The room (5) was clean and bright, however the radiator was stone cold. Contacted reception, the boiler had tripped, the room radiator warmed up but the shower room stayed cold. The shower didn't have enough power for the overhead shower to work and the smaller shower head on the riser rail kept slipping down and wouldn't hold the shower head in place. Breakfast was great and the staff were very attentive. Got to Gatwick airport in 5 minutes so it served a purpose.

I needed a quick overnight stay before a long-haul flight—this place was perfect. Close to the airport, 24/7 shuttle, and reliable service. From Terminal N, call 88111 at bus stop 6, then proceed to bus stop 8 for pickup. I arrived at 1 a.m., grabbed food at Pret, changed clothes, and called for pickup at 2 a.m.—the minibus arrived by 2:10. Quiet and comfortable; I slept well. In the morning, I easily rescheduled my shuttle to Terminal S from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. No issues. Bring £26 cash or coins; there’s an ATM and a coin machine in the terminal for vending. Great service—would stay again.

I liked this room 15 more because it was ensuite. I did not like the reception from the staff - no eye contact. The last time i stayd the staff were friendlier and funny. The only issue with the room 15 is that I could hear all the noise and luggage being dragged ar AM in the morning. Other than that I do like the corner house and would recommend it to others.

Close to local bus lines that get you to Gatwick South 24h per day - you can also walk to Gatwick South if you are committed enough. Slightly on the noisy side (as every airport hotel is!) with people moving in the corridors throughout the night. I would stay again though; it was a lovely start to the holiday - thank you :)

I booked a room at this hotel to be conveniently. Lose to Gatwick Airport, from where I would be meeting my family arriving the next day. The hotel clearly stated on their website that they offered complimentary airport transfer, which was a deciding factor for me as I am disabled and was travelling on my own. On departing the hotel I asked about the departure time of the next complimentary shuttle, only to be told that I would have to pay £13 to be taken to the terminal a short distance away from the hotel. I was told in no uncertain terms that if I didn’t pay I would not be able to avail myself of the “courtesy transfer service”. I felt uncomfortable and coerced and given my disability I had no alternative but to pay for the service. I showed the passage on the website that stated “complimentary” to hotel staff to no avail. I would not stay at this hotel again as I felt cheated and misled.

Service fantastic, rooms clean, staff friendly and shuttle they provide is very convenient. This would always be my first point of call for the future and its affordable.

The down side was from the noise from the hotel bar directly below the room (number 1) plus the traffic noise outside (though that is the not the fault of the hotel). Upon our arrival around midnight, we were met with an appallingly rude and racist attitude from the individual at reception. When we brought up concerns about the cold room and a non-functioning lamp, he responded dismissively and made a completely inappropriate and racist comment: “This is England, not India.” This assumption was based purely on the colour of our skin — an incredibly offensive and ignorant remark, especially considering we are from Toronto, Canada and have never been to India. This level of hostility and racism was shocking. We have travelled extensively, including in England, and have never encountered such treatment.
Additionally, our room was not located in the main building with the reception, but across a busy road — a completely inconvenient and unsafe situation at midnight, especially with luggage. The staff member made no effort to assist us with our bags. He walked with us but left us halfway to figure out an outdated lock on the room, which took us at least a few minutes to figure out.
The room itself was far from the standard one would expect from a hotel with good reviews. It was outdated, noticeably dusty along the edges and had a non-functioning lamp.

Myself and my son were only there for one night to catch a good nights sleep on a layover, but we certainly had no complaints. The shuttle picked us up from the airport right away, and the driver was friendly with a good sense of humor. As he was playing Elton John on the radio, I knew he was going to be okay.😎 Both desk attendants handled reservation and issue (there was a couple in front of us) courteously and promptly. I have no reservation about recommending Corner House Gatwick.

If you need a cot
Lovely hotel, although bathroom was very small, and we especially enjoyed the breakfast. Unfortunately despite requesting a cot in advance and getting an email saying it would be set up in our room, this didn't happen. When we arrived they seemed unsure a cot would even fit in the room we were in! They did find a spare cot but it wouldn't go up properly despite me and one of the hotel staff trying for a while. I was told that unfortunately some other guests had arrived first and were given the cots. Thankfully we had a cot packed away in our luggage so had to get that out, but having to unpack and repack wasnt ideal. So just be aware if you request a cot it might not be there.
