Very good hotel, room was spacious, some rooms don't have windows, though.
Shower was excellent. Staff very friendly. Had a place on the top floor wher you coykd dine or even chill out and a roof terrace. Right in the centre of a very popular area and very near to the main railway station (15 minute walk, if the lights are not on red!!!!).
My Son loved the resident cat who seems to live on the top floor.

Not the best.

Not very good place to stay. Rooms are worn and dirty. Bathroom not cleaned properly at all.
And a big noisy construction site outside.
Locationwise it's in the middle of Ximen, which is good. But for the price I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Can't understand the good ratings. Photos on Internet looks much better than IRL.

1) very good location to a lot of food areas and near to Xi Men surroundings
2) The staff is very helpful and polite. Excellent customer service.

1) The restaurant on the property is no longer in use. The area is being used for customers if they buy street food and want to eat at the property.
2) property pet cat roaming around the eating area (not a pet hater), just for hygiene purposes. Cat jumped up on the table while my family was having a late-night meal tired from the airport.
3) The property needs an upgrade urgently

5) bedsheets need to be changed completely. The bed sheets were very old and one layer had a tear in the corner.
6) Rooms are very Dusty, you can see the dust flying under the ceiling lights. Property needs to install some air filters.

Nice little hotel, works in a pinch.

Comfortable little hotel in a good location near Ximen Station. I was visiting for Pride at the last minute, and most other hotels were booked, so my expectations were low, but I was actually happy with E House. I was particularly impressed by the fact that when I turned off the AC and left for a few hours, when I returned there was absolutely no smell (i.e. it felt very clean and well-kept), which is normally an issue with these types of hotels in my experience. The guy at the counter was friendly and spoke fluent English. The entrance to my room was only a couple meters to the left of the front desk, so everything was a bit close, but I didn't experience any privacy issues and exterior sounds were muffled pretty well. A note about the bathroom: it looked like it had been recently remodeled and looked nice, but the shower doors did not close completely, so every time I ran the shower the floor of the bathroom would be covered with water. I quickly ran out of towels trying to keep things dry.

Booked economy double room, such rooms only located on 9th floor, it's really too small, has a queen size bed and really no space for a standard size luggage. It's quite clean though.
Hotel is hard to find. Building lift is very old, shaky and scary.
Rooms are on 8 and 9th floors, 10th serves breakfast.
Room is prepaid upon checking in with security deposit charged under credit card. But staff explained that lift has no direct access to 9th & 10th floor so that guests will not escape the 8th floor reception supervision. No logic at all!
Breakfast is just plain vanilla. Location not too bad.
Not worth it for this price, stay elsewhere! I stayed in much better budget hotels at Ximending few times before.

This hotel is located not too far from MRT about 10 minutes walk,the room was small and I couldn’t even get my luggage open but for me it’s not an issue since I was just there to sleep and have a breakfast before exploring the city.
The best part of this hotel is the breakfast, it is delicious and employees in restaurant are polite and very helpful!!!👍👍👍

Stayed 3 nights...sadly the room was extra compact and no window. Coped with the size but had difficulty with no windows. The advertising did not clearly identify this.
Final night of stay was disturbing with building noise going on within the building until 1am. Staff could not do anything.
My room is only suitable for solo travellers. Great location....nice breakfast but not always smoke free. I would come back.

I found this hotel is very conveniently located and well-priced for the value. The room is very small but for ready travelers, it would be just enough to secure a base to move around Taipei. I was on the way back to Japan from my business trip to Kaohsiung, and there were many things to do to summarise the trip in the room. But it was easy to buy small foods on the street. Heaps of shops are just around the corners. The room was neatly and carefully cleaned. Wise ready travelers would be utilizing this hotel for saving money, so that they can spend money for other things like foods and sightseeing, I believe. And most importantly, their breakfast was very good. No many varieties, but deliciously cooked Taiwanese dishes made me happy every morning. From the tables, you can see a chef standing beside the table displayed the all-you-can-eat dishes, and he was very friendly! We exchange words every morning, and he often use some Japanese words, such as \"Yakisoba-dayo.\" I already missed his dished, so I am looking forwards to see him again. Only hind side was \"noise.\" I was in the same floor of the reception, and could hear all what people were talking at the lounge in the midnight. When other room gusts came back to their room, their talks in the corridor reflected all around the area. You may need to wear earplugs, otherwise, there was no problem to me. The friendly and professional attitudes of the receptionists were impressive, and they spoke very good English. Thank you all!

Ximen is a bustling area at night but never got rowdy, lots of side streets to get lost in walking around with plenty of food stalls as well as a modern side to it. If you like your temples you won't be disappointed. You have the modern Taipei 101 tower with its very exclusive designer shops, restaurants and bars. The metro system clean and easy to use to get around.

Hotel in XMD area, short walk from metro station.

Booked this hotel very last minute. I know my way in xmd so it wasn't hard for me to find. Just a little bit distanced walk if you don't mind. The room is really nice and spacious! Cosy as well. Down side is the chair seat was stained so it's a little disgusting to look at. Breakfast wise is rather typical. Another thing is that I stayed on the 9th level, in order to take the lift to ground level have to walk down to 8th level, so it was a bit inconvenient when you have more than 1 luggage or bulky luggage. Other than that it was a good stay :)

My family and me stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. We didn't like the staff serving breakfast as she asked us to place the used plates back to the counter after our breakfast, and ordered us to use the same plate for breakfast for environmental protection's sake which is really ridiculous. It's only an excuse for her laziness to do the cleaning.

The hotel is situated beside xmd where the cinemas are. Good for tourists who doesn't want to be in crowded areas.

Hotel staff are superb! As my flight landed at 5am, they actually tried accommodating me! They gave me whatever room was available then tell me to try at 11am to see if my room was ready. The cleaners were very very nice too. Hotel lobby is situated on 8th floor so those staying on the 9th when you check out just call them and they will get the lift up as outsiders can press till level 9.

Breakfast wise was simple. A good coffee machine with juices, soya milk, porridge, selection of bread and some scrambled eggs and bacon. I think it's good enough. Plus they have a balcony so if the weather is good. Bring your food out and enjoy the weather!

Hotel is located in XimenDing. Very convenient as whole area is full of resturants, shops & cinemas. Short walking distance from the train station. Hotel staffs is very friendly, always greets you when they see you. Hotel lobby is located on the 8f of a building. Outlook of the building may be rundown, but you'll be surprise when you reach the hotel lobby. Hotel is rather new as they only opened for business last year after renovation. Pillow is very soft, do ask for extra pillows if needed. Afterall, enjoyed our stay there!

Comfy stay! Value for money!

Small hotel situated on the top 2 floors of a building within Ximending. Short walk through the busy XMD area from the MRT station. Clean and well kept hotel with very friendly and accommodating staff. Simple but tasty breakfast provided. Rooms without window can be small to some and they come with futon beds. Housekeeping however can take a while to clean the rooms. Overall great value for money for its location and comfort.

You need to choose the right room. Their superior double is just a tatami bed with wash room. No walk way at all.. Pictures in hotel.com is rather misleading. If you don't mind to pay for a bit more, pls book the delux room instead. Overall good location as it's just at ximen ding. Very convinent to do last min shopping. :)

I had booked a standard single Japanese futon room and I can assure that it's the smallest room I have ever stayed in a hotel room. It's actually great for single traveller as everything is within reach in the room. It would be great if there were hooks in the room as there were no wardrobe and hangers to hang clothes in room. The double lock in the room was faulty but luckily there is a door chain. The housekeeping made up my room even when I had specifically told the staff at reception that I would not want them to enter throughout my stay and had placed the \"Do not disturb\" sign on my door. Lucky I was smart enough to place all my valuable items in the luggage and locked it every time before I leave the room. Hence nothing was found missing when I came back from my shopping trip. The breakfast buffet choice is very limited but I would like to compliment the lady who cooks and prepare the dishes as it is very tasty! She is also very welcoming with a smile on her face every time I visit for breakfast. The staff at the reception should take her as an example as I felt that most of them rarely smile. Location wise for me it's really happening as it is located at the heart of Ximending.

Staff-approachable, friendly, helpful. RM is small and has mosquito, but when inform the staff, they did try to take action to correct it n check. Room next to lift lobby, at night seems can hear motor sound. Door only has 1 chain latch, if has double lock will be better. Overall think is not a bad one especially the location is near a lot of amenities, food and shops. In the hotel itself, felt ok, except the downstairs lift area to take lift to the hotel floor, seems messy and doesnt look safe type.

Overall, a nice place to rest for the night

Overall, I am quite satisfied. The hotel was very clean and the staff are polite. The condition of the hotel is quite good though the facade of the building does not cue that. Had some issue with the aircon. I couldn't make the room more chilled as I was perspiring under the blanket. So, I threw the blanket aside and it was more comfy. The hotel is situated opposite Cheng Pin Wu Chang. The hotel is in the building as Tian Tian Hotpot. As such, it is a good 10 minutes walk from Ximan metro exit 6. It was value for money.

設備は古かったが、コスパを重視しての選択なので、充分かと思ってます。
サービスで提供された水が、開栓していないのに、横にしただけで水が漏れた。

安い宿泊料金のホテルを探したので、ある程度は許容範囲。
設備、清潔さ、は今時なかなか無いレベル。
でも、ホテルライフを楽しむ旅行ではないし、ベッドは寝心地良かった。

しかしデラックスルームを2部屋予約したのに、明らかに1部屋は部屋の広さ部屋の設備からしてデラックスルームではない。
これは、違約金をもらってもいいぐらいでは。

到着した時のフロントの女性はとても感じが良く親切だった。

立地は良いが、次回は泊まらない。

スタッフの対応も素晴らしい

場所もわかりやすい所にあり、1階にはコンビニや周りは飲食店が沢山あったので、交通の便もとても良かったです。屋上のテラスでドリンクのサービスもあり、とてもサービスが良かったです。
荷物が沢山あったにも関わらずチェックインやチャックアウトしてからも預かって頂き大変助かりました。
帰りの空港までのタクシーを手配していたのですが、手配先のタクシーが事故渋滞に巻き込まれたらしく、大幅に到着が遅れるとの事で、ホテルのスタッフの方が電話でやり取りして頂き、無事に飛行機に間に合いました。
日本語の通じるスタッフさんもいらっしゃり、とても親切に対応して頂き感謝しています。
また台湾へ訪れる際は、こちらのホテルにさせて頂きたいくらい素晴らしいホテルでした。

房間清潔度欠佳，地上還有上一家的包裝紙及食物殘渣。毛巾有黃色一點點污跡，整潔程度有待改善。
