Not bad experience, a little loud on the street and the random hidden fee in the stipulations on the number of people (even though we booked with that number included) wasn’t great but alas it was just 20 bucks not 400 like other hotels in Taiwan this trip (yes this happened)

There was an oder in my first room and the front desk volunteered to move me to another room. sadly they were fully booked, but moved me the next morning, with smiles.

it's always the small things, but this place is well organized:
- shower door opens into shower, so no dripping on the floor
- light switches are labeled correctly
- in room safe works
- door closer closes door all the way, so it is locked
- hallways/common areas clean, well organized and useful

the only negative was at 5am the morning I was leaving - only had warm water, not hot water. minor issue (different if only cold water) and perhaps I beat their hot water timer. If I return (immigration is a nightmare at the airport) I would stay at Swiio Hotel again and hope other locations are just as good

Had a terrible experience at Swiio. Bought and used a whole bottle of carpet deodorizer and multiple air fresheners but could not sleep through the stench. Air was thick and moldy. Could not tough it out and checked out early.

Stayed for 1 night. It's in convenient location in Ximen. But you do need to walk a bit from green Ximen station exit 6. Keep in mind when you've luggage and trying to walk through sea of crowd. Room was small, not much room for luggage, no windows. Staff was friendly, bed was comfortable, shower was excellent, room was clean. Negative is room's soundproofing from surrounding noise was horrible, very BAD. We couldn't sleep well. There were random noise, voices, laughters heard from 12am - 4am.

The location was fabulous, basically in the middle of all the action, with the metro station a short walk away.

Didn’t look like much from the outside, honestly we were slightly worried when we found the entrance with the elevator going up to the lobby. But it looked much more promising once we entered in elevator, which was newly upgraded and looked nothing like the outside.

Staff were friendly and efficient. The room, beds and bathroom were well-sized, we found everything to be very clean.

The tea station and bottles of water were a nice touch.

Would stay again when visiting in the area again. :)

First time in Taipei and Ximen area. The hotel is located in a building with multiple businesses and the entry can be hard to find but easy to find once you get there one time. The location is in a very busy area with lots of food and shopping nearby. Room size was decent and the AC was excellent. Bathroom was large but my shower leaked on the floor - seemed like the drain would not drain quickly enough. Bed and bedding are pretty comfortable. I was here for 6 nights and I wish there was more storage for clothing outside of drawer next to the bed. I asked for more hangers and the staff was able to give me more hangers at the front desk. The elevators can be tricky (one broke down briefly) and you have to share with other businesses in the building.

My biggest issue is that I came back to my room with a friend of mine that lived with the city around 3:30PM on my last night and once we got into the room, I got a call from the front desk saying that they saw me come in with a guest and if he stays the night he would need to register at the desk. This just weirded me out because the lobby is on the 6th floor and my room is on the 5th. So not sure if they were watching me on a security camera or what....I don't have an issue registering a guest if they will stay the night but it was disturbing to be tracked by the hotel.

The only other issue is that there is a lack of sound proofing in the hallways so you can hear people talking as they walk by.

A bit small but the hotel was clean and comfortable. Located right in the heart of Ximending. The hotel also has a bar located on the 6th floor next to the lobby. The staff was courteous and friendly. If you can’t find the hotel for whatever reason, it is located right next to the TGIF Restaurant. The hotel is easily walkable from Ximen Station , Exit 6. I’ll consider staying here again.

In the very heart of Ximending, reasily accessible and close to the Main train station in Taipei, from where you can get practically anywhere around Taipei by metro within 30 mins. Staff in the hotel, personally Philos and Jocelyn I met personally, were very nice, helpful and provided all services and information needed for enjoyable stay, really highly recommended.

Strategic location in Ximending and super convenient.

The location and rooms are generally OK but guess we were unlucky as the room aircon wasn't working well, the air were still without ventilation.

Bummed onto the aircon contractors along the corridor and he helped us to check, he commented that the Ac wasn't serviced hence the vents are blocked with dust but the room Ac wasn't due for servicing hence they can't work on it.

We later informed the Counter Staff about the Ac but then
We only had 2 nights hence didn't want to make a fuss out of it. Just disappointed on how the staff managed the issue, they simply place a standing fan in our room which we didn't bother to troub

At Ximen shopping area with easy access to food & shopping. Superb convenience if you just want to eat and shop. Unique interior design, decent room size for couple, toiletries available, mineral water and snacks.
Personally, mattress is too soft which, movement of a person will interrupt another person sleeping besides. Coffee table kind of small for 2 person usage.
Overall, strategic location with daily housekeeping to keep it clean. Friendly staffs (most of them). Thank you.

Worth a try for non fussy travel

Located at the heart of Ximending, this hotel is very central. It is a small hotel but very clean. Just a small feedback that the ventilation fan in the toilet is not good. Every time we come back to the room from outside and the fan is on, there is a very strong stench of cigarette smell from the toilet. Other than that, i give this hotel a thumbs up.

The room details do not mention there are no windows. Otherwise the room was very nice. The hotel is in a mixed-use building. The rooms are on the 5th floor while the registration/lobby/bar/tattoo parlor are on the 6th floor. Due to security issues, the hotel staff say it's not possible to walk from 6th down to 5th floor. Have to take the elevator one floor. Three elevators in the building lobby and not all of them go to 5th floor. Just a little odd. But ignoring all of that, it was a decent hotel. Right in the middle of Ximen, so lots of stuff nearby. Room was comfy. But the listing should be updated to show there are no windows.

Nice and comfortable hotel stay at ximending

The hotel is easily located at the heart of ximending. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful in booking for us Starbucks at 101 and transport to airport (staff: Patrick and jasmine). Overall are excellent except for the shampoo that they use, is pretty dry to the hair. Recommend to change another type of shampoo for customer. Thanks.

The walk to Swiio was just 5 min from the Ximen Station, very easy to find, diagonally opposite Amba Hotel. The feel of the room was much smaller than what the photo portrays because of a low ceiling. My kiddo of 1.4 can top toe and touch the ceiling, think it may feel claustrophobic for tall people. However it fits my kiddo and I well, we can put two luggages down but will have to close them when exiting the room. Love the clean sheets and modern feel of the room. Location is great.

Great inexpensive place!

The rooms are clean, nice and well air conditioned. The staff is very helpful and nice. The location is fantastic - right in the middle of shops and wonderful restaurants, fruit stands with lots of people walking around enjoying everything. Night time is a bit of a festival atmosphere, in a good way. The price is fantastic.

Great stay with Swiio, very cozy environment. Room was a bit smaller than I expected based on pictures but it was still a comfortable and clean environment. Walls were not soundproof but it's usually quiet unless people are walking past. Located in a great area of Ximending, lots of food and convenience stalls around. Great reception, fast and fuss-free service.

A bit difficult to locate for 1st timer.From Ximen station exit 6 turn right (lift at ximen) go straight 2 traffic turn left, find TGIF restaurant & u will see the hotel.
Overall good stay, suitable for not fussy people.
