Run Down facility, very dirty bugs everywhere, managed by unprofessional and cheap management. You can’t even get a towel or soap, unfortunately, we traveled for a couple days to the island, but we end up with a very bad experience on a beautiful island.

By the beach in Penang

Had a 3 bedroom suite on the top floor with beautiful see views. Very well set out with kitchen and a spacious lounge. The is a laundry which you can purchase tokens for at reception and a store with most essentials next to reception. The location is right on the beach with a good size infinity pool and gym on the 7th floor. There are drinking and eating options all around as well as a large mall with a supermarket 10 minutes walk away. Fantastic place we couldn't fault it.

Lots of rules and add on charges, the lift takes a long time if you are on a high floor. The pool is lovely but the location is a bit far away from everywhere so be prepared to get taxis etc

This is a great place for a family to stay for a family holiday (we stayed for 3 weeks). Modern, clean and safe. Each room has own on-suite bathroom. They clean twice a week, which is great! There is a convenience shop at the bottom of the hotel, a lovely pool, a beach with beach sports (company called Seafarers - great guys and I would recommend them any day). Overall, the comfort of the hotel apartments helped make this one of our best family holidays ever. I would go back if I ever come back to Penang.

An impressive stunning Andaman 180 degree sea view for our 2 bed rooms, huge balcony seaview appartment. Clean cosy , fully equipped service appartment with cleaned crockery / cutlery / microwave / fridge. A smooth and fast check-in experienced with Front Desk as we booked paid via expediate in advance.

Tanjung Point Residence are situated 45 minutes away from Penang International Airport by cab.

Distance travel for most local places of interest for example George Town, Kimberly Street , Penang Hill are approximately 25 to 40 minutes by Grab Cab. Even we need any supper during late night Grab food are available.

A Spanish restaurant Hola Tapas Bistro by Javu are situated in Tanjung Point Residence , simple decent tapas and steaks with great attentive service are available . The News convenient shop are available too in this property.

As this property in house guests are accessible to the private beach with white sand via room cards tag at the entrance of before entering beach gate.

My family have a cosy unwind memorable experience at Tanjung Point Residence. Thank You for your fantastic Penang hospitality from 13th August to 15th August 2024 .

A lovely time at Tanjung Point!

We had a lovely time at Tanjung Point.

The apartment was exactly as advertised in the photos. We had free parking and easy access to the apartment. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The staff were very attentive and friendly. They gave us a 5-star experience.

The pool was particularly nice -- infinity pool overlooking the ocean, incredible views. The pool was very clean and it was obviously well kept.

The location was great -- lots of eateries within walking distance, 15 min drive to Georgetown, and 20 min drive to Batu Feringgi. There was a convenience store right in the apt complex so we could pick up drinks and snacks at odd hours.There was access to the beach and there was a good array of water sports offered (although I would not recommend swimming in Penang beaches).

Altogether it was a wonderful experience. Thank you Tanjung Point!

Loved the pool. The apartment was big enough. No problems at check-in. Our car was not ready during our stay there (not their fault), but it was not a very convenient location without a car. Not much within walking distance except a couple of restos, had to take the bus. Ahd the apartment was not well furnished (no plates, no ustencils, just a couple of glasses and cups).

The receptionist is not friendly during check-in and not information is given. I have to ask everything then only he will tell me. All he does is to ask me to give a deposit and hand over me the room card.

After check-in, I found out the fire alarm sensor is keeping beeping then I have to go down with all my luggage to lobby because the phone in the room it wasn't working. After that, they send someone to take it away from the fire alarm sensor. Later on, I found out the TV is not working so that I call them, they told me if I want to watch TV they need to send maintenance guy to key in some code then only I can use TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is ridiculous, Why they did not fix it before I checked in.

After the stay, I found the room is not worth the price I paid for. OVER price with poor room amenities and condition, with nothing around. Not recommended this place at all.

Location and the staff. Very helpful.

There should be a deep clean at least every month as changeover will not allow the cleaners to do a thorough clean of every corner.

The apartment floors appeared clean but when you walk on the tiles ones feet turned black especially when walking on the balcony and the outside utility area. It had not obviously cleaned between stays. The sides of kitchen cupboards where spillages has occurred had not been noticed and wiped up.

The edges of the showers could have more attention paid to it as cumulative dirt over time will lower the appeal to clients.

Cleaners should not handle Soiled wet linen with bare hands and just place them on the floor outside apartments. They should go straight into linen bins for dirty linen - our group had diarrhoea and vomiting and much of the linen was soiled yet it was handled with bare hands and placed in a pile on the floor. Those same hands will handle other apartments, door handles, lift buttons with a potential to spread the sickness.
Hope you take these comments positively. We only wanted to help improve your business standard.

I was a bit worried at first but this place out did all my expectations.
It was wonderful....the appartment was huge ...clean..an just everything was perfect.
Waking up to the scenery of the ocean an pool daily was just the cherry on the top.

I was welcomed by an Indian female staff on 26/12 at about 3pm. She was awesome and very pleasant. Explained the necessaries. How ever the female Malay staff - think she needs to have better attitude and learn how to smile. We are guest and it’s bcos of us she has a job. I witnessed how to managed a guest checking out - she was rude but guest kept quiet. However, we did ask for a towel as one of our towels had a stain - but we never got it at all.
One other thing - pls leave some guide as to how to operate your tv. Other than that - my stay was fantastic. Fantastic vow too if I may add.

Tanjung Point residences was brand new.

We booked 5 units of 3 bedroom apartments and were given them all on 2 floors next to each other. We were very happy with the accomodation. There were 5 families - 28 of us altogether.

Positives :
Beds super comfy, apartments nice and big. We loved our apartment. Bathrooms nicely designed. The master had a lovely sunken shower. Views of the ocean - magnificent.

Kitchen nice and modern.

The pool was really lovely though. The children had a gorgeous time.

We also liked the “news.com” shop downstairs. Well equipped and had really good Pau and soft serve ice cream.

Negatives :
No washing machines - laundry cost was rm20 per load of wash, rm10 per load to dry. We went to the nearby laundromat.
The lifts were super full at check in time that we waited very long (almost 30 minutes) just to get down to the ground floor to go out for lunch. Most of us decided to walk down the stairs (22floors) when lifts became too busy. Only 2 lifts. The 3rd lift was designated “staff only”

Beach looked nice, but there was a pipe running down to the beach releasing some very smelly water - and that turned us off going to the beach anymore.

Room cleaning happened once every 2 days and rubbish was a problem. We were told to put it at the lift but there it stayed till the next day.

Overall good. Except hotel should pay more attention to maintenance. Shower area clogged with water because floor trap full of hair inside. Maintenance team promptly came to fix the problem. Periodic cleaning of floor trap would be good. Floor was a little sticky but housekeeping was quick to rectify that.
Quiet area. However the lift takes a long time to come up and down. Perhaps should allow guests to use all 3 lifts instead of only 2. Then it wld be much faster. Lifts usually wet due to guests not wiping off after swimming and immediately entering the lifts. Please put up signs in all the major languages so that people can understand that they need to towel dry before entering lifts. Not everyone can understand just one language.

Great rooms with beach view and well equipped kitchen.

Lift often wet from guests using the pool which could represent a fall risk especially for elderly guests despite being frequently mopped. May be a good idea to place a heavy rug or some other means for guests to dry their feet before entering the lift.

Also good to have a hose near the gate leading to the beach so that guests can wash their feet after visiting the beach and not bring sand back to the lobby and lift.

Rooms are so so noisy, I was staying in floor 11, it felt like cars and bikes where passing right in front the door, hard to sleep. it seemed to be a water tank behind the wall, it felt like if there was a shark fight or so. This is a brand-new property and the pictures shown were exactly as expected in person. Quiet location with 5 min walk to Viva Local Food Haven hawker stand for food. Midpoint between Batu Ferrenghi and Georgetown which is why we choose this property. NOTE: Serviced apartments and not hotel if you're wanting that, but we thoroughly enjoyed the quietness, laid back approach. Beach access but we didn't go as \"at your own risk\" and we weren't sure if there were jellyfish and depth, but we did see a paddleboarder. Highly recommended!

The highlight of my vacation in Malaysia. The best hotel I stayed at. Perfectly located on the beach, beautiful views of both the apartment, and beach view from the balcony. Brand new furniture, precisely done house keeping, fresh utensils and small kitchenette available for cooking. The bathrooms are perfect, with great swimming pool facility.

A good stay in luxury

We had a great stay at this condo-hotel. Over all our stay was very nice, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and facilities were on top level. The hotel was just build recently, so everything is brand new. From great showers with hot water to not so crowded infinity pool. The only thing that we didn't like was since there are still constructions going on at the hotel, many facilities are not open. There is no shop or restaurant in the hotel, and the beach access is closed. Also, they have to do something about check in. There is only one person working there at the time, and we waited for a long time to check-in, even though there was only 2 parties in front of us.

Stayed at this hotel for just 2 nights and I have to say the hotel rooms are so beautifully finished - they are actually like how they appear in the photos!

I have a few slight criticisms, allow me to highlight the word \"slight\" - there is no hairdryer in the room, nor are there any vanity kits containing free toothbrushes etc. I also have to add that the hotel sits on a fairly busy road and you can hear a bit of this noise when lying in bed. I slept fine though, I guess if you're very sensitive to noise you may not sleep perfectly without earplugs.

The poolside was stunning and I definitely had a great time chilling out there. The beach was within very easy access of the hotel too.

The hotel doesn't have a bar or restaurant but you can go for breakfast next door at the Mercure, which will set you back around 31 ringgit.

Overall I'd rate this hotel pretty highly as it's great value for money and it is beautifully designed

A fabulous nine days

We really enjoyed all nine days at Tanjung point. It was an advantage for us that it was midway between Georgetown and the beaches and national Park. The staff were very pleasant and obliging. The view of the sea and ships fishing boats and the distant mountains from our room made it easy to relax here. The photo shows a bonus of being in Penang around Chinese New Year.

Direct path to the beach. Would be better if the path can be cleaned up and made into a proper pathway, with water tap to clean up the sand before re-entering the hotel. Certain parts still under construction but overall excellent stay. Will be back.
