Small Rooms near Train Station

The Hotel is near a train station, and not too far to walk to Shin-Osaka station. The room is small.
The major complain I had for this hotel is that we booked our hotel for 10 nights with breakfast at Hotels.com, but when we are going to check-in they only gave us 1 day free breakfast since they're policy is 1 day free on each stay (regardless how long it will be). So for the whole 10 days of stay we were able to get 1 free breakfast.If you want to take there breakfast you have to pay.

Overall great hotel for our one night stay, just across the street to the train station. Clean and spacious room for a party of 3 people with nice amenities. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance which was very convenient. The front desk was courteous and allowed us to store our luggage after check out for a couple hours.

Staffs are friend and helpful. Room was kept clean daily and supplied with cleans towels. Although room is small which can only open 2 mid size luggages. The convenience of 2 train station (Hankyu & Osaka Metro) but train and train crossing warning can be heard in early morning which can disturb sleep.

Really good location！！！Transportation is excellent, few stops to shopping area, and is concenience to Kyoto. 24 hour supermarket and convenience stores are nearby, can buy food anytime. Room is not big but can find every thing you need, will stay again if travel to Osaka

Good budget hotel in a.neighbourhood with plenty of little eating and drinking options. Staff get helpful. Right next to 2 train lines with plenty of options. Rooms slightly bigger than the Japanese standard size (tiny).

We had asked for early check in as we were on overnight bus from Hakuba arriving into Osaka at 6am. Request was for around lunch time which was not accommodated, 3pm was check in time. Triple room very small with 3rd single bed bring a couch, very uncomfortable for person over 2 meters tall. Room very tired but bathroom quite okay. Not vacuumed from last guests as nuts were all over the floor. Bedding uncomfortable as it was like a bedcover with frills again leaving you short of adequate cover being tall. Staff were friendly and helpful all in all but very limited English which is always a fun experience.

Very bad wifi

No wifi signal in room 530. Phoned staff they said they can't help with it. They said if it was other rooms they may install a portable wifi router in room but my room Isn't \"capable \" of installing it either. I asked to switch room but they asked me to go to lobby for wifi instead.
Breakfast had lots selection and tasty
Room very dated and dirty and molding in wall and bathroom. Shower curtain stinked.

The WiFi didn't work, the TV didn't work, there was a stain that looked like blood on the curtain near the bed... but, the staff were nice enough. Particularly the cleaning ladies who seemed to get a kick out of us greeting them in Japanese in the morning. The hotel decor and facilities need a bit of a revamp - they feel very 80s, particularly when compared to the APA hotel we had just come from, but this one was quite a bit cheaper. Had the WiFi and TV worked, I might have given it an extra star.

Great location and facilities

So glad I chose this hotel , it was a wonderful location and clean as a whistle , facilities such as coin laundry and a 7/11 across the street that sells anything you need.

The main subway line is 20 metres from the door and the Hankyu Kyoto line 50 metres away.

I would go back tomorrow no problem.

Disappointed !

The location is very nearby subway which is the only advantage. The hotel is old and outdated. Staffs almost doesn't (or pretend doesn't) speak English. Room is sooo small, it was difficult for only 2 to move around. Basically no amenities at all. Wifi DOESN'T WORK! When we complaint about this, they asked us to come down lobby to use wifi instead fixing the room wifi for us☹️. I think their room rate is way too expensive than their service provided.

To put it bluntly, the only good thing about this hotel were the courteous staff.

Outside of that, the room was disgusting. The walls were cracking, paint was peeling, and there was mold in the ceiling corners. The room (and the hotel as a whole) had a permeating stench of cigarettes despite us being in a non smoking room. Our room had a giant wall patch on it that was also peeling, which looked like it was held on with tape. The furniture was falling apart. The bathroom was noticeably dated and in desperate need of an update. The bidet didn't always work properly until we simply gave up on using it altogether.

The duvet was archaic and covered in stains.

Breakfast buffet was ok, however I would recommend on avoiding it. Given the state of the rooms I can only imagine what the kitchen looked like.

Poor hotel staff to assist guest! I was asking help to for airport transfer on the day of my departure! Actually I'm with a family of 5 ! Train would be fine but with small kids!
They immediately tell me that they are not allow to call in my behalf ! I told them the numbers I've called don't speak English! They just smile !
Would they have known that a limousine. Us to the airport is very accessible from the hotel! ......... not good for family!!

This hotel is very close to Nishinakajimaminamigata station, about 1 min walk.
I stayed 6 nights with my husband and feel very pleasant with this hotel.
All facilities make me comfortable and convenience. Inside the room is very clean.

This hotel is located right across the street from the subway, and 1 stop away (north) is the Shin-Osaka Railway / Shinkansen station for 180 yen. Catching the subway in the southward direction, the Dotonbori district is 280 yen away. Very convenient!
In the same area within 1-5 minute walking distances are MANY restaurants. So lots of dining options nearby and interspersed with bars and \"relaxation\" lounges. Later in the evening there are men pushers trying to entice people to these clubs. But other than this mid distraction, being in Japan, walking around in the evening felt pretty safe.
The hotel facilities are kind of dated, aging, but generally kept in very clean condition. The staff were helpful, polite and spoke passable English that was very understandable. There is a buffet breakfast for 1000 yen, that had very decent, Japanese style breakfast food for the price.
The hotel caters to a lot of Japanese business people, which is apparent when you eat breakfast at the buffet. So because of this high business clientele, during the entire 1 week stay, it was VERY quiet on the floor. (Only noise was from the trains passing by the hotel.)
Definitely will consider this place again in the future if I'm looking for a budget hotel with no frills.

Hotel is in a convenient location, right across the street from the subway. This same subway takes you to the Namba / Dotonburi district (280 yen) and other places like Umeda. Pay 180 yen and Shin-Osaka Station is 1 stop away. There are many restaurants close by within walking distance within 1-5 minutes away. Being Japan, we felt safe walking around at night. However there are \"relaxation lounges\", massage parlors and similar, and later in the evenings, got people trying to entice (men) people in. Other than this mild distraction, the location is pretty good.
The hotel facilities is a little dated, but the inside is clean, much cleaner than one would expect in America. (Japanese standards are pretty high). There is a restaurant serving a breakfast buffet for 1000 yen and it is really decent. Everything except the fish (seemed a little dry ... in a warmer?) was good. Wifi on the bottom floors was good, however with me on the 8th floor, the connection was spotty.
But for the price, I can't complain. Staff was courteous, spoke English fairly well and understandable. Would stay again if I'm searching for a budget hotel.

Overall the staying experience is good. I could still remember vividly that I was warmly welcomed by the staff albeit in japanese language when I first entered the hotel lobby and this is a quite a big surprise for me who was the first time visitor of japan. The check in was fast with few simple identification procedures and the front counter don't even require my printed hotel booking confirmation for check-in-purpose. The hotel was very near to the subway station and could be found easily.

Good - The hotel is right beside a train station. There are some delicious food places very near by.

Bad - Depending on your sensitivity to small places, you may wish to consider elsewhere. I am am over 6ft and had to crouch down all the hallways; my girlfriend is 5\"4 and she was close to some of the beams. The room was tiny, barely room to walk around the bed, and the window looked onto a brick wall. Fine for falling into bed late and leaving early, but worth knowing.

If it's important to you, the wifi was patchy at best.

We have a short trip stayed for 3 nights with total 3 person. The hotel room is a bit smaller than expected, but it is Japan... no compliant. The ceiling is low, not recommend if you are 6 feet taller. Hotel provides free underground parking, but the parking already closed when we arrived at 1:00am. There is meter parking available right by hotel, very convenient.

Hotel Mongerot is good location for hotspring bath

Hotel staff was rude and chased me out by opening hotel exit door on 2nd night of my Mongerot stay (6 Nov 2016). She refused to believe that I'm a hotel guest until I brought the counter staff to her and then she apologized. I told her I'm unhappy. My 9 days Japan holidays is entirely spoilt by Hotel Mongerot hostile service. I'll never book hotel with Agoda until I get satisfactory answer to this unhappy experience.

Just look at the picture of the room they gave us, would you be happy with that? Absolutely disgusting....stains all over the walls, dirt along all the edges of carpet and everything was yellowed from years of neglect.

We really regretted staying here, don't do it.

Very good location for sight seeing around KANSAI.

I choose this hotel from reservation with airline because it is nearby the railway station. There are many kinds of rooms to choose from budget up to family room. No need to find another hotel for the famous cities nearby. You do not waste time for check in check out along the trip. If you want to stay in the same room, suggest complete reservation at one time.

Hotel was ok but limit with English. We stayed for 6 night and one day they clean our room but did not lock our door!!!
When we tried to tell them be careful and they did not understand what was the problem and kept asking me why they did not lock our room. When that time we were really mad. Lucky we did not lose anything but who know next time may got someone walk into the room and took the Ipad and other stuffs. I never stay at any hotel and they forgot to lock my door!!!

Nice hotel close to a main line

Comfortable air conditioned hotel with a exceedingly nice staff. It's pretty much what you'd expect from a typical Japanese business hotel that is neither rundown nor extravagant. Though it's quite a ways from Kansai International, it's very close to the center of Osaka, including Dotonbori and other shopping/ tourist areas.
