Great ocean view rooms with incredible decks on the water. Food was top notch for all meals and the beach is gorgeous with first class cabanas.

Some negatives: the pool, gym and pickleball / tennis courts are across a small road. Not a huge deal but not ideal. Lots of mosquitos poolside so be careful. But the biggest negative is that the ocean is not swim-able due to huge rocks in the water. I saw zero people in the ocean over my 3 day stay. Zero! Maybe with some water shoes it could be done but not easily. Also, there is no food or beverage service in the beach. That is inconvenient. Lastly, while the food is excellent the servers are not. It feels like they are doing you a big favor by being your server and they charge for a coffee refill to boot. At $700-$1000 per night. Really?

Great club for 2-3 nights but any longer than that and the negatives become tiresome.

Location is on a beautiful quiet beach, swimming would be best with water shoes due to rocks. Amazing beach one mile down the road at Smugglers Cove.
Restaurant is average. Disappointed by our birthday dinner. Nothing special about it.
Had a great couples massage at the little spa. However, sitting in the jacuzzi I had one of the jets attach to my calf, which hurt & bruised. Staff checked it out, not sure if it was fixed.
Clean rooms. If you need anything you have to find staff. Need bug spray this time of year in April.
Would definitely stay again, after checking pricing.

We had a beach villa and it was absolutely beautiful. We would return here without a doubt if we come back to Tortola. The front desk staff and concierge helped coordinate our entire stay. We had 2 massages there (highly recommend), chartered a boat through the resort, and used their transport cars multiple times. Thank you Long Beach!

Beautiful view and lovely tastefully designed room which was cleaned well for us.
The only wardrobe was ludicrous Too short to hang men’s shirts let alone women’s dresses.
There was no magnifying shaving mirror and the hairdryer was a cheap and nasty Conair model. The picture window in shower room was stunning as it could be switched from clear to opaque. The pool area was across the road and spartan with insufficient parasols. Sunbeds were soaking wet after it rained as they were not waterproof There was no pool attendant and just one barman for the whole area.
Reception is a minuscule beach hut with no cover from the weather and very disorganised with a wait of one and a half hours to check in. There is no-where to shelter for guests and their baggage when it rains. Although the style is bohemian ‘chi-chi’ it is most impractical.
We only had breakfast once as the staff were offhand and idle. The fried eggs were rock hard, bacon cold and when we asked to change them we got a filthy look and no apology.
The beach is beautiful. Despite being charged an extra $25 a day per person for our 5 day stay for their amenities there is no beach attendant and the beds get soaking wet and grubby as they are not waterproof and blow around in the strong wind where they are left. Most of the other single slatted beds were broken in two and lying around dangerously. An eyesore.
Overall our experience of our 5 day stay was that this resort is very overrated and poor value for money.

The beach is wonderful! Views are fantastic! No cruise ships docking! Really nice pool and bar. The 1748 restaurant was very good with a wide selection of dishes. For such a great property I was very surprised at the reception desk which is a small hut at the entrance to the property. There is no concierge desk as such. No personnel to give you advise on local attractions etc. the majority of the staff gave the impression that they didn’t want to be there! In my opinion the staff let the resort down.

The resort is absolutely lovely. The rooms are stylish with a comfortable beachy vibe and well appointed. While the drinks and food are expensive, the staff is friendly, accommodating and are there to ensure you have a comfortable stay. When you realize you are on vacation and all your needs are met within a few steps, you’ll forget the price and lean into the enjoyment.

The resort is beautiful. Our room was right on the beach. The bartenders served gracious pours & knew how to make about any drink desired. There was only one restaurant on premises, but Tropical Fusion was next door and delightful - especially Friday night lobster buffet.
All the staff was friendly except for Akil, the \"general manager\". He was a bit gruff, and we could not depend on
anything he told us.
Our 3-day stay was severely marred by unbearable jack-hammering that began the afternoon of check-in until about 4PM. At 8AM the next morning the noise continued, accompanied by periodic interruptions to our water. This interruption went on for hours .We couldn't shower or flush, and didn't know if a shower would be disrupted by water cut-off. The situation continued into our third day.
Akil said he did not know about the repair going on next door is why they put us in our unit. We attempted to discuss our issue with Bria, the resort manager. She never contacted us. We feel she was avoiding us.
The adjustment to our charges promised by Akil was only partially fulfilled. It is sad that such an otherwise fantastic resort is diminished by lack of staff hospitality training.

Lovely room/views and the so many of the staff members were engaging, friendly and so helpful. We particularly enjoyed Johnny's bar and the staff there - Kimberly, Steven and Ivan. Also, our room attendants made my husband's birthday very special with a lovely flower and banana leave display on the bed.

Challenges with hot water for more than 3 days and room keys you would have to pay $25 if wet or lost ( get with modern times - cant get key wet at beach resort) maybe the owners/investors should invest in equipment to support positioning this hotel as an upscale resort.

And they had to close restaurants and pool area to support a wedding on a Friday - maybe the investors should provide more on site options.

Fortunately the staff leadership’s attention and concern for guests was well done.

The hotel is beautiful and our beach villa was awesome. You wake up with a view of the ocean and sitting on the deck and looking out at the waves and hearing them crash on the beach was so relaxing. The food was great and the staff is really friendly and helpful. I would recommend a screen over the bathroom window because people walking by can see you when you're getting ready in the bathroom. Also, my wife likes to sleep in a little and there are no curtains or anything in the bedroom that can block out the morning sunlight, just screens that go up and down, but they don't really filter much light. And our toilet room next to the bathroom continuously smelled like urine, which was odd. But other than that I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to unwind and relax. The beach villas are perfect for this.

Quiet time of year. Very relaxing. Great location. I had an amazing massage at the spa. Front desk staff were so very helpful. Our room was spotless! A few of the breakfast staff lack enthusiasm but evenings at the restaurant very good staff and food. One thing to watch out for. We were offered car service to ferries and restaurants and such by the hotel but were not made aware of prices until we checked out. The service was excellent but prices were exorbitant!

Beautiful location on the beach. Ground floor suits are very large and well appointed with a large patio (including a sofa, 2 chairs and table) & direct access to the beach with a palapa. Other rooms (villas) are on the hillside and would be hard to navigate because of the long steep climb up the hill to reach them.
The beach is long & quiet with beautiful white sand, however, not very swimmable due to large coral and rock formations. The water is generally calm except for a couple of days when the waves were a bit stronger.
There is no lobby on the property, just a hut with some staff in it. There doesn't seem to be any concierge to help with reservations and told us to use our cell phone to call the restaurants and even the spa on property.
Most staff were very courteous and friendly.
The main restaurant and sushi restaurant had good food but were a bit limited on food choices. We were unable to ear at the pool restaurant since no-one ever seemed to want to wait on you (bartender) and the tables were never set up for lunch. The menu looked interesting but it didn't seem to cater to the hotel guests (a shame). We wound up eating most lunches off-property.
Most bartenders at the bar were friendly and efficient. The bar was reasonable stocked but ran out of our liquor mid-way through the week. The location is about an hour away from the airport over curvy and speed-bump filled roads. A car is necessary if you want to explore or eat at the off-property restaurants.

When booking, we didn't realize that the property was on such a rocky beach, but there is a beautiful beach a short dive away, which the hotel will bring you to and pick you up from. Looking forward to going back.

Our five-day stay in February at this hotel revealed a property of stunning beauty, boasting spacious and well-maintained rooms, a picturesque beach, and excellent dining. The rooms were a true highlight, offering both comfort and cleanliness, complemented by lovely views. The hotel restaurant served delicious, albeit pricey, meals, and the pool bar offered enjoyable drinks.
However, the experience was significantly marred by inconsistent service and apparent staffing challenges. Check-in was chaotic, with long waits and frustrated guests, and we received no initial hotel information, leading to confusion about included amenities like breakfast. Throughout our stay, service was consistently slow, and the restaurant staff lacked warmth, failing to provide a welcoming atmosphere.
Pros:
* Beautiful and clean rooms
* Excellent views
* Private beach access
* Delicious restaurant food
* Great pool bar drinks
Cons:
* Significant staffing issues leading to slow service across the hotel
* Unfriendly and unenthusiastic restaurant staff
* Disorganized and inefficient check-in process
* Lack of clear communication regarding hotel amenities and inclusions.
While the physical aspects of the hotel were impressive, the service fell short of expectations. Despite the comfortable stay, the service issues would likely deter us from staying here again.

We reserved a walk out beach front room. The grounds, bar and restaurant are all excellent. For swimming it’s a bit rocky, but the resort has a shuttle that will take you to smugglers cove beach where they provide you with chairs and an umbrella that’s about 5 minutes away. A few areas that need improvement. First we had hot water issues around the time getting ready for dinner and before going to breakfast. Second, our patio furniture was missing cushions, as well as some of the wooden beach chairs. Third, robes should be switch out daily like towels. Not trying to be petty, but at $1000 per night, the resort should be close to perfect.

Amazing stay at Long Bay Beach. Service could be a little slow at times, but you’re on island time. Also, find out what time food options, bar closes, as it is earlier than expected for a vacation spot. Also, if you get car sick, request the airport transfer on the less curvy/hilly road. Although it may only be 5-7 miles, transit time is close to 30-45 minutes. Despite all the “issues” it was spectacular and would definitely go again.

Lovely resort with very fashionable rooms. We had 2 rooms. One was on ground floor facing ocean. The views were beautiful and the room was very comfortable. Unfortunately when we arrived the refrigerator had leaked and there was water all over the floor and the room key they gave us opened to an occupied room! Also the outdoor furniture cushions were missing or ill fitting. So you couldn’t really use the wood lounger with no cushion. Other units had their cushions.
The other room was a hillside one that was pretty and had a gorgeous view. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Just think they need to really check the rooms before guests show to make sure they are tidy and clean inside AND out. We found a broken wine glass just outside our deck on our path that could have caused a lot of foot damage had we not been flagged by the Neighbor next door. So attention to detail is a little weak at the resort, but overall it’s gorgeous there, comfortable beds, excellent food, but no cable too. No one explained that either. They need an in room list to explain the amenities too. Since the staff are very young and clearly not too well trained.

A few considerations, first, this is an absolutely beautiful property, the food is ok, but expensive, the beach is beautiful but there are rocks in the water preventing swimming and the front desk staff is absolutely worthless. Lastly, the spa is wonderful, but literally fire everyone associated with the front desk.

Long Bay was a perfect quiet retreat. The beachfront suite was beautifully appointed and the perfect spot for lounging on the patio or the beach just steps from our room. The staff was amazing. Very friendly and always accommodating.

The hotel has a problem with Expedia (or the other way around) that needs some attention quick! When you make a reservation, you will see (and pay!) one amount for your whole stay …. but when you get to the hotel, you’ll find that you have an outstanding balance (of about $500 usd)!!
Expedia says that is an issue that you have to take up with the hotel, and the hotel says that’s Expedia problem. In a nutshell: it’s the costumer problem.
In my opinion it’s an Expedia problem and they NO interest in solving it.

Truly a gem! Upon arrival we were greeted with a genuine welcome, a full explanation of accommodations and a welcome drink- Service is great! Property is well kept and rooms are clean and have beautiful views. From the pool to the ocean and from restaurant to bar everything is thought out for guests pleasure. Soak it in! Also, the beach with its loungers is perfect (essentially the sunsets!)

Beautiful new pool. Staff were all wonderful! Susan was such a fun spirit and so very nice to share her company! Rooms and bathroom were a touch small, not many places to store luggage and the bathroom fan was hooked up to the light switch so it sounded like a jet engine taking off in the middle of the night. The shower was cool. Property was well taken care of. Bar staff and food were all great. No information cards in the room which would have been helpful to know about restaurant hours, amenities, times, local shops and restaurants etc.
