The hotel is in the middle of nowhere.....no drug stores, grocery or other services were 2-3 km away from the hotel. Sometimes you just want an ice cream cone or a coffee shop.....all about a 10 Euro cab ride away. The \"mall\"???? is in total shambles and they shut down at 5-6 in the evening.

Nice stop for a short business trip. Enjoyed the small sauna and the room was quite comfortable. U bahn is a fair walk away but there is a rental bike station just outside. No nice restaurants in the immediate area, so need to travel. No need for an alarm clock as the hotel is in the flight path for the airport and flights start around 6 am.

Helloween Finale!

Professional and courteous staff throughout from the smooth check-in process and no query was too difficult to the smooth check-out. Taxi to the airport booked for our return leg was completed within 5 minutes of our request. Room was well equipped, although the bathrooom/toilet was a little on the small side. The meals in the restaurant were a good range of locally recipes and generous portions, just a shame that we arrive too late on the first day to enjoy the menu fully. A later kitchen closure would be very much appreciated by guests who arrive later in the evening. However we would be happy to come back to this hotel again and good enough for two of the guitarists from Helloween to stay in! Thank you to all the staff for your professionalism and courteous service throughout our stay, it was very much appreciated.

In most respects, I was happy with the hotel. The big negative was that, despite paying extra for a Superior Room with Double Bed, the room actually contained two narrow single beds pushed together, so it was not as advertised on Expedia. I have previously stayed at many other hotels in Germany, and the room was always as advertised, with a proper double bed. I very rarely give negative reviews, but having a proper double bed was important, and I do expect the room to be as advertised on Expedia, especially when I pay extra for a Superior Room.

- There is no air conditioning in the rooms. This means that the rooms are stiflingly hot in the evening. It's very uncomfortable. I had to ask for a portable fan which was not enough

Work Hotel - great breakfast!!

Hotel has a great breakfast! My bathroom was configured odd (might be just mine) such that my head almost hit the ceiling the shower. Beds were very comfortable.
I was on the first floor so that might have something to do with it. First floor also gets a lot of noise from the loading docks just below for the resturant. The attached restaurant had good food as well.

I choose hotel because convenient to work. But there are not any restaurants to eat dinner at within 0.5 miles so you have to walk. Convenient to 3 different train stops so easy to get down town.

Very nice Hotel Close to Hamburg Airport

Stayed one night in order to be close to the Hamburg Airport for an early flight. Upon arriving, I was upgraded to a family suite. The rooms were very clean and modern and the bathroom was up to date, clean, and spacious. The room was equipped with a small mini bar and all items were complimentary.

Best of all was the hotel staff. They were very attentive and friendly and made checking in and out a quick and efficient process. Only complaint is parking - parking sports are a little tight and it was 11 Euro to park overnight - but then again, you pay for parking almost anywhere in Germany.

The hotel was serving appetizers for free in the lobby and also has an onsite restaurant. I stuck with the free appetizers and was surprised at how good they were.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for both business and family travel.

Nice enough \"business\" hotel, clean, friendly check-in, free wifi. Good location if visiting any the numerous nearby offices, otherwise a little out of the city centre.
Coffee available in public areas is a nice touch, as is tea & coffee making facilities in room. Room was rather warm despite heating being off - windows do open but on the airport flight path so expect some aircraft noise with the window open.

Almost perfect

My one complaint is that there was no shuttle service from the airport (the hotel website said there was and that was a factor in booking for me). It was only about a €13 taxi ride though. The staff was wonderfully polite and helpful, the room was immaculate and very comfortable and the hotel breakfast was completely worth the extra charge. I like to eat healthy even while traveling and they provided many tasty options!

Acceptable to most but know in advance...

This is a comfortable and efficient hotel that worked fine for me. Be aware of physical demands: the bath/shower is two feet high to step into. The soap dish requires reaching outside the shower. There is no minibar but a vending machine downstairs that even dispenses beer! The restaurant shut down but served in the bar and/or room service. There was no inexpensive airport shuttle but taxis are quick and cost $13 or so. None of these efficiencies bothered me but you need to be aware. Great wifi.

OK Hotel with hit-and-miss staff

The hotel is OK as it's located in a convenient location for businesses in City Nord. However, the staff can be quite standoffish - perhaps it's a German Thing. Also, there aren't many restaurants in the area so it's a bit boring in the evenings.

A little hard to find

The room and hotel were modern, but the bathroom was tiny and the door to it only opened halfway because of the toilet. It was very narrow to walk into. I liked the tv. My room was supposed to have a complimentary minibar, although there wasn't a refrigerator or any minibar items in the room assigned to me at all. Since the housekeeping staff were gone for the night and they didn't give me another room just like it, there was nothing that could be done except for a welcome drink coupon for the on-site bar. I was very disappointed about the lack of a free minibar in my room.

Convenient for both city and airport

We always stay here when we come to Hamburg, as it is close to the airport but has excellent transport links in to town. The local area is also nice, with a beautiful park and some interesting mid 20th century architecture. Although there is not much in the way of facilities in the immediate vicinity. There are some excellent restaurants in nearby suburbs.

Hotel was a little run down when we first stayed there, but has since had a major upgrade. Good restaurant and bar.

This is a great hotel for business travelers. The rooms are spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable, the wifi fast and reliable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Close to public transport and a 10 minute cab ride from the airport.

Lovely hotel overall!

Don't be fooled by the mediocre exterior, inside it is lovely and clean and inviting. Breakfast was really really nice with a few cooked elements and many cereal/pastry/bread elements. Not sure if it is worth €12pp however try it once as it was lovely and the restaurant was great too. The only downside being the awful pillows! They were down pillows so when you laid on them all the air escaped leaving practically nothing to lay on and it was comfier to sleep with no pillow than with. However, everything else was perfect and I would definitely recommend - just maybe ask for an extra set of pillows for comfort!

We stayed two nights, a couple with a baby.

It was very comfortable for our stay, which was short. The service was good and the hotel staff were helpful. For example one staff member explained how to have free internet by joining their loyalty club, which saved me a lot of money. We did not eat at the hotel. The room was large and clean, in good condition.

Convenient hotel if you are working in City Nord

This is a good hotel if you are working in the City Nord area of Hamburg. The downside is that there aren't any restaurants nearby so if you want to have a meal in the evening, you have to go to the hotel bar or order a limited no of room service dishes. Also, wifi is not free unless you are a Leonardo Advantage Club member - probably the only reason to become one! In addition, breakfast is a ridiculous EUR12 in addition!

The Good: the food in the hotel restaurant was wonderful! The room was fine - nothing fancy, but fine. The Bad: We were placed in the room right on the end next to the elevator - so loud!!! We could hear the machinery for the elevator operation, the squeaky doors, and of course the people coming and going. Not good when we had to go to bed early for a 6 am flight in the morning. Don't accept any of the rooms with 01 number (301, 401, etc) - way too loud! Oh, and there are no washcloths provided or hair conditioner. Only a dispenser on the shower wall with a shampoo/body wash combo. Tub is very narrow and the shower curtain sticks to you when it is wet. They need to install the curved bars to give more room.

The shower is not very powerful or nice. The location was handy for us as we went to a concert at the Stadtpark. However, in general there are little to no amenities around. The hotel is reasonably well situated for the airport though (which was also handy) -- 3 stops with the S-bahn after a 15 minute walk from there. It is hard to believe this hotel is rated 4-star. Makes you wonder about the criteria.

Queens Hotel Hamburg - Great for business

Very nice and clean hotel and resemblant of German efficiency.

The breakfast buffet was top notch and puts most continental breakfasts offered by more expensive hotels to shame.

The front desk staff were excellent and very friendly.

It's a shame that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere and ideally used when doing business in City Nord or near the airport.

No way four stars

For a hotel that bills itself as a four star hotel, this Best Western has some catching up to do.
We were on the fourth floor. There is no elevator to the rooms on the fourth floor. Yes, you can go to the sauna, but the rooms starting at 448 I think, have to climb the stairs. You go to the third floor, and climb the stairs up to your room.
Not a problem, unless you are carrying two big suitcases. Very disappointed.

Das Personal war freundlich, das Zimmer sauber.
Leider war die Dichtung am Fenster undicht, sodass es gezogen hat. Jedoch haben wir einfach den Vorhang vorgezogen, hat zwar etwas gedauert bis es warm wurde, aber ging dann.
Eine Ablage näher an der Toilette und ein Handtuchhalter in der Nähe des Waschbeckens wären wünschenswert, aber hat den Aufenthalt nicht verschlechtert.

Anfang November. Bei Ankunft war Fenster offen, das nur vom Personal geschlossen werden konnte (fehlender Griff), somit war das Zimmer deutlich unterkühlt. Und erst noch einmal ein Gang zur Rezeption. Lampe am Bett links war defekt, Lampe am Bett rechts hatte Wackelkontakt, bei der Bodenlampe fehlte die Birne. Personal hat das geprüft, aber keine Lösung oder anderes Zimmer angeboten. Gottseidank funktionierte die Schreibtischlampe … Mosaik-Fliesen in der Dusche abgeschabt, altersbedingt. Nur ein Aufzug in Betrieb, man wartet da mal etwas länger. Frühstück gut, daher noch 3 Sterne.

Die Dame beim Check In war sehr arrogant. Sie fragte, ob ich mit dem Auto gekommen bin. Ich sagte ja. \"Dann buche ich die 15 Euro noch nach\" war ihre Reaktion. Auf meine Frage, weshalb, sagte sie \"weil das Parken 15 Euro pro Tag kostet\". Ich: ich parke hier ja aber nicht\". Sie: aber sie haben doch gesagt, dass sie mit dem Auto gekommen sind. Ich: ja, das war ja auch ihre Frage. Von Parken war nicht die Rede. Sie (sehr abfällig): Na, das war ja wohl klar, dass ich das meine. Weshalb sollte ich sonst fragen, ob sie mit dem Auto gekommen sind!? Habe dann darauf nicht mehr geantwortet...war mir zu dumm.
Zimmer: Das Zimmer war für mich alleine groß genug und es war sauber. Nett war die kostenlose Flasche Appolinaris. Die Matratze in meinem Bett war allerdings total durchgelegen (hatte schon eine \"Mulde), sodass es eine unruhige und für meinen Rücken eine schmerzhafte Nacht war. Das Bad war ebenfalls sauber. In der Dusche war der Wasserdruck allerdings so gering, dass ich schon fast mit der Nase an der Wand stand, um vollständig unter dem Duschstrahl zu stehen.
Frühstück: Dies ist ja immer individuelle Ansichtssache. Für mich, als sich gesund ernährender Sportler, war es großartig. Alles da, was man braucht. Quark, Joghurt, Haferflocken, kleine Vollkornbrötchen, Rührei, verschieden Früchte, verschiedene Wurst und Käsesorten und und und... Die Dame am Empfang beim Frühstück war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Geen 2 persoons dekens. Het 2 persoons bed was letterlijk 2 1 persoons bedden aan elkaar geschoven. Kussens voelen als opblaas kussens.

Zit naast een was straat waar veel mensen naast de auto met muziek staan, zeer storend als je in een teams meeting zit of wil slapen.

Personeel is vriendelijk, eten is goed, parkeren moet je mee opletten want ze rekenen zo 4 euro extra per dag.

Gutes Hotel in ruhiger Lage mit genug Parkmöglichkeiten. Die Einrichtung ist teilweise etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber immer sauber. Das Frühstück ist wirklich klasse und der Check Out ist bis 12:00 möglich. Das Personal ist immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich würde das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen.

Ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber. Man hörte die Dusche aus dem Nebenzimmer und auch den ein oder anderen Streit aus den Nachbarzimmern. Der Aufzug funktionierte nicht, es gab zwar den Personalaufzug aber dieser war sehr schmuddelig. Das Personal war sehr freundlich

Wir buchten das Hotel um nach dem Konzert nicht nach Hause fahren zu müssen. Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage zur Sporthalle, welche Fußläufig in 30 Minuten zu erreichen ist.
Wir hatten ein sehr komfortables Zimmer. Am Abend konnten wir noch ein Getränk im Restaurant genießen. Es gibt eine gute Auswahl an Alkoholischen und Alkoholfreien Getränken.
Am Morgen gab es ein reichhaltiges Frühstück mit fleischhaltigen und Veganen Speisen. Wir würden immer wieder kommen.

가성비 아주 좋고 나이스한 호텔

위치 자체가 좋은건 아니지만 바로 옆에 커다란, 평화로운 공원도 있고, 호텔 방도 엄청 큰데다가 제공되는 서비스가 너무 좋습니다. 스낵과 음료가 종류별로 부족하지 않게 계속 제공되고, 카운터에 과일이나 젤리, 정수기도 부담없이 이용할 수 있습니다.

Familienzimmer gebucht, nur ein Doppelbett erhalten.
Sie seien ausgebucht und haben keine Möglichkeit uns 3 unterzukriegen.
\"Da haben Sie wohl pech\" wurde an der Rezeption gesagt.

Bwim Frühstücksbuffet sehr unfreundliches und patziges Personal!
