The layout of the resort is beautiful and the staff are very friendly and accommodating.The view from myroom was stunning
The food at the restaurant is great but a very limited selection. Without a car it is a bit difficult to get around and explore. Also the room set up was a little awkward with no bed lamps only bright overhead lights controlled by a switch at the door across the room. The bed was ok but the pillows were terrible. They changed them out for softer ones on request.
Overall there was a lot to like about the resort especially if you have a car

A cool unique resort with well maintained landscaping. Staff were friendly, and security was attentitive.
Room was extremely noisy as walls were very thin. Property has a school on it which was very loud with children in the morning.
Please please please install smoke alarms/detectors in rooms.

Booked 2 superior rooms for 3 pax under same reservation reference no. but given only 1 room upon check-in.

After further check with the reception, the rooms were upgraded to 4 pax capacity without extra charge.

Room TVs are not functioning. Not given aircon remote control, unable to adjust the temperature. Rooms too cold at night due to wet weather.

Anyway, the rooms and washrooms are very spacious and clean. Especially the gardens, plants are very beautiful. Gardeners' hardwork is highly commended.

Would be great if breakfast is included.

Thanks to the reception staff presenting birthday song to the birthday guest.

This hotel is perfect for couples getaway, too bad, I came with my family and it is not suitable for older folks nor young toddlers. There are many uneven pavements and stairs all around the place, not to mention the floor everywhere is wet, posing a high risk for the elderly and kids alike.

Before Biru Biru cafe was opened, it was much more serene and lovely, now, the tourists are everywhere. Some of them even walked into our Villa room since they are not locked on the outside. Futhermore, there is no longer beach area for us to walk around and enjoying the sea... thanks to the cafe being built there.

I do appreciate the staff for letting us checking in early, so that my parents could get some rest.

Too bad this hotel does not provide breakfast so that's a minus for them. Had to order our own food.

All in all, it was not too bad, but not a place I'd bring my family back again.

Really enjoyed our stay here! It’s a beautiful and unique place but I feel it could do with some updating, especially decor in our premier suite, it was looking a bit tired but we enjoyed it all the same. The view was great as it’s easy to get buses into either Bath Ferringhi or Tanjong Bunga where there are restaurants and bars. Bear in mind the restaurant and school on site can be busy (esp weekends for the restaurant) so it’s not always quiet and peaceful. Definitely worth a visit for at least 2 or 3 nights (we stayed 4) loved the refillable water cooler. Need to stop using small plastics for
Toiletries though. Overall a great stay though.

This was a dissapointing \"resourt.\" To call it a resourt is inaccurate because there is nothing resourt like about this place. The two pools don't have any lounging chairs. All the green grass is fake. And the rooms are very uncomfortable. Will not be booking this place again.

Lost Paradise is a great resort. The grounds are lovely with lots of different garden and pool areas to relax at the property. Staff is exceptionally nice and helpful and always available. This location is a bit isolated without a car, but there are bus stops near the hotel (grab is hit or miss for this area). The room was clean and spacious with a balcony. My only issue was the WiFi did not work in the room for the second week of my stay. The staff was helpful in trying out other networks, but none worked. It still worked in public areas so only a slight inconvenience. Overall a great property and stay:)

Room allocated was a room with renovation works done outside and dining tables just in front of the door. And one could hear commotions going on by virtue of the room being adjacent to the lobby and main dining area. Staff was unhelpful and uptight. The rest of the resort, however, was colourful, bright and had positive vibes about it. Just our luck, I guess.

Great resort for relaxing

The location and the environment is so relaxing. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good. My 3yo son really enjoy the volcanic rock pool. Hence, we did extend our stay on the following day because we feel so happy staying in this resort. Suggestion for the resort management, please put a small towel below the sink in the toilet as it was slippery. My son was fell in the bathroom and his head hit the corner of the marble wall near the toilet door, causing his head to hurt and bleed. Luckily we go to clinic and doctor just glued the cut instead of stitching.

Lovely boutique hotel but needs improvement.

Requested for Melati Room on 1st floor for 3 pax, but request was unfulfilled despite booking well in advance. Was initially given the room under Melati which was dark and way too small for 3 pax. Was very disappointed and unhappy. The only other room available required a RM100 add-on with no breakfast....since we had limited choice, we paid the extra. Also, the new room for which we paid the upgrade had a bunch of dirty, used towels left by previous guests inside the cupboard....which was an unpleasant discovery upon checking in. Room's bathroom water pressure was inadequate. The main swimming pool's water was murky. Reception staff needs extra training with regards to managing client expectations, housekeeping needs to be extra thorough when getting rooms ready for new guests. Maintenance could do better too.

Our family of 2 adults & an eleven year old had a great 6 day stay here. On arrival, we were immediately upgraded to a Seaview room. Breakfast was great. Every morning there was a variety of local dishes as well as Western food. Staff were very helpful & hospitable.

There are two infinity pools. We always had one to ourselves. It was also very easy & cheap to catch Grab taxis to get around the island. The thing that we most appreciated about the hotel was that profits go into maintaining a school for children that are disadvantaged. We hope to come back!

i had 4 night reservation and arrived late evening. Property keeper escorted me to the room. There was a hot water running and overflowing bathtub and sink. I requested another room with no success.
My room had a door leading to the parking lot with cars standing 2-3 yards from the door. Unforgettable view. Obviously all car-related noises were heard in the evening and early morning.
Keep in mind that it is NO GO place if you dont have a car. There is no restaurant on the property. 7/11 and other markets can be reached with a taxi only, Nothing within walking distance. They said they have a driver who charges 10 currency units for short rides in the daytime and 20 in the night time.
Water in the pool was milky. Beach line is very very small and short.
Room looks very outdated. Fabric on the ceiling. Dirty sofa with stains.Very old and dirty floor mats. Couple of rustic bali-style decoration pieces can not improve overall impression.
I had to leave the property after overnight stay and lost my money. I booked another place - Jazz hotel which was $15 more expensive but is a great and clean place to stay.
I have to mention that i am not picky person but Lost paradise hotel supposed to be entirely lost from booking sites.
MY ADVICE - YOU CAN FIND MUCH MUCH BETTER PLACE AT THE SAME PRICE - DONT GO THERE

This was a real gem! A mix of colours and styles old and new but it all works so well. It’s right on the water front and my room was practically in the ocean! It was quiet and very peaceful and I enjoyed the time by the pool looking at the ocean. The breakfast was nice with a reasonable selection. The internet was very good. But the outstanding thing about here for me was the staff and how attentive and friendly they were especially the delightful Mary she was a star!
Perhaps the only down side was it was away from everything a bit so you needed a cab or bus to get too places but it was only 5 minutes in most instances.

This resort absolutely beautiful with the uniqueness of abstract and the view of sea too. But dont think its don't have weakness. The dirty pool make me not interested to swim and time to use the pool to short until 8.00 p.m. , secondly the view from my balcony is not nice like i want. Got offer for sea view but what i got is tree view. Please cut the trenches, that blocking my sea view. I dont know what another people feeling about this resort but for me it giving me some memories but give me some annoyed thing too.

Staff are really friendly. Since our room are away from the lobby, the staff hitched us to our room. We are impressed of our room sea view. There is a recreation yard outside our room where we could chill and enjoy the sea breeze. The room is huge. The location is away from most eateries but it is a good place if you want to enjoy peace and quiet.

We found lost paradise...

We enjoyed our stay into that nice hotel located between Georges Town and Ferringhi. Nice and pleasant hotel, with beach side and lovely equipped with local décoration and original furniture. The very long swimming pool allows intensive swimming. On the top of the hotel, this place is sublimated by the staff, available at any time to bring you the best support and advice with Marie driving the team. To be mentioned, a good breakfast to start the day. After a few days you have the feeling to be at home. After numerous visits you can do around, you will enjoy coming back at that place at the end of the day. This hotel is quite recent and not yet wellknown ( I am afraid I am working for his reputation...) it makes it even more delighting. For your visits around, ask for Bonnie, she knows the island like anybody else... It even looks all people living there know her ! Her boldness and her passion for this island, will drive you on unbelievable places that you won't forget, for sure ! We loved all our experiences with her and this hotel.

great experience staying in here for 3 nights. nice view and cute infinity pool although I only get to swim in it on Sunday (came back to KL on Monday morning) coz I was mostly outside during in Penang. breakfast was delicious! on the second day breakfast, I get to eat very tasty Rendang Minang. Couldn't stop eating it!! Kudos to the cook. Overall rate i give it 5/5! definitely will come back here again.

Unusual, quaint & rustic.

A brilliant place to stay in Penang if you like something different. It ticked all the boxes for me. Buildings are wooden structures with ornate doors & furnishings. artifacts from various countries and bright multi- patterned tiling which lends to its charm. Our accomadation facres a lily pond. There are 3 adequate sized swimming pools, gardens and a lovely sea view with a narrow strip of beach at low tide

On line pictures look attractive. But what face to face are old furniture, dirty beddings, crawling ants, small pool, far from tourist interests sites. Although the shower had powerful water spray, this is a hotel I wanted to change once entering the room. I will never think of this hotel any more!

A lovely hotel with terrific staff

Had a great time, lovely room with big balcony looking at the ocean. Breakfast was very tasty and interesting with lots of local dishes. It is a distance from any cafe or restaurants, so have to get a taxi or uber drive to get to places.

We cannot praise Lost Paradise enough! We absolutely loved our stay here: the accommodation and friendly, helpful, welcoming staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in various locations throughout Malaysia and Singapore and Lost Paradise was definitely our highlight. As a family of four with a 9 and 5 years old, we received a friendly welcome and instantly felt relaxed. Our room was in the beautiful Balinese style, spacious and comfortable. Breakfasts were plentiful, varied, tasty and relaxed. The pool was great for us and our kids and a good place to socialise with other guests whilst admiring the gardens and seaview. The staff all seem to be an extended part of the owner, Dr Chew Yu Gee's family/friends and it appears that the loyalty and care inspired here provides the philosophy with which guests are treated. We certainly felt like royalty!! Following our first night we were upgraded to the Royal Suite (enormous, luxurious and incredible views) for the next 3 nights after our air conditioning sprung a leak in our family room (which they instantly fixed) but still insisted on moving us anyway. We mainly dealt with Mary who was always smiling, helpful and gentle - the children absolutely loved her. Even if we hadn't been upgraded, I have no doubt we would still be giving a glowing report. It was hard to leave Lost Paradise and it will be even harder to beat the experience we had here.

The hotel is a beautiful Balinese style, the room was lovely and the staff extremely friendly. Hosts made us feel very welcome, there are two infinity pools which Over look the beach, beach can only be entered on low tide. Hotel is not in the middle of the busy section of batta finghi, which made for a nice quiet stay.

Lovely grounds, room spacious and clean, but we did have numerous large cockroaches in the bathroom!!
Pool is well maintained. Great location right beside a beach. Restaurants are quite a distance away but there is a bus stop nearby. Breakfast charge of 20 r is expensive for a plain meal. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Our room was near the pool and we found family groups very noisy with young children screaming on top of their voices. We enjoyed our stay at the Lost Paradise and would recommend it to friends.

Beautiful place to stay

A very beautiful room in the Balinese style with access to amazing gardens throughout the resort. The hotel also houses a school for the special needs kids in the area but did not cause any disturbance to my stay. The pool area is very beautiful and most welcoming after a day exploring under the Penang sun.
The hotel is not perfect but serves to fund the school and Dr Chew, the owner is one of the most amazing humble person I have had the pleasure to meet. I would stay again without hesitation.

Our family of 6 adults occupied 3 seaview suites. All were large, clean and nicely furnished. A picturesque resort in Balinese style with the infinity pool, as well as our rooms, being very close to the waterfront. A few minutes drive took us to the shops, bars, restaurants and night markets of Batu Feringghi. Breakfast was very adequate. All in all, Lost Paradise Resort is a very nice place to stay and I will go there again.

Nice and comfy place. A lot of flowers, water features, etc. Chinese and Malaysian style food for breakfast. property is popular with Malaysians. Hotel is right on the beach, narrow strip of sand. Nobody swims in the sea, all in the pool, so you have to pick up a right time for your laps (when kids and mamas are not around). Resident monkeys on the property! Hotel is a bit far from Penang. There is a city bus from airport which runs just past the property. Ask the driver to drop you off.

Although a local bus was up the street the hotel gave very little. Pool area is lovely but facilities in the room were disappointing. Had to constantly ask for more coffee. Shower was cold. Breakfast was not included. There was no provision for room service if needed or telephone to call front desk. Needed to walk to get food or catch local bus. School on the property so the small pool was used by children during the day. Cheaper hotels closer to night markets and restaurants. No ability to walk long the coast line from this location only on a busy winding street on the road with the traffic.

The place logistic is good but 1st impression on the reception area is quite poor eventhough the staff is nice. The area is full of lanskap but poor in management i.e not really clean. A Secluded Paradise

We spent two weeks at The Lost Paradise Resort and had a wonderful relaxing time.
This is a small private hotel with rooms ranging from basic but very comfortable to spectacular and luxurious. The pool area is very quiet most of the time with only a few people swimming at the start and end of the day. The setting is lovely with pleasant gardens and view. There is no beach unless the tide is right out, but sitting by the beautiful infinity pool, looking out to sea and surrounded by amazing Balinese wood carvings you don’t really miss it.
The boutique hotel was built to fund the school, special needs facilities and children's clinic/cottage hospital on site, all of which are completely unobtrusive. This aspect gives the place a real family atmosphere and makes you feel like you are part of a very small and warm community. This is helped by the friendliness and hospitality of the small team who run the place with such quiet efficiency.
A measure of how quiet and secluded it feels is the wildlife in evidence, we saw Kingfishers, sea otters, a sea eagle and monitor lizards – all from our sunbed! Difficult to believe when you see the development, hustle and bustle across the rest of Penang.
A couple of things to be aware of:
There is no bar, but we stocked up at Tesco and filled our room fridge.
There are no local amenities within walking distance, but taxis are reasonable and there is a very regular bus service from a stop very close by 28p to the night market in Batu Ferringhi!

Very good for photography!

Pros:Close to d beach but not for swimming.Nice view and location.Great for photography.Nice swimming pool.
Cons: bathroom a bit smelly as no air ventilation.Hope reception is more organized and systematic.

The hotel staff are excellent from reception through to leaving. The hotel and rooms are unique with a feel of calm enabling relaxation and peace. The breakfast are varied and plentiful. The only downside was that the hotel is a little remote but the buses are frequent and cheap. Great shirt stay of three nights.

Not a Paradise you want to visit

NOT so much of a paradise. The reception is deserted most of the time. You are living with LOCALS who have houses on the floor below. Dirty washrooms. Pillows from stone age made of stone. good for defending yourself rather then sleeping. Just a horrible hotel. We just walked away from the hotel after staying one night & paid for 3 nights. .

Lovely secluded getaway

If you are looking to get away from the busyness of Georgetown and the touristy of Batu Feringghi, you might want to consider this resort. Loved discovering this hidden gem.Our room was upgraded. One can see the amount of work that went into the room as well as the landscape around it. Resort grounds are well kept. If you want food you can walk to the nearby bus station and there are a few stalls that sell basic food like Asam Laksa and Nasi Goreng. However, they are not open in the early morning.

Two grouses of the resort that I have though would be there is no rubbish bin in the bathroom and there is very limited TV channels (but hey, you're on vacation) however they were small issues.

Getting around is rather easy from here as there is a bus stop about 3 minutes from the resort that heads to town or Batu Feringghi. Alternatively, there's always Grab Taxi and Uber.

this hotel is very unique.

very fast check in. i filled the form then they showed me my room. they upgraded my room with no cost from 3 persons to 4 persons room. so i get 1 queen bed and 2 single bed. the female staff bring us to the room and showed the room facilities. they have many rooms. each rooms are unique and they have several chalet room types. these chalets can accommadate for 11-12 person.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff

Lost Paradise resort is a beautiful hotel situated close to Batu Ferringhi. Our balcony looked straight out onto the ocean. The resort is run by Dr Chew and his family who are extremely welcoming and friendly. It is only 10 minutes by taxi to Batu Ferringhi or there is a bus stop just across the road from the hotel. There are 2 fantastic swimming pools at the resort and the breakfasts are wonderful, it was a delight to look forward to the different home cooked Malay food each morning. There was also eggs, toast, cereal and fruit for the kids.
