This hotel has it all, beaches on both sides, kind and helpful staff, exeptional beach front dining & swimming, eat your morning breakfast or dinner and roll into the sea for a fresh swim, we stayed in the 2nd floor double bed rooms, perfect views of the monkeys playing in the trees with cascading limestone mountains in the distance. This is the most affordable luxury place to stay on Raleigh Beach

Railay is a great spot for a few days. Great access to west Railay Beach and short stroll to walking path to Phra Nang too. Breakfast options were sufficient - a few Thai dishes, salads, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, pancakes or French toast, coffee machines and you can order eggs to your liking. Rooms are a little tired and I had to go buy hair conditioner and body lotion as room only provided a combined shampoo/conditioner and body wash. Mini bar was stoked daily which was great as we had snacks every day so didn’t need to buy anything. Definitely worth checking out Railay if you are there, much more peaceful than Ao Nang.

The room was comfortable but we were very disappointing to find we were 10min away from the beach, the swimming pool and restaurant. Our room was closer to the other bay in the east side where is not possible to swim. We traveled with our 5yo so it was very inconvenient to go back and forth from the room to the beach. I think the location of room should be disclosure during booking to make an informed choice.

Great location on the bay; the best attribute. Hotel service was good, restaurant/bar not so much - most seemed they didn't want to be there and I was there many days (comparable to competing resort properties). Restaurant was disappointing so after first day we always sought alternatives, which there are several. The top reason to stay there is location.

I loved the privacy of our pool villa but my ONLY issue was that the pool was not heated and was quite cold..even in the hot weather it needed to be warmer. Plus they didn’t have any lamps. The lights were a little weird in the room.

We loved Railay Bay Resort and wish we stayed longer. I had 2 massages with Kate which were excellent. The only downside is the restaurant on location is quite average. The restaurant is very understaffed, but otherwise the rest of the resort seemed well taken care of with plenty of help.

The atmosphere was calm and friendly. Staff very attentive. Monkeys, lizards and exotic birds visiting everyday. Two great pools, the one outside our terrace was peaceful, always sun loungers available. Good choice at breakfast but lunch and dinner prices quite expensive in comparison to local restaurants. Stayed in a ‘Mai Phai Tropical Villa’ which was renovated to a reasonable standard and was reasonably spacious. The vegetation surrounding the villa and the inner walkways was well kept. The bed was comfortable and there were clean sheets. There were sufficient chairs and a sofa. The standard of cleanliness in the villa was reasonable. White towels provided and beach towels plus a carry bag. Complementary drinks/snacks in the minibar. Overall the villas are close to each other laid out in rows with small walking avenues in between, there is one main avenue for the hotel tuk tuks to take guests from the pier to the reception area and for villa services. The main avenue is not very nice and it’s smelly. There are two very small swimming pools in compact areas. The reception area is not welcoming and the staff were unenthusiastic, fed up, tired and their English is very basic. When asked questions they were not interested in replying if it was outside of their rehearsed lines. The restaurant food is very poor and expensive for what it is, the staff are again not as you would expect for this supposed quality of hotel. The breakfast was extremely poor quality and we felt sick after the dishes we ate. Tablecloths, cutlery and furniture were old and worn. Not one guest smiled for our stay, this said it all, guests were unhappy. Website is cleverly marketed with empty beach etc, this is not how it is. This was a disappointing stay and Railay is too overcrowded. Best to avoid.

Excellent property that has a couple great pools, lots of chairs and umbrellas to hide from the sun. The garden and greenery were well tended. Great location on the beach slightly away from all the boats launching but not too far to have to carry your bags. In front of the hotel there is an area cordoned off for swimming and that’s right out front of the property. Restaurant served a great variety of breakfast at their buffet which was included in our stay. Only negative comment would be that the rooms could use a bit of a refresh. We had an excellent stay. Feb 10-13th 2025.

This is a beautiful property and my pickup at the airport and long boat ride to resort was great. The villas huge and the terrace was a great place to enjoy the wonderful trees and flowers all around. The views of the mountains was amazing. We stayed in a privacy cottage and it was great! Small sitting area with a pond that was full of flowers and frogs, also had a small jacuzzi bath outside. Room itself was large and spacious with great AC! Comfortable bed and very prompt room service.

Pool area was lovely with tremendous views of Railay beach. Restaurant was good and the bar is accessible between both the room and beach.

We loved our stay and would feel very good about returning one day!

Probably the best resort on Railay Beach. Beautiful location. Pool and restaurant are beach front. One negative is that the only beach chairs were at the pool. None of the resorts have umbrellas or chairs for the actual beach, which I suppose is because of the limited space. The restaurant was mediocre, which is the reason for 4 starts. While the free breakfast was pretty good - eggs cooked your own way, variety of hot foods. It is halal. BUT we had to hunt down servers to get our check every afternoon. Food is just ok on regular menu, Thai food much better than the other choices. We had a cute cottage with enclosure. Very cute, but couldn't use jacuzzi because the water seemed to back up into it...

The first impression was not great, as I asked for directions on how to get to the hotel and they just answered with their own overpriced transport service, which qas more than double what it costs to get a taxi from the airport + boat. The rooms were big but just ok for the price. The star of the hotel is the pool and the facilities by the beach, which we enjoyed a lot. Receptionists were super friendly. Railay itself was just incredible and I can’t recommend it enough

The location to the beach is great. The restaurant breakfast is horrible. Especially with no vegan options except salad (lettuce, tomato) and watermelon. Bathrooms need updating…our shower smelled like poo for days and had to be fixed. The bed made huge creaking sounds everytime you got on and off. The spa in front of our room looked undesirable. The monkeys attacked my daughter when walking by. Front staff was nice. Centara grand we stayed at next was a dream.

Railay beach itself is gorgeous and this hotel has beautiful grounds, stunning grounds. We stayed in a private pool Villa and it was the best decision. The room was clean, spacious, and modern. The pool for the hotel is one of the few on the beach, it’s also stunning. To get to the hotel you will need to transfer to Ao nammao pier and take a longtail boat to Railay East floating pier. From there it’s a short walk to where a hotel golf cart can pick you up.

No hot water in both rooms of us and our friends, repair man could not solve it.
The staff is very slow and not supporting when something was requested (extra towels were not allowed as we were \"only two in the room, so can have only 2 towels\".
Nothing much to do around in the evening, only one street with few shops bars and restaurants.

Beautiful location particularly in less crowded sandbox circumstances. All hotels have clearly struggled and some of this shows. Breakfast less extensive than previous visits but egg station still very good. Jacuzzi in villa is in need of maintenance. Not all jets work and filler too slow needed to use outside shower to fill! Most staff helpful and well organized transfers from Ao Nam Mao. Hotel has a beachfront pool but it was used by non residents as security was inadequate to identify hotel guests.
Grounds generally well kept but area around East entrance really quite shabby and contrast to West end of resort. Overall very good value as rates are significantly lower than previous visits.

Beautiful but slightly run down hotel in West Railay. Skeleton crew currently because of covid, so some trash around the property, no spa or bar, and the hotel restaurant/room service is open from 8 to 5. Most people staying had given up on the hotel food and gone to the nearby Walking Street\" for the many open takeaway or sit-down restaurants. Be careful about eating outside, you may be attacked by monkeys.

Two pools were open and beautifully maintained. The Railay Bay beach was beautiful and quiet, with a paddleboard/kayak rental shop next door. Short walk to boats on the other side in East Railay. Housekeeping staff was sometimes aggressive about kicking you out to make up the room. Not much to do in Krabi but overall enjoyed a quiet week on the beach

One of 4 on the west beach of Railay. Dated rooms and fairly rough service, they were already inside the room cleaning as we were still packing and calling incessantly to shoo us out. Frozen pizza at the restaurant cost more than the wood-fired pizzas on the eat street 5 minutes away. Outdoor dining area nice though, just steps from the sand.

Amazing stay, don't bother w/ breakfast

The hotel was incredible, the jacuzzi suite is well worth it if you take the time to get the water hot (ie: use the electric kettle to add a few liters of boiling water), and the views are unbeatable. Plus there is so much great climbing around the area. The only things that weren't great were the breakfast and the shuttle. The breakfast was bland and mediocre and the shuttle cart barely ever brought us across the resort when we asked. The walk across isn't that bad though and there are a bunch of great breakfast places nearby so those didn't take too much away from the experience.

The hotel staff are just unfriendly and not that helpful. They will talk to you nicely but with the forced smile. Everywhere in Railay and Krabi town we mostly met nice and sweet ppl, except in our hotel. How amazing!

Great location and beautiful room. However the booking stated \"free breakfast BUFFET\" every day. However only 1 day out of the 4 days was there a buffet. They changed to \"thai breakfast\" set after the first day.

I really dont like when hotels change that kind of stuff, breakfast buffets are super important to my vacation, its one of the most important things when picking a hotel for me.

So I did not apprecate that. I understand its probably related to the hotel trying to save money due to COVID19.... But I dont apprecate them lying on my booking, even after calling them before arriving to CONFIRM that there was a breakfast buffet every day....

We arrived via the floating pier during low tide- not very attractive and a bear to haul luggage. Once an attendant spotted us, they called for a cart to take us and luggage to other side of the property (beach side). Beautiful view! Check in was easy and quick. We returned for lunch and it was wonderful with great service. Breakfast bar in the morning was also well stocked and staff attentive. Our only real complaint was that pool bar was inattentive- and we were seated at the bar! Additionally, they couldn’t make me a rum and Oj. I had to order OJ through the restaurant, have it sent over and then dump my rum in it. Crazy! Plus, two separate bills. Otherwise, really enjoyed the property and it’s location- especially for the sunset!

I highly recommend this property!! We have stayed here twice and it is the best property on this beach. The location is incredible. Super soft sand. Sunset view from the restaurant. The restaurant has a good variety of Thai and western food, so everyone in my family was happy. The spa is reasonably priced and soo relaxing. The two pools are spotless. The rooms are kept clean and tidy. The staff is professional, kind and helpful. My only criticism is a small one: the bathroom decor is dated. The toilet function is like others in Thailand (no toilet paper into the toilet) which can make for a smelly bathroom.

This hotel is three stars. I stayed in the non private cottage room. It’s a basic spacious room that hasn’t been updated but was very clean.
Cons
The sliding doors lock was difficult to lock and open door to my room.
Horrible WiFi in the room. It kept logging me off. Very strong signal in front desk area.
There are No beach towels in rooms. You Have to walk to get it from pool area.
Pros
The property is about 5 minute walk to the nicer beach and 3 minute to the row of restaurant, shops, and bars.
I would stay again but in the non cottage rooms.

WE LOVE RAILAY BAY. THE PEOPLE THERE ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THIS RESORT WAS THE BEST RESORT WE HAVE STAYED AT YET, AND WE TRAVEL TO RAILAY 2-3 TIMES A YEAR. WE WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK AND STAY HERE AGAIN IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

This hotel is a fantastic deal for the price! Buffet breakfast was great (including omelet bar), location is fantastic and rooms are nice. Basically, you are getting a 4/5 star hotel for a 2/3 star price!
