I was exhausted and the hostel was so easy to find. It was clean, and a good place to sleep. They had good food in the cafe downstairs I recommend the banana bread. Simplistic, a true gem.

It's a great location on a quiet street but still close to a train station and only 20 minutes walk to Shibuya Crossing. The cafe has great food and coffee and is open until late. If you need a place purely to sleep and get some food whilst exploring the city then it's spot on.

I didn’t know that hostel means a sleeping space provided and nothing else. We got corner space bank beds with vertical ladder. That was not easy to get on the bed and manage belongings stored under somebody else’s lower bed space. Only space we had were common with three chairs with a table for eating etc. Otherwise we had to stay on our bank bed. Affordable, convenient location but not for me again.

Staff were very kind. Location is great with food and a train station (Odakyu line) very close.

The biggest problem with the place is the lack of shared spaces specifically for the guests. This isn’t going to be a problem for some I think but I personally think of hostels as places to meet and talk with fellow travelers. Harder to do without dedicated shared spaces for the travelers to socialize in. There is the sleeping area and bathrooms but no real area for the guests to hang out. You can use the cafe down stairs but it isn’t really for the guests so you will be sharing it with the cafe customers. You also have to exit the building to get to the cafe. Plus the cafe isn’t open at all times so you might find yourself needing to sit outside to talk on the phone or talk without bothering other people trying to sleep.

Some additional notes is that you have to rent things like towels and such if you don’t bring your own. This sort of thing depends on the hostel in my experience but I do prefer ones where towels are provided because they can take up a good bit of space. While there is laundry in the shared area, there is no good hanging area for air drying things like towels or non-dryer safe clothes.

Right next to the train station and perfectly in between Shibuya and Shinjuku! Staff was super friendly and accommodating, and all the food/drinks in the downstairs cafe were delicious! Bathrooms and shared spaces were cleaned often and well up-kept. We made lots of cool friends here and overall had a 10/10 experience.

The hostel for how much traffic it has is kept pretty clean, might need shoes or slippera for the floor though. I stayed twn whole nights and aside from one or two guests it was quiet and clean, the bed was comfortable and I asked to have them change my sheets halfway through. It's close to two stations and convenience stores and the coffee shop although usually busy is very good. I enjoyed my stay.

Great hostel

We stayed for over a week here. It was clean, quiet, easily accessible via public transport and walking. The beds have blinds to give you privacy when you are sleeping. You do need to get up one or two flights of stairs depending on if you are in the female only or mixed dorms so be prepared for that. There are 25 beds in one dorm, but it's probably the quietest hostel I've stayed in as there are clear rules about when people can use hairdryers. the washing machine etc. There is also a 7eleven right down the street which was very handy especially when we shipped our bags off to the airport a couple of days before. Would recommend.

It is a perfect stay if you are budget minded. There is a lawson and matsuya next to the hostel as well as the hostel being a cafe itself. If you want to go to shimokitazawa or shinjuku you can take yoyogi hachiman which is close by.

The beds are comfortable, have two power outlets, and storage for 2 medium sized luggage. The staff clean and mop the floor everyday around 12pm

I really liked my stay here in a lot of ways it was excellent, my only gripe would be that climbing the ladder to the top bunk was mildly cumbersome and if you're not in good physical condition, it's going to be very difficult. The ladder also has a sticky white resin that gunks up the hand when clasped to climb the ladder... that said, the capsule was more spacious than more, the location was epic, & the hostel runs a cafe so you can chill/socialize with people that you've met if you're into that sort of thing.

If you're sensitive to noise this place is not for you! It is not only other people but a constant noise like an aeroplane taking off. The sheet they supply (to make your own bed) barely covers the plastic mattress. For the price I expected better.

Not a bad place at all, especially for that price point. I paid about $34 a day. Just a little not clean feeling, also the neighborhood around there is a bit too quiet for Tokyo. Also transportation to get around Tokyo is hard from there. But again very good price so overall a solid place, 4 stars!

This was a great one night stay for me! Check-in was easy and I was happy to see the staff speaking English. The bed was comfortable and didn’t feel claustrophobic, and the washrooms were well maintained. I also appreciated the locker storage because that made me feel better about keeping my lugggae stored while I went out. The area was also very convenient to get to the buses and stations, and the food around was incredible! The cafe downstairs is also worth a visit - their oat latte was amazing and definitely hit the spot. Would come back to stay at this hostel for sure.

We loved this neighborhood, just a 10 min walk from Takeshita Street, with all the shops and cafes! The hostel has a nice cafe on the first floor, and a 7-11 just down the block. We would stay again, nice showers and bathrooms, cozy beds!

simply perfect for the solo traveler

Facilities consist of only a bed, toilets, lockers, and showers in a room that is reminiscent of a beehive, which is kind of charming. The cafe on the bottom floor has amazing food, coffee, vibes, and even Luup parking. I've stayed in many similar places during my Japan travels, but none rival the way locals embrace and fill the cafe day and night. They are definitely doing something right. I wished for a refrigerator during my week stay, but what am i doing eating in when in the dining capital of the world? The hostel is located in frankly the hippest neighborhood I've stayed, Japan wide, with Shibuya just down Kamiyama street (hello walking home after clubbing) and Harajuku only a bit further. Amazing coffee on every block, a Blue Lug bicycle shop (iykyk) immediate train access, and fantastic food everywhere. My only knock on the neighborhood from a tourist perspective is that so many of the dining options are european. Book early, as beds are full almost every night.

Very nice hostel but you do have to walk up a big flight of stairs with your luggage but the hostel women helped me. Also make sure you buy ear- plugs or else you’ll hear people digging in there bags all night long lol! I’d stay here again very clean!

Best location, 2 mins from train stations, close to central Tokyo and walking distance from Shibuya and Harajuku. Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms and beds. Staff are also polite, friendly and nice. There’s not really common areas to chill at in the room. You can do so at the cafe downstairs, which has a really cool vibe, but it does get busy sometimes.

Hostel is nice with large single pods / bunks, with plenty of washing facilities.
The electronic door looks is quite annoying when people are coming back later at night as it is quite loud.
Coffee downstairs is good, but go round the corner for equivalent cheaper coffee.
Lights out at 11 is good however, the use of the laundry is not stopped after this time, and is only in a room off the dorm room so is loud long into the night if people start the washing just before 11, suggest the hostel kill the power the these facilities at 11 with the main lighting.

The aesthetic was very nice and the staff were welcoming from the get-go. The rooms are cool and spacious with good bathroom facilities and a laundry. The only downsides were the stairs up to the rooms were very steep and it was a struggle to carry our luggage up and down, and the mattresses were hard to sleep on.

Shibuya Local Vibes at Mustard Café & Yoyogi Area

The place is great for a short stay. The room is like many other hostel rooms, with many bunk beds and visitors from many other countries.
What I like the most was the Mustard Café, a quite tranquil space with a lovely natural light and great music ( a soothing. a collection of jazzy instrumental lo-fi beats). The neighbourhood is not so crowded and one can feel truly Tokyo local vibes while staying at Mustard. There are many nice cafés, shops and restaurants around the area. A great place if you would like to be centric but not in a busy area.

First time staying in a hostel with no pantry

The hostel is above the cafe that's run by the same ppl running the hostel. The down side is, there is no pantry/kitchen, you are not allowed to eat in the hostel, and the common area is the cafe, which is kinda awkward when what you want to do is just to make yourself cup noodle, but it's weird having to eat that in a cafe with other cafe customers as well.... I seriously think that they should consider having a small pantry or kitchen within the hostel, so that we don't have to go down to the cafe everytime we want to eat something, or just to boil hot water.

For the money, especially traveling with more than one, this place is simply not worth it. The upper bunks are insanely hot, there is not enough space for anyone’s things so they are all over the floor, and the bathroom is not kept very clean. The pods were decently sized and the lounge is nice, but the pictures are very misleading. If you’re traveling with luggage it is inconvenient in every way.

Friendly and Helpful staff, Spoke English quite well and were an awesome bunch of people. The futons where comfy, showers and toilets were always clean. They took the time to ask about my trip, make suggestions on where to go, what to see and even came out for a drink with us and showed us some places that we would not have been able to go without having someone who spoke Japanese. Definitely would book there again.

Nice little capsule like Hostel in Shibuya

For a capsule-like hostel I think this place was great.
Firstly it is convenient located. Very close to the underground station, Yoyogi Park and Harajuku/Shibuya.
The place is nicely kitted with new bathrooms, sinks, showers, washing machine, hair dryer, etc.
The futon is very comfortable and the sheets were nice.
There is no proper door to your “capsule” so there is a little curtain to give you privacy. If you want to lock your things away you can rent a lock from them and put it in the storage next to you. I personally wasn’t leaving anything valuable so I left some of my things on the futon and it was all there when I came back but I guess you have to do this at your own risk. Japan is very safe though.
The staff are very helpful and friendly!!!!

事前決済のうえ、チェックイン前に荷物を預かっていただくため早めに伺いました。
その際に氏名や住所の記入を求められたため、個人的にはチェックイン手続きが済んだものと思っていましたが、後ほど「チェックインがまだの方へ」という案内メールが届きました。
仕事の都合で戻りが遅くなる予定だったため、「チェックインは24時まで」という記載を見て少し焦りました。チェックインの流れについて、もう少し分かりやすい案内があると安心できると思います。

フロントはカフェと併設されており、宿泊手続きとカフェ利用のお客さんが同じ列に並ぶ形でした。混雑している時間帯は対応までに少し時間がかかることがあるため、時間に余裕を持って行かれることをおすすめします。
チェックイン時には利用ルールについて丁寧な説明があり、前の方への説明内容を聞いていたため個人的には少し長く感じましたが、初めて利用される方には安心できる対応だと思います。

食事は入口近くのテーブルでとの案内でしたが、実際には入口ドアすぐ前に1卓のみで、他の宿泊客の方と相席になりました。想像していたよりコンパクトなスペースだったため、気になる方もいるかもしれません。

また、23時以降はドライヤー使用禁止というルールがあり、朝早い出発だった私は、周囲の方がまだ就寝中の中で音を立てないよう準備する必要がありました。スペースも限られていたため、少し大変に感じました。

一方で、スタッフの方の対応は丁寧でありがたいと感じる場面もありました。翌日の作業で使用するズボンが生乾きだったところ、気づいて乾燥機にかけてくださり助かりました。

全体として、静かな環境を大切にしているホステルだと思います。「夜遅い到着と朝早い出発の予定」がある場合は、個室を選ぶほうが自分には合っていると感じました。

ドミトリーとしては清潔で、立地も悪くありません。
ただし、カプセル型で音や人の気配が非常に伝わりやすく、
周囲に気を使いながら過ごす必要があります。

私の場合は、耳栓を使用しても睡眠が取れず、
1泊で移動することになりました。

静かな環境でしっかり休みたい方や、
生活音に敏感な方には不向きだと思います。

新宿、渋谷に出やすく、立地面からみた価格は魅力的。
チェックイン、アメニティ購入、チェックアウトとそれぞれ別のスタッフに対応していただいたが、みな笑顔で親切だった。

以前近所に住んでいたため1階カフェは何度か利用したことがあるが、おいしいし、まわりにも人気のパン屋やカフェが多くある。

外階段は不便だが、スーツケースが余裕で入るサイズの施錠できる収納が各ベッドにあるのはありがたい。

シャンプー、コンディショナー、ボディソープ、ハンドソープは備え付けあり。ハンガーも1ベッドに2つ付いていた。
枕元に携帯、ペットボトルが置ける程度のラックがあるのも地味に便利だった。

0時に就寝体制に入ったものの、洗面スペースとベッドスペースに仕切りがないためか、朝方5:30ごろまで10-20分おきに歯磨き等する人々の(電動歯ブラシ含む)の物音がよく響きうるさくて眠れなかった。

23:00-6:30まではドライヤー禁止等配慮はされているが、耳栓持参を推奨する。

清潔感はこういったドミでは一般的かなという感じ。

総合的には満足です。

Great hostel at a nice location

Nice hostel in a good location close to meiji Jingu, Shinjuku and Shibuya. The sleeping pods are comfortable, the lockers below are enough, the overall infrastructure is pretty good. The café part of it has a good selection of food and beverages at reasonable prices. I had one breakfast there which was really tasty! The staff is helpful and polite. Would stay again.

スクランブル交差点まで徒歩30分ぐらい

渋谷とありますが、最寄り駅は小田急の代々木八幡駅もしくはメトロの代々木公園駅です。頑張れば渋谷へも散歩ついでに歩けます。上記考えてもこの宿泊費はお手頃だと思います。
チェックインは1Fのカフェカウンターでチェックインとなります。(セルフチェックインタブレットもカウンター横に見かけました。)チェックインは16時ですが、事前に荷物を預かってもらうことは可能です。預けておくとドミまで運んでくれます。
ビル1Fがカフェ、2F3Fがドミになっていますが、店内からのエレベーター等は無く、一度店外へ出て狭い急階段を登ってドミに行きます。スーツケース等スタッフに頼めば、チェックインもチェックアウト時も運んでくれるようでしたが、その案内はありませんでした(ここの口コミで初めて知りました)。
カフェは宿泊客と一般客両方利用可能で、宿泊客は外で買ってきたものをカフェで食べることができます。カフェは日中は外国人でとても混み合っていました。コーヒーが美味しく、ラテアートが可愛いかったです。

The reception area is combined with a cafe, which is very busy and popular among the locals. I was missing a place to work in peace, so ended up working in my capsule, which was of course a bit punk. But if you are on holidays and just need a place to sleep - the place is perfect for a budget travellers.

살짝 고급형 캡슐 이라는 느낌.. 캡슐 안에 앉아도 될 정도로 여유있는 높이였어요. 체크인할때 직원분이 캐리어 옮겨주셔서 감사했습니다. 샤워실도 괜찮았구요.
단점은 어매니티를 단하나도 안줘요. 수건 200엔인가..슬리퍼도 유료로 빌려야해서 그냥 안빌렸어요. 슬리퍼 다이소에서라도 백엔짜리 하나 사가세요~ 자물쇠도 가져가세요~
시부야에서 가깝고 나름 괜찮은 숙소였습니다

騒音がしてゆっくり休めませんでしたがお値段的には妥当かなと思います。シャワーが２４時間使用できたのと女性用フロアがある点が良かったです。

혼자서 여행시 추천!

깨끗하고 좋았어요.근데 음식 먹을라면 카페까지 내려가는건 좀 별로인 것 같아요. 간단하게 컵라면이나 빵을 거기서먹는것도 좀 카페음식이 괜찮아서 손님이 많더라고요.. 그래도 여성전용에 깨끗하고 혼자서 여행하는분들께는 추천드려요!! 자잘한 용품은 들고오시는걸 추천..(자물쇠,수건..)

足腰弱い方は注意が必要です。

とても良かったのですが、自分は膝が悪く階段や2段ベッドが苦手なのでそのぶん評価を下げました。その分もう少し安かったらな…とは思いました。

足腰に問題のない方にはとってもおすすめできます。

There is a supermarket convenience store near the hostel. However, eating and drinking is prohibited in the room.
The hostel is close to the train and bus station.
The hair dryer cannot be used until 11pm, so we recommend that you take a shower early.

代々木八幡駅から徒歩2〜3分が嬉しい！!が…

　1階カフェレジでチェックイン　外に出てドアがあり急な階段上り又ドアで入室
　冷蔵庫、トイレの脱臭、音消し、が無い　
　スリッパ有料、ベッド下にロック付収納があるが使用しづらい　
　スタッフさんは愛想なし…外人さん向けなのかしら

立地が良い。駅に近いわりに静か。
シャワールームにはシャンプー類、洗面台にはドライヤーもついていて、必要最低限のものは備わっているので、寝るためだけに泊まるなら充分です。
