Restaurant staff were exceptional. Great food, good vibes, clean rooms. The only downside was the front desk staff providing incorrect information about amenities and where to find them. The elevator to the beach was out of service, so plan on an epic adventure down a ton of stairs to get there.

When I arrived the check in staff was fabulous!! Overall the property is clean and beautiful. Although, it was overall clean my bathroom floor could use a thorough cleaning. Not sure if it is the norm but the response for room service is terribly delayed. Once I reached someone on the line they did provide a quick turnaround for my request. The Westin Resort did not post any events during my stay but maybe I didn’t catch them at a good time. Overall, it was a good experience.

Service was not up to par from checking in ( smile goes along way) Need mire people for valet parking, too many times we left jeep after waiting for an attendant. lounge bar took forever to get drinks. Wish there was someone going around pool area picking up old cups so we knew which chairs were taken and could use table for our drinks. Room cleaning at 6pm? really? elevator grinds at 4th floor-may want to get it serviced. our smoke detector light blinked so bright then I thought I would get seizures looking at so I slept the opposite side. I would suggest for soco night to lay off the fake smoke on meat. The views though were absolutely beautiful and listening to waves enjoyable. It would be even more enjoyable on our terrace if chairs were more comfortable and didn't leave waffle impression on back of legs. We really enjoyed the snorkel catamaran tour and the ease of getting on right at property.

Stayed for our honeymoon. The property was beautifully positioned on the water with views of the WICO port. The pools were clean and offered sun and shade options. Beach access (at nearby Bouy Haus) was less than ideal, you can visit the beach but there were no amenities for Westin guests (chairs, umbrellas, etc.). We wished there were more private places to just sit and relax, there were two chairs overlooking the beach which we loved but so did other guests.

Food options were obviously limited and expensive. Which we knew before we went. We were glad we had a car to venture out, but did have $40/day fees for valet only parking. We did experience low tire pressure on our rental and Valet attendants were able to help us with air.

Our garden view room was clean and spacious but we could often hear the family/crying children above us often through the bathroom vent…that was a bummer.

Caution: resort has cats that freely roam and while they’re super friendly, it’s odd to see them in the lobby and in the restaurant.

The food at their buffet was not good at the one restaurant they have the food was decent. Breakfast is not included and breakfast was not good. They have a swim up bar restaurant but it’s really just a bar that has a short menu. That food was absolutely horrible. They did however upgrade our room to an ocean view which is nice. Can’t imagine any other view that was pretty much the best part of the stay. Everything was overpriced and they do not accept cash. Which is inconvenient because most of the time when you leave the states credit card companies give you a hard time charging your card so I had to use one debit card the whole trip because I left the others at home.

I have traveled multiple Westin Properties. Given the current conditions of the USA, it is understandable of the difficulties these resorts face. However, this was not an all inclusive resort. The quality of food and cocktails were very reminiscent of all inclusive. But we’re NOT an all inclusive price.

Idk where to start.. but first they advertise being kid friendly and it's not. They have nothing for kids to do so if you don't rent a car do not bring your kids here.. they will be bored. The staff is rude, you'll run into one or two employees that are attentive but other then that they're all rude and have no sense of urgency. The front never answers the phone if there's an emergency. And if you walk to the front late at night the doors are wide open with no security and no one at the front desk. Cats everywhere and walking around where you're eating and they try to climb tables. The rooms are kind of old. And for stuff they sell it's super over priced.

Services are terrible at this hotel. It may be discriminated specfic type of perple. To some, it is extremely friendly with talking and explaining for 20 min. or longer while we were line up to check out for rushing to the airport at the time there were only two customers service representatives were available. When we checked in, they gave juice to almost all check in customers except us. I am not sure if it is discreminated or what! It’s ok, but not for the price, …it doesn’t convey a sense of luxury. I have also been to the Ritz Carlton in the same island and for a little more you get real feel of luxury, much better service and attention to details. In summary, I would choose it again if the price was half or less.

We stayed at the Weston on St. Thomas from April 24-29. Overall we loved our stay. All of the staff members were amazing! Every team member we spoke with was very helpful and patient with us.
The room was very nice and clean. We had an amazing ocean view from our room and we enjoyed spending early mornings and evenings out on our personal little patio enjoying it.
The shower was our main complaint about the room. There was not any hot water during “prime shower times”. We would try to shower around 7 am or 6 pm and only cool water came out. Give or take a couple of hours around these times and you should get a hot shower.
The pools were nice and relaxing.
The hallways need some repair, but everywhere else was very nice.
The atmospheres of the different restaurants at the resort are amazing, but we preferred eating in town.
We would definitely stay here again if we were going to hang out at the resort more. We were not there much and spent each day driving to all the different stunning beaches and spending our time at those beaches instead.

The fitness center was beautiful. However, all the bathroom's (male and female) were not very clean. Housekeeping for our room did a horrible job…I think they basically came in and made our bed and left new towels. However, they find time to sit and chat in the hallway. I am unlikely to go back there.

We had the best time at The Westin! Others complained about having reservations, but the property tells you multiple times you need a reservation to the restaurants except the Salt Shack. The beach was great, the pool was great and the variety of restaurants without leaving the property was great. Our room was very clean and the housekeeping staff was wonderful. Plenty of activities for kids. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others!

My stay at the Westin was extremely disappointing and did not meet expectations at all. This was far from a luxury experience.

The room had a noticeable moldy smell and could definitely use a dehumidifier. I reported the issue, but no one ever came to address it, which made the stay very uncomfortable.

We originally booked a garden view, but I was “upgraded” to a partial ocean view—and the view was not what I expected at all. When I spoke with a manager about it (an upgrade I didn’t even ask for), I was told that any sight of the ocean qualifies as a “partial view.” I was also told that if I didn’t like it, I could switch back to a garden view and look at the parking lot, which was not a reasonable solution.

I was also charged a $75 per night resort fee that was never clearly disclosed. At check-in, I was told I was all paid up aside from a daily hold, so this additional charge was unexpected and frustrating.

The amenities did not justify the cost whatsoever. There is no beach on the property, no beachfront access, and no real ocean views, which was very misleading.

The food was absolutely horrible, and there is only one restaurant on site. If you want additional options, you have to travel to a sister hotel, and the food there was no better.

Overall, between the poor service, lack of amenities, misleading information, and unexpected fees, this stay did not reflect a luxury experience in any way. I would not recommend this property.

Beautiful ocean view. However, the AC was making a noise and they couldn't fix it, they offer to change us to another room to the building next door. It was run down, not updated and would've been a downgrade from what we had reserved and paid for. We decided to stay in the same room with the noisy AC and we had to use Earplugs. I would say half of the staff was nice and helpful and the other half didn't really care and were just there because it's their job. The amenities were fine, one of the nights we went to use the hot tub the hot tub was not hot, I went and made 2 employees aware of the issue they said they were going to send someone to fix it after 1 hour of waiting no one came to fix the issue. Its a beautiful hotel but definitely could use some upkeep in the rooms. The buffet was decent, the alchol drinks seemed a little weak. There's a pool area for adults only which was a +, 2 other pool areas, and 2 hot tubs. The pool and ocean water are still pretty cool in April, not many people in the pool because of this.

Be forewarned, it's a random pick if you get a good room or not. Not all rooms are the same as advertised. Stayed longer than a week, changed room once. Paid for an ocean view (and a sanctuary in paradise). First room was near the loading dock and ear jarring noise at 10pm (trash compactor) and from 6am-8am (trucks going forward and backing up). 75% view of the ship harbor, which was pretty but wasn't the ocean. Second room quiet, but 10% harbor view (90% green turf surface, fences or mountain/sky). I felt like I drew a short straw (twice) for what I paid especially as you see the numerous rooms overlooking the ocean. So, if you get a nice room, you're happy. If you don't, well...

Beautiful views of ocean all around the hotel. Stayed in Seacliff Tower - room was lovely, ocean view, comfy bed, rain shower head in bathroom. Recommend taking stairs as elevators can be slow. Employees always available in front of hotel to get you in the appropriate cab for where you want to go. Enjoyed our visit very much. (Note: In St.Thomas it’s common to take shared vans as cabs which charge per person fees.)

The bay was visible from the room. It was gorgeous! The views from every angle were amazing. The staff were very sweet, the guys out front were very helpful getting transportation organized quickly.

The food at the restaurants could stand to be up upgraded… serving queso and chips or guacamole and chips would be ideal. Just do a side of each with chips for $15 for simplicity and you will sell them out day after day. Definitely do not continue your version of ceviche. Offer some simple things like street tacos, you did have a pizza that I did not try, but also maybe burgers besides one kind of three different types of burger

Additionally, you need a hotel deodorizer spray in the hallways to counter all of the smells. When you walk into nice hotels like a Hard Rock or something else that is in a tropical location, the hotels smell amazing and you need this.

The property itself is beautiful and the room was very nice, but the resort is not run well. One of us got food poisoning the first night due to undercooked shellfish and spent an entire day of vacation sick in our room. We notified the hotel, they said they would follow up, but they never did. Two nights later, another guest we met got the same undercooked shellfish in the same restaurant, but fortunately she did not eat any of it so did not get sick. This should not have happened a second time, we should have at least gotten an apology, and definitely wevshould not have had to pay the high price for that meal. The food in general was poor, the service was very slow, many choices did not exist, and the servers did not seem at all motivated. All of the prices were very inflated, so we expected that guests would be better treated. We tried to eat outside the hotel as much as possible. The workers were nice enough, but just unresponsive, and that is coming from what seems like an attitude from management of nobody really cares.

Cons - Mediocre overpriced food. Went in early March pools were cold - they should have been heated.

Consider transportation when budgeting. VERY expensive to take cabs anywhere usually $15 per person. But the property is too remote from town to walk.
