Property is run down and in a bad area (next to correctional facility and across from casino). The chain on our door was broken. The front desk staff were nice. Plenty of parking. Beds were uncomfortable and dirty. But what was really outrageous was the level of filth in the room. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. Sticky floor, hair from many different people all over bathroom, crumbs everywhere, moldy shower curtain. I didn’t expect much and this was somehow worse. And we paid $197!

This property is in a very sketchy section of town. I was told that it is \"safe\" to walk close by during the day, but not at night. There is only one elevator and the open walkways are split between floors. My sister and I returned to retrieve my luggage after she came in on her flight after determining this was not a safe location. At night, there were two security guards in the front, but poor lighting and no one in the area of the rooms. The clerk would not come out of the lobby and it was locked. Really substandard.

When we arrived, it was an unwelcome feeling. Although our room was already paid for the man made us show our credit card again. He also made a sign a paper we were assigned room 208 very surprised with the large facility that there were only five cars in the parking lot as we walk to the second floor. We noticed a man on the first floor with his door open shaving his head there was also another young gentleman in the parking lot that was watching us walk to our room. We opened our room and were greeted by a stain on the first bed and a bad smell. We immediately shut . We opened our room and we’re greeted by a stain on the first bed and a bad smell. we immediately shut the curtains and lock the door, feeling very uneasy, and in fact, unsafe after looking at each other, we decided we could not stay. It was not a safe place. We walked to our car and passed another gentleman who was pushing big boxes on a cart when we got to our car there was a man on the second floor that was just watching us. We felt very unsafe and this might not be a true hotel. Something else might be going on. I feel Econolodge should look into this situation.

The room could have used a better clean…there were dirty boot marks all across the floor and splatter marks over the dresser. Towels and pillow cases were not crisp and white…. Kind of yellowish tint which gives the impression they are not necessarily clean. Sink faucet leaked at faucet and under sink.

If not for absolute necessity I would not have stayed here to begin with. There was broken glass in the mini fridge and it was super dirty. The floors were sticky and filmy. There was no shampoo/conditioner/soap for showering. It was noisy and the curtains didn’t block out the light from the outside so it was bright as day in my room all night. I packed up and left at 6am

Bad review: Where to start….I was charged separately, charged for the room then charged for taxes. I paid for a smoking room on and 2nd or 3rd level and ended up with a room on the 1st floor. The staff was rude and didn’t really want to help when I asked for basic needs of the room (towels, toilet tissue etc). The shower BARLEY worked, the AC unit started smoking, WiFi didn’t work, you have to sign into your own accounts on the Amazon TV, the antenna ok the TV didn’t work, house keeping NEVER came until the last day and they just hung around in the next room until we checked out. If anything it’s just a place to lay your head at the end of a day full of fun.

Good review: 15 mins from downtown, good mom and pop restaurants around the corner from the hotel, lots of activities within 15-20 minutes of the hotel

We were given a ground floor room that reeked of Pine-sol and looked very basic, no-frills. Because the TV didn't work, they moved us to another ground floor room, and we had the same situation. Finally moved us to a second floor room and it smelled so much better and the TV worked.

It's a OLD Days Inn with new paint. It was clean, except for the hairs in the sink and empty beer bottles in the cabinet under the tv. The mattress felt very \"cheap\" and there was only a fitted sheet and a bed spread. No blanket or regular sheet. It is a big place, plan on climbing stairs if you get a 2nd or 3rd floor room. It was quiet, plenty of parking and you do get what you paid for. I would say it is good for an overnight if you don't need something fancy!

I didn’t stay I arrived the woman gave me a room on first floor as I walked to it the window was open. Went in room couldn’t close window when we closed it wouldn’t lock. Went to service desk and requested another room. Gave me a room on second floor. Walk in crow bar sitting on bed checked window and it didn’t lock. Bed spreads were stained. Sheets were stained on both beds. Bathroom was discusting shower was all black and dirty. Went back to service woman and asked for my money back. Not to mention it’s next to a correction facility

Room was fairly clean. My problem was the lsst might of my stay. A visious storm came,heavy rain and wind. I turned the heat up but nothing happened. The room was freezing cold. I tried to call the front desk but the phone didn't work. I had to sleep in my clothes. Thank goodness I was checking out the next morning.

Not only was there limited dining, there was NO DINING even though the site promised there would be. No continental breakfast whatsoever.

In regards to the room, the room was clean and it did have a small refrigerator and microwave. Although the bathroom was clean and the water was satisfactory, it was small and a walk-in shower, no tub. Also when going to get the key, the price I had to pay was a few dollars higher than quoted. It was okay for a one night stay.

Online you can't tell that this is a rundown shady hotel but when you pull up there are people in the parking lot doing drug deals all hours of the night loud music and what looks to be like hookers coming in and out all night. This would have been an issue we could have accepted that but when we got into our room there is visible mold on the ceiling we asked for non-smoking room and it smelled so strongly of cigarettes that all of our clothes smelled like cigarettes when we left. The bed was broken. Lopsided and squeaky.The service was not very good nobody came to give us towels the room didn't even have clean sheets we have to go get clean sheets that were stains behind the bed that look like previous blood sweater and hair and stains in the bed. Terrible. We felt unsafe during our stay and worried about our items being stolen or getting bed bugs. We would have left however they said we couldn't get a refund due to booking through Hotels.com. if you ever want our business I suggest a refund and removing this trashy hotel from your site.

Pleasant surprise!

I was very pleased with my room, amenities, and overall experience. The entire property was VERY clean and nicely updated. Despite a few features that give away its age (noisy AC, cable TV was out, cigarette burn in comforter) the room was almost fully updated with beautiful furnishings, HOT water, wall mounted soap dispensers to reduce waste, and a mini fridge/microwave. The staff wasn’t very friendly but I was still very pleased with my stay.

We got into our room and the beds weren't made up. Went to the office and he upgraded the room but with just two of us, it was something we couldn't use. The big negatives were that the Wi-Fi didn't work and the Breakfast was not available due to Covid-19 according to the manager and his sign. I've not seen that since over a year ago. Also, there was no soap or shampoo as the dispensers in the shower were empty. I have to assume that the owners of this motel cut every corner that they can get away with. They need to remove breakfast and wi-fi from their ad. It's just misleading.

The ad on expedia said that there was a continental breakfast, there was no breakfast the towels were old, the pictures on the site were not the actual property.the mattress was an old spring matress. This was the worst hotel I have ever been. I got 0 sleep during the two nights that I stayed there. The heater was sounding like a tank and shaking the room every time it was kicking to start. The weather was cold so you can imagine the heater would be on all the time. The bathroom towels very old with stains and felt like sand paper on my skin. The bed sheets had stains on them and I am pretty sure we’re full of bugs because I have skin rash now. They had listed free breakfast at booking but at the hotel they had a sign that said we don’t serve breakfast due to COVID-19 hahaha!

My fire alarm was chirping, I'm assuming it needed batteries, but they just removed the whole thing and didn't replace it. WiFi didn't work at all. HELP-QUICK! Something must have happened---certainly did not expect the Walfdorf Astoria but don't understand how this property has received such solid reviews---there were several long strands of hair in our bed--cigarette burns on sheets; no toiletries in bathroom, stains on towels and who knows how long it has been since the bed skirt has been cleaned? IT was just too late for us to move with an early wakeup at 6:15am for a soccer tournament game. YIKES--really among the worst ever!

We reserved non smoking room and the first room they sent us to had signs everywhere that there was no smoking allowed but their was an ash tray and the cigarettes smell was so bad we couldn’t breathe. They have us new room which more than made up that horrible room
