We chose this hotel because it was advertised as pet friendly, and we were told in advance that pets should not be left alone for long periods, with a local dog sitter service recommended for longer outings.

As this was our babymoon getaway, we wanted to make sure everything went smoothly and followed the hotel’s guidance carefully by arranging the hotel-recommended dog sitter so our dog was supervised the entire time we were out.

Despite this, we later received complaints about barking when guests walked past the room, and only after that were we sent a much stricter pet registration form that had not been clearly communicated during booking or check-in. When reviewing the hotel website, I could not find the same wording or level of detail in their published pet policy.

The timing made it feel more like a warning than a supportive, solution-focused approach, especially since we had already arranged the hotel-recommended dog sitter and were actively trying to be responsible pet guests.

To be fair, the hotel later clarified that the barking occurred mainly when guests walked past the door and noted that “these things happen.” However, the experience left us feeling quite stressed and overly cautious for the rest of our stay, especially given the high-traffic location near the elevator.

The hotel itself is lovely, but it may not be the most relaxed option for dog owners, particularly for dogs sensitive to hallway activity.

The hotel is very well maintained.. clean rooms and comfy bed. We enjoyed the location for it being quieter. Pool and hot tub are nice however small. Underground parking is nice aswell however does not accommodate large vehicles. We really enjoyed the front desk staff and appreciated a hand written welcome card and bottle of wine.
We will stay here again.

We didn't have a view. Outdoor pool hot tub jets didn't work. My granddaughter of 18mths picked up a dirty bandaid in our room not impressed. The front staff were very friendly but double charged a night for myself and my daughter's room. They were very confused and took some time to figure out their mistake. I am sure there has been other guests with the same surname! Sorting it out was annoying and time consuming.

Had a fantastic stay at Summit Lodge Boutique Hotel. Such a great little boutique hotel in an excellent location, close to everything but still cozy and relaxing. The staff were genuinely amazing and made the whole experience even better. The hotel is incredibly well maintained, very comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great getaway. What was presented on this app was better than what we walked into. The one young man had some vitality to him everyone else was looking miserable and though they were not a fan of their job. We received little instruction on parking but got dinged 24 a day to park in what can only be a dirty creepy storage unit. The signage is minimal. The staff down there seemed bothered when asked for help - which was not a great start. We asked for luggage carts none existed as we learned they were just left all over the hotel and the staff didn’t touch it. Our room was fine. At first glance. Decorated uniquely. The first notice was a bed that felt like a rock. The second was pulling out the pull out couch that was broken and a cheap mattress that hurts your back on it. Not the comfortable stay alleged. The windows couldn’t be opened due to the activities of guests outside until about 2 am and visiting children’s groups that the hotel didn’t put any boundaries on for screaming running in halls and causing havoc. After staying at this hotel there’s strange stains on things just not - a great scene. And we left after night one: I do not recommend. I stay in Whistler a lot this is not even worthy of a four star rating.

Pleasant staff and great location. Everything is walkable - however, it was just a little too far to the ski lifts in ski boots for me. They have their own free shuttle bus, but I just rented skis from somewhere closer to the lifts, and then changed my boots/shoes there. There is no boot drying room in the hotel, which surprised me. As a European skier, I’m used to these being pretty standard in hotels. Soggy cold boots were a little frustrating each morning.

The rooms themselves are excellent, with lovely toiletries, and everything you could possibly need. Comfortable bed, all very clean, and serviced well each day.
The little kitchen is a great bonus. I made breakfast every morning and then ate out in the evening. There’s a fantastic supermarket directly opposite.

My only issue was noise. I had no issues from outside, but the internal room doors have zero soundproofing so you can hear absolutely everything.

There is no restaurant, but you are spoiled for choice in the town centre. Balam and Araxi were my personal favourites.

The room was a little small but very clean and functional. We were there for 10 days so could have done with a touch more storage but it worked. The kitchen is great and allowed us to have breakfast in everyday. The cleaning staff were incredibly efficient and our sheets were changed frequently. The hot tub is very warm and has a lot of chlorine in it which discoloured my suit but it was lovely after a day on the slopes. The shuttle bus was always there when we needed it and staff were friendly and helpful.

A couple minor issues. The parking spaces are very tight, and the sauna takes about an hour to heat up, so it would be better if it stayed on instead of needing to be turned on each time.

Small concerns overall, I would definitely recommend the Summit.

It was a nice hotel. Shuttle was always running back and forth to the slopes. Grocery store is across the street! Thought I would have a larger fridge. Lots of space, for one person. I think 2-persons would've fit well. Shower was ok. Liked the option to store snowboard/ski’s. Sauna did not get hot enough. 🙁 Spa being so close was helpful! Front desk staff were always very helpful!

The hotel is excellent. Hotel and rooms look new and well-maintained. Location is prime, next to a groceries store, restaurants, stores, and walking distance to the ski area. They don’t offer breakfast, which is a downside but with a mini-kitchen and restaurants/groceries nearby, it is easily manageable. We loved the stay and would certainly consider staying there on a future trip.

This was our second time at the Summit Lodge after loving it so much last year, we booked there again!! We love this property. It’s clean, very comfortable, nice staff at check-in, pleasant and professional cleaning crew, cool shuttle drivers, warm facility, and good vibes overall! They had some hot water issue during our stay (2 days) but we were notified in advance of arriving, so we came mentally prepared. Staff handled the situation with care and fixed the issue during the day while we were on the slopes. We were inconvenienced one night (no hot water) but managed to heat up water on stove to still take a tiny shower. These things happen and did not stop us to still enjoy our stay at this facility. We will be back for sure!

On a related note, we found out that the Lodge actually credited us one night on our stay for the hot water inconvenience. This goes to show how considerate management is at this facility. It shows through the employees too!

This place was excellent. Location was good and the shuttle service to and from the mountain were excellent. Unfortunately the hot water system broke during our stay, the hotel worked to repair it quickly, but the system was unable to provide a hot shower for two evenings in a row. (by morning the hot water recovered enough to take a shower.) The view was great. The skiing and snowboarding was excellent

Great stay. The room was very comfortable with a lil kitchen and fridge. The staff was very attentive and responsive. We brought our dog and they gave us a bowl and her a toy! It was cute. There was storage for our snowboards and a shuttle to the mountain. Great location, good restaurants nearby and some grocery stores nearby. We had a view of the hot tub which was helpful for knowing when it was less crowded. Would stay here again for sure

This was a wonderful and conveniently located hotel in the heart of Whistler Village. We were able to check in early and were welcomed with a bottle of red wine and a personalized card in our room as I am an Expedia VIP member. The amenities included a hot tub, heated pool, and dry sauna. Lots of restaurants and shops around. My family and I will definitely come back.
