We had to stay here due to our flight being cancelled because of the attack on Venezuela and they took care of us! The young man in the office was so accommodating and respectful. Our room was clean and comfortable. It’s amazing that they have a laundry facility onsite. Would highly recommend!

Everyone was courteous. Finding the place wasn’t easy. But we had a rental car. The room had a great view. It was next to an amazing bar and pool. Our only downfall was we found a crack pipe/ crack vile/ bag of weed and another pipe hidden on top of the kitchen cabinet. Management didn’t take responsibility for it claiming it was probably a previous tenant left it behind. Didn’t offer us any compensation, or anything. We felt uneasy about it and didn’t let housekeeping in. Worried maybe someone would come back to get it. I got rid of everything I found as I didn’t want it in our possession. Other than that the staff were all very nice especially the staff at Sudi’s Bar where we had delicious fish tacos.

I would recommend staying here if you want to be in the Sapphire Bay Area. Our room was very nice and spacious and included a patio that overlooked the marina. My only complaint with the room was that the bathroom door didn’t open or close easily due to the wood being warped. The property included beach access and restaurant options; I’d like to in particular call out Sudi’s Bar and Grille for being a great breakfast choice. The swimming pool area is decent but could use a little TLC. I also wasn’t very happy with my check-in as the person we worked with did not greet us warmly or provide us with much information. There’s not much to do in the immediate area other than the beach, so be prepared to have a rental or use a taxi. Luckily the latter is very easy to catch as there was always one around.

A storm caused a power outage across the island that started at 2am on our first night, most places got restored but our unit did get power until about 5 pm on day 3. Management knew there was an issue, but we had to call ask for updates and ask if there was anything that could be done to cool the room down to a sleeping temperature. Someone found us a box fan when we called the second night but management didnt make any other effort to keep us informed about when our room would be restored. There was no offer to look for other rooms or offer any recompense.
Even without that mess, the place was just ok. The room was a long way up a steep hill from the water. Location is great!!! Pizza place and bar on the beach were really good. The room needed some serious update. Appliances, kitchen faucet rusted, patio light didn't work and a few lamp bulbs were out as well. The beach amd pool were awesome!!!!

Check in was 3 pm and I sat in an air conditioned office until 3:30. I told the office I was disabled and our room was literally the highest up a hill and second to last room furthest away. I was told we go that building because of when we booked (a month ago). Our anniversary dinner is down at the beach. I will have to take a taxi a couple thousand feet down and back. Most people can walk straight up a steep hill and down. Also beware. There are 3 places called Sapphire here. This is the one with green/blue roofs up on a hill. Rude

Also Red Hook and the St John Ferry are very close and convenient. Would recommend, we would love to visit/stay here again.

This condo is outdated and needs attention. Tv only 4 channels brochure says cable. 1 radio don’t work broken antenna. 2 a/c units on patio make it impossible to set outside because of the heat the a/c produces. Ceiling fan in living room won’t work, blinds to patio have missing slats and won’t open and closes with the pull strings. You must manually turn each blind yourself. Clock has dead batteries.Checkin a night mare . The guard at gates kept sending us back and forth to check in. I knew we had to check in at the beach resort and get keys. Guard sent us to the condo side. The guard at condo side get angry that people are not given directions accurately. Called office number and guard was telling her to stop booking and not giving directions, she hung up on him. Called back and got another person this time. Told us to come back we’re we first went the first time. Didn’t give us a parking pass at check in. Had to go back again and ask for one after getting a note on our rental. This condo is not worth the price they charge. The decorations and furniture is 20 years old . Room was cleaned every other day. I feel the owners of this condo needs to upgrade or be forced to remove this rental. No extras like many condos no beach chars nothing extra at all. Sudies restaurant was nice , the pizza place at beach was very good. Cruise ships drop off beware, they pack the beach and take over . Get to beach early on cruise ship days. They come in groves and push the guest out and pack

Hotel was clean, but be aware of mosquitoes inside. The cable didn't work or no signal on 1, and the other couldn't watch local television, just the Roku hooked up to TV with no informative content. Also, we stayed in the Marine section, but was never told there was an actual beach onsite with food and entertainment, we just happened to found it by accident on our last night. That was disappointing. Although no fault of the hotel, the power went out on our last night, but I thought the hotel would've had generators, but they didn't. Overall, it was a good place to stay and Ill stay there again...hopefully with better communications.

Beautiful views of the bay from apartment perched on steep hillside and near a great beach, but not convenient without a vehicle. There was no coffee in the apartment, requiring a challenging walk on a steep hillside to get to a coffee shop near the beach. Restaurants and bars at the resort all closed after 6 PM, leaving no where convenient to eat or drink. There is no convenience store at or near the resort, necessitating a costly taxi ride into Red Hook to obtain basic provisions.

The beach was great. The communication with the office was terrible. The TV stopped working the third day, was never fixed. No beach chairs were provided. No safe was provided. The room was very drab and dreary feeling. The whole condo needs remodeled, updated and decorated.

I liked the quietness, the location to the beach, how the overall general grounds were kept. My individual unit lacked cable tv access and local TV channels. Accommodations in the unit were very basic and lacked charm and appeal in appearance. Would prefer to try another unit next time with a view and balcony.

Sapphire Villiage Resort is a great property. We had an excellent time once we found all of the amenities. Upon arrival the amenities were not communicated. There may have been a language or accent barrier that caused this issue. After a long day traveling on several flights and problems with pre-paid transportation from airport, I admit that I was a little tired and upset. After resting, we took a taxi off-site for dinner as the one restaurant mentioned on property was closed.
I found out about amenities the following morning while walking around the property inquiring where I could find a cup of coffee.

Buyer (guest) beware! Unless you ask very specific questions you can easily end up in a cheap Motel 6 type room thinking you’re getting real oceanside resort accommodations. Very disappointing. Also, and unrelated, STT airport, especially departures is a crowded nightmare which I will NEVER repeat.

We stayed for a few nights at Sapphire Beach Resort on the marina. The complex is very close to St John’s ferry. The condo was right on the marina with an east exposure. We could see the beautiful sunrise, the yachts, and ocean from the balcony.
Sapphire beach is a short walk but it has lots of sea weeds and we didn’t get in.
Our condo itself has old and some broken stained furnishings. It looks like original tile, kitchen. It’s very outdated.
But the location is very good.

This was a total farce. The Sapphire Village Resort is NOT a hotel! It was false advertising. I couldn't stay there. I want my money back. It is a disgusting run down tenament time share which has no lobby, zero amenities, no beach, no anything. I was scared to even go into the place.

Advertised cable tv and wifi. Both services weren't available in the room, although they were available to guests in adjacent rooms. Hotel staff told me the building was with out service but I spoke personally with multiple other guests who had service. Expedia was notified too and they have yet to email me a resolution 5 days later. (At the time of this survey I am already home and checked out) They still are telling me they are trying to contact the resort to find a solution... haha funny, I'm no longer there...

We had 3 rooms, of which only one was really nice. The property is really rundown and out dated. We were notified by Galleon House 6 weeks before our arrival that they were canceling our reservation because they gave our paid rooms to FEMA. We had to scramble to find something else, so we had to book here because we needed 3 rooms.

Our room was very outdated and ugly. Pillows were lumpy and smelled old, no security lock on door, only 1 channel on tv, sliding door old and difficult to slide, bedroom furniture falling apart (particle board), and no arrival info. We were dropped off and had to look for the office to check in??? Only nice thing was the view!

Disgusting and rooms are deplorable and outdated!! The pictures says it all!! And YES the pic with empty cans an constrution material even ole tooth brushes was located in our roome which we paid almot $200 for our one night stay. Advice to hotels.com, you Hotels.com should not have such hotels listed on your site as it tarnishes your reputation. See the pictures as evidence.

Really depends on what's important to you.
On the plus side staff was very nice, we never met an employee who wasn't super friendly and helpful. It's on a fantastic beach, so it definitely gets points for that. The onsite restaurant Slice had fantastic food and staff, some of the best meals I've eaten on the island. On the negative side, the room was in major need of renovations. Bed was the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on, absolutely. We did look in another room which was much nicer, so that may not always be the case, although I'd hate to know we paid the same rate. Calling it a \"resort\" is not at all accurate, more like a condo community that has seen better days. You have to ask an employee to unlock beach chairs for usage, which they promptly kick you out of at 6pm sharp to lock back up. Very strange, I've never encountered that before.
Overall, if a beautiful beach and proximity to Red Hook are what you're after I would absolutely recommend Sapphire Bay. If amenities and a guarantee of a decent room are the most important to you, I would not.

Beautiful beach but shoddy management
Contrary to description there is no WiFi i Sapphire Village. After showin confirmation clearl stating that therevshould be, we were given a room in Sapphire Beach where there was a router but no signal. Management took two days to finally acknowledge problem and contact phone company but when we left ten days later still no WiFi. Main bathhouse was closed for renovations. Pool bar was closed.

A very relaxing location and close to everything
The unit was nice but outdated. It met all my needs. The beach is within steps and is absolutely beautiful. The beach equipment is provided with the room, and the beach chairs. I was next to the marina and the view is amazing. It would have been nice to be able to be in the units that were upgraded but my overall visit was amazing and cozy. I enjoyed my stay.

A wonderful time at the condo and the beach with comfortable and spacious room, but not a great view. The amenities are adequate but missing beach chairs and wifi. No much on TV to watch, bring your groceries as they expensive on the island. The pool areas are great to chill. Long scenic walks is a must.

Everything in the room was so old, dirty and disgusting. It definitely needs some renovation and upgrading all the furniture. The fridge was probably 50 years old it was all rusty. We were even scared to sit on the sun beds on our balcony as they were so old and looked like they will break. The only good thing about our room was the view. All the rest was terrible

stayed one night to get to Red Hook ferry. This is not a good spot to stay for that purpose since you can't walk safely to the ferry dock less than one mile away. Taxi drivers won't take payments and fee is ridiculous!!
