The staffs were super friendly and helpful. The room was great as well just that not much of clothes hanging space. The snack bar full of choices for instant noodles and biscuits. The drinks fridge has lot of choices too including bottle mineral water and sandwiches as well. They even gave a puzzle piece for you to draw and paste on the wall however we were sad as ours dropped and went missing after 2days. They also gave me a birthday card and gifts too.

My stay at Cho Hotel was a great experience. It was near the MRT station so I could easily travel around Taipei. It was near the walking area with bustling shops, food, and hidden places to get ink stamps in your notebook/journal for your travels. The 24/7 access to snacks and drinks were a great help to having quick access to free water and other things. My friend had commented why they hadn't booked at Cho Hotel instead of their accommodation.

This is a good value-for-money hotel. By “good value,” I mean that it is good for the price, not that it can be compared to other 5-star hotels.

Although it was reasonable for the price, the room was cold because the heating did not work properly. I asked for an extra blanket, but it was still chilly. There was some mold in the shower room, and because the building is quite old, there was a musty smell.

Most importantly, the room was very, very small. There was no space to open a suitcase and no closet to hang clothes.
This hotel is really suitable for one person looking for a cheap place to stay.
The good points were that the staff were very friendly, and there is a snack bar and a relaxation area on the second floor, which was nice.

The staff and amenities at the Cho Hotel stand out. Located in the busy district of Ximen, the hotel is beautifully decorated with plenty of vintage old school charm, there's free snacks and ramen in the lounge and the staff are super helpful with tips and recommendations. The rooms are not particularly big but that's to be expected in a hotel in the middle of the Taipei. Nevertheless, they were modern, clean, and the bathroom/shower was easily as big as the rest of the room! Really enjoyed our stay here, convenient to food options, attractions and public transportation. Lovely stay.

Cho Hotel is in a centralized location with many walkable night markets nearby. It's also a short walk away from the train stations so it's super easy to get around town easily. The free snacks and drinks really helped when I got back super late and needed something small to nibble on like a good bowl of instant ramen or chips. Who would have thought Asparagus Juice tasted better than it sounds haha...there's also a 24-hour braised pork restaurant around the corner I had to visit many times since it was so good!

The Cho is very conveniently located. The hotel reminds me of a dormatory. The room was listed with a balcony, there was none but did have a huge picture window. Bed was springy and sheets were stained. WiFi went out a lot for long periods. They don’t want people flushing toilet paper. Free snacks and drinks on the second floor and umbrellas are at the main door which was helpful for rainy days.

Cho Hotel is really quite a great place to stay. The rooms aren’t huge but they are big enough. The bang for your buck is really what this place brings. It’s charming, it’s quaint and offers a lot of great freebies like unlimited cup noodles, snacks and drinks as well as free diy laundry. I gave it 5* for everything except overall which I gave a 4* and that’s purely because I believe the rooms could use a mattress upgrade and also add some shelving for some storage space for your belongings. Everything else in the room was fantastic and we would definitely stay here again!

The location was super convenient, leading to the heart of ximending within a couple of minutes walking. Staff were lovely upon check in and the minibar with free noodles and free snacks was a cherry on top to rest and eat after a long day of exploring. Highly recommend this hotel if you are wanting to stay in a convenient location in Taipei!

Service was kind and they offer free snacks, instant noodles, and sodas/teas/juices. That was great. The room was very clean/tidy overall, but they have a severe humidity and mold problem. There was a dehumidifier in the room on our arrival and it collected several liters each day. Despite this and running the AC, the room felt more humid than outside, and there was a black mold growing on all walls of the room, pipe insulation, and in caulk lines and between tiles of the bathroom. Due to the mold, we would not return.

I made my reservation through Expedia using my Amex. It seems like the hotel doesn’t take Amex. The hotel reached out last minute saying they will cancel my reservation unless I provide another payment method. I had to give them my credit card details via email. In terms of the actual stay, I could barely sleep for 4 nights because of poor sound proofing. The door did not block any noise at all. I could hear everything and every conversation happening in the hallway. The room also wasn’t that clean - there were strands of hair and other dirt in the room. Amenities like snack bar and free laundry are great but good luck using the dryer as it is always occupied.

On second floor had communal room with micro wave but the surprise was all the snacks and coffee and tea facilities one evening there were even sandwiches(may me because it was chinese new year or maybe the rest of stay didnt have them because they were all eaten or it was holidays after new year)but snick supply was very generous

Well, it’s probably my fault for booking this one. Wanted a place with some character and a little different from the regular ‘chains’ I am usually using while traveling for work. However, it wasn’t to my standards as it’s probably a place that is more suitable for backpackers or hostel type crowd.
Also a little misleading in their description …
From a “Welcome drink” that never happened to “city view” room that faces a wall … to a room with no closet and no safe. Everything is very basic.
(And I did book the most upgraded room)
Location is good, staff is young and friendly
Again, it is what it is - just not for me.

The front desk staff is wonderfully helpful and courteous. Two times they helped us out to our taxi and helped us communicate with the taxi driver to make sure we got to our location. Traditional Chinese breakfast steps away from the hotel and shopping and restaurants all over. Great location and close to Taipei Station. There was some mildew or mold on the blinds, and the grout could be cleaner in the bathroom, but the bed was clean and comfortable. The amenities and snacks on the floor are great. We enjoy sitting in the lounge area with vintage decor.

The staff is really friendly and warm and the amenities are wonderful, especially the snacks on the second floor; however, the room felt really cramped and when I cleaned the phone with disinfectant wipes, I got a lot of dirt. The carpet is a little dirty, and there is no luggage rack, so it’s kind of awkward with two suitcases on the floor and no place to move around. The location is super convenient. We will give it another try next week in a different room and see how it goes

饭店很复古，靠近西门町，喜欢古代风尚的旅客，可以选择住宿这。可是房间很小，设备很简单，没有衣橱也没有沙发或桌子。可是有吃不完的传统零食。

If you are someone who love retros, and looking for convenience, this hotel will suit you as they are located at Ximen MRT and walking distance to Ximending. However, the room is very small with very basic amenities such as bed and bath room. There is no proper table and sofa and if you have big luggage, you may need to find your space to open the luggage.

The style of Cho Hotel is in keeping with the nostalgic feel of the Ximen area, but is clean and well run with helpful staff. I also appreciated the use of key cards to enter the lobby to the second building and the elevators. My room was exactly what I needed for one person and was relatively quiet. The Cho hotel exceeded our expectations with its exceptionally clean and comfortable bed and room. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, exuding a vintage vibe that perfectly matched the hotel’s aesthetic. I particularly enjoyed the second level, where complimentary snacks and instant noodles were available. I want to give special recognition to Haru, one of the staff members, for her quick assistance in arranging airport transfer when another booking was suddenly unavailable. Her thoughtfulness and care for our safety during a rushed situation were greatly appreciated. I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again.

It was an amazing experience.
It was Mama and Papa Asia Trip. From Singapore to Thailand to Taiwan. Of course not all planned vacation is perfect. So on our way to Taipei we couldn’t make the flight from Hongkong ( layover). I immediately called Cho Hotel and explained what happened. I was speaking to Haru who is very accommodating and understanding. With no hesitation she told me that she will talk to her supervisor about the situation and will get back with me. It didn’t took that long for her to respond. She did above and beyond with my reservations. Special shout out to Haru’s supervisor for approving our request. Sorry we didn’t get the chance to meet as we have the tour the next day.

That didn’t end there. As we checked in we were greeted with the warmest welcome by Haru and Anna. And guest what we even got upgraded room how amazing was that. They are the friendliest hotel staff we encountered throughout our Asia trip.

Now let me talk about the hotel. If you’re into boutique style this is your best place. Each corner of this hotel is very unique with all their boutique decor. From the lobby to your room. Did I mention that they have washer and dryer for free. All you need to do is bring you dirty clothes and laundry them. Also did I mention they have unlimited snacks on the second floor. It’s filled with varieties of ramen, juices, ice cream, cookies, chips, etc.Checking out was smooth thanks to Anna. I highly recommend this Hotel. We’re definitely coming back.
