There was no elevators, we have to go through 3 flights of stairs to make it to our room, also the hours for the Bluebeard castle were limited, only 10am to 2pm

Front desk gals very rude, we were placed in a room four flights down stairs then 39 more stairs to pool and restaurant. Asked for luggage pickup at 8am to checkout to make our plane, had to call twice and still waited 28 minutes after carrying our bags up the four flights of stairs. I have bad knees and we were never given the heads up regarding our room location. The hotel was definitely not full this was off high season. Will not be back!!!

Good stay very nice place it’s just that we were told we could get an extend check out at no charge for an added hour but was later rejected at the last minute. The hotel was great not much around to shop you have to take a taxi to get around. On the property does have food but the cost is expensive compared to when you go out. The room we stayed in was good washer and dryer in the room. The staff should communicate better when one thing is told to a guest. I would recommend this locate 8/10

The location of the room itself wasn’t expected. There isn’t daily housekeeping, you need to bag the dirty towels and/or linen and call the front desk and let them know you need them refreshed. 1st time staying at a hotel where daily housekeeping doesn’t happen. The two times I called the front desk, Julissa answered and the towels spent hours outside the door until I called an additional time to remind them. Lots of stairs to the room and to get to the pool. You’ll be charged $75/hr extra past 10 am check out.

Speaking from a former front desk supervisor, night staff the ladies were terrible. They might need customer service training.

My room was very clean and comfortable.This location is central and a great place to stay. Staff were very helpful. There should be some signs to direct guests to the different amenities restaurants, gym, pool etc. The restaurant are needs cleaning the bar counter top was very dirty. The foods were horrible. The steak I ordered I could not eat. Having a pet cat feeding area close to the restaurant is never a good thing.

This is more of an adult resort; there was not much for kids to do and the behavior and explicit language used by guests around and in the pool was not appropriate for children, in my opinion. In the room, the washer and dryer did not work, the television had no sound, the shower leaked so it created a flooded bathroom floor after each shower. We were only given two pool towels for four people in a one-bedroom villa, even after asking 3 times for the front desk to bring additional towels. The food, however, was excellent at the (only) resort restaurant. Overall, it was fine, but I would not stay here again.

Our suite had tropical tile floors, a cozy balcony, and a small kitchenette with a cooktop, mini fridge/freezer, microwave, and sink. It was spacious for two and comfortable, though it could use a few minor repairs. We also saw a 1-bedroom king suite with a full kitchen, wraparound balcony, and dual bathroom access—great layout.
The pool and jacuzzi hours (8am–12am) were perfect for relaxing, and the bar served a good breakfast—get there early if you have excursions. The staff was helpful and friendly, especially Shawn & the at the front desk team who gave great tips for dining, nightlife, and getting to St. John.
We arrived before check-in but were able to complete the process early and enjoy lunch at the pool bar while we waited. They offer bell service and pool towels are already in your suite, which was convenient.

This is not really walkable to anything. The roads are too steep and there is not always a sidewalk. Front desks people were not friendly. They seemed bothered. Our unit 401 had about 4 flights of stairs to take to come and go. Daughter said sofa bed was not comfortable and lastly the noise (bands, etc) from the area below goes until late night/early morning - earplugs would’ve been helpful. Appreciated the updated bathroom, washer and dryer, coffee maker and coffee, cold AC, nice view of cruise port, quick drive to many good places to eat.

My problem was that my bathroom shower drain had hair in it and the floors wasn’t clean. Sticky and slippery. Also if there’s no towels and wash cloths on the rack where they belong look under neath the sink in the cabinet. The room was awesome awesome though.

Staff put us in a room that we nicknamed the dungeon. 6 flights of stairs down with no elevator. Asked to be moved siting ADA limitations to no avail. Room did not have a phone ☎️ which was another problem. Thank God I didn’t have a medical emergency while there because I would have surely died. Staying at Bluebeard was an absolute joy! Staff was helpful, there’s always a taxi ready to take you were you need to go, and the view is insanely gorgeous. As a solo woman traveler I felt safe and cared for. My only complaint is my room didn’t have a phone in it. But the front desk provides you with all the contact numbers that you can dial from your cellphone. Also, from my balcony you could hear all the music on a Saturday night for free.

Overall it was a good experience but there were a few really silly things. They didn’t serve hot tea at the pool bar which is where breakfast is. So we had to go upstairs to get hot water. I had my first solo trip here to this hotel and I absolutely loved it. From the time I arrived until the time I departed, I felt like I was in great hands. Special thank you to Mr. Shaun at the front desk who made sure I was okay each day knowing that I was traveling alone. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I had a studio suite that was really nice with kitchenette, washer/dryer in my room and a beautiful balcony with a gorgeous view 😍. I will be staying here again when I return.

A lot of changes at the Castle since my last stay. The grounds looked amazing! The workers were very friendly on our daily walk. Everything appears to have a fresh coat of paint. Also there are now elevators to get you around the multilevel compound should you need them. Once again we stayed in Pirates Pension and enjoyed the balcony overlooking the cruise ships. But with that view came a lot of noise pollution. Of course the Castle has no control over this as there are 2 very busy roads just below it. I won’t stay in PP again but I would stay at the Castle again. I’ve been coming back for over 30 years.

Blue beards is a really great place to stay. It was very comfortable and had a great view! The only compliant Inhave is that I wish I had booked it through the hotel and not hotels.com! There was a washer/dryer unit in the bathroom which we didn’t use. Convenient parking near our unit. However, our unit was 3 flights down from the parking lot (no elevators). One night we ate at the hotel restaurant. Food was mediocre. Lovely view of the harbor. Toward the end of dinner, it started to rain very hard and the ceiling started leaking heavily forcing diners to try to avoid getting soaked. Restaurant workers were slow to assist customers.
