TV also was not working and no wifi- I had work to do but when trying to log into internet it brought up a safety certificate showing New York (this was in PA) so I stopped right there as I had data sensitive work to do. Guess you get what you pay for but this was a horrible experience- oh dirt balls working there and dirt balls banging on a door trying to knockj it down right in front of my car in the morning- couldn't wait to high tail it out of there before cops came and think I was a part of that!

The room was badly neglected. Bathroom door didn’t latch, cigarette burns in comforter, stained comforters. Hotels.com lists daily housekeeping - zero housekeeping during our 8 night stay. Never collected garbage or swept the floor even. Tv had 3 dead black lines up through the screen. We had to repeatedly ask for towels and toilet paper. Laundry out of order. The place is an absolute dive. It’s dirty, poorly maintained, and the workers don’t want to be bothered. Only thing it has going for it is the great location.

Floor was dirty. Bathroom had roaches on walls. TV remote broken. Floor had burn marks next to bed from what appeared to be a fire.
Soap was cheap small bar. Sink faucet was loose and sprayed water at you. Shower water pressure was poor. Towels were old and thread bare, but clean.
Night stand lights had no light bulbs in them.
Overall a terrible experience.

I was signed up to pay when I arrived but they had already charged my card. I paid for nonsmoking rooms and without a doubt someone had smoked in these rooms prior to my visit. The complex looks more like extended stay and the crowd hanging around seem to live there.

I will sum up my visit; when I got out of the shower nicotine dripped from the ceiling onto my shoulder. This place is disgusting.

My reservation was for two non-smoking rooms which was confirmed by email. When I checked in the desk person told me I had reserved two smoking rooms. I showed her my confirmation email with nonsmoking rooms indicated. Fortunately there were nonsmoking rooms available but don’t know what I would have done if there weren’t. The person at the desk was not very polite when she insisted I had not reserved nonsmoking rooms.

I don’t normally leave remarks but I feel I need to on this one. I paid for a NON SMOKING room, with queen beds. I get there and I prepaid mind you several hours before. “We only have one room left and it’s a smoking room. Fine. Whatever. My kids and I needed a place to sleep. We go into the room. No queen beds. Two tiny ones. Toilet wouldn’t flush. The rubber around the floor was coming off and caused a trip hazard and the room reeked of marijuana. I won’t be back. I feel I should have been refunded some of my money for not having Queen beds and given a junk room.the sheets were stained. I had my service dog too and worried half the night if someone was going to come through the door between rooms.

The room was CRAWLING with bugs. EVERYWHERE you looked there were bugs everywhere. Didn’t even attempt to open the mini fridge because the bugs on the outside was enough to scare u away. The bathroom was the scariest bug place. The sheets were dirty and I slept in the hard plastic chair for one hour before the crawling bugs became way too much and I paid almost $100 for this crapshoot. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I like how close the motel was located to the major highways.
The room was not too good. The lighting is poor. The t.v. remote didn't work to turn on the television. Had walk towards the t.v. to turn on or off the set. The room only had one trashcan to use. The toilet paper was opened and had appeared that it was damp. The noise from other guest was kind of loud. I will not be using this motel again for future visits.

This is by far the worst Motel 6 I've stayed at. I checked in about midnight, got to the hotel, was checked in by a young man. Keys didn't work, he had to walk up to the room and open the door for us, the door had no lock on it (unsafe). The bed sheets had cigarette holes on it, sheets were also riddled with stains, a dark red color, mattress cover was also dirty and oily. Bathroom was nasty and it smelled like dog piss in the room. The front desk attendant let us in the room and saw this, he said nothing. Almost like this was the norm. I was in disbelief how nasty it was. I left and did not return. Requested a refund. I would sleep in the car before laying my head at this place. Highly suggest you go elsewhere if you are able.

We booked a non-smoking room with 2 queen sized beds. We arrived at 11pm and the lady barely spoke English. We were given a smoking room with 2 full sized beds. It smelled disgusting in the room from the stale smoke smell. There was cigarette burns in the blankets. Broken dresser that was a hazard. Sink was broken. I walked over to the front desk to tell them we need a different room but bc she did not speak English she did not understand me. We had no choice but to stay since it was already 11pm. Hotel app tried to contact them to reimburse but they refused. In the end they gave 15% back ($14). All of the photos for this motel are over 20 years old. We had crack heads that "lived" nextdoor to our room. The whole place was disgusting!

First, we did not end up staying at this hotel. The online photos with Expedia DID NOT match the actual rooms when we arrived. The property was in poor condition from the outside and looked like a roach motel. When we entered the lobby the decor was old and outdated, the windows were filthy, and they had some gambling machines I assume to generate some extra revenue.

When checking in we requested non-smoking rooms which the desk person agreed to. Of course- They reeked of smoke, the first room had cigarette burns (7) on the comforter, and the bar soap in the bathroom was used. The second room mattress cover was filthy upon inspection, and everything felt like you were going to have cockroaches or bed bugs crawling all over you. It was dark and dingey and again I REPEAT- LOOKED NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTIS ONLINE.

The only thing that went smoothly was when we asked for a refund and demanded our money back, there was no hesitation. Which leads me to believe this happens often,

The room smelled like smoke checked. The front door barely closed so we had to use the latch and put stuff in front of the door to be safe. The room was not cleaned at all the bed sheets had stains on them and the floor was not swept being I could see all the rocks and sediments on the floor. Bathroom was decent but legit no soap or anything of the sorts. I mean I paid 64$ for the night, but like damn I was not expecting it to be dirty, old yes but not dirty. I didn’t expect a lot for the price we paid. There weren’t any amenities and I was okay with that. I rated this property “poor” because the towels and linens were faded, the tv remote didn’t work (no volume control or on/off), the floors were dirty around the perimeter of the room, the toilet didn’t flush properly, the toilet seat was cracked and the tub had mold around the edges. The lobby also had a terrible smell. We were in town for a basketball event and all other hotels were fully booked. I wouldn’t stay here again.
On a positive note the limited interaction I had with staff was pleasant.

This place is terrible.. we stayed 1 night as we went to Hershey Park and didn’t want to drive back to NYC the same night.. we stayed up all night.. the place is shady, random people hanging out, doing drugs on the premise.. the room was dirty, sheets were dirty, there were dead bugs all over the room.. the bathroom was filthy, no shower head.. the staff sucked, they barely spoke when checking us in or out.. this Motel 6 Location should be shut down ASAP and revamped.. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone at all !!!!!!

Stay at the Harrisburg Motel 6

We were traveling for medical care. The hotel was convenient to UPMC West Shore Hospital.

It is an older hotel with efforts being made to update it. Part of the room had been painted but rather poorly. There was mold/mildew around the bathroom fixtures and bath vent, that appeared to not be working. There was plaster dust on the hair dryer in the bathroom and on the floor and dust on the heater/ac unit and pieces for plaster under the unit. The beds and linen were clean, and the bed was comfortable.

The key card stopped working and had to be reprogrammed for the second night. Upon checkout I was met by a staff member in the parking lot who took the key card and escort me to the lobby. At 7:30 AM the lobby was still locked. The staff person placed the key card in the pass through tray and that is where I completed the checkout. The clerk was not able to provide me with a receipt for the stay.

The price was reasonable and met out needs for this trip. The service was very basic, not even coffee in the rooms or lobby. Should we have to do this again I would check out other motels in the area.

The motel was ok for the price. But the rooms had old rundown AC heat units that didn’t work very efficiently and were very noisy. And for newly renovated rooms whoever did the work was a hack paint on the trim and outlet and switch covers. But again for the price it wasn’t bad if you are just looking for a place to sleep and shower.

The bedding was stained. The toilet paper holder was broken. Mold in tub and sink. I asked for non-smoking and ended up with someone next to us smoking on her door step. We couldn't get the tv to work and someone came and got it working, which was the only good thing. We later dicovered the remote wouldn't turn it off and it had to be unplugged.

We have stayed in many hotels across our country and in Europe. We came in later in the day and had to meet someone in Harrisburg. When I got back to the room I was so tired and almost cried when I realized just how awful the room was. I took a series of pictures that I will gladly share with you. I'm thinking of putting them online. The room stank of cigarettes even though it was supposed to be nonsmoking, one of the pillows didn't have a pillow case on it, there were stains on both bedspreads, in the bathroom the ceiling above the tub was flaking in large circular spots and falling into the tub, we had ONE washrag, one towel and two hand towels, the smoke detector cover was missing and wires were hanging down from it ....... therefore there was no functioning detector which I'm sure is a safety violation. I could go on. We slept in our clothes with our jackets as the "blanket". I would NEVER recommend Motel 6 to anyone. As a national chain you should be embarrassed. I'm sorry but but I'm being completely honest. I have the pictures on my phone to prove it !!!!

The Clean Black Mole Room

It was NOT so amazing there was black mole on the walls and the price was too high. Although, there was only one roach I spotted on the wall, which was pleasantly surprising to me!! Cuz I HATE roaches!!! It was some what clean. But the only bad part was all this black mole on the bottom walls and the phone doesn't work!!

You don't even get what you pay for...

I understand that you get what you pay for. On a solo trip, I needed a place to get a night of sleep. I'm not expecting any amenities at any Motel 6.

While I did manage to sleep, it was not with ANY comfort.

The first room I was given had a collapsing bathroom ceiling and cigarette burns in the yellowish bedspread of the non-smoking room. I requested a new room and was accommodated (after I finally rang the night-service bell at 3pm because the employees were in the back room with the door closed.)

The new room had a bright white bedspread. In the bathroom, I could see where the same ceiling issue from the other room had been repaired. The wall-mounted towel rack was removed from the wall and underneath the vanity area. After a quick, warm shower, I discovered one of the towels had a blood stain.

The bed frame is cheap metal that groans when you move.

Unfortunately, even at an ultra-low price, I overpaid for these accommodations.

First, pregnant and I have a toddler so I ask if they can give me a 1st floor room, and they don’t have it that’s fine, but the room she gave me has patch on a wall , ceiling has a water damage, and the lamp next to our bed is broken and i feel itchy the whole night I’m scared of bed bugs but I’m so tired to complain. We arrived at 3:40 (check in time is 3pm) room wasnt ready...was being "cleaned" . When we did finally get into the room (non smoking) it smelled like old smoke. We had to leave the door open and also open the window for ventilation. Dingy stained bedding.. MOLD on the bathroom ceiling, under the rim of the sink and the floor under the sink was dirty. The toilet flush was so loud it startled me awake when used during the night.

There was only 1 towel provided, the room wasn't clean, 1 light fixture was out in the bathroom, microwave kept short circuiting, and the TV remote had duct tape and didn't work. We asked if we could change rooms but they said no and did no accommodations to fix the situation. The people next door were up all night long screaming and spanking their dog. They even tried to come in our room because it was an adjoining room. There were like 6 people in that room. Finally drifted off to sleep around 3:30 from exhaustion but not because it had gotten any quieter. It did not feel safe and worst experience I have ever had at a hotel.

DO NOT STAY HERE

We arrived on a business trip. Reservation was for two but only had one person noted. Had to wait for towels and amenties. Room was bad smelled of urine in bathroom Walls were dirty fleas or fruit flies in room . Dirty floors dirty rooms no tissues in bathrooms . TV did not work and most TV do not work , People stay at this place who are on county assistance who are up all night partying and loud noise smoking and partying outside there rooms . Its bad do not stay here !!

Was given a smoking room with dirty bed covers and then was switched to a room with better cover. But we still couldn’t stand the smell and left without staying for the night. I trusted the staff saying that we booked a smoking room and they couldn’t give us a non-smoking room. I checked my reservation next day and found that we actually booked a non-smoking room there. Couldn’t believe what happened and we had to find another hotel in the midnight and pay extra money. Will not stay there again.

I had stayed at another Motel 6 and it was updated and great. The staff was great and not a reflection of the front desk but this property has seen many better days. I could not sleep due to the noise in the room next to me and then there was a fight in the parking lot in the morning that was very disturbing. The towels were very old and needed updating.

The room was okay. Had to buy our own blanket and towels as the ones provided had holes and looked not so clean. A used Bandaid on the wall in the bathroom was not what one wanted to see. Had the room been at least cleaned it would have been bearable. “Skunks” everywhere.
