Good location, staff were good. The bathroom stunk (smelt like dirty stagnant water from leaking pipe) which flowed into the room - informed the staff twice but still stunk after the third day. Had to spray air fresher each day to mask the smell. My husband ended up fixing the issue by wiggling the sink basin back into postion which was not sitting correctly, leaving a gap for the smell to come through. Heating was centrally controlled so we could not adjust - it was stiffling. We could not open the window. Had to keep the door ajar during the day when we were in. The floor hallway carpet we were on, smelt like stale food. Their policy of handing your room key to reception each time you leave the hotel, even if for only a few minutes, was annoying and inconvenient. My son, who stayed at another hotel with friends, dropped by to say hello and use the toilet wasn't allowed up and when we needed to sort our luggage between us, I had to be stern to have him in the room for 30 mins.

This was our third and last hotel during our first Japan trip - was not a good ending to fantastic trip.

Would not stay at this hotel again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Creston Hotel is such a hidden gem if you are looking to stay near all the Shibuya madness while also being near the calmer parts of the craziness. The staff were extremely friendly, check-in was a breeze. The breakfast was very delicious, with two options being offered (Japanese style and Western style). Would definitely be returning and staying here when staying in Shibuya!

The Shibuya Creston Hotel is perfect for travelling in Tokyo, it is out of the way from the craziness of the Shibuya scramble but with easy access to the train station, restaurants and shops.

The staff are amazing, from the resturant staff to the front desk, everyone was so very friendly, helpful and wonderful.

The rooms are small in comparison to other countries, but for a Tokyo hotel they are actually quite spacious, and you learn to fit in the space quickly.

The breakfasts are well worth the cost, and I highly recommend the Japanese option, it is a delicious way to start the day.

I was very sad to leave at the end of my stay, and I cannot wait to return! Thank you Shibuya Creston Hotel.

Room was a bit dated but very good for its price. Staff was super friendly and remember everyone (since they hold your keys when you leave). Tucked away in a quieter spot of Shibuya which was nice. Not too far of a walk to Shibuya station either.

Fabulous place. Quiet area just a short walk from Shibuya scramble crossing. Everything was perfect during our stay. Large room, cleaned and restocked daily. Bath and shower. Everywhere spotlessly clean. Staff very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

The Shibuya Creston Hotel boasts an excellent location and exceptionally friendly service. Housekeeping was attentive, with rooms cleaned daily and fresh towels provided each day. However, the property itself is quite outdated and in need of major renovation. The furniture and carpets are old and would benefit from replacement. That said, the warm hospitality and convenient location help balance out these shortcomings.

Wouldn’t let our friend in the room because he wasn’t a guest there and also did not let us checkout even 10 minutes late the Bed was uncomfortable the TV was so old and only played Japanese and the entire hotel was outdated will never stay here again worst hotel experience in Tokyo so far…

Perfect location. Walking distance (10mins) from the main strip and Shibuya station but far enough to avoid all the noise and crowd. There are many good restaurants within 2 minutes walks. We were so happy with our choice and location. I will be returning there the next time we’re in Tokyo.

Lovely property a little ways from Shibuya Crossing. The staff were very nice and respectable. The rooms are perfect for couples are single travellers. Plently of space in the room with upgrade to the interior - whilst keeping all of the decor. The lights were located on an old radio box - nice astethic with the rest of the hotel

This was the second time staying at the hotel and for some reason, I didn't enjoy it as much as I did the first time around. For starters, I woke up groggy every morning because the pillows were ridiculous. I got headaches from it. Secondly, the staff weren't as nice as they were on my first stay. Also, please please please clean the mold on the bathroom sink! It's literally black mold that you cannot miss when you walk into the bathroom. I'm definitely not going to stay here again.

The staff members at this hotel were excellent. They were professional and friendly. The hotel itself is showing signs of age, but there was a sense of nostalgia. For example, having the actual key verse key card, which had to dropped off each time you left the hotel. My room was fine, but there issues with other two rooms. The bedding had to be changed, as there were two large stains. The other room had issues with the shower and sink.

The location was great. It was a few minutes walk from the Shibuya Scramble, but quite. There were a lot of small eateries and good shopping nearby. We were able to go on a pleasant walk in the neighborhood.

Wonderful Location with a Classic Feel

This was stop number 1 during my younger brother's recent 30th birthday trip to Japan (3/13-3/23). I did a decent amount of research on different areas around Tokyo since this was our first time visiting, and this hotel had positive reviews regarding location to stations and whatnot. What actually surprised me, however, was the distance from Scramble Crossing. It was close to 10pm or so local time once we checked in - a very smooth process - and we immediately headed out to peruse the area and see what was around for the next day. We weren't walking 5 minutes before I realised we were smack dab in the middle of the most popular part of the city! The hotel itself is tucked away in a quiet block just far enough from the hustle and bustle to keep outside noise to a minimum. While the room is on the smaller side, it was perfect for us as we were only 2 people (and he's a bigger guy - 6'3\" and 280lbs). The building seems older, but several things have been revamped giving it a classic air without anything falling apart. Something I was not used to was dropping the key at the front desk anytime you left the property. They hold your key and upon re-entry most often the front desk employee recognizes you and hands it back without issue. Towels, toiletries, and water were replenished each day and communication was easy. We would choose to stay here again in a heartbeat! Don't pass this gem up if you get the chance :)

Booked this hotel about three days before arrival so of the limited options available it seemed the best. Hotel is outside the hubbub of Shibuya but walkable. The staff were lovely and helpful- 10/10. The room was much much smaller the one we stayed in for less in Shinjuku earlier in the week and, as others have noted, in need of an update. Given my late booking it served its purpose and was glad we only needed it for one night.

Literally the kindest and most helpful staff. We thought we messed up using the luggage delivery service, and we were going back to the Lawson to try and ask the clerk for help, but one of the hotel staff ran outside to accompany us to ask, and even called the hotel we were sending our luggage to. They were always courteous and I’d love to stay there again.

The property itself is quite a bit nicer than what I expected during booking. Or at least the lobby is. The rest of the hotel feels quite dated. Still using physical keys for the doors which stylistically is neat but combined with the dated feel of everything else in the room, just made it feel even older. That said, had a pleasant stay and sleep. No real complaints.

If you’re planning a trip to seal
Satoro Gojo in shibuya this hotel is the perfect place to stay. It’s less than 10 minutes from shibuya station and shibuya square. There’s more than enough shopping and dining to keep you occupied in the immodest vicinity without even stepping foot on a train. You do have to leave your key with the front desk anytime you leave the room. However, this added a level of appreciation towards us as guests as they greeted us and said good ye to us each time we left and came back. We left the room for around 30 minutes and house cleaning got in there and did an excellent job of cleaning in that short period of time. A bit noisy but you’re in shibuya what are you expecting an hiyori in Kyoto? Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to experience shibuya and inner city Tokyo.
