My flight at HAM was cancelled at the last moment. I had no remaining options that day and needed a place to stay. I was able to walk to this hotel (about a 15 minutes). The hotel is an old building with dated furniture. That said, the staff was great, and the room was clean. The breakfast was very nice. A few restaurants are also within walking distance.
I would stay here again.

Very friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast room/continental breakfast for 12 Euros extra. Free shuttle to the airport from the Marriott hotel(adjacent to the Kocks hotel). Within 10 minutes walking distance to airport.
There is no elevator in this hotel and bathroom was very small ( my knees where touching the wall when sitting on toilet). Needs to be renovated.

Good place to stay

It is a charming hotel not far from the airport. It is a little bit outdated, with mold in the bathroom, and a damp smell by the reception area and hallway. Our room was supposed to have one double bed, we were given a room with two single beds. Basic breakfast, very welcoming and helpful staff. Overall for one night was ok.

In the room I had on the 2nd floor, I thought that the room furniture was very outdated, it looked like something from the 1970's, the shower was awkward for me to get in and out of as the shower base was about 18\"-20\" (45-50cm) deep. Also the lighting in the corridor between the stairs and my room was dark at night, I had to use the light on my phone as the light illumination was from the stairs sign above the exit door.

Close to transport but not great for sleeping

The main issue in the hotel are the floorboards - they creak like mad. Even though there are no flights between 10.30pm and 6pm you can't get sleep as every step on the stairs and in the rooms seems to creak.

Great airport hotel

Excellent location for an airport hotel. And the free shuttle service is very helpful. There is also an excellent vegan restaurant close by for dinner -- The Vegan Eagle. We had some noisy neighbhours beside us that made it a little difficult to get to sleep but our room had an extra door to the bedroom that reduced noise. Very comfortable beds.

It is ok for just one night to catch the flight.

I was surprised that there was not a coffee machine in the room. I always like to drink coffee at odd hours and it was not convenient.
No soap in shower. Just one in the sink for washing hands.
Any other cheap hotel or motel has soap in the shower.
We did not take shower because of that.

Great place extremely close to the airport. It's about a 10 to 15 minute walk. Reasonably priced. The room and bathroom had plenty of space. No air conditioner. One thing, being that close to the airport, the planes fly right over the motel to land. They stop later in the evening. Kind of noisy. Not many restaurant choices in the area.

Close to the airport. But good experience stops there. Stinks of smoke. Rooms haven't been updated since the 90s. First room I was given still had the previous inhabitant's dirty sheets. Second bedroom hadn't been made up so i made the bed myself; and there was no towel. Walls were paper thin and you could hear everything going on in the next door room. The free apple in the reception was rotten (probably why it was free). Should have stayed somewhere cheaper and nicer and paid for a taxi to the airport. Or even walked!

The location is excellent, a 2 minute free shuttle bus to the airport; I arrived at the hotel by public transportation and no problem either, I walked maybe 5 minutes from the closest Subway station.
Small intimate hotel with very helpful and friendly staff; rooms are basic but very clean and have everything you could need for a stopover. For a small fee you can enjoy a nice german breakfast buffet with fresh buns and breads, jams, eggs, cold cut and cheese, yoghurt etc. Wifi is free but not very consistent and slow.

Good for a night by the airport

The place is located within walking distance of the airport (less than 1km) but they also offer a shuttle. They have a very early breakfast (4am) in case you have an early flight. The room was clean and spacious, though obviously old. You can hear the planes, but it isn't that loud. Staff was very helpful and friendly. It is also only a short walk from the U1 line (or the S1 line at the airport). My only complaint is that the internet is very spotty and hard to connect to. I highly recommend eating from the pizza place just up the street; very good pizza! If you want a place to stay for a night, it'll serve you just fine.

The hotel was less than a 3 minute drive to the airport. The hotel offers free shuttle. There is a very nice German Restaurant called Rotbuche down the road from the hotel. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again!

I had traveled in Germany and other surrounding countries for 3 weeks. I stayed at Kock's Hotel the last 2 nights of my trip because it was close to the Airport. I was very pleased with the accommodations and friendliness of the Hotel Staff. Very good choice and I will stay here again when the opportunity presents itself.

Nice hotel near Hamburg airport

My granddaughter and I stayed at this hotel the night before our early morning flight from Hamburg. It is a small hotel without an elevator. It is about 5 minutes from the airport and provides a free shuttle but you could likely walk to the airport if you wanted to. The room was small but exceptionally clean as was the bathroom. The beds were comfortable. The wake-up call came at the time requested. They start serving breakfast at an extra charge at 4:00 but our early departure precluded eating at that time. I would reserve at this hotel in future.

Great price and exceptionally close to the airport. If it had not rained, we would have walked.
The room was very small, but nice. Beds were twin sized but comfy. We did not try the breakfast, since we had to leave before it was served. They had an airport shuttle, but again, not as early as we needed it. Personnel was friendly and helpful.

We stayed at Kocks Hotel on both ends of our European trip. The hotel is SUPER convenient to the airport. A fine breakfast is served and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. There appears to be a variety of room sizes. There is a busy road on two sides of the hotel, planes are landing not far away and yet it could not be called noisy. Driving in this area of Hamburg is a challenge even with a GPS. (Driving to the airport is no problem, perhaps taking less than five minutes.) We would stay there again and are happy to recommend them..

The Kocks is a small hotel, very close to the airport. Perfect to spend a night here before early flight in the morning. They offer free airport shuttle from the Courtyard Marriott hotel next door. Breakfast starts at 4am for a small fee. Wifi was included. Room was very clean, bathroom small. One thing that bothered me was that the door did not have a peep hole, but maybe that's not customary in Germany?

Good inexpensive hotel near airport

We stayed here for 1 night because we had an overnight layover in Hamburg. We collected our bags and walked to the hotel along a nice bike path it was about 15 minutes of easy walking.
The lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful. We had two rooms, each with two twin beds. It was clean but very sparse and a little worn. But I cannot complain; for the price it was great. The room was quiet and the windows opened so we could get some air, I heard no street noise.
It was a very short walk to the underground station and a quick inexpensive ride into the city where we walked around and had dinner. There is not much in the hotel neighborhood a few restaurants and a mattress shop but mostly apartments.
The continental breakfast was nice, they had coffee, yogurt, pastries, sandwich meats, cereal and fruit. 8 euro for adults 4 for the kids.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful since we spoke minimal German.
I would definitely stay here again if I needed to be by the airport.
There are no elevators though so if mobility is an issue it could be difficult to get luggage up the stairs to the 2nd and 3rd floors. Also the TV has no English channels which might bother some.
They have a complimentary airport shuttle which they share with the Marriott next door. We took it in the morning it was literally 2 minutes and we saw a few people walking.

Great Location for Hamburg Airport Travel

This hotel is very close to the Hamburg Airport. They offer a shuttle that runs every 30 minutes to the airport. They didn't tell me this up front, thankfully I asked- the shuttle leaves from the Marriott next door.You can also opt to buy breakfast, I didn't but looked like it was some breads, jams, meats, cheeses, etc. The hotel is small, very cute and clean. The surrounding neighborhood is nice with a few restaurant options within walking distance (I highly recommend Joey's Pizza!).

Very nice place , close to the airport!

When arriving at the Hamburg airport after a long international flight, the Knocks Hotel is the place to stay. Close to the airport, very friendly service and a really German breakfast is available, with perfectly soft boiled eggs. The room was comfortable and very clean, and the air planes that fly right over the hotel, are not noticable during the night. I would recommend the Knocks Hotel anytime!

Meine Frau und ich und Freunde von uns waren mit dem Zimmer was sehr sauber war sehr zufrieden. Es gab jeden Morgen ein leckeres frisches Frühstück und das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und erfüllte unsere Wünsche.
Das Hotel hat einen eigenen Parkplatz und liegt ganz in der Nähe vom Flughafen.
Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Für eine Nacht ausreichend. Personal sehr gut aber das Hotel ist richtig in die Jahre gekommen. Alles sehr alt und hellhörig. Ich konnte selbst das Umdrehen im Bett im Nachbarzimmer hören. Das permanente Fußboden Geknarsche war gewöhnungsbedürftig. Lage des Hotels ok und der Airport Shuttle benötigt ca. 5 Minuten. Das Frühstück ist nicht variantenreich und für 12 Euro nicht angemessen. Für eine Nacht war es ausreichend aber niemals länger.

Det er 3. Gang vi overnatter på dette hotel før en rejse fra Hamborg lufthavn.

Das Hotel ist nur eine Haltestelle vom Flughafen entfernt. Darum haben wir das Gebucht. Wir brauchten das Zimmer nur bis 4 Uhr morgens. Da wir mit einem 8-Jährigen Kind angereist sind, haben wir das Zimmer 34 erhalten - mit einem ausklappbaren Bett und viel Platz. Es war alles wunderbar. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Volle Empfehlung!

Det var en godt værelse og lydtæt, vi havde værelse 13, hvilket er ind mod p gården, hvilket var rigtig godt da hotellet ligger lige ved indflyvningen til Hamborg lufthavn og en større vej, der er 1 min i bil til lufthavnen. Morgenmaden er det der trækker meget ned i min bedømmelse. Det var som om at brødet var sådan nogen rundstykker fra Hattings som varmes op i ovnen, de var noget tørre, ligesom det pålæg der var, æg der nok skulle være blødkogt var som når jeg lave hårdkogte hjemme. Ville jeg komme igen? Ja, men jeg ville nok springe morgenmaden over.

Ein in die Jahre gekommenes funktionelles Hotel 800 m vom Flughafen entfernt. Gut mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichbar.
Sauber, neue Fenster. Bett nicht durchgelegen. Insgesamt sehr heiß im Zimmer, trotz gekipptem Fenster wenig Veränderung.
Die Zwischentüren zu den einzelnen Etagen sind sehr schwer und fallen dadurch ordentlich ins Schloss. Ich bin um 3.15h zum Flughafen und früh zu Bett, wenn andere Gäste wieder gekommen sind, war das schon etwas störend.
Keine Beurteilung des Frühstücks möglich.
Würde aber auf Grund der Nähe zum Flughafen wieder kommen. Fuhlsbüttel hat einige Restaurants und Läden, in denen man gut Essen kann.
Der Flughafen HH öffnet erst um 3:45h, d.h es macht keinen Sinn früher da zu sein. Ein Hinweis von Seiten des Hotels wäre schön gewesen, da ein Taxi für mich geordert wurde. Eigener Flughafen Transfer beginnt ab 5h.

Sehr netter Empfang bei der Anreise. Für eine Übernachtung vor einem Flug können wir dieses Hotel nur empfehlen. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist völlig in Ordnung.
Gute Lage, zu Fuß ist der Flughafen sehr schnell zu erreichen. Es gibt aber wohl auch einen Shuttleservice, den wir nicht genutzt haben. Wir würden dieses Hotel wieder buchen.

Bien mais situé au mauvais endroit

Hotel trop proche de l'aéroport pour qu'un Taxi accepte de vous prendre.
A pied, le trajet est dangereux (en bord de roure).
Tout le reste est parfait.

Freundlichkeit und Nähe zum Flugplatz. Parkplatz auf dem Hof. Kleines Hotel aber mit allem, was nötig ist. Frühstück war auch gut.

Vi brugte hotellet som overnatning inden rejse fra Hamborg Lufthavn. Lille men pænt hotel med egen lille parkering. Meget tæt på lufthavnen, kun 2 minutters direkte kørsel. Venligt personale. Rumlig værelse med nyere badeværelse. Mulighed for tilkøb af morgenmad, som vi dog ikke benyttede os af. Benytter gerne hotellet igen, også for en byferie i Hamborg.

Helt Ok nära flygplatsen, parkering på gården, bra frukost, rymligt rum med allt som behövs.
