Convenient location

One night stay. Well located, about 15min from main bus station, and just around the corner of the main shopping area in SC. Very basic and clean room, espacious bathroom, excellent wi-fi connection. Breakfast served in the the hotel across the street with very good service. Good value for money with this hotel for sure.

Worst night ever!!

Overnight stay in Santa Cruz with my Wife - Hotel beds were terrible - Asked for double-Got singles and mine tipped over in the night sending me sprawling to the floor.

Room was uber basic, far too hot and sweaty and the ceiling fan made next to no difference. Had to open all windows and listen to street noise all night to be able to breathe.

Bathroom very tired with hairs in the bath and an absolutely useless shower. Also, bathroom window was essentially hanging off.

Overall decor poor with fresh paint just brushed on over old, flaking paint, plaster.

Terrible night and in no way would I recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very very noisy! On Saturday night we were unable to even consider going to sleep before 1am.
No view to speak of.
The room was very small with very little workspace for luggage.
On the plus side it was clean and the staff friendly.
Nice location being in the city centre.

Basic accommodation in a really hot loud room but at least there was a fan. The window opened onto a square shaft which had slamming unattended windows with the thankful breeze that went straight down for 8 stories. Some rooms appeared to have balconies but maybe not through Expedia. It was pretty scary having the window open as it was at waist height and close to the bed. The area right near the hotel is at the heart of the old city which is spectacular!!!
If you don’t mind a non air con room , I guarantee you will love the location in probably the the most compact old beautiful city that I have ever been in.

We were supposed to stay at adonis capital but were sent over to adonis plaza. It was ok. No restaraunt open in hotel for buffet breakfast so were sent to a local cafe for a coffee and toastie !!?? All in all a bìt disappointing.

Great hotel, great value, great breakfast.

The price of this hotel was amazing, considering you were in the centre of a capital city, perfect location for sightseeing, overnighter for a cruise and all tourist attractions in the north of the Island. Also, you are so close to the bus and tram lines if you want to travel further afield.
The room was fine, good size, large bed (could have done with more pillows!), had top floor in hotel which had a large terrace overlooking the city, port and sea. The bathroom was huge which had a shower in a bath. The shower could do with updating.
Breakfast was great, quite surprising, such variety.
Not sure if hotel is suitable for people with limited mobility. The breakfast room was at top of hotel and you had to walk up the last flight. Also, our room had quite a deep step to get on the terrace.
We booked another night as we enjoyed hotel so much.

Great location - terrible breakfast service

Hotel checkin opened at noon, we weren't allowed in room until 3pm. People were doing construction on the entry way throughout our visit.

The breakfast buffet area also accommodates their hotel from across the street. It is a madhouse in there, no plates/silverwear, no cups, one day there was no food (still had an hour left of breakfast service) and a massive line of people, not enough tables. Would not recommend the breakfast service at all.

Location is good. About a 15 minute walk from the main bus station if arriving by public transport. Right in the downtown, 3 blocks from the water. Great location.

If staying here during Carnival, they have a huge sound stage outside the hotel and the music goes until 6am some nights. Be warned!

Hotel Adonis Capital is a no frills hotel in a very convenient location within the centre of Santa Cruz. The room and bathroom are spacious, clean and functional. The bed is large and comfortable and we had a fridge in the room. We also had a large balcony that overlooked the main square and we could see the sea. The price was very reasonable and the hotel is within walking distance of the Santa Cruz ferry terminal. We also walked to all the main museums, churches and places of interest

The location was in the middle of where you want to be.
The staff was great.
And the breakfast was all that you could want.
Because of its great location, it was a little noisy until about 11 at night. The activities in the square were great entertainment. You might want to bring earplugs if you want to sleep before 11 PM

Great hotel, in a great location, with a lovely buffet breakfast on top floor. Only complaint I have is that our room 405 was directly opposite the housekeepers linen store, & a delivery was made every morning, including weekends, around 6.30-7.30. Doors are v.thin & every bang, thump & lift door could be heard. Otherwise, lovely hotel, in great location!

Once you arrive at the hotel, you need to ask for the parking in case you have a car. At the reception they will tell you that you need to pay extra 10.00€ per night just for the car park but no worries, there are a lot of free parking so don’t bother paying out all that money. The hotel wasn’t brilliant. If you have a room without a balcony, what you will see will be a white wall once you open the window and if you do have a balcony, you will face the plaza. We didn’t have a balcony so the white wall was a bad surprise for us.

Lovely big room with a small balcony which overlooks the square. Of course that isn't good when people are singing outside in the wee hours. Breakfast had a good choice of items. Beds were comfortable as was the room itself. TV didn't have any English language channels but if the weather is nice you'll be out and about anyways. Can't really think of anything bad to say about this property and we would stay here again. Area around had loads of shopping and cafes.

If you are on a budget and are fine with a very basic hotel, this hotel will meet your needs. The rooms are small but clean. Hotel is in a great location, very close to the Pedestrian Shopping Mall and is within walking distance of the Port Cruise Terminal. There are many cafes and restaurants nearby.

Overall very good, but uneven

The bed was great, which is surely the most important thing. But the shower was terrible - a dribble rather than a spray. And the WiFi was unusable - mostly it would not respond, and when it did respond it took minutes to load a simple web page.

The soundproofing was excellent, and the noise from the plaza did not trouble us at night, even when there was amplified sound down there. Overall value for money was very good too.

The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had, with so many fresh fruits - banana, pear, papaya, kiwi, apples, kaki, melon, etc. Plenty of (Spanish) cereals, meats, eggs, pastries, etc. It's just a pity that the coffee from the machine was rather poor.

Some rooms have balconies; ours didn't. A few rooms only overlook an internal lightwell, fortunately ours wasn't one of those.

Nice hotel close to restaurants and the bus line.

We enjoyed the hospitality of the hotel receptionist, cleaners, and cafe waitress. The street noise was bothersome at night for sleeping. The combination of going on 2 lifts to get to our room was a bit confusing, because 2 buildings are connected.

Very helpful staff, especially those on reception. Central location was useful, especially with a tourist information kiosk only a few steps away.
Brown tile decoration was a bit startling and could do with bedside lights, but bed (memory foam mattress) was comfortable and room was clean.
Overall, a nice hotel, good location and friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again

Conveniently located city centre budget hotel

Good points:
- Easy to find.
- Competitively priced for a city centre hotel.
- Friendly, multilingual staff.
- Good (inclusive) WiFi.
- Good views from the breakfast room on the 8th floor.
- Breakfast buffet was better than I was expecting from the photos...although be careful when walking round the corner near the cakes!
- I didn't notice too much street noise which was a surprise (I was in a room a few floors above the entrance).

Not so good points:
- I didn't sleep that well in here for some reason. I think it may have been noise from other floors but I can't put my finger on it.
- My room was a strange design. It seemed as though a lot of space had been given over to the hallway for no obvious reason. Also, all the light switches were located by the entrance door. Initially, this meant that I had to walk across the room in the dark when I wanted to go to sleep...until I worked out you could leave the bathroom light on, turn the other three lights off and then turn the bathroom light off from nearer the bed!
- The TV said 'no signal'; this was not a priority for me and I'm sure the hotel staff would have done something about it if I had asked.
- There was a safe in the room but the hotel had yet to receive the keys for it.
- There was a bit of confusion about whether breakfast was included. This was resolved by the waitress after she made a phone call.

Overall, a competitively priced city centre hotel that is well located to allow exploration of the city.

Convenient city centre location, a bit noisy.

I chose this hotel as a stop over when cycling around the island. It was easy to find and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I was allowed to take my bicycle up in the lift and keep it in the room. There is a free internet terminal for guests and free wifi. The breakfast was excellent - cooked food, cereals, cakes, fruit as much as you can eat and drink for just €5 - a real bargain!

Great place to stay for the money

Everything was perfect. Easy check-in, friendly staff, beautiful large room overlooking Plaza de Espana. Great breakfast and dinner if you do the half board. Excellent location walkable from major bus station. It is maybe 2 kilometers but easy walk and beautiful walk as well. If you walk to the plaza de Espana and look up the road, you will see one on the right and left of the street about a block up. They are owned by same people.

Everything I needed at a reasonable price

The important things for me are a quiet room, a comfortable bed, a shower that works well, and a good breakfast. If I can have those things, then I'd rather pay a cheaper price than have extra facilities. So, although a balcony would have been nice, I can't reasonably expect (as a solo traveller) to be given one of the larger rooms with balcony. This was my second stay at the Adonis Plaza, and I would happily stay there again.

Note that if you book the dinner, this is at the Adonis Plaza, a block away. I ate there one night, and the fixed price of €9 included water (many hotels charge for all drinks when taking an \"included\" buffet meal). I thought the food was good quality, although there wasn't a huge choice.

Stayed in November 2012 Rm 804. Rooms are simple but very clean. Service is great. Breakfast is very good for a very reasonably priced hotel. Easy walk to everything in town. I was suppose to stay for 2 days but extended to 6 for personal reasons. Hotel very accommodating. Hotel has limited private parking short distance away. Parking on the street - hard to find space. However they did accommodate my request in another private garage nearby I was very satisfied. Would definitely stay again,

Great for Single Travlers

I was due to stay in the hotel only 1 night and had to stay 3 due to unforeseen complications. But, the staff was more than accommodating, the room was cleaned beautifully, it was comfortable and the breakfast was surprisingly nice. I especially loved the Hot Coco machine. I don't speak much Spanish, but the staff did what they could to help me. Plus, the location is UNBEATABLE. Only complaint is the heat- but the fan did a nice job keeping me cool at night. I'd stay there again easily. I was looking for a safe and comfortable place to stay, as I was alone and needed to feel safe traveling alone, and this was a great choice.

The price was reasonable. The room was spotless, and surprisingly quiet for the center of Santa Cruz. No balcony, but an urban outlook across the semi-open lightwell. The included breakfast was excellent, except for the coffee machine which was uninspiring. The location was very convenient for the tram, plazas, shops etc, and the bus station was 15 minutes walk away. The only downside was that the room's emergency exit light flickered on briefly whenever the lift started up, but it wasn't bright enough to keep me awake. The free WiFi worked well in the room, the breakfast area, and the two small public areas.

Though this hotel may not live up to the beauty the name implies, it is clean, well located on a plaza (above a popular MacDonald's) and very affordable. Hallways are spookily underlit. Rooms are sparely decorated. I liked the very firm bed and generous bathroom; some may not enjoy the television without any English-speaking channel or the lack of air conditioning. I was comfortable without, but wish my oscillating fan's operation was not limited by a two hour timer. A modest breakfast served on the uppermost 8th floor was nevertheless a welcome bonus and peeks at the port and ocean are wonderful. I'm hopeful that an airline will never again delay me so much that I miss a cruise's initial port of embarkation, but should I wind up in Tenerife awaiting my ship, I would gladly spend a night here.

A new and modern hotel. Located in the center of the city very clos to plaza espana. The room was very clean, the breakfast was good. There is free wi fi in the rooms. If you traveling by car please notice that it is hard to find free parking to park in santa cruz and the public parking is very expenssive.

El personal de la recepción muy agradable.
Las vistas espectaculares. Gracias por ésta habitación. La habitación muy amplia y la terraza espectacular...pero es la única así del hotel... así que muy agradecida poder disfrutarla.

La ubicación perfecta para que necesitábamos.

Posiblemente vamos a volver, si nos toca la misma habitación seguramente. :-)
Personalmente hubiera elegido otro color de paredes.

El desayuno muy pobre, no vale la pena tener el desayuno incluido.

De lokatie is geweldig, aan een mooi plein. De receptionisten erg vriendelijk in tegenstelling tot de receptie aan de overkant bij adona plaza waar het ontbijt geserveerd wordt. Het ontbijt is oké zeker als je kijkt naar wat je voor de overnachting betaalt, de ruimte is wat klein... De vrouw die het ontbijt regelt is klasse! De kamer was netjes en nieuw met balkon. Jammer dat er geen finishing touch was. Geen ophanger voor de toiletrol, Het water van de douche liep door op de vloer en een gesloten afvalbakje zou beter zijn. Het bed is daarentegen weer erg goed . Al met al tevreden!
