Olga's Fancy was a perfect beginning and ending to our St. Thomas and St. John tour. We loved the host, the pool, the Frenchtown area, and the proximity to the airport and ferry. It was as described and really delightful. Thank you, Olga's and Candy!

We spent 3 days in St Thomas and had a wonderful stay at Olga’s Fancy. Ed & Candy greeted us upon arrival with a smile and a “welcome back” since we had stayed 2 years ago. Our room was clean and well equipped. What was really great were their recommendations for a beach day at Magen’s and a ferry over to St. John for the day! We enjoyed both very much! Olga’s is in Frenchtown within walking distance to the Frenchtown deli, and other good restaurants! We will definitely stay again!! Thank you Candy & Ed for making our stay special. Lynn & Jim

The bungalow we stayed in was a duplex and didn't provide a lot of noise privacy but the court yard on the harbor was private with an outstanding view all times of day. They had all the extra stuff you'd need on the island- sun screen, umbrellas, snorkeling gear, beach towels, filtered water, books, etc.
There was a fridge in the room but no microwave or coffee pot. Still had everything we needed to be self sufficient. We stayed for 2 weeks and would definitely stay there again.

The view was beautiful and that was about it. The property is run down and needs some attention. Our slider door didn’t completely seal and allowed many bugs to enter the room. The bed was comfy, but pillows were way too fluffy. Hot water to the shower took 10 minutes.

This small hotel was a gem!!! From the moment we arrived, we felt the welcoming and relaxed environment. Candy (and sweet Buddy the cat) got us all checked in. Our room was spotless, had a very islandy vibe and the BEST view. The morning coffee was a nice bonus as we started each day. There are several great restaurants within walking distance. We really enjoyed the local deli/coffee shop for breakfast and The Frenchtown Bistro and Oceana for dinner. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip.

Loved the Twisted Cork, Pie Whole, and the Frenchtown Deli (deli had bevs and snacks you could take back with you - sandwiches were big enough to split and very reasonably priced). Enjoyed pool days, island tour with Ricky, and complimentary coffee in the mornings. The creamer was delicious. ;) Very relaxing time!

Nice place to stay. Alittle different then we were accustomed to, but the place was very clean and quaint. The views are immaculate from your balcony. The swimming pool is very clean. Wish it was heated in the evening. The room didn’t have any carpet on the floor throughout. It was bare concrete, theres no paper towels in the rooms or ledge in the shower to place your toiletries. The walls are VERY thin so caution. The air works very well and the owners are very pleasant! They also provide tea and water for the guest!

The drive up to the property was very bumpy and rocky. The alley’s getting to the property are very tight. When coming back to the property after hours, there’s a man who closes the gates so that you’re unable to get to the property and you have to get out of your vehicle to move the gates just to get past. Although we understand that the property is right on the ocean we had a huge water bug (roach) in our room. I wish we would’ve been told beforehand that the property/island does not have drinking water and it was very nice of the property owners to give us one bottle of water for our three night stay. I would say that the property is absolutely beautiful, but the walls of the rooms are paper thin. My Husband and I for sure overheard the couples next to us enjoying their adult time alone and let’s just say they were not shy about it at all. Overall, it was an okay stay but we wouldn’t stay here again.

We had the most absolute wonderful time at Olgas. The owners were very pleasant and helpful with reccomendations. My only suggestion is adding a microwave to rooms or even to coffee and dining room. We could never finish our food and had to throw it out. Other than that the VIEWS 😲 the staff... superb. Oceana was a wonderful place to dine next door and both places forever in our fondest memories bc the trip of a lifetime resulted in our engagement as well! Thanks again from two boring Kansans. Room #17 offers panoramic St. Thomas views. In the dark of night, town lights transform the view to the left. During the day, boats animate the energetic waters. The cottage is built at water's edge, which ensures a constant, calming sound of waves. Nearby restaurants Oceana and French Quarter Bistro have excellent menus. And Eddie provides excellent coffee each morning, a wonderful tradition that brings together inn guests.

I really liked this place and I am pretty picky. The island has lots of elevation differences. So as usual, you will climb some steps to get to rooms. Nothing unusual but if it is a problem then this place (and most others) could be a challenge. To me it’s worth it. Cool island vibe and eco conscious. Proprietor is a fountain of knowledge and advice. Treats you fairly. Definitely will stay again!!!

Our room was clean and nicely furnished, comfortable but not luxurious but in line, with the price. The owners are friendly and helpful. The pool provided a refreshing oasis from the heat. If you are hoping to experience St Thomas like a local, Olga's Fancy should be high on your list. Tucked away at the end of a peninsula in Frenchtown, it is easy to see why past Governors and the Russian Consulate chose this hillside estate overlooking both Charlotte Amalie and the ocean. You'll be footsteps (and a few staircases) away from several quality restaurants, as well as the jitney bus system that can take you to Brewers Beach, Charlotte Amalie, Sapphire Beach, and Red Hook (where you can catch the passenger ferry to St. John).
We chose a seaside room and loved our private balcony. We also enjoyed coffee on the lanai each morning and the pool to ourselves nearly every night. We like walking and exploring more than sunbathing on the beach, so it was not a concern that Olga's Fancy is more on views and city access focused than being a beachfront resort.

When choosing a small, family run hotel vs the big box resorts, you need a few things which Olga’s covered. The rooms were clean with excellent views, the air conditioning works great, and the pool was very nice. Add a rich history and coffee with the owners, Candy and Eddie, it makes for a special stay.
