Lovely hotel with amazing buffet breakfast. Parking available with assigned spot in garage for 10€/day. (Street parking available for free… if you can find it.) On site restaurant Cayote is ok, winding there for dinner one night after original plans fell through. It’s well reviewed and prices reasonable, but food a bit bland. Despite being Saturday night, few tables in use.

Great location, across from the main park and truly a 4 star hotel (we had some bad experiences in Gran Canaria with a so called
4star). We had a room in the 1st floor with exit to an interior patio with greenery and sitting sofas, lovely! Great staff too! Would stay here again!

The room was noisy due to the bins being emptied late at night - we asked to be moved and we were only moved one floor up in the same position so still had the noise from the bins. The waiting staff in the bar where not very good either - they did not seem to understand what was being asked of them.

This was a very nice hotel. Our room was beautiful and clean exactly what we expected except maybe a little bit small. We had dinner in the area. It was great we just walked. We walked to the green space in the morning that it’s right next to super beautiful and more delicious lunch there Italian place near there was wonderful.

The staff was really helpful and the hotel itself was nice. We had an issue with our room and they upgraded us to a nicer room. The breakfast buffet was normal for a hotel soggy bacon and sloppy scrambled eggs. I would stay away from their onsite restaurant Cayote. First they didn't have an basic item on the menu, then they screwed up the order and forgot to bring cutlery. It was not a very good experience.

We enjoyed Medano as a location to start the holiday - buzzy little town which had a festival while we were there. The hotel was right in the heart of it, and we loved getting in to the sea from the sun deck. Finally found a parking spot quiet a few blocks away and had to push the case through the busy pedestrian areas. Our triple sea view room was looking back over to the harbour, and was nice.

Our stay as a couple was excellent. There were only a couple of minor things that we found not good was that there were no where reachable to hang your bath towels, there was no soap dish in the bathroom and also there were no places to hang up dresses and longer items of clothing. Other than those few things everything was fantastic - 100%. The food was superb. We definitely would recommend this hotel and we would stay here again.

The only issues I had were that there was a malfunctioning toilet flush, which meant I had to turn it off manually. Also the room was humid pand the air-conditioning did not seem to work. But opening the window helped a lot.

Unfortunately the photos of the room we ordered did not match the reality. There are different types of the “garden view” room, and the ones you see on the pictures are just 2 out of 8. The rooms are quite dated. We had to change our room because the aircon broke down. The breakfast was very mediocre. The only outstanding facility is the pool and the gym on the roof top. It is amazing.

Great location & staff, clean but a bit tired.

Great location and friendly service. However, the sink in our room was chipped and the wooden counter was water-damaged. The shower temperature fluctuated rapidly from cool to scalding. The jacuzzi looked great but was too cold to be comfy and the gym was poorly equipped with machines (tho good selection of free weights etc) and the stepper did not work.

Excellent location, very friendly and welcoming staff.
Parking was not easy to find on the street, or book with the hotel. They have a few places in their own car park. We used the underground car park just down the road. €12/day but easy to find and there was always a place.
Lots of restaurants and bars nearby.

Property was difficult to find, set back off the street and not well marked. I chose this hotel because it advertised parking. I had to park in a taxi stand and run in to ask only to be told sorry our parking is full, good luck finding something on the street. After 45 mins of driving around and 25 mins of walking and dragging my bag to the hotel (pregnant by the way), there was no care given by the front desk for my troubles. Just a shrug of the shoulder. I ate dinner in the Cayote restaurant. I would not eat there again but will leave that review separate. Room was average, pillows need replacing. The park just in front of the hotel was beautiful. Overall would not choose to stay here again because all of the inconveniences mentioned above and indifferent and unhelpful attitude from the front desk.

Two stays pre and post cruise.

The hotel is well maintained and we enjoyed our room with a view of the beautiful park. It’s also in a great position close to the city centre and the park. However it’s a bit of a maze with the way rooms are laid out.

The pool area on the roof is also a lovely spot.

The junior reception staff were lovely however the supervisor was very unfriendly and unhelpful.

On our first visit for one night our room was not ready and also the air con didn’t work very well. As it was warm outside this was uncomfortable. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast.

On our second visit things unraveled a little. There was a distinct aroma of pot being smoked in certain areas. In addition the hot breakfast of scrambled eggs bacon etc was stone cold both times. The most annoying aspect was the charge for pool towels. You had to pay a 10 euro cash deposit per towel…not allowed to put it on card. Having wasted time at reception to get towels and paid the cash they advised they had run out and we had to wait while they got some more. Totally unacceptable.

In summary unfortunately the issues with the towels, breakfast, surly supervisor and air con would mean that we would not stay here again.

They give us a room that was not as seen online. They also give us a room that was 2 single beds even though they asked whether 2 singles or a double. Room was small and nothing like the photos.

Also room was not ready even after they told us to return at 2pm, which we believe is when they just give us any old room.

Location of the hotel is not great, not close to any bars etc.

We ended up checking out a day earlier and finding another hotel to stay in.

Pool area was very nice however very quiet and often overcrowded.

Great stay. Centrally located, and across the street from a beautiful park. Rooftop fitness centre was beautiful as well. Pool was closed during our stay which was disappointing, but understandable. My only complaint is that the beds were miserably uncomfortable and they are a bit stingy with the pillows (but were happy to provide more upon request). Overall a lovely hotel that I would stay at again.

Your first impression of a new local can colour your entire visit. When no shuttle arrives that can be disappointing, when the bathroom isn’t clean even greater grief and when the management doesn’t seem to care or empathize sometimes you just can’t get away fast enough. Such is a case with this accommodations which seems to forget whom their customer is.

Specifically booked this hotel as we thought it would be nice to relax in the hot tub after a long trip here. Arrived at the hotel at 7.55pm, staff told us they shut the tub at 8pm. No exceptions, unwilling to even allow us 15 mins. Opening times are not made clear on their website. Decided to have a nice relaxing shower instead. Was just about to get out of the shower after about 5 mins of cold water. It finally warmed up. Would not recommend this hotel. Staff were not friendly or accomodating

The good part - location across the beautiful park, rooftop gym was great as is the pool area next to it with amazing view . The room was clean and comfortable . The bad part- my room was on the fourth floor and it was super noisy . I think the maintenance room is on 5th , i could hear the machines . Also my room(cheapest) had a view into a literal shaft , meaning no view , with A/C units on the walls buzzing . Would not book again .

Nicely decorated room with excellent view of the park and sizeable balcony. Great rooftop terrace, jacuzzi and workout area. Air conditioner old, loud and not so efficient, cannot be used. Overall satisfied, but wouldn't stay there again in a very warm month of the year.

We stayed 2 nights for the Santa Cruz carnival in February 2020. Quiet location next to beautiful park - Parque Garcia Sanabria. Hotel generally good. A bit tired in places and haphazard construction. Small pool on roof with great views & sun deck. Breakfast buffet very plentiful and wide selection. Good coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Overall good value. 20 minutes walk to Plaza de España.

Hotel is in a good location walking distance to the city Center with a nice rooftop with pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and outdoor gym. A few cons: curtains are not blackout curtains so hard to sleep-in, fridge didn’t work (switched rooms and it didn’t work in either, it barely chilled water), and I could hear everything from the rooms around me like people shaving, watching tv, talking. Staff was friendly.

The public areas are lovely but he rooms are tiny.n we had to move rooms due to a strong small of cleaning materials and a lack of ventilation in the first, internal facing room. The room we moved to was clean, had a great bathroom but was even smaller! If arriving by car to use the car park, make sure you are driving a small one.

The hotel was in a very good location. We did not think much of the roof pool or the Gym that vibrated in our room when ever the running machine was used. I also found no hooks in the bathroom to hang anything and their was no lower shelf space to put any clothes but aside from these observations it was a convenient stay.

We have stayed in this hotel before and we weren’t let down by the hospitality of the staff. The room was impeccably clean and even my pyjamas where layed our for me. The parking is available but tight spaces.Ideal location a lovely walking distance to the centre of the city. Outside this hotel there is a breath taking park that is very tranquil and is like you are going into a magical place. The rooftop pool is gorgeous. The receptionist remembered us from last year which is pleasing they were all so lovely,nothing is ever any trouble. Can’t wait to go again next year!

Reasonable hotel for a Santa Cruz trip.

The hotel is very handy for most things and parking cheaper than competitors. However don't let them know you have a small car or they will give you the tightest space you could ever imagine. The rooms were comfortable. We went to use to top deck swimming pool but it was cool and the jaccuzi jets weren't working. Admittedly it was cold up there so we did not chase it.

The hotel is located in a great location right next to the park. The staff is friendly and helpful and know the city pretty well. The lobby is modern, and there is on site parking (though its paid). The room is average in size, though the bathrooms are pretty spacious. The closets are a bit outdated. The view out of the room wasn't very pleasant.

The room in hothel made me feel like I was in 2star hothel. Wardrobe doors were broken and it was not possible to open them. It has got no shelfs just few hangers. Bathroom looked tired and so did towels. There was no water pressure especially cold water. Tried to compensate it with hot water and have boiling shower yet was weak pressure. TV channels only in Spanish Restaurant and lobby is ok. stuff were polite and helpful.

Great choice next to a beautiful park

A 15-20 minute walk to the main part of town but located next to a beautiful park, which makes it worthwhile being a little further form town. The roof top pool and terrace is a delight and hearing only the birds singing makes it a really relaxing space.

The hotel was clean and staff were super helpful!

Good centrally located hotel with parking

Hotel is well located in the city centre next to a very pleasant park. The hotel offers car parking at 6 euros per day which is very reasonable but the underground car park is not for the faint hearted or inexperienced driver.

Our room was a good size but quite dark with the window looking on to an small inner courtyard (not decorative).

There is a good roof terrace with a pool providing good views over Santa Cruz this area is well equipped with sun beds and chairs including sofas.

Breakfast offers a good range of both continental and cooked items and dinner was very tasty although the menu is fairly small.

Stayed there before and location is good .
Room was very small and worse we could hear every noise from adjacent room ..thankfully only telephone calls and toiletting .
The first night we stayed in the hotel for dinner ...The service was good ...the food good and we decided to return the next day .We entered the restaurant and there were a large number of \"reserved \"tables ..but as there had been the previous night and they were never occupied and we were placed in a nice window table we assumed that we might be able to have a nice table again .
We were directed to a table lined up against a wall with other couples tables ...and when we asked to be seated elsewhere we were ...but with a scowl and bad grace ...The reserved tables again were not occupied ...The service after that wasn't good .our choice of wine was not available ...but the meal was good and exceptional value for money .
It was a special wedding anniversary for us ...and we did have a good time but could have been so much better .
breakfast was not great...hot breakfast was tepid...bacon was fried fat ....but ok not for us but the fruit salad was banana mush ... and nothing more .The second day the fresh fruit was better .

Nice elegant hotel in the middle of Santa Cruz. Staff were friendly. The dinner was excellent and very reasonable in cost. The bedroom was comfortable, but the AC would not go down to a reasonable temperature at all. It was very hot in the there even at the end of October in rainy times.
The parking lot is WAY too small. I wouldn't park in there. Having tried to navigate the way too tight spacing in there, I ripped up the side of my rental car - luckily it is covered.

Shabby rooms of a 2 star standard

We stayed at The Taburiente on 11th March for one evening, we were very disappointed with our room, it was nothing like the pictures they advertise on the internet. Our room number was 217, it had old fashioned artexed walls which was in extremely shabby condition. The view from our window was a brick wall with the old paint hanging off. The small uncomfortable double wall moved away from the wall every time we turned over in bed, and the light in the centre of the ceiling had a old fan attached to it. I think that it is so unfair that they advertise different room than they give you, we booked this hotel for a special occasion and was very upset. we complained but was told next time we visit they will try to give up a better room! This was more like a cheap 2 star hotel room than a 4 star as advertised.

All good stay, but still not deserving a 4th star

A confortable hotel, with a good breakfast service, deserving IMO 3.5 stars. It is a refurbished 3-star property now given a 4th star but not fully deserved: small room space, view to the back street and noise from aircon machines (room #105), weird ceiling on the bathroom and the stairs area in the back make this convenient hotel not deserving that 4th star. Nicely located, not far from Santa Cruz´s city centre, perfect when stopping over to continue visiting the island and drive out of the city quickly.

Firstly hard to find unless have sat nav, parking in underneath car park not for the faint hearted , outdoor pool only on roof , surrounding area rundown other than park. Best for single night on business not recommended for holidays, staff very helpful, restaurant ok but not for every night, breakfast buffet good .

Well located hotel next to the best park in Santa Cruz, it is within easy walking distance of good restaurants and the main shopping streets. Staff very pleasant and helpful, bar food option is a good alternative to the main hotel restaurant. Rooftop pool, jacuzzi and sunbathing area are not usually crowded and there are great views from this rooftop. Rooms are clean and comfortable, though the window on mine only had views on a small inner courtyard.

Lovely quirky hotel , great location fantastic park. Roof top jacuzzi fantastic views . Beds hard and a room kettle would have been a nice added touch. Overall enjoyed our stay and would definitely return . Excellent price

Well appointed hotel next to a lovely park

This hotel is pleasant room was clean and tidy bed comfortable. Restaurant facilities good. Only downside was the one way system to get there, wouldn't have been a problem but we didn't know and arrived late and tired. The adjacent park is absolutely lovely great to walk /jog around, we liked the rooftop pool as well but it wasn't always warm enough to enjoy it.

Well located for everything

Well located hotel on the edge of the Park Garcia Sanabria. There is a good view from the rooftop terrace where there are comfy loungers by a small swimming pool. Although there is a car park beneath the hotel, the spaces are tight and the access ramp steep. The roads around are narrow with cars parked on both sides. A car is not needed in Santa Cruz as most sights, shops and restaurants are within walking distance. The park is on the hop on, hop off bus route and other buses and trams are easy to use and taxis readily available.
