Staff were courteous and polite however for a premium room I felt the decor was below standard and dated. The breakfast wasnt worth the money, hot dogs, overcooked bacon, dry scrambled eggs, no fried eggs and no beans. Also the wifi was non existent. We ordered a taxi fir the airport yet had to walk with luggage to the nearest taxi rank which was 10 minutes away

Room cleaned. Great value! Unfortunately i left a cellphone charger and plug in converter. I was trying to call them. But they did not answered the phone. I couldn't reach out to the hotel. Please let me know how i can contant them to find my charger and converter if possible.

The hotel was exceptionally clean and the decor very good. The location was excellent overlooking the park. The area looked even better with the Christmas lights. We loved everything about the hotel apart from there not being a kettle and tea and coffee in our room. I really do think for the price we paid for the room, (which wasn't cheap for bed & breakfast) that we should have been provided with these facilities.

Located in central Santa Cruz the hotel is perfectly placed for getting about the town. Tram, bus and taxi links are nearby. The room we stayed in was clean and well maintained. The bathroom was immaculate.
The staff were all very professional and friendly, providing advice as and when needed.

Convenient hotel located right in the city center on one of the main streets, where you have a bakery right next door, and a really tasty restaurant El Aguila a bit down the street.
Hotel was clean and convenient. Didn’t really use many of their offers, but everything about my stay worked really nicely. Easy with early check-in as well.

Great hotel in fabulous location in Santa Cruz

The hotel is in a fabulous location in Santa Cruz - facing the lovely central square with shaded trees surrounded by many restaurants, shops, musuems etc. Its dining room on the 1st floor provides great views while having breakfast or dinner. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was also large with very good facilities and complimentary soaps, shampoo etc. The bed was very comfortable and the large TV had many channels. Staff were very efficient and their service was excellent.

The location was great. It was right in the center, next to a bus stop and yet on a pedestrian only street so very peaceful. The included breakfasts were great and served on white tablecloths by uniformed waiters. Our room had a balcony as well but no coffee maker and the hair dryer was sketchy. The service was great though and had we mentioned it I’m sure it would have been replaced. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice enough but could do much better.

Unlike the advertisement they had very little parking. Difficult and slow check in — 40 minutes — and I got the wrong room, they had to change me but only after I complained. Great view from the Superior room and great location, but false advertising on the parking, spotty service, and the rooms were “updated” maybe 15-20 years ago. Still I might stay there again, there is 10 euro parking a 5-min walk away.

We stayed at the Principe Paz during our visit to Tenerife. The location is the best; across the street from a park and cafe.The churro shop was great, we had churros every morning. The only 'strange' thing was that the lobby was surrounded by a Baby Gap store.

It was rather difficult to find the hotel because it is in a building with a massive Benetton store. The reception area is in the back of the area. But, it’s location for the purpose of sightseeing, shopping and restaurants could not be better. Really amazing location so the hassle of finding I can be forgiven. The hotel is outstanding in its cleanliness. Our room was an interesting configuration. The door led into a small hallway, left was the very small bedroom, and straight in was a really nice sized bathroom. Overall, definitely recommend this hotel. Good wifi.

Everything was OK with this place. Nice and clean. We were on the 7th floor but it was still pretty noisy. Admittedly we stayed at the tail end of a festival. The park it overlooks is a rather grimy affair. No hotel guide in the room. Sat tv didn't pick up many channels. (No BBC World) Breakfast a bit tired looking. Fruit was mostly tinned. Overall OK.

I stayed for a week in the Principe Paz. The location is excellent, on a lovely square near the centre of the old town of Santa Cruz. Five minutes walk from Plaza Espana; 15 mins from the bus station. Plenty of nice bars and cafes in the surrounding streets.
The room was fine, clean and well maintained; the bed was comfortable. It was a bit dark as on the side facing a large building.
I didn't have the breakfast so can't comment. I did eat dinner once and it was ok, reasonably priced if a bit ordinary.
The staff were pleasant and friendly.

Horrible hotel. Terrible service. Disgusting staff. Stay away.
Stay in a hotel outside of town with parking, if you have a car. Parking nearby is impossible.
Had to go up to the room 4 times before we actually got in. 2nd time walked in on a couple who \"switched rooms\" (so it was their fault that we walked in on them). Housekeeping was poor and shampoo and soap were not replenished during our 3 day stay. Worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

Perfect town centre location with no traffic, although only a few steps away from taxi ranks. Good food, helpful staff, comfortable bed, large bathroom, spacious room. Decor in room is a bit bland but elsewhere retains some old world character. No discount for single use made it a bit pricey. Would definitely come again.

Stayed here many times always use this hotel perfect for shopping. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the area. The beds are comfortable and we had a park view which is excellent for the view of the Xmas lights. Would recommend this hotel good value for money. Definitely stay again.

Great location in the heart of the city on one of the walking streets. The only drawback is parking, if you are driving, you have to find a parking garage nearby and then walk over to the hotel. We paid 15 euros for 1-night parking in a garage a couple blocks away.

In a pedestrian zone overlooking a park this relatively small hotel has few facilities, but why spend time in a hotel when the whole city centre is just a few steps away? The staff were lovely, the continental breakfast nice, but the cooked breakfast was only bacon and eggs. We used it as a base to go exploring and were very happy with it.

Overall, it was a good place, good location. When I asked if there were any available excursions, was told that it was basically a business hotel. However, service was friendly and room was clean. Not a big variety of English television channels, none for news. Price was good.

Fantastic location, good breakfast

The hotel is clean and comfortable; my husband and I were travelling with our 4 year old and 7 year old and they gave us 2 intercommunicating double rooms, which was a very generous space to spend our 7 night holiday. The breakfasts are good (cheese, tortilla, cold meats, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, toast), but did not change at all during our stay, which would have been nice. The location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic - facing a small park, 3 minutes from Calle Castillo the shopping drag, 3 minutes from Plaza Espana. The only thing I would change is our room faced an internal airwell - not a very exciting view. If we come back we will stay at the same hotel and we will request a front facing room.

We were given an inside room which was small and dark although I had booked a park view. As this booking was moved from before Christmas it must have been overlooked. No exchange available so this spoilt our stay a little. The room was clean as are all the others. We had a meal on our first night which was good value at 12 euros pp for a 3 courses. Good location right in the old part of town.

In an ideal position in the centre of the city, close to the main shopping street and 15 minute walk to the port and main bus and tram station. On a traffic-free street facing a lovely shady square. Lots of bars and restaurants close by.

We used it to break our journey between Puerto de la Cruz and the airport. Also ideal for any events such as football or concerts.

Buffet style breakfast with plenty of choice. Very good value for money.

Grateful to the staff

The staff were really helpful. 5 of us with 3 different bookings arrived at 9 00 a.m. on the day of arrival. The receptionist immediately checked the available rooms and managed to accommodate all us straight away without any extra charge. It was wonderful to have access to a room so early.

My room was dark as it faces into the internal courtyard but as I was only in the room briefly it didn't matter to me

I was pleased with the room which I thought was good for a 3 star hotel. Towels were clean but worn and would compromise the star rating

The really star quality however is the staff. All friendly and efficient.

The hotel is located in the centre of Santa Cruz and within walking distance of most of the attractions. As Santa Cruz is a small city, it is quite easy to walk from the hotel to the bus station etc.

The hotel itself is located on a plaza in the city centre. Check in was fast and our room had a great view of the city.

The room was extremely clean and convienient with a view of the ocean. We got a great nights sleep, and coukd not hear any of the city traffic.

Breakfast cost a litte more, but is worth it.

We spent 16 nights at this hotel for our holiday. The hotel staff were very attentive and helpful- reception, restaurant staff, room cleaning. We were half board and enjoyed the dining when (on most days) it was the meal of the day- buffet was less impresasive. Limited choice (two of each course) but good ingredients prepared to restaurant standards; well presented with waiter service. We stayed half board but meal was also available for 12 Euros including wine. Good base for enjoying arts- we went to Jesus Christ Superstar in the Auditorio, and Swan Lake by the Moscow Ballet at La Laguna. It was good to pay the extra for the superior room which had a seating area- I had the impression that other rooms were a bit small. There is a frequent bus service (314) 2 mins walk- 75 cents to bus staion. Tram about 6/7 minutes walk to either bus station or Laguna. Las Terisitas beach is lovely- get 310 from bus station. Park opposite had brass band concerts on both Sundays at noon. Main memory is the personal service of the hotel.

Stayed on the 6th floor with a view over the plaza and down to the sea. Stunning views, particularly at sunrise (though the curtains were a little thin). Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent.

Clean hotel in a good area

The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was beautiful and the hotel itself was located close to nice restaurants, a small park and bus stations. The weather was horrible where we were and we couldn't do much because of the rain but for 9 euros we could take a 1.5 hour bus to the south of the island where there were beautiful beaches and a lot more to do.

Breakfast was not included. It was a standard buffet, nothing special and they charge 7 euros a person. Instead, we went to local grocery stores and bakeries for fresh fruit and bread every morning.

Great start to my Tenerife holiday

Very nice stay at the Hotel Principe Paz, good location; in the centre of the things - opposite a square that social events are held. There was a wine festival the evening I arrived, a very pleasant few hours sampling the local wines, which are excellent.
Very good and ample breakfast. The room was comfortable with a good bathroom.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay there again.

Nice Hotel right in the centre of Santa Cruz

We booked a week to coincide with Carnaval and it was the loudest and most colourful party ever. Highly recommended - join in and be astonished, but you won't get any sleep. On other days we really enjoyed exploring this very Spanish (not touristy) city as well as La Laguna (World Heritage Site) and other places nearby, very easily reached by public transport. We spent much of our time eating and drinking and strolling around looking at the sights.

Hotel very nice and clean, well presented. All staff extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel was however very basic, no English tv, tv very old fashioned. So not really ideal if going with a family or young children who need preoccupying in the room after a day out. Nethertheless I would still recommend this hotel to others :-).

Went to Santa Cruz for Carnival and pleased to find that Hotel Principe Paz was in an excellent location. The Carnival was right on our doorstep. Hotel comfortable and clean and the staff were friendly. Not a hotel if you want to sleep as people returning from Carnival up to 5am and full of the joy of Carnival. Would stay there again for Carnival time.

Very nice and affordable, great location, super clean, great service at the front desk and helpful information about the city, etc. The only thing I would change is that the mattress could be a bit better. it wasn't uncomfortable - just a tiny bit saggy and not as plush/pillowtop-like as I prefer. We had a balcony room on the 6th floor, but no street noise. Very comfy and quiet room.

Best Location in Santa Cruz

In my opinion, best location for a stay in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, across from Plaza Principe and 200 meters to a beautiful park. Nice shopping area all around. Hotel staff was very nice and efficient. Two blocks to new Tramvia, which goes anywhere for 1.35€.

Los empleados y la zona son las cosas mejores de este hotel - fantásticas! Pero hay tanto ruido de las duchas y inodoros de otras habitaciones (otro huespéd se levantó cada día a las seis y me despertó). Las puertas están de madera y hacen tanto ruido cuando alguien las cierre de un golpe, que es necesario porque son difíciles de cerrar. Es una lástima
