My son and I stayed one night on Easter Weekend on our way through the area. I've stayed in Whistler many other times in a tent and a travel trailer and had much more restful sleeps! For a kitchenette unit, it had almost no useful dishes (including no coffee cups for the coffee maker!), there was no blanket for the sofa bed for my son and we were woken up repeatedly by loud sounds starting at 4:30am. These issues would have been annoying but what kicked this review all the way down to 1-star is the complete lack of follow-up from the hotel on all of my inquiries to reduce the room fee - the immediate response at the front desk was polite and understanding but directed me to an email address. Several emails later, not one has been returned. I've called several times and have only had the phone answered once. Other times it has rang dozens of times, then someone picks up and hangs up! Absolutely HORRENDOUS customer service. Will never stay here again.

They are trying hard to keep the Village's first hotel up to date, and it's a great value with kitchenettes in the rooms and clean indoor pool & hot tub, all right in the middle of the upper village.

Checkout is early at 10am and overnight parking expires at 11am, so if you hit the slopes after checkout, purchase more parking time from the machine or front desk.

Walking distance to skiing gondola. However, there was in incident happened when we stayed. There were loud drilling and nailing noise very close to our room at midnight, 4 am and 5 am. That loud noise woke us up several times. Not sure if it’s part of the property’s problem. It’s a problem for us to return to this property though.

It was clean only dishwasher had dirty glasses and cups when moved in. Only two towels even though we booked for 3 ppl. No service was provided tried to get some more towels in the morning and could not reach reception for 1hr after went down and no one was there. Had to go to pool and find some fresh towels there.

Location is amazing, it is right across the bus stop and everything else like bars, restaurants, lifts are walking distance. Front desk was very friendly and helpful, check in and check out were seamless. The hotel has space to leave your bags after check out (for an additional cost) which is super convenient if you're planning on catching the bus later. The room was very clean and big, I had a balcony with the view of the village, super cute. I will definitely be returning!

I tried to pay my last day parking at the fron desk twice. Did not get a clear explanation why not. I went down in the morning prior to skiing, nobody there. I wnet agaiin a half hour later noboday there. The manager got mad at me when I told him it would be nice have some service.

The entire week, I got one change of towels. He blamed me for not answering my hotle phone, how could I , I was out skiing, He could have called my cell phone or left me a text message. Wow, not very good service from the weekend manager.

Avoid staying here at all cost. It is easily the worse hotels in Whistler that I stayed at - and I’ve stayed in hostels there! From the pile of garbage that greets you in the parking garage, to the dilapidated doors and hallways that
Lead to the front desk/ the entire way in just gets worse.

The front desk clerk was rude and appears as though they could care less about anything and especially you. I wrote them at check it and they have yet to respond.

The room is beyond terrible and we payed for the king and double twin. It has not been upgraded since maybe the 1980s? Broken light switches, rust and mold in the bathroom, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, a tarp keeping rain out on the roof, I could go on and on. What is that smell in the hallway? To top it off - the beds have not been replaced in what I am guessing is more than ten years. There is literally a divot in the mattress where people sleep and springs to greet your back in the bottom. It is truly shocking how bad of an experience this was for an $800 per night room. I hope this review and pictures help our people in finding anywhere else to stay.

The man in the front was so unfriendly and disrespectful. Every guest was talking about him that he is Hitler. He was bothering all the guests with unneccesary questions. He stopped my children at 11 pm. He started a conversation about they are not allowed to leave the hotel past 12 and they should be sleeping. Its not his business where my children go. I had given them permission to get ice cream. Upon checkout, I confronted him about this. He started yelling and saying that i got a discount on my second room. He also said i should be grateful for that. He denied approaching my children Overall, the hotel is nice. But i will not be returning to this horrific customer service.

Argued with every single person in line to check in over any number of things while making sure to impose fees on every infraction all while reading you the riot act on how and why he will kick you out.

Poorly maintained and poorly managed. Hot water boiler failed on day two so whole hotel had no hot water for four days. Manager strung us along each day saying next day for sure, presumably so that we would not check out. No discount or compensation offered and manager argued when we asked for one. Not even a free hot chocolate when we came in off the slopes. Bare bones, no frills and clearly run on a shoestring by cheapskates. Grubby grout in the shower, grubby orange scum in shower curtain easily washed off in the machine if any care was taken. Dingy, dated decor. Rusting water fountain by the pool. Pool door lock not working and door sticking. Very poor value for a lot of money. Needs refurbishing and new management team. Awful. Please help us secure some compensation. We do not want an upgrade next time - we will never be going back and we want money back. US$10k for one week for two rooms is a lot of money. We should have at least 20% off for each of the four days without hot water.

The hotel did not have hot water since the boiler was broke. The room was very smelly and bathroom was full of mold in shower. Super noisy at night since there are many bars which play loud songs till 11 PM every night.

Great location, staff was friendly. It's definitely an older lodge which explains why it was much cheaper than similar properties. Owner is a bit over the top with the constant reminders about the rules and calling out that they have cameras. Heater didn't work above 65F and we had to ask twice for some sort of fix so that our ski gear would dry overnight.(Finally got a space heater, which we appreciated as it was 12F overnight). Wifi router behind TV glowed VERY bright blue all night until we stuck a towel back there to be able to sleep. Despite the faults , we liked the place for what it is and would consider staying here again.

I had the worst experience of my life at this hotel. I will never recommend this hotel for anyone, especially if I love them.

They charged an arm and a leg for everything including parking, taxes and extra fees. Then they towed my car amd blamed me for it. The next morning, the old guy was yelling at me about he parking. After the 8am morning experience, we checked out by 9:30 am the first day. We booked for 3 days.

He made disrespectful remarks to my son when he brought the trolley back after checking in about no partying and no unwanted guests.
After all that, they refuse to reimburse me for any part of my trip for the terrible experience, instead threatening me with lawyers.

I contacted expedia and had no help in getting any reimbursement. I will never use expedia nor will i ever stay at Blackcomb Lodge. I will tell my family and friends to also never do the same.

We booked a one night stay in August for early December, and 23 days before our reservation, I tried to cancel due to an unforeseen situation. I called multiple times, about five times, but was told the manager was unavailable each time. Even Expedia could not help because the manager was not present. Due to this lack of support, we had to continue with the trip, and thankfully a friend covered the cost of the other room.
We arrived early due to heavy rain and requested early check-in, only to be told it costs 50$.
During check-in, hidden charges were added because Expedia supposedly does not collect them. Guests should be informed beforehand. Clearly no transparency here

The hotel charges for almost everything. Our room, meant for six people, was for three, yet we were charged 58 dollars extra despite trying to register an additional guest beforehand. Basic supplies were laughably small — barely any soap, lotion, shampoo, or hand wash.
To make matters worse, a friend trying to come in and wait at the common area due to rain was shouted at by a staff member at the door, allegedly the manager, and said my friend is not allowed inside at all.
Parking was inflexible, expensive, and without day-pass for the amount of 34$ .

Overall, the hotel feels cheap, unfriendly, and focused on squeezing money from guests rather than providing hospitality. Please find another place and save yourself headaches. Definitely not recommended.

The front desk guy is really intense. I could tell he is the owner. He does treat you like youre checking in to jail instead of a hotel you are paying for. He makes you sign off on every single rule and theres little charges for every single thing.

He also RAN out to the parking lot to greet us and it felt odd because his energy was very frenetic. He thought we were parking without paying and he was ready to confront us about it until he realized we were actual guests. The rules of the hotel are also posted EVERYWHERE its extremely bizarre.

The other staff seemed normal and chill. The room was nice with two balconies but yeah its old and needs work for sure ad is a little run down. Peeling paint and wallpaper and tape over the tiling in the bathroom etc.

The pricing was good, and the location is excellent. The owner started our trip off on a very weird vibe. So if youre cool with being treated like youre lucky to be allowed to be on the property and loudly verbally accosted and watched by the owner then yeah its fine to stay here.

I think if the owner stayed away and let his staff work for him the guests would have a better experience here.

The staff were very polite and friendly. I found the hotel itself run down and old, the room had a very strange arrangement with the TV on an inconvenient wall - difficult to see from the bed. My room was above the main village walkway and it was extremely loud until 3 am, making it difficult to sleep.

Was a problem with our room when we arrived. Staff were very apologetic and did what they could to accommodate. We were updated to a suite however it was very outdated with several issues in the room. The large mirror was broken. The built in microwave was broken- door wouldn’t close so the light in the microwave lit up the room all night. Was unable to access the cord to unplug it. The light in the bathroom buzzed every time it was turned on as it was ready to burn out. Balcony overlooked the busy part of the shopping area of Whistler village with a pub across the road. It was music and noise until 1am. If you want quiet, request a room away from shopping area. We were on a 10 day west coast trip and it was the only place we had to pay for parking which wasn’t cheap. Once again, staff were very good and worked hard to get us another room but had we got our first room, we would have been on the quiet side of hotel.

I was charged extra fees and staff at reservation desk said it is because I booked through Expedia. Also I was charged 250 $ as damage deposit. After one week I have to call them back to revert back my deposit. It took three days constant reminder calls to get money back . To keep my back bag before check in time they want me to charge extra as well. They gave me only two keys whereas we were three guests. The bed sheets were unclean and had some sort of stains were there. The pool area was also not well clean.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at Blackcomb Lodge in Whistler, and we can’t say enough about how accommodating and welcoming the staff were—especially Benny, the manager. From the moment we arrived, Benny went above and beyond to make our stay special.

He kindly upgraded us to a better room, which was a fantastic surprise and made our experience even more enjoyable. The room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing night in Whistler. On top of that, Benny also granted us a late check-out, giving us extra time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings without feeling rushed.

Customer service like this truly sets Blackcomb Lodge apart. Thank you, Benny, for your incredible hospitality—we'll definitely be back!

Benny was great and super friendly.

Apon getting to our room we discovered that the shower didn't drain properly after having a shower. It took a good 5 min for the warer to drain.
The headboard was super dusty and needed a good wipe down. The room needed a good paint job.
It was also very noisy from people outside in the village as well as people in the hotel u can hear in your room from other rooms and the hallway, AC didn't work well as well and it was super loud even with earplugs in.

The location was great but after that it was unfortunately not good. First, on arrival they announced they needed to charge us extra as the 3rd party we used undercharged us. Should not have been my issue. Next, the fridge in the room had had something left in it for a long time and the smell it left behind was awful. In the morning, there was ZERO iot water...at 6 am, and still noon at 6:30 nor 7. I called and all the extensions cut you off so you cant reach anyone. No one at the front desk but a jote to call a number for helo. No answer and no voice mail set up. My husband washed his hair with cold water and when he reached for a towel, realized they gave us nothing more than a hand towel. No bath towels in the room. Upon checkout, I emailed them and 3 days later, no one has bothered to respond. So very disappointed. I waited till today to post this hoping because I thought that if they reach out, i wouldnt.

The hotel was right in the central part of Whistler Village.
When we checked in & went to our room, we noticed the bathroom right away. The toilet paper roll was half empty, no face cloth(s) or hand towels. The only towels were two bath ones. There was no hand soap, shower gel or anything to use to wash up. Did the room even get properly cleaned? The balcony overlooked other roof tops of the hotel which were covered in trash and roofing material scraps. That was minor though.
The front desk brought most missing products up to us as soon as she could.

Wouldn’t stay here again personally.

Location is fantastic. You're right in the middle of everything. The room is adequate, however a lot of the kitchen is lacking standard amenities. Our kettle was rusted on the inside, no cutting board, no kitchen towels etc. Keeping the room a consistent temperature was difficult. We were either freezing or too hot. We got a great deal so it was fine for the weekend. Wouldn't actively seek to stay here again.

The overall property is fine, and we were upgraded to a nice king room with a full kitchen. The front desk staff were attentive; however, there weren't enough staff working, and the check-in took ~45 minutes. We were in a room facing the square and it was very loud at 2 AM until 3 AM. We also had a rowdy neighbour. The room was nice, and we appreciated the upgrade.

The room was ok except when we wanted to shower before check out there was no hot water. We were not greeted well when we complained about it. I was told I need to run the water and no one else in the hotel complained. The pool sauna and hot tub were ok but the men’s change room was a filthy disaster. Literally disgusting. They also tried to charge us $34 for parking for each motorcycle, even though they both fit in one spot. The hotel and area was extremely noisy all the time, even at night.

The location is great, with easy to access everywhere.The facilities at this hotel are outdated, and the towels provided were thin and rough. Compared to other hotels, the experience was disappointing. Although the hotel was not busy on the day of our arrival, we were still made to wait until 4 PM for check-in. In contrast, a hotel we stayed at just a week prior kindly offered us early check-in at no extra charge due to low occupancy.

Upon check-out, there was no staff at the front desk. I tried calling the number provided on the sign, but no one answered, so I had to do self check out It has now been nearly 20 days, and I still haven’t received my security deposit of CAD 250. For comparison, the previous hotel only required a CAD 100 deposit, which was refunded immediately after check-out. When I called to follow up, the staff simply said the refund is processed automatically and that they were unable to check the status.

Additionally, although I had fully prepaid for the stay through Expedia, I was still charged a resort fee of CAD 6.89 at the hotel. The explanation given was that the fee must be paid directly to the hotel, even though they acknowledged this was a duplicate charge. They told me to contact Expedia myself for a refund. I emailed Expedia, but have yet to receive a response.

I was charged an additional expense when checking in. I know this is typical with property fees, but that was already charged by Expedia. Moreover, Blackcomb couldn't explain what the additional expense was for (they changed their explanation several times - property fees vs. GST). Either way, its gouging!

Everyone was nice. I especially enjoyed talking to Rita. The location is excellent if you are skiing as the ski lifts to Whistler and Blackcombe lifts are a minute away. The buses from airport and Vancouver drop you off a minute away. Though in the very center of main village the hotel security is very good.
