Overall we had a wonderful time in Tahoe and the room met our needs for our trip. We appreciated the in-room spa tub after a long day of hiking in the cold. Our door hardware seemed loose which made it stick when we tried to open it. And the carpet could use replacing because it was torn in places. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated the in-room amenities. The location was great and the room was clean. We would stay again.

Specifically booked and paid extra for a room with a hot tub and yes, it had one but it didn't power on. Tried everything, have experience with this and was broken. Main power was on but switch didn't feel right when pressed. No soap at the sink only shampoo in the shower and the TV remote didn't work at all. Front desk was useless when I complained and did nothing except say \"I'm sorry\". Although the room showed signs of heavy usage, it was clean, nice bed but overall, I wouldn't stay here again.

We had a great stay for an anniversary trip to Lake Tahoe. We stayed 20+ years ago when it was the Fantasy Inn so booked it as a sort of nostalgic nod.
Super cute property with commentary bikes, staff was great and the room was clean and very large. We really enjoyed the fireplace and extra large spa tub. The location is great as well.

The Postmarc Hotel is safe and quiet and well situated close to the lake and restaurants. The room was spacious, but we didn't like the \"spa shower and tub\" which was only enclosed by curtains. The shower was very uncomfortable on the soles of our feet too. Worst of all, there's no elevator, so to haul luggage up stairs to rooms was very difficult. We would not stay there again.

We had water dripping from the ceiling of our bathrooom at 11:00 the night we stayed. We were asked to move to another room.
The morning we left I ran the sink hot water for 15 minutes. I never did get any hot water.
No compensation was offered which I think was indicated based on our experience.

The postmarc has always been a super unique hotel which is why this was our second stay there. However, it seems to have gone down hill since our last stay in 2017. The carpets in the hallway and in our room seemed dirty and gave off a musky smell. We found a roach in our room that kept running back under the refrigerator in our last day there. There were holes in the wooded walls and ceiling that needed to be repaired. The whole property just really needs some renovations and repairs. There’s a message to leave a sign out for the cleaning of your room but no sign is actually provided. The staff was very friendly and let us check in early, the bed was comfortable as well. The location is pretty awesome, it’s unfortunate the old chevys next door is all ran down but literally everything else around the hotel is walkable and very nice. Tons of food options, and super close to the marina while also not being too far away from state line.

The sounds started at 7am and were completely unbearable. I’d stay here again once the construction is done, but that side of the hotel should honestly be shut down for now.

I like that Postmarc is located at the center of South Lake Tahoe, walkable from lake, dining, drug store, to Heavenly Gondola, Harrah’s. What disappointed me was the cleanliness, on our 1st day the toilet got clogged, water from the toilet floor overflowed, poop on the toilet sit, yuck! We requested for room service and nobody came. We have to call the guy from the lobby, he put rugs on the floor and when we came back later in the afternoon it was still there, uncleaned! The other guy who helped us checked in had to clean it. If there was vacancy in other hotels, I would have cancelled! I should have asked for refund for the inconvenience!!!!
