The hotel suited my needs. Don’t be fooled the the street it is on or the entrance. The hotel was clean and efficiently operated. Staff was cordial and helpful. Best shower in a Hotel I have stayed in. Bathroom is a good size. TV is massive. Bed comfortable and firm. If you are a light sleeper, the noise from the street may bother you. This is not the fault of the hotel, but on weekends the streets are lividly and can carry noise well into the night.

Stayed 3 nights and we had to change room on the second day.. we got kind of upgraded and it was located on one floor above 9/f, so we had to walk stairs after taking elevator. The room was bigger than the first one but it was not co clean. There were dead mosquitoes with blood on the walls.

Sound proof between rooms are really bad. But staff are nice. They greet ppl whenever the guests come into the bullding. Cleaning lady is hardworking and sometimes they cleaned ur room in late afternoon becoz ur room is not available in the morning or noon time...

Staff are friendly,can understand English. The rooms are clean, although I find it too small. The bed is really good for relaxing.. It would be better if you have cabinets installed in the room. Shower is great with hot and cold water. Shower room is spacious , but it would be better to install bidet for the toilet.

Service: Really nice and friendly Staffs! I arrived on new year's eve, and got to take a photo as a small gift. They were also prompt to request and queries. On the last night of my stay, we asked for scissors and tape for our loots, they brought the items up in no time. After check out, one of their male staff who happen to end shift when we're leaving, offered to carry our luggage and flagged a cab for us. Didn't catch his name, but really thankful that he went the extra mile to help us even though he is already off shift.

Room: room was clean and tidy. However I'm not a fan of windowless rooms, this was not mentioned in the room details. Soundproofing of the room was okay, we can hear people from the corridor. Although it's in the heart of ximending, there's no loud noise from the activities downstairs.

Breakfast: located at basement, there's two mains to choose from daily, however service was pretty slow, and the buffet options were very little. There was one day both the mains offered were beef, and I can't have beef, so I'm left with the sides for breakfast. Also, if you need their lobby washroom, you will have to go to the basement as well. If you're going at night, the restaurant lights will be off, only the washroom area will be lit.

Overall, a pleasant stay. However may try other hotels where the rooms have windows next time.

A place to sleep in the hart of Ximending

It’s a place to sleep only.
When I checked in Hotel front desk can’t find my booking we need to wait about 15-20 mins for the room.
Room super small, ok clean when you check in, but they don’t change bed sheets every day.....
Breakfast only have 2 choice A or B.
Location in the hart of Ximending but a distance from MRT Exit 6. If you walk from exit 6 to hotel it take about 10 mins. Taxi can’t stop in front of hotel a bit inconvenient.

Excellent hotel in an great location

This is a very good hotel with excellent services. I would stay there again - staff is very good and friendly. They also give you a 4G device to rent that works everywhere in Taiwan which is a major help.
Excellent free breakfast and you cannot beat the location of the place. The only suggestion I can make is to have some drawers for your clothes in the room. No other suggestions for the room it was very clean and with everything that someone would need.

Hotel located in prime area of Taipei(Ximending). It is convenient and accessible for us to travel around. However during our stay, breakfast could be done better, the rice was not cooked properly on the first breakfast we had, my mom had a rotten mandarin orange serve but was replace once we highlighted to staff. Other unpleasant experience was the room has very strong cigarette smell. We occupied 4 rooms on the 7th floor and all room facing the same situation which I’m surprised from a smoke free hotel. My mom wasnt feeling well on the first night we arrived Taipei. The cigarette smell room created more discomfort.

Nice location in the hearts of ximending with alot of attraction for shopping nearby. Design and condition of the hotel was not bad, and new. But the room is small where there isnt a place that you can leave your luggage open on the floor overnight without tripping over when you move about. sadly my room doesnt have a window whereby its harder to gauge the timing of the day. especially waking up for breakfast, gotta set alarm daily.

Book the room for a quick sleep since I landed at 0500 in TPE. Staff were great and had prepared our roomed with all paperwork done on arrival. Very comfortable stay and sleep. Area is awesome. Right in the outskirts of Ximending. Thanks for an awesome staff

Hotel room is tiny, but well equipped with a fridge, bed light controls, huge bed, convenient shower and good WiFi.

The hotel staff are friendly, the water and snacks in the room are refilled daily.

Breakfast is included but limited to one of two optional set meals which change everyday.

Cons:
Room is very small.
A/C makes the room very stuffy and smell of mold.
Room was a bit noisy from the street outside.

Bottom line: I will definitely consider staying there next time.

Was a pleasant stay apart from the noise from the neighbouring room, we heard vaccum cleaner and other noises around 10:30, but since we were going out it didn't affect us much, but it'll prob will if you need a decent sleep. Location was great, breakfast was average, overall value for money.

Nice and cheap hotel in the central of Taipei

It's cheap but the services were so good. Breakfasts are included and all the food and drinks in the room are free, no additional fee is needed. The hotel staff is nice and helpful. The room is excellent and I love the mattress, it's comfy. The bathroom is nice too, the shampoo is good. And, it's in Ximending, it's very convenient to go downstairs for food at night, even midnight.

First time to Taipei for a 10 day business trip.

This was my first time traveling to Taipei and I needed a hotel that was fairly central as a home base. I also wanted to some comforts and great service.

The hotel is small and located in a bustling area. The staff was friendly and very helpful both onsite and on the phone. This came in handy a couple of times when they had to give a taxi driver directions.

Room sizes are small, there is no lounging space, no closets and no place to put your luggage. I wish that I hadn't had to sleep with my suitcase on the bed. The sheets were decent and the rooms were clean. Towels definitely need to be replaced more often as mine were scratchy from being washed so many times. The hot water...... Oh yes! There is hot water. Amazing water pressure and heat. Shampoo and body wash were in the shower and lots of toiletries on the counter. Everything you need.

Breakfast was provided. Food was decent, nothing to be excited by but decent way to start the morning.

Wi-fi was ok although there were times that it was hard to keep a connection. Next time I'll bring my own hotspot.

The only problem is that all the cards are recycled and my room number was printed on both cards. HUGE SECURITY PROBLEM!!! DO NOT PUT ROOM NUMBERS ON ROOM KEYS. If they are lost then someone not only has my key but knows what room to use it on.

the hotel location is very nice. just the soundproof was very bad. you may awake by all kind of sound from the nextroom. even in the midnight i got awake.

one more thing is that when i ask for room cleaning. even after few hours i back from outside my room still the same. they never show up. so does when i tell the cleaning staff that my fridge is down, but no response as well.

The room is clean, however, beware that they are extremely cramp as the room is barely enough to place two queen beds (we are a family of 4) and the room has no windows. Overall, for the price I paid I though this hotel is really great for the value. We got a superior but there is just a small space so we have to climb over our (open)luggage all the time. I like that the windows are in the toilet so we can 'air it out'. And although we are facing the street on the 3rd floor, with toilet facing the street, we didn't feel that it was noisy or intrusive. Just keep the blinds down. Breakfast was okay. Service was really good.

Close to the night time buzz...

Ximending is the place to be if you're young and out and about in Taipei. It is busy from noon into the wee hours all days of the week so don't expect complete quiet when you're back at your hotel. My room was virtually windowless except for a small one in the washroom looking into the...backstairs. Blind was down for obvious reasons. However, that said, a third floor room with a window onto the streets of Ximending might prove noisy for some if you're an early sleeper and have no tolerance for a bit of street buzz. This is Taipei, not a bed and breakfast in Vermont. Breakfast wasn't great even by budget Ximending hotel standards. I've had better. Go out into the streets and eat some shaobing youtiao (flakey pastry and Chinese doughnut) and soy milk instead!

Nice hotel, but unable to give rooms on time

We booked 2 rooms, both rooms were not ready at 3pm, was asked to come back at 5pm, we got bk at 5:30pm, rooms was still not ready until 6pm, their excuse was there was a problem with the \"Door Lock\", but I heard them using the same excuse to other guest too! Apart from the check in time, rooms are modern & clean, good breakfast, free potato chip & soft drinks in minibar, very convenient, 3blocks from Ximending centre and the receptionists are very polite. Good Location but Hotel Provides Hourly Rental

This is my second stay here due to the good location (right smacked in Ximending) and close proximity to a public carpark for our rental car. Don't like the fact that the hotel rents out rooms in 2 to 3 hours block. In fact, hotel staff asked if I can check in after 5.30pm as people in the room will check out then. I refused as the official check-in time is 3pm and asked for another room. Will still recommend the hotel to my friends but will warn them about it.

Pleasant hotel stay

The hotel quite near to the MRT (about 5 to 10 min walk). A lot of cinema theatres nearby and is very convenient to walk to all those famous spots in Ximending. Easy to navigate around in Ximending. The staffs are very friendly and they helped to safe keep your luggages if you are just away for a night. Very near to a McDonald outlet which is 24H operational.

Good hotel for a busy stay

The location is great. More or less just of the main commerical area of Ximen where you can spend hours wandering.

Rooms are compact, but modern and clear. I though the breakfast was average. I went to it sometimes, sometimes not, but its so cheap to eat nearby it doesnt matter. The room would still be good value without it.

We booked this hotel as the location was great, and the pictures of the hotel looked ok. We didn't read reviews on the hotel. When we first saw the room, it was really tiny. On top of that, the room was infested with mosquitoes and we were bitten very badly overnight. We told the front desk staff the next morning and they looked surprised and in disbelief. However, when we read reviews of the hotel, we found it was a common complaint. The breakfast spread was surprisingly decent for a small hotel but don't expect much in terms of taste. Overall, the hotel was in a great location but the condition of the hotel was not what we expected.

The only good comment to this hotel is just the location. I booked the standard double room and was told by the impolite receptionist (when I made a complain call) that all rooms of the above room type are located just next to the elevator that you can almost hear every single words and noise from outside because the door has no soundproofing at all. And the receptionist is not helpful and patient. It ended up that I could not sleep well for these three nights, edpecially the first night, because there was so many noise outside and the housekeeping started their job at every 6:30am. By the way, the housekeeping did not change the sheets of our bed that I had carelessly made some dirt on it.

Great hotel for the younger set

Excellent location in the heart of the pedestrian shopping district Ximending. Really nice breakfast buffet with many food options. However, hotel is best for young couples, solo younger travelers. Location is very vibrant and noisy until fairly late at night, so it is not quiet in the room till quite late. Rooms are cosy but small (fits the bed and little else). However, it's good value for money.

I booked the room for 3 nights. However, I checked out only after one night. The room is very small without a window. I can't tell day or night time. Smell of pineapple, very obviously someone staying before me had eaten that in the room. Worst of all, there is mosquito at night which made me decided to change hotel. Not worth for money. Overall the stay is nice except that the room is rather small.. hardly find a space to place and open my luggage bag, not to mention, we have 2 huge ones.. I think am getting one of the biggest room available (room 202) and without window..
Other than that.. it is ok..
The very good about this hotel is, it provides self-service laudry at very nice rate.. per laundry is only NT$50 & per dryer is also NT$50!! means we managed to wash a load of dirty clothes with only NT$100!
The staffs are very polite & friendly.. and they provide ok breakfast too..

Cosy hotel and great location

Booked a standard room for 1 night before moving on to Hualien. We were upgraded to a deluxe room and a room with window. The bed was very big and comfortable, but there were no space to put our luggage. The piping system was quite disturbing whenever some other rooms opens the taps or showers. Overall this hotel is clean and accessible.

Bad :
Not a hotel for family trip. Room is very small. I booked the room for 4 ppl (my kids are 3 and 5) with 2 queens beds. I can't even open my suitcase.

Sound proof is the worst. We went to bed early but not the room next to us. We can hear what they talked even worst if they are talking in the corridor.

It is a hourly hotel. NTD 580 for 3 hour rest.

Conclusion.
You pay what you get.
Young couple with no kids or bf/gf trip is good. If u are over 30, book something else more decent.

If u are planning to a trip with a lot of action with your second half, this is not the one as well due to the sound proof unless you can keep your voice very low.

Nice hotel. Very comfortable and located at a good location. Stayed at a quad room and beds were big and comfortable, TV was also big and strong WIFI was provided. Everything was perfect except that the room was very small for 4 person and there was barely enough space to walk. However, it was definitely worth it for the price and location.

was slightly hard to find the hotel because ximending has a lot of different streets. Hotel receptionists were good enough to provide us with maps and recommended places. Friendly. safe. wall was not sound proof so may be slightly noisy in the middle of the night. breakfast was good.

Great location

The location and service provided was great and the room size is too small and you can see trough the washroom door(if you stay in as a couple than you wouldn't mind but I m staying with my friends). Overall can't complaint much if you wouldn't stay in the room for long period the size wouldn't be a big problem.

Clean and cozy room, big and comfy bed

The bed is big and comfy, hotel room is clean and cozy; but it is rather small room where I dont have much place to open up my luggage. The lobby staffs are nice and friendly. Although there is abit distance from mrt, the location is still considered good as 7-11 and cinemas are just a few shop away. I will choose this hotel again next time.

Good Location!

Good location, easily accessed.

Staff were helpful in providing assistance to travel service, booking of driver, etc. Hotel breakfast has quite a number of varieties, however, it would be better if varities can be changed everyday. We stayed for number of days there & see same breakfast everyday.

Nice hotel close to Ximen MTR

A relatively new hotel located in Ximending, approximately 5-8min walk to the MTR.
Staff are helpful and polite.
Bed is big and comfy, however room is a bit small with little space to walk after you open up your luggage.

Bad reception staffs

1) Poor knowledge of some of the hotel staffs, 2) Room was not cleaned up daily even though the hotel staff said yes they did. 3) There was not any feedback after I questioned the staff about the make up room service. 4) Room is very small and no wardrobe for clothing. 5) Soundproof is really bad, we can even hear very slight noise. 6) Toilet paper was not replenished. 7) The receptionist attempted to extra charge me for the child @ TWD300 per night per head while there was not stated in the online booking and the reason given by the reception was because the child's height had exceeded the height of the reception counter. That's unbelievable. 8) Early check in and late check out service was not available even we have requested online but the hotel did not give us any feedback. In conclusion, if not for the price and the reviews that posted online which attracted us to go for this hotel, we will definitely not patronize this.

Good location

Hotel is in Ximending area. Very convenient for moving around the area. The train station is about 10 min walk away. Take note, the room does not have any windows.
