It was quite last minute, which is why I was a bit limited in my room selection. I had a room directly opposite the front door, meaning I could hear people coming and going throughout the night. But there's not much to be done about that.
The room was well equipped.
Sadly, the carpet was awful. It was so dirty it turned the soles of my feet black. I even washed and dried them and walked on the carpet again just to check it wasn't anything to do with my shoes......but no......it's the carpet. I ended up wearing my shoes the whole time I was in the room when I wanted to walk about.
The fridge and cutlery draw was a bit grubby too.
The best part was the gentleman behind the reception counter. He's just lovely and very helpful.

Free onsite parking was a key drawcard. Staff were friendly and our one bedroom apartment had all the usual facilities. Bathroom sink was very tiny and only slightly deeper than the cabinet above. The bedroom was also quite narrow and only had room for one open suitcase. The apartment was located up two flights of stairs so may not suit those with heavy luggage! But these are all minor quibbles. Would happily stay there again.

This property was liveable, but it was disappointing to be welcomed by open windows on a 4 degree Melbourne night and a struggling heater. The smell of cigarettes smoked prior to us arriving permeated the room for the entire time we stayed. The bathroom having a heat lamp was a nice feature that was much appreciated during the coldest months.

▪Hot and cold water connections on kitchen sink are back to front.
▪Small 2 seater couch, certainly doesn't seat 4 people.
▪Internet wouldn't connect to phone or tablet
▪TVs ridiculously old, and no tv remote in bedroom.
▪︎No Netflix or even \"catch up\" TV available.
▪Couldn't connect our smart phones to any TV to watch our own streaming services.

The Studio Apartment was smalish as expected but you would have to move furniture around to have two people eating at the table and then put back to the wall to move around. The major flaw in my stay was the lack of ventilation in the kitchen area. I set the smoke alarm off and caused major concern for the rest of the people staying in the hotel (funny now) but people running about everywhere. Now it's not like i burned anything, it just the kitchen rangehood pumps back into the room (illegal) There is no flu plumed into the r/hood. So in short completely useless and you cant fry anything, pasta meals only if you plan to stay there and use the kitchen. ps the hotplate doesn't get hot enough to boil water. so maybe just uber eats

The apartment was in a very good location. It was comfortable, the beds were comfy too, which is important. North Melbourne is close to the hospital and a quick tram ride to the CBD. The local area has supermarkets and cafes. The staff were helpful and friendly. Our only issue was the cleanliness of the property when we arrived surfaces were dirty, door handles were grimy and the fridge had food remnants in it. The floors were sticky. We wiped everything down with antibacterial wipes and washed all the plates and cutlery.

The customer service was second to none, but once we entered the room it all went south. The room was not clean, the floor was filthy, so much so that we didn’t let our kids take their shoes off. The shower was broken and dirty, there was no toilet paper. No face washers or soap for showering / washing hands after using the bathroom. The kettle was burnt out. Considering this place advertised being close to the RCH, which is why we used them, I would hate to have had an immunocompromised child in that environment.
However, Due to the responsiveness and positive nature of the staff I am willing to try them again, but I will be asking them to ensure the room is clean and stocked.

Please don’t stay here, the lady was very rude and couldn’t keep our booking which we had paid for. We got a downgraded room for the same price. What a joke. Harrassed us and told us we were upgraded when it wasn’t. 1 king and 2 singles is not as good as 2 queen beds. Please we are not stupid. Also told us we’re lucky we don’t have to pay any more.

Unbeatable location when going to Royal Childrens Hospital (under 5 min walk). There had been some obvious attempts to update the property - new kitchens/washers/dryers etc but installation and cleanliness were lacking. Notices to say don't turn aircon under 22 or they leak or freeze / don't cook on high or smoke alarms go off / mismatahced laminex / marked walls / shower grout was just gross. Our room (13) had a terrible stale smoke odour that was through everything - not sure if previous guests smoked in the room or the laundry person is a chain smoker but even the pillows reeked. That aside the staff were the standout highlight of this place. Extremely helpful and informative and made you feel welcome straight away. If you needed somewhere for a week or so near the Royal Childrens the self contained aspect is a huge plus but perhaps for an overnight there are more comfortable options.

The check in was easy and fast. Dan was very helpful. The Apt was clean and good enough for a short stay just outside the CBD. There is a kitchenette for simple and light cooking. There is also a washing machine and dryer if you need do to laundry. The place is good if you drive and there's free parking. Nearest supermarket (IGA) is a distance away.

The building is old and worn. Basic maintenance has not been performed and cleaning is not to a commercial standard.The building has been given a quick coat of paint, but there are doors that do not close, sticky floors and many tripping hazards. Smoke detectors go off routinely.

The studio apartment was fine for my 3-night stay. The room was spotless, quiet, has plenty of storage room, WIFI access, faces into the sun and is comfortably furnished.
The bathroom basin was virtually inaccessible though as it was tucked underneath a cupboard but the kitchen had a large sink. Unfortunately the room looked directly onto a building site and was on a level with passing foot- traffic so I had to keep the blind lowered most of the time. I would happily stay there again though as I was not in the room much in the daytime.
The proprietor was really helpful in showing me the short- cut through to the RCH and I would definitely recommend staying there if you are making a Hospital visit.

With a sick child having an operation it was very handy for moving the family to the city for 4 days so we could all together. With 2 bedrooms, kitchen and mini laundry it was perfect.
