Staff was friendly and courteous! The balcony room was nice and bigger than the last time we were around. The only reason this got a four star is because someone smoked in the room before we went. We bought our own deodorizer to rid the smell and we couldn't change rooms because they were fully booked. Otherwise everything else was great!

Elevator is too small, no luggage cart can fit into it, as we have a bit more luggage. We asked for an additional blanket, it was so ugly, old and worn out, even they said, it’s cleaned. It couldn’t be accepted. We asked for change, the 2nd one was still the same, so we gave up. One of the receptionist was rude. We will not coming back and wouldn’t recommend to anyone else. Thank you

Staff were friendly, the only downside is the bed it's firm but that's normal for east Asian cultures.

I loved the location! The area was very walkable, safe and nearby eateries and shopping. I regularly went for walks alone at 3-4am, and felt completely safe. The a/c worked great, which was a huge plus. I would definitely stay here again.

It's located just across the street from the Ximending pedestrian area, so you get immediate access without having to stay directly in the chaos.

The only plus point about the hotel is that it’s right smack within the vicinity of Ximending and the night market. Other than that , the hotel felt damp and old. Aircon thermostat doesn’t work. Room has no heating function - we were there in winter where it was 8-12 degc and was freezing. Had to switch off the aircon and hide under the sheets as that’s the warmest the room could get to at night.

Fantastic hotel! The position couldn’t have been better-next to Walking District shopping and markets (THE best place to stay!), 5 minutes walk to train station-both blue and green lines, as well as the bus stop. The hotel is lovely. It is renovated, clean and comfortable. My room was spacious, well equipped, and spotlessly clean. The staff are polite and friendly, but not intrusive. It didn’t make any weird noises during a morning earthquake!!! After exploring all of Taipei for a week I’m so happy I picked this location and this hotel!

stayed 7 nights in triple room , comes with a bathtub good for kids to soak and play bathbomb in it. walkable from XMD metro exit 6 , just opp yong he you tiao so its actually quite quiet surrounding from the hustle of xmd. Daily house cleaning available , good enough for daily sleeping. Corridor has water dispenser so can refill daily water from there.Opp street got a hidden coin laundry shop good for long stay. Overall for the price and location cant hiam liao since we just need a room to rest well. strongly recommeded for families with kids.

Worst Hotel in Taipei

I’ve visited Taipei several times. However, I was extremely displeased with the service and accommodation offered within this hotel. Not only was the receptionists rude and unprofessional, but also lack proper communication. The cleanliness of residence was gut wrenching. The wallpaper was peeling and had several unknown stains on the ceilings. The rooms also had a distinct smell mildew. In addition, the images of the hotel advertises a bright and lively atmosphere. However, the rooms are dark and dim. The atmosphere in the residence does not feel safe or welcoming. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with looks of disgust from staff. The dat security guard is lazy, and displays looks of disgust towards guests. Overall, this hotel was cumulatively a disappointment and gave a false impression. I do not recommend under any circumstance, book a room at the East Dragon Hotel in Taipei. Additional note: the elevator is extremely irritating and is in desperate need of repair.

Walkable to Ximending MRT in 5 minutes. Hotel is located at the corner of the yellow pole section. Plenty of foods to try around and opposite to Family Mart as well. The staff was very nice especially the luggage uncle, very kind and also service with a beautiful smile.

Location was fantastic. Though hotel is old it was clean. It had recently been renovated. So was quite comfortable with a decent sized room and bathroom which could fit a bathtub. Staff were friendly also. Only fault i could find was that the bed was a bit too hard for me and my wife. Otherwise everything else was good

Three pax in a Room , 1 Double Bed 1 Single Bed. Not quite satisfied with the Socket as only one socket and we have to share among 3 pax with our HP charger, Labtop Charger, wifi charger, portable battery charger. Given tips to the cleaner and asked to tidy the room, blankets were not tidy up she just dump on the bed.

Staff was friendly and enthusiastic. It seemed I was always greeted when I returned to the hotel. For a budget-priced establishment, I was very happy to have a fridge in the room. Location was extremely convenient, being that it is just across the street from a 24-hour Family Mart store, plus it seems like there is almost always a taxi driver hanging out across the street (near Family Mart) waiting for a fare. The only two negatives I would say are, 1) the lobby is not very brightly lit. It would be easier on the eyes when walking in from the bright sunshine if the interior was a little less dark. 2) On two of my nights there, I had neighbours who stayed up late, as in, around 3am or so, and laughed even louder than they talked. (Not the same people the two different nights.) Not necessarily the hotel's fault though. Bottom line: would I stay here again? Yes, I would.

Location is fantastic and short walk to access many eateries around.
Room was abit old but was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was reasonably good and our family is overall satisfied with the stay. Will definitely stay there again whenever I am at Taipei.
