Staff were lovely. A lively part of town..A ten minute walk to our cruiseship the next day. Conviient for shipping and eating out. Do not try to find the black beach. Stick to the main beach. Our instint was to walk up to yhe fancy white building that looks like sails. Our intinct was wrong. That was the wrong way! Nothing much up there.

Good 3 star hotel in a great location. Quick and friendly check in. Decent size room with a good shower, small square balcony overlooking plaza but no furniture and not big enough to sit on. Bed quite firm for me but this is personal taste.

Good location but can be a bit noisy at night. Requested a quiet room but despite this was put directly 1floor above bar downstairs. Room was fine but balcony is a tiny rectangle just to be aware. Breakfast basic and wouldn’t pay for again in hindsight.

You WON'T get what you pay for..

You don't and WON'T get what you paid for.. 3 months in advance I booked a king/double bed room. (I prefer not to stay in hotels that don't have large beds).. On check in I was tole they 'just checked in a large group and have no double/king bed rooms left AND IF I WASN'T HAPPY WITH THIS I CAN GO TO ANOTHER HOTEL!.. No they didn't' offer' me alternative accommodation but for me to leave the hotel I booked without refund..
The room allocated.. 1. Stank of cleaning chemicals so strong that even though I slept with the balcony door open, I still woke with a headache and sore throat!! and 2. The fllor at bathroom door was not only damaged but badly repaired and a tripping Hazzard... Though this hotel is cenral it's best to go a little further from the port and GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! I also contacted a hotels.com agent about this on the day and got NO response to my complaint.

Even renovated the little (very) rooms have minimum amenities: fridge, Small tv, shower, and fonctionning ac. The hotel is so central that you are too close to the main Plaza with all the night noise. Lots of better suggestions for hotels in the vicinity.

Nice hotel in a very good location. Had little trouble with the noise on first floor inside courtyard room as the ventilation system engine was just below the window and opening it was little disturbing. Ironically didn't find any ventilation in the room itself, so opening the window was kind of necessity.

We liked this hotel since it had the best location property (between Las Americas and Fanabe beach), between all the shops and restaurants, very live and happy. On the other hand late at nights, this sounds of music could be a bit too much for those people who like to be in a quite places. For a 4-star hotel, it had everything: modern, clean, helpful staff, great breakfast and very strong internet wifi.

The Adonis main plus is its location is superb next to shops, restaurants and transport and tram stop is 5 mins walk away. The price per night is great and loads of cafes around for breakfast. The down side room are small, walls a thin and ear plugs a must if you are a light sleeper but on the whole Santa Cruz is great and definitely worth a few nights to explore.

This is a good budget hotel recently refurbished. Very clean comfortable bed and good breakfast. Rooms onto the square are pleasant during the day but can be noisy at night so if you’re a light sleeper ask for a quiet room off the square but you won’t have a view.

My review of Hotel Adonis Plaza

I stayed at this hotel for 6 days in May 2019. To eat breakfast for this hotel you have to go across the street. You have to go there another Hotel, Hotel AdonisCapital. There's a Mcdonald's across the street from Hotel Adonis Plaza. This hotel is like 5 blocks away from the tram stop Fundacion. A few blocks south of there is the main bus terminal. The main post office for Santa Cruz De Tenerife is a block a half away.

The front desk staff speaks excellent English, like Mouna and Jose. Mouna told me what bus to take to get to Puerto De La Cruz and Loro park etc. Jose was helpful to about how to get to Siam Park, Teide, etc. The hotel has luggage storage.

My room had a few outlets, the wi-fi was great. I had a safe, air conditioner, Flat-Screen T.V, desk, phone, double bed. This place is smack dab in the middle of everything. I'll stay here again.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable and ideally placed in the town centre.
Just a couple of minor points - like so many hotels the shower tray was very slippery when wet.
Also one of the wardrobe doors was faulty but in a 5-night stay that was pretty unimportant.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was a pleasure to consult them.

Stayed here a week during Christmas. Great location, decent rooms. Breakfast was average and it is worthwhile to go as early as possible because they tend to run out of the most popular dishes.
Parking is 10 euros a night around the area. Recommended.

Wow what a fantastic location, only problem is it can be noisey. our room was right above 100 Montaditoes & they make an annoucement when the food is ready, but only till midnight, then 1 hour clearing up.Then the bin men at 3.30 AM
Apart from that it is a nice clean & comfortable hotel.
Breakfast in the sister hotel was good with great views
Parking in the underground car park was €9.95 per day
Would stay again, but only with a better positioned room

Warranty the service of A/C, or refund your money

We complain the A/C is not working and they never fix it, we ask to move to another room, but they said the hotel is full, so we spend our 5 days without air conditioning. The location is excellent. Overall, We do not recommend this hotel to anybody.

The advertised resturant/bar was being worked on so not available. Add to that our room 305 was just below the work, we found out first morning. The jack hammer right above our heads. They were not able to give us another room. After that it was not that bad. We walked across plaza to sister hotel for breakfast, not ideal. Other cafes in block.

Good if you're out all day. Parking=extra charge.

Very small room, clean. Breakfast was served at a different hotel. It said there's parking available if you book in advance. The parking doesnt belong to the hotel and requires a few min walking and a descending 3 floors underground by foot (try it with the luggage). At no point was it mentioned that we need to pay extra for it, it was only at the check out they demanded 10 euros for the parking for 1 night. Just be honest about the details, dont false advertise your buisness.

After all, no matter the conditions, it is clear that you can not have luxury at this price. But it was an indescribable mess, that is, the bathroom was miserable, it smelled terrible and it had all sorts of hair on the floor and through the tub. No thorough cleaning was done, everything was sticky. You were afraid to sit on the toilet or on the bidet, I really did not expect that.

Noise all night long, no sleep

Put us in the room on the plaza side where there was a music festival until about 12, then from 12 - 3 am, they took down the stage, very nosey, then from 3-5, the drunks outside were singing and then from 5-8 the rubbish collectors and lorries kept us awake, no sleep.

It was fine: functional, adequate accommodation, not flash, fancy or luxurious but cheap, friendly and very well placed for looking around Santa Cruz - many cafes and restaurants right on the doorstep, great shopping and beautiful gardens and interesting sights all very close by.
Recommended as a good value stopover but don't expect high luxury.

I normally don't do this, but it's a quite poor quality hotel compare to other 3 star accommodations around Europe. We normally don't care much about having a fancy room as we only go to sleep there a bit. So normally we're good with a decent bed and cleanliness, which our room didn't have at all.. but Santa Cruz itself and the superb location of the hotel made up for it!

Insomniac Carnival!

Normally the Hotel is well sited for City attractions. But don't go when the Carnival is on as its sited right near the Hotel. This means a whole week of extremely loud club \"music\" all night long. Insomnia!
But the hotel staff were very accomodating and helped us to move to a quieter venue.

Great city centre location.

We spent a week here in January. The hotel is right at the heart of the city. The nearby streets are pedestrianised with lots of cafes and restaurants. Getting about is easy with the tram stop 5 minutes away taking you one stop to the city bus station. The promenade overlooking the busy harbour is also 5 minutes walk .

A good holiday in Tenerife

The room was reasonably clean but the view was not nice facing the other wing of the hotel.
The hotel is situated in a very good location next to many restaurants, cafes, and shops. Public transport (tram and buses) is available on a short walking distance as well as most places of interest in the central area of Santa Cruz. Also the port is nearby with ferry links to other Canary Islands.

New Year's Eve Treat!

I stayed on new year's eve for 2 nights. The room was a bit dark, even with the curtain pulled back and the view was a bit disappointing. But the staff were extremely friendly and efficient, the room and private bathroom were lavish,spotless and smelt wonderful. There was a fridge. The hotel was very close to cafes, shops and the open bus tour stop was nearby with a local buses running frequently. It was of a high standard for a 3 star hotel... I would definitely want to stay there again.

Centrally situated for walking the town and within walking distance of the port. The only criticism was the very small window in the room causing lack of natural light and the electric lights were not strong enough to compensate. The evening meals were very good and not overly priced.

My second stay here, very good

I enjoyed staying here. The room was clean, the shower was hot with good water pressure, and the bed was reasonably comfortable (without being luxurious). The electronic key system worked well.

The buffet breakfast was really good: cereals, yogurt, four types of fresh fruit, six types of hot food, meats and cheese, and lots of breads and cakes. Coffee and juice were from machines and were adequate. There was also a range of other drinks including decaf coffee, specialist teas, hot chocolate etc.

This time I had a room above the main street, which was noisier than the back-facing room that I had last time. There was some noise coming from the restaurant below, but it was good-natured chatter and didn't stop me getting to sleep (it was quiet before midnight anyway).

The hotel is located in the heart of Santa Cruz which makes it very easy to access to public transport. I just had breakfast at the hotel and it was nice with a good selection of food. My first night was not very good as I was staying in the 3rd floor and I got all the noise from the restaurant which is in the 4th floor very early in the morning so if you don't want to get up that early don't stay in the 3rd floor. I moved to the 1st floor and it was much better.

The towels are very old so I think it's time to get new ones. Apart from that I had a very pleasant time in this hotel.

Had exactly what I needed, at a not-too-high price

My room was well-maintained and clean. The in-room WiFi worked well. There was no extra charge to use the room safe (just a refundable key deposit). The electronic key worked reliably. No balcony though. A good hot shower and a comfortable bed. My only criticism is that the blue light on the TV was really bright and I had to cover it up at night to sleep.

The buffet breakfast was very good. Cereals, hot dishes (eggs, sausages, and Spanish dishes), pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, banana bread, etc. However, the coffee from the machine was uninspiring.
