The staff were good and the room was clean. Only reason for the poor review was the bed and pillows were super hard. I had great trouble sleeping. I kept waking up with my back and neck hurting and one time woke up with my wrist hurting. Worst sleep ever unfortunately

Wifi was terrible and kept dropping out...they need to invest in better connectivity for guests. The breakfast room on floor 2 had what appeared to be a temporary ceiling with plastic sheeting. Close location to Shin Osaka station - would suggest they publicise better instructions on how to exit complex station as multiple lines transact this station.

We (2 adults 2 kids) stayed one night in between travelling. We had a triple single room and the armchair folded out to a single bed which had been made up. The room was small but was perfect for what we needed. Bathroom and separate toilet were clean and quite spacious. Easy access to Shin-Osaka station and local convenience stores. Staff were friendly and efficient. Would recommend.

The single room costs 65 Canadian Dollars plus tax. Cannot go wrong with this price. Room size is reasonable and should have no problem to fully open the luggage. Toilet is surprising new. Not very High end toilet, but it is more than enough. Room is normal clean, except the floor is greasy.
The dark side is, There is no room service. Have to pack the garbage and leave it on the door each morning. No staff will enter your room to clean or grab garbage. Have to write a small paper to front desk in order to get towel. No bottle water is provided. The bedroom has no city view, or river view.
If, you are living here for 1 to 3 nights, This is the best choice since you won't need that much room service.
Plenty of restaurant is around the area, 7 minutes of walking to Shin Osaka Station. There is a laundry shop 2 minutes away.
This hotel is much better than other inn.
Again, Save the money by living in this hotel, and spend that money on Umeda Shopping District.

The staff are the saving grace for this hotel. At all times we found to super courteous and helpful. However we paid for breakfast included and can report that although this was an array of reasonably tasty food, the whole lot was served stone cold at 6:30 am!! We were there for two day's and this happened both days. Also by Japanese standards the hotel was dirty and smelt slightly of urine.

Stayed four nights, check-in was easy with english speaking staff. Property was clean, quiet and very comfortable on my stay. There is only one shared microwave in the lobby if you need to reheat food but there are many 7-11, Lawsons and Family Mart close by, but the main draw was the close proximity to the Shin-Osaka Train station which makes getting around very easy. Recommended and will stay here again in the future.

The hotel room is so small , we can’t move around . We stayed at other hotels in Japan with about the same price , but this is below average. The hotel vibe is not very welcoming , it feels a little “dingy”. The only good thing is that it’s close to the train station , and 7/11. So it’s fine for 1 night , not more .

Staff was excellent in every way. One showed me how to use the washing machine which had Japanese instructions. They gave us directions, called a cab for us, got us extra towels, and helped us in other ways.
The hotel is easy walking distance to both the major Shin Osaka Train station and the city metro.

Lovely stay at Sarasa Hotel Shin-Osaka

I was very happy with my stay at SARASA HOTEL Shin-Osaka. I stayed for three nights. My room was lovely and bigger than expected. It was clean and comfortable and had a small refrigerator. A sleep shirt and robe were also provided. The bathroom was a good size. I had breakfast at the hotel; it is a small buffet with both Asian and Western options. Same as a lot of hotels, depending on what time you arrive, the buffet can be very crowded but I did not have any issues.
As a solo female traveller, I felt comfortable at the hotel and getting to and from the hotel to trains. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood is quieter than downtown Osaka which I enjoyed as I found many parts of Osaka to be crowded and overwhelming. It was nice to return to a quieter part of town. There are small restaurants around the hotel serving delicious food as well as dining options in the train station. Transport links are excellent. I would stay again if ever in Osaka.

Like the room and bed was a little larger than most hotels of the same type in Japan. Bed was more of a queen size than a double and there was more room to place luggage. Bathroom was nicer and less cramp than most hotels in Japan. Close to Shin Osaka station, easy to walk to with luggage

The hotel is 5 minutes walkable from Shin-Osaka station which was really convenient for the bullet train, limousine bus and trains. The area was okay, if you want restaurant options you have to go to Shin-Osaka station (they have a LOT of restaurants and bentos). The room and small but duable. What I didn’t like was the fact that you had to write on a piece of paper what amenities you need which I found weird and room service didn’t exist in this hotel. If you’re staying here for a few days I recommend it but if you’re here for more than a week, I’d recommend to look elsewhere.

It took a bit to find even with all the preparations I did beforehand to read the maps and comments from other previous guests. But once you managed to find it, it's really more convenient than you think! (it's actually google maps trolling me that night when I arrived making it way more complicated than it should be)

I was there for 9 nights, it was quiet and the room I was in was more than spacious enough for a solo traveler. The only thing I would have like is that there's like some kind of humidifier instead of just a dehumidifier for the room. It was pretty dry, I unfortunately caught a bad cold while I was there and the dryness didn't really help me at night when sleeping.

10/10 will stay again if I'm back at Osaka or even just the same property in another location.

Comfortable Stay And Convenient Location

The hotel is only within a 10-minutes walk from the Shin Osaka Station - for both the Shinkansen and Midosuji lines. Although the location is not in downtown Osaka, it is a good \"staging\" point to go to the downtown area as well as to take the connecting direct shinkansen service to Kyoto and Kansai Airport.

The room is relatively compact and comfortable.

Overall, this hotel was a good pick. I chose it for its close distance to the Shin-Osaka station for the Shinkansen and local trains and to the Midosuji subway line. You pass two 7-11 convenience stores en route and it is close to several restaurants. The Shin-Osaka station has many restaurants and grift shops also. The staff were extremely kind and helpful and are able to send luggage for a fee and store luggage if you need. The room is slightly small but was ok since all we do is sleep and bath there. The room is fitted with body soap, shampoo, conditioner, Kleenex, toothbrushes, and a hairbrush so no need to bring any with you. The hotel has two laundry machines for use so you can wash your clothes as needed. Had I known, I would not have brought so much clothing. The one and only small negative thing I can say about the room was the pullout single bed-couch. We are a family of four and got a room with four singles. The pullout had a very thin padding on top of a wooden pullout.. I sat on it and it was hard and not comfy. The other three beds were great but I hope that the hotel changes that fourth bed. All in all, it was great room.

Pros: Staff was nice, location is very near to Shin-osaka station using exit 6 (osaka metro), surrounding by convenient stores and 3-4 restaurant (as i saw) but you can find more restaurants in Shin-Osaka station. Good for tourists who use both JR pass and Kansai thru pass. Breakfast was great but need more variety in each day. There is a mobile phone with internet and free of charge while you stay too. The room was cleaned and amenities was refilled every day.
Cons: there are 2 washing machines for customers >> it's not enough, No free drinking water.

Nice, modern and clean hotel (still new). Room was nice, including bathroom.
Perhaps less suitable for business travelers as the desk in the room was very small.
Breakfast was a bit average and JPY 1000 is a rather much for what is offered. If booked with the room, breakfast is cheaper.

We were a bit surprised to encounter a communication barrier with the front desk staff, especially in such a new hotel in a very central location with many tourists (no English). They also sent us to parking garages that were more expensive than one we ended up finding for ourself. Overall nice stay.

Room was well laid out and very well equipped with everything you might need. Clean and nice, though some noise from nearby building work was a shame. Headboard was also a bit low and by window so hard to sit up in bed. Staff were lovely, let me into my room when I arrived early for check in and were very attentive at breakfast.

This is a brand new hotel so everything is as expected to be new and clean. The room is surprisingly big as we were expected to see a much smaller room; therefore, we are very happy with this. The staff are very friendly and the buffet breakfast is great.The location is fairly close to Shin-Osaka station. The only minor issues we came across is there is no on site laundry. However, there is a coin laundry service within a minute walk from the hotel but it is very outdated and dingy. Overall, we had a great experience staying at this hotel and we would definitely visit again.

2階に朝食を取りに行ったところ、海外の方で列をなしていて入るのに時間がかかる模様。また、チェックアウトを控えて、小さめのキャスターも転がして行ってたが、一階のフロントに預けてこいとの指示。フライトの時間があるので持ち込みたいと言っても、ダメとのこと。海外も含めて様々なホテルに泊まったが、荷物の持ち込みがダメと言われたことはなかった。入れそうにもなく、時間もなく、対応も不満であったので、朝食代を支払っていたが、食べずにチェックアウトした。
