Towels were horrible - crispier than they need to be. Gym is mediocre and there’s no spa (but tiny tubs in the room). It’s very crowded with foreign tourists so beware!

New, clean hotel with a great location. Friendly staff and a very comfortable bed.
The gym is quite limited, with only cardio machines and dumbbells up to 20 lbs. oh.. and a yoga ball? That’s it. An upgrade to include basic strength-training equipment would improve the experience.
Breakfast was very disappointing and not worth the extra cost. There are much better food options at nearby shops, way cheaper and more local. which I would highly recommend instead.

Solaria's staff were so kind and hospitable staff to my partner and I. We arrived at the hotel at 3am, and the staff were very helpful to assist us with our late check-in. When we departed, they also helped arrange an airport transfer for us to Taoyuan Airport, saving us a lot of time.

The rooms are stylish and very clean. We stayed for one week, and we appreciated the option to have the rooms cleaned every other day. They also have a laundry service, which saved us so much trouble as we had been travelling already for two weeks. We were also obsessed with the room/fabric spray they use.

Excellent stay. We absolutely recommend this to all travellers!

This hotel was very convenient for the Ximen walk area. The rooms are well designed and contemporary. The staff was very friendly and helpful when you need something. They recognized Expedia rewards status and provided complimentary water bottles at the lounge area. Also if there drop off a towel and water bottles at your room door when you put do not disturb and skip housekeeping. I would recommend this to anyone coming to Ximen area.

The place is nicely located in Ximending, near to Ah Zhong Mee Sua and Metro. I like how the room is also equiped with a dehumidifier and extra pillow (wrote in to request) a huge relief for folks with chronic sinus issues. I also appreciate the laundry facilities and laundry freshener spray in the room. Small things make a difference!

Drawback - breakfast menu can do with some change for variety and the lobby do stink up quite a bit whenever the smoking room door opens. All in all I would still opt to stay here again!

If you like to be in Xinmenting area this is a good hotel to be in. Near all the shops and food. Hotel only has one restaurant same as breakfast place. A small Gym. It has laundry in one floor.
It’s quite new and well maintained. A Japanese hotel. No toothbrush or any other toiletries will be provided. Rooms are clean up only on alternate days.

The area is very busy at night and there are many souvenir shops and great places to pick up the milk crispy donut, taiwanese fried chicken, bubble tea and a little place down the street where you can see staff making xiao long baos and steamed buns. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast included western and japanese options which were great to try. Great hotel for the Ximendeng experience.

The shower area is an area outside of the tub (likely, Japanese style). Breakfast buffet is good with more Taiwanese and Japanese style food. There are also lots of eatery around the hotel. Hotel front office even told us no discount if pre-purchase breakfast with the hotel reservation. (Can purchase on site) We had one member not eating the pre-purchased breakfast for several days due to jet lag hence the feeling that we had wasted money. Free water, tea, coffee till 10pm at the lobby. Standard Taiwanese hotel with in-room water pot, tea bags, coffee and a small refrigerator and safe.
We did use the laundry facility. Detergent is dispensed in the machine with the wash which is about 30 minutes, then drying about 50 minutes. Does cost $50NT each. Usually, not very crowded (as it does take time to do laundry). Great location at Ximeng Ding downtown for shopping and dining and near MRT entrance. Maybe one downside that I agree with other reviewers is the room tends to be small by US standard. Also, they do not allowed eating at the lobby which is a little inconvenient if meeting up with friends.
Checking in is on 6th floor, then walk past the lobby another elevator takes you to the rooms with key pass as security measure.
Hotel entrance is on Han Ko Jie where the taxi should take you.

The room was clean and spacious. Staff were friendly - always welcomed and greeted when passing through the lobby. Free tea, water and coffee in lobby which was nice. Breakfast is located on the 7th floor. Had to buy a ticket through the lobby first and there are notices everywhere to not go at certain times. I think my only issue is the hard 3pm checkin for everyone. I know this makes it easier for the cleaners and gives a consistent approach but landing at 6am made for a long wait especially after an 18 hour flight. The hotel has a laundry room and a self baggage storage area which I did use and found very helpful. The location was perfect for my needs but I wish there was room service. Overall it was a good stay.

Overall I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. It is conveniently located close to the MRT station and a short walk to the airport train station. It is also right around the corner from a busy pedestrian shopping area with lots of shopping and dining options. The hotel is a Japanese chain, so many aspects of the hotel are Japanese including the bathroom layout (separate toilet from sink and bath) and lots of Japanese items at the breakfast buffet. If I had realized this beforehand I may have chosen a different hotel as I really wanted a ‘Taiwan’ experience and would have appreciated more local options for breakfast. The service was excellent, especially Louis who checked us in and provided us assistance throughout our stay.

Amazing location, easy access to ximending and ximen station (300m). The only downfall is the lack of facilities in the building e.g. pool, sauna, limited seating for tea and coffee in lobby area. The hotel is very clean and staff is very hospitable and welcoming. Reception was at 6th floor, no concierge or bell boy to help with luggage. Stayed 2 weeks in this hotel and felt very comfortable. Some reviews said it was noisy but we didnt feel that at all. The hotel it self is quite new and the location and access was the reason we chose this hotel. A little bit more pricier than other 4 star hotels we've stayed at overall, we defintely liked our stay but I wouldnt say we LOVED it.

Pros:
Self service laundry, luggage storage, tea and coffee station, location and the housecleaning.

Cons
limited facilities: no pool, sauna, small gym, no shampoo/conditioner, no toothbrushes. money exchange was challenging as the hotel only accepted certain currencies e.g. USD, EUR, YEN. Any other currencies you need to go to Bank of Taiwan or Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Shopping Mall. No staff assistance with luggage on check in, no concierge, breakfast was not fantastic for the price we paid, reception is on level 6 not on ground floor.

I was very impressed by how clean, quiet & inviting the property is. The entrance is sort of tucked away in plain sight in a bustling area of Ximending with the lobby on the 6th floor. The Japanese vibe felt very authentic, and the staff were so professional, caring & helpful. My room was on the 21st floor and had a stunning view of the city. The bed was so comfortable, and the bathtub was a delight. Some areas of the property are showing some age, but you can tell it is thoroughly maintained. Highly recommend.
