Such a nice staff and easy check in. Location is great and it’s easy to walk to different areas, like museum and the South Bank. Apartment was clean and there was even some laundry soap for the washing machine. They provide you with all the necessary things to get you started for a few days, which was appreciated. Nice balcony area. The couch was very, very small and very uncomfortable to sit on and the bed was okay. Linens and towels provided were nice. Thanks for our nice vacation!

Great location! Perfect for the BCEC. Clean, spacious and nice. Well appointed kitchen. Amenities complete and there were even thoughtful little touches like salt and pepper packets, milk and iced water in the fridge and even welcome cookies in the coffee station. Would definitely stay again

First impression was good, it looked a nice unit, but once we settled we noticed the furniture broken, couch one end was collapsed, dining chairs were unsafe to sit on they were loose, curtains torn, the bed was so bad we could feel and hear the springs, the floors were not clean, stove had food crumbs on it, shower was not clean, when informed reception they were very apologetic and offered to clean, cleaner came late that day walked into bathroom strayed something in the shower and walked out, said she's done asked her about vacuuming we were told not today and never came back

Food options excellent lots near by , bed was horribly horrendous was not a pillow top as advertised was old and hard with springs digging into u , the air con did not work in the living area hot ir cold , room was smelly , carpet was durty and not vaccumed , couch was uncomfortable, over all room was not worth the money we paid, our car park also had a car in it so had tobstuff aroud to get another park , showe need to be fixed silicone falling off , location was great

Pleasant stay in Southbank - Great location

overall our stay was very pleasant. My only complaint was the bed was extremely uncomfortable to the point of waking up sore the next morning. Single beds in spare room unable to comfortably fit two older teenage boys. More geared towards smaller children. On the whole though, place was clean and well located.

I chose this property as it indicated the management was aware of accessibility issues. As an older woman with some mobility issues, accessibility is important.
On the plus side, the property has a ramp as well as stairs at the front entrance. It provides a disabled spot in the car park. Access to the unit was level, it had a good bathroom, with large fluffy towels and the bed was comfortable. And there is an excellent coffee shop at ground level.
However, there were a few issues that need to be pointed out.
The disabled parking spot is not wide enough.
The lounge furniture is quite unsuitable, with a very low lounge and quite flimsy dining chairs. It was a good thing the verandah chairs were more comfortable. And I couldn’t reach most of the plates, cups and glasses, which had been placed in high cupboards. It would have been much more helpful if they had been placed in the pantry.

Nice place, nightmare weekend checkin

Nightmare check in experience. Weekend check in from 2pm but their reception closes at 12 on weeekends. Stuck outside for 2 hours unable to get anything done via hotels.com despite the help the support worker was trying to give.
It took a resident going into the building to offer to call her emergency number and for them to tell me what room and how to get the key. Very unpleasant experience but got there in the end. Couldnt complain about the place itself otherwise

Amazing apartment. Sound proof - so quiet. I had a one bedroom with closable balcony. Awesome apartment with everything you need. Friendly staff. Only downside was all the homeless people at the nearby park that I was not expecting. Lots of tents and at night I felt a little bit unsafe walking home.

Great location and everything seemed clean but the stench permuating from the bathroom was insane. I suspect there were complaints by the placement of the air freshners. It was so bad that at 4am I dismantled the S bend under the basin - blocked with some filthy hair and debris but I couldn't stand it any longer. Reception didn't seem to care so much even though it's hardly what you'd expect to be doing as a guest. Even though I was really nice about it and suggested a clean of all the drains I may as well have been talking about the weather.

The quoted address, 28 Russell St , is deceptive as the entry is around the corner. Taxi was confused in the dark.
The limited hours of the receptionist was inconvenient so access to apartment key confusing as entrance is very dark.

I stayed here for a week long work trip. As per the photos there was a gym on premises so I brought my gear. Upon asking about the location of the gym they told me it was across the street and that you require an annual membership. Coming from Canada, and bringing extra items for this case I was not impressed. The rest of the stay was good, no complaints. However, the lack of transparency while booking was not ideal.

Nice apartment in a great location.

Clean, comfortable and well appointed apartment in a great location for easy walk South Bank, West End, CBD and transport. Plenty of great food options nearby. While we didn’t really use it, it was great to have the option of a full kitchen and laundry. Would recommend for anyone going to a show at QPAC, visiting the musuems, GOMA or events at the exhibition centre. Would definitely stay there again.

Noisy, Cold and Uncomfortable

We stayed in 2 bed 2 bath which sounded good but our apartment was next to a 4 way intersection and we could hear vehicles passing, dogs barking and traffic lights pinging constantly, it was worse at night. The bed was hard and uncomfortable with only a thin duvet in winter. I had to put a blanket on top but was still cold. There was a reverse air con unit in each room but none of them worked so we couldn’t even heat the rooms. We tried asking about it but we were told there wasn’t much they could do about it. Our room was unserviced so we had to re-use towels which again wouldn’t have been an issue but the bathroom was so cold that our towels weren’t drying properly. They also would not store our luggage past 12pm so we had to lug them around with us on our last day which was very disappointing as we had planned to do some things in the city but ended up going to the airport 4hrs early instead. With all that said this was a great location for access to QPAC. Just a short walk with lots of cafes and restaurants near by and a short walk to the city.

Air conditioners did not work Roadworks at 0100am using jack hammers right outside the apartment with orange, red, blue police lights and a spotlight to light up the whole area. Overall a good place to stay, close to convention centre and excellent restaurants. My only issue was with checking in. I was led to believe that reception was open until midnight, but in fact closed at 6pm. There was a number to call, but I needed to say it was an emergency to speak with someone. They then very efficiently gave me a code to access a key. It would be better to say this is the arrangement at the beginning.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. I think there was a problem with the plumbing on the floor above as we had an unpleasant smell through the bathroom drain. The facilities were ideal for an 8 day stay. The bed was comfortable. My biggest issue was that the smoke alarm was too close to the cooking area and it went off as soon as you started cooking. I loved the little cafe downstairs.

We liked the location and free parking. Did not like the noise. We were booked for a 3 night stay but only stayed the 1 night. There were ALL NIGHT road works directly outside the building with constant banging and clanking. Unable to sleep. Was not advised this was happening. It turned out to be a very expensive one night stay as they refused to refund the two nights we didn’t stay. Road works were continuing. Why would we stay when this was going on all night. We like our sleep and looked forward to this trip but The Vine Apartments ruined that. On a side note corridors and lift very hot and stuffy, no air circulation whatsoever. Won’t be back and will advise others not to waste their money.

This was a nice hotel with decent sized rooms, clean, good a/c and in a great location close to Southbank.

We booked this hotel for a two night, three day family stay. The only reason we chose Vine was that it had a heated, rooftop outdoor spa. Well, it was closed and unable to be turned on. We telephoned reception, who despite being open till 6pm on Thursday 17th had closed by 5pm. So much for using the spa...

The location is very noisy, even high up on the 6th floor, the noise from below is very noticeable. Double glazed windows should have been used.

The reception staff were cool at best, obviously very competent at social media, as both spent more time on their phones than actually engaging with their clientele. Even getting their attention was an issue.

Gotta say we do these stays a few times a year, but won’t consider Vine apartments again.

(1) The apartment had a persisting strange smell which seemed to emanate from. the bathroom - a somewhat mouldy plumbing smell. (2) The main. television system did not work. It was probably not out of order, but was showing \"no signal\". I saw some RCA-type plus on the floor so perhaps they had been unplugged. It was quite a complex set-up involving a Foxtel box so an instruction sheet would have been helpful. (3) The supplies of sugar, soap and shampoo were ungenerous. There were only three sachets of sugar. Otherwise: the place was attractive, generally well maintained, well-equipped and comfortable, and staff were helpful.

Valentines Day, 14 Feb - ignored on arrival. Not told on phone an hour earlier I would be charged for accessing our room early as it was available ($50 for 2hr early) then withdrawn from credit card when we arrived - until I queried it. Was then told it had bee refunded (however has not come back into my account as yet, the charge has gone through though). Rude receptionist, no apology for their error, no compensation for us on Valentines Day. Bad start to our weekend. Room was fairly drab, didnt look as good as in the pictures online. Spa on roof didn't work properly either, no instructions anywhere.

Well located for easy walking access to the Southbank area and city. Facilities were very appropriate for an extended stay of 6 nights. Unit a little tired needing maintenance: shower rubber seal needs replacing and long needs reupholstering as the cushion covers were gaping. Air conditioning was effective in Brisbane’s heat and high humidity. Repairs are easy to complete but maintenance needs close monitoring.

The property was not what we expected. The access to the property was not ideal if you are arriving after the on site reception is closed.
The lift areas and hallways were stuffy and musty.
The apartment itself was very basically furnished. The shower area could have been much better cleaned.
The noise from adjacent apartments was uncomfortable.
We did have trouble exiting the underground car park as we could not find anywhere to make the exit door open and had to take the lift up and outside to exit the building. There was no one to help us with this.
