The hotel lacked a microwave and small refrigerator I am giving it 5 stars because of the food service captain Tono. He was excellent very attentive cordial and always made sure my husband and I got taken care of. The breakfast was good it’s a shame there’s no room service after 3pm.

everything was nicely arrange, room was clean as well as the bathrooms. the food at breakfast was delicious as well as the service. I do have a couple of negatives things to report: there was not iron or iron board in the room and there were only three cloth hangers in the closet. not enough when you are traveling for business and staying more than two days

Beautiful place and super clean. They just need to cover the holes on doors. Looks like they recently upgraded the locks and old holes are still there. Anyone can pick inside the room from the hallway. This is the only place I stayed that charged me por person, most hotels 4 people can stay on 2 queen bedroom room. This place charges you per person so i ended up getting a second room instead of paying for 2 more guests.

Our stay was very pleasant, the only thing was it was too far from the center point of Guanajuato. It was too hard to get a Uber to join the Celebration festivities. So if you’re planning to enjoy a celebration in downtown, I would recommend staying in downtown. We went to celebrate, Dia De Los Muertos but missed late hours entertainment because the hotel is out of the area. The hotel itself is very nice, staff is very friendly, our stay is as very nice.

Our safe didn't work. The lock to the door rarely worked which meant that any time we needed to go into our room, we would have to go to the front desk and ask for another key card. This hotel is okay if you want to be near the bus station and toll road. It's cheap, fairly clean, and inexpensive. It looks like it used to be a really nice hotel but it hasn't been updated for awhile. The old central air console is still on the wall but now you must use a remote-controlled wall unit.
My main complaint is that I had to wait to take a bath because there was no drain plug. It took half an hour for them to bring me one. Then I discovered there were no washclothes, so I used a towel in the bathtub because I didn't want to wait until 30 minutes for them to bring me one. The bathwater was lukewarm because it's heated by solar panels and it's the rainy season.
I'm disappointed because it was my birthday and I chose this hotel especially so I could take a hot bath. My house only has a shower so this stay was supposed to be my birthday treat.

Traveled with my daughter and friend. Excellent hotel, I would say the best in GTO, only 10 min taxi ride to the center of town. $50 pesos ( $3US) ride to Teatro Juarez. Just 2 min from central bus station. Nice restaurant and bar, beautiful pool and garden. Clean and modern. Excellent customer service. Very reasonable room prices! Definitely will stay at this place again. First choice.

Very nice hotel with great pool, away from town
The hotel felt like a little oasis along the highway. Perfect for families with kids who prefer not to stay in the city center and enjoy the pool and take a break from the tow'a hustle and bustle. We went for the Cervantino Cultural Festival so the city was very busy and noisy all day and night. Staying away was a good choice so we had pool mornings and festivities in the city in the afternoons. It was great to come back to piece and quiet in evenings.

Lovely staff! Very helpful! If you want a nice place to stay to visit the city of Guanajuato, this is a very good option. It is not downtown, so walking outside is not very picturesque. However, our strategy was to stay at this hotel and take a taxi down to the town center and back (not expensive at all). The hotel was a good value and a very pleasant place to stay. Also, we had rented a car so that we could visit other cities in the area (San Miguel de Allende) and this hotel is located very conveniently to the roads leading out of the city. Parking was free (though a tight squeeze) in the garage below the hotel. If you are touring and sightseeing, you just want a nice place to come back to....this hotel fits the bill.

The hotel is clean and relaxing. The atmosphere is close to a resort. The only complaint that I have is the wifi system very old. Every day I had to go to the front d sky to get a new passcode even though the staff said that the code supposed to work during the whole stay. But every two three hours I logged in, it would require me to go to the front desk. It is useless to argue if it does not work, it's better just to get another code and be done with it. Also, each code only good for one equipment.

my husband and I stayed five days, our overall experience was a an excellent service, rooms, pool, halls, outside patio, restaurant were very clean the service was excellent, the restaurant was also very good.. the food it all depends on your taste. Location was good for us just 15 minutes from el Union Jardin, many available taxis will take you there for about 5.00 dollars one way. the only thing I would change is the beds needs up-grade from the mattress to comforters and pillows. I would stay here again next time we visit.

We had a great experience in this hotel. I stayed there with my family and we were very happy. The staff were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The room was clean and comfortable and I have to mention that the pool was nice and warm. This was my first time in Guanajuato and I wasn't expecting it to be a hot place, so the nice pool makes it very convenient for this type of weather. The hotel itself is very beautiful and super clean. I will for sure stay there again in my next visit to guanajuato.

This hotel was booked because of its spa/pool, bar, wifi in the room, rating, and free inside parking. The pool was closed, the bar was closed, wifi wasn't strong enough and had to work in the lobby. Reception durning the day spoke some English, but 11-7 am (Check-out), none. Nobody was in the restaurant, so I took a taxi into GTO for dinner. Hotel very convenient for driving if one not familiar with roads and tunnels. Many taxis to flag down due to proximity of central bus station. Good tours available at reasonable cost including hotel pick up. Rooms very clean and spacious. Staff very helpful. European Plan so no meals included but reasonable prices in restaurant. We would opt to stay again and just leave car parked in inside parking area.

The only issue while I was in Quinta Las Alondras was a cloaked toilet. After a pleasant and long day at Guanajuato's downtown, the only thing that I NEVER wanted to do was calling to frontdesk and ask for a clean-lady and hear that none was available to help me to unlock the toilet. Impressive since was just saturday 8pm. So, at least they provide me with a tool to solve my problem. Next morning I asked for a full clean of my room and bathroom specially. Al OK when I came back at night.

Hotel is nice but far from town. Be careful,it states free breakfast but they claim that is not the case. Show them your receipt,also shows shuttle,but when you ask they say not operating it get taxi. It is close to bus terminal but far from town and impossible to cross the street!

Best Hotel In My Trip
Despite it's location being a bit far from the center of the city, it's actually not that bad. The hotel can call a taxi and from the time it gets to the hotel to the historic center, it's roughly about 15 minutes just for around 40 pesos (less than 4 bucks). The hotel is fairly new and I loved the pool they had. On one side it was see through so that was cool. The rooms are very spacious and very, very clean. My moms very paranoid about using hotel blankets/pillows but show completely approved here! Actually smelled and looked clean. Also, they have free wifi, but it only works in the lobby. Overall, everything was great. Wish I could have tried the spa and restaurant!

The travel website unhelpfully informed us this was 0.1km from downtown. In reality it's 20 minutes drive away on the side of a motorway. This pretty much ruined it for us.
Otherwise, the hotel seems nice enough, save that our rooms were on the side of a main corridor which had heavy foot traffic and noise all night.

Very nice, clean, friendly staff. Nice restuarant but noone seemed to eat there. Usually I was alone if eating there, even in the morning. No receipt upon departure was a negative, as I have to turn in receipts.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Quintas las Alondras after I got over a few minor details. For instance, the hotel is not within the city center. In fact, it is several miles away from the city center and a mountain pass lies in between. Also, I had to get over the fact that there was no hot tub and no available massage service (which will be ready sometime this year). Gulp. Yes, after I recovered from those minor issues, my stay at Quintas las Alondras was quite pleasant. The staff was very accommodating, friendly and sincere. The buffet breakfast was delicious, the pool was warm enough to swim in January and the room was spacious and clean. I would follow up with the hotel before booking if you are interested in a spa experience and to confirm services available.

MOSTLY POSITIVES AT HOTEL QUINTA LAS ALONDRAS - GUANAJUATO
My young friend and I were mostly impressed with this pleasant, well-maintained and most attractive hotel outside Guanajuato, Mexico. Our room was large and featured french doors overlooking the landscaped pool area in the center of the hotel. We were very impressed with the hotel restaurant which featured a free hot breakfast each morning. We ate two dinners there and found the food to be the best we had while in Guanajuato.
The hotel staff was very accommodating and pleasant and spoke good English.
The primary negative of the hotel is it's location outside of Guanajuato which means a 15-minute car or cab ride everytime you want to visit the center of town where all of the action is located. The neighborhood where the hotel is located is rather rundown and not at all attractive.

The hotel is very well built, it is new but they have built with style so as not to be a holiday inn cookie cutter type hotel. It is very convienient if you have business outside guanajuato as it is not in historic guanajuato, but one of its suburbs which makes for very quick exit if you need to do business in the surrounding area. It is 25 minutes or less to leon bajio airport, and if on business it is great location, and for 50 pesos the taxis will drop you in the historic center for evening or morning wlks in town. It is also much quieter. The downside is there is no walking to be done in the immediate area. But just jump in he taxi. If you are going for a vacation to see guanajuato i would definetly say no to the location. But high quality hotel for sure.

Excellent and beautiful place to stay at. Beautiful view of the city on 3rd and 4th levels. Cons - not close to city downtown but you can easily get there via cab, charge is about 40 pesos (roughly 4 dollars).

The hotel was clean and quiet. The pool was very nice. The glass wall was a great feature which my children loved! The restaurant was also nice. The location is not so great as there is a four lane road right in front of the hotel. Nevertheless it is only a 10 minute straight shot to downtown if you take the tunnels. All in all it was a great hotel at a great price. I would definitely stay there another time. ps. don't expect much from the workout room.

Really nice hotel, clean and quiet (a must for me) kind of outside the center of the city but not a problem since everything is close by (taxi around $4 per trip), by car you can get to the museums and attraction pretty fast (we went on low season, so take it into account). Staff was very kind and helpful. Will definetly go back.

Great hotel, not so great service
The first day I was there, the air conditioning was not working and knew I would never get to sleep that night. It was about 90 degrees even at night. So around 9:00pm, I started calling down to the front desk to get help with the a/c and the clerk kept saying he was very busy but would be right up. I called 3 times in the next 3 hours, and in the meantime, my window had a direct view of the front desk in which I could see the clerk was not doing ANYTHING this whole time. He actually stopped picking up the phone when I called after the 3rd time. Keep in mind I could still see him at the front desk not doing ANYTHING but hanging out there. Finally, as it got closer to midnight and I was still waiting for him to come and fix the a/c before I could go to sleep, my friend went down to the front desk and the clerk came up to look at it. He said it couldn't be fixed and now, at 12:30am we would have to gather up all our belongings and change rooms. We had to get up at 6:30am the next morning for work and it was unbelievable to me that the manager we spoke with the next day did not offer to take any money off our stay, or offer any services free of charge. Nothing. This was a huge inconvenience and was treated like no big deal, and was unacceptable to me.

The hotel was being used by two different small conferences during the two weeks that I stayed there, and I can see why. With its slightly crazy pool, the place was fun for the families of adults who were spending their time off at \"serious\"' meetings. It was also neatly and courteously kept, with genuine attention and consideration for the needs of people who were in town to get things done. With large, comfortable rooms, a good breakfast service, and a solid steakhouse restaurant, most travelers can survive nicely. True, those traveling by automobile would find it easier to get to nearby commercial centers for exchange or shopping, but the place itself is a solid value.

Guanajuato is a gorgeous town and full of life with students. Great food, amazing architecture.The hotel is nice enough. It is a roadside hotel very far from the center of town. You will have to take a taxi wherever you go. Taxis are cheap but if you go to town twice a day it will add up to 20$. More importantly you cannot just walk outside the hotel and take in a beautiful crisp night in town. Rooms are large and nice enough with typical mexican decor. But there was no hot water for 3 days in my room. This is completely unacceptable to me at this price range. I would not stay here again.

Best kept secret of Guanajuato
I went to Guanajuato to study Spanish. The hotel is on the outskirts of town, but that isn't a factor. Buses leave across the street and go straight to the center of town for onle 5 pesos. Central de autobuses, the interstate bus terminal is only a two minute walk away. These buses go anywhere in Mexico including the leather capital of Mexico, León, which is only 45 minutes away. The hotel rooms are very nice, food is good, facilities are great, staff is friendly and very helpful. The only thing missing is more guests. Not many guests there at all. It is hard to imagine why this hotel isn't sold out.

Hotel & Spa Quinta Las Alondras is a beautiful hotel. Starting with check-in the reception is more than efficient and you immediately feel that they want to please you. The rooms are very large and well appointed. The restaurant was good. Didn't try the spa but will on my return. Would definitely recommend this hotel for business travlers, family's and weekend retreats.

This hotel is comfortable, however it does not offer the best service. In particular when it comes to their laundry service. I had asked the front desk to pick up my clothes for laundry and when I came back it was not picked up. Apparently they forgot, and left this hotel with dirty clothes. It was very dissapiointing, even though they promised me that it was gonna get picked up and 8hrs later it was still in my room. On the contrary, the bell hopper always seem to be upset, and not willing to help out guests. If he does its because he has no other choice. However, their continental breakfast is not bad, dont pay for the full breakfast (I think its a waste of money) there is plenty that the complementary breakfast offers. With that sais, I highly recommend the TACO stand that is right next to the hotel, it opens in the evening. I think they made best tacos ( and I eat a lot of tacos) you wont regret it.

A little far from \"Centro\", but a quick $45 peso cab ride and we were there. The advantage was lot's of peace and quiet at the hotel. We did a one day trip to San Miguel de Allende, and the road there was a block away from the hotel. Friendly staff, very clean and an excellent free breakfast,including a buffet on Sunday that's way above average.

A gorgeous hotel, with wonderful rooms that's very close to the bus station, but relatively far from central Guanajuato. You'll have to take a taxi to get into town -- there's no way to walk it. The taxi is cheap, but it's inconvenient to go back-and-forth, and if you like to step out your hotel and be in the thick of things, then this isn't the place for you. If you want a lovely hotel that's a bit out of the way, then this is your place.

)The building was constructed in 1890, during the Porfiriato era. At this time, Guanajuato and all of Mexico were under French influence, traces of which can still be seen today.
The hotel belonged to the Malo family, who were also resident in it. The head of the household had a penchant for carpentry and built the wooden staircase railings, which have been preserved to the present day.
The boutique hotel was renovated in 1998, and again in 2006, and great value was placed on the details, so that the appointment reflects an interaction of classical European style and the beauty of Mexican craftsmanship. The resulting cosy and elegant atmosphere was awarded four diamonds by the American automobile club, the AAA, for six years in succession.
The hotel comprises a total of 17 rooms as well as a lobby area with a reception desk manned around the clock, a currency exchange facility and lift access.
