The staff were super accommodating and friendly, even offering us a free upgrade! Being right on the beach was a huge plus as well. The room was spacious, clean and cool, and there were lots of options for breakfast!

First of all, the staff are very nice, but not that helpful because they really don’t speak English. Check in they don’t tell you anything. Rooms are just old dirty stains in the toilet. The curtains were broken. They switched shrooms. The air conditioning was not any betterTons of flies in my room air-conditioning got to 74 or 24 celsius too hot. There’s nowhere that’s air-conditioned for eating everything‘s outside.
Food was good but limited. Not worth us 100.00 a night.

Loved our stay at this resort as it was exactly what I was looking for in Thailand. Lovely spacious room with lots of windows to enjoy the scenery and greenery Was able to enjoy observing monkeys in the trees overhead and even saw a water monitor in our path one day. Staff was exceptionally helpful. The only negative was that the beds were hard (for me).

Good reasonably priced hotel on beach with good pool and sunbeds. Had to move from tropical villa with outside bathroom due to the amount of mosquitoes. Hotel room with view of pool was very clean and nice ....just location of room meant there were very foul smells of sewerage which other parts of the hotel didnt suffer from.
The concierge staff were amazing as were reception staff. More staff needed in Amazon cafe as waited for over half an hour in queue before giving up. Was lovely to see the monkeys, lizards and butterflies around the resort.

This is a beautiful hotel on the beach. Pool is nice and rooms are very nice. Only complaint would be that they don’t serve alcohol on this property so have to go next door or down walking street. We aren’t big drinkers but it would have been nice to have a drink by the pool. Having said that we would probably stay here again. Definitely looked like the nicest hotel on the little strip

Lovely second floor room, interior but near pool and easy access to breakfast. Outside balcony a nice touch with day bed.
Breakfast good choice.
Beach beautiful before and after day trippers. We were pleasantly surprised that trippers did not spoil the day too much.
The limestone scenery is stunning, pure Krabi/Phang Nga Bay being so close was almost humbling.

We had a very positive experience from the moment we arrived. After getting off our long tail boat, we were picked up by tractor and escorted to our room, which was a unique and memorable start to our stay.
It was my partner’s birthday, which I had mentioned in the booking confirmation, and the staff surprised us with a birthday cake — such a thoughtful gesture that really made the occasion feel special.
The location of the hotel is absolutely superb, right on the Railay Beach front, with stunning views and a truly unbeatable setting.
My only criticism is that the hotel itself looks a little tired in places. For example, the tiling in the pool is worn and in need of repair, and we stayed in a hut which felt quite basic and could definitely benefit from some updating.
That said, I would return to this hotel because the location is simply stunning. Next time, however, I would choose to upgrade the room, as the basic option wasn’t the most comfortable.

Hotel is in desperate need of modernisation, we had an emergency at home and asked to pay to make a phone call home. The request was denied and no help was offered.
We would not recommend or stay at this hotel.
The one exception was Concierge staff who where excellent

It was a really nice set up. The staff are helpful and friendly, the complex is nice, great breakfast, and the location is perfect. My only issue is that I feel our bungalow was pretty worn/dated given the price. It was all functional and comfortable enough, but older looking, and the AC wasn't very strong. There was also animal poop on the outdoor walkways that would be nice to get cleaned up at least on a daily basis (so you don't have to worry about stepping in it).

But all-in-all, we enjoyed our time here and could definitely stay here again.

The room needed updating. One light didn’t work, a towel bar that didn’t seem secure, no running water one morning for a period of time, a sewer like smell in the bathroom one night. Several breakfast food items that should have been hot were consistently room temperature or cold every day. Having said that, the pool area and grounds were always clean and well maintained.

Clean room and the staff was so friendly and kind! The AC was definitely a little older and had trouble keeping up when it was very hot so we had to shut the windows and blinds and out too. Was older. I hear they have renovated rooms, so I’m sure if you got those that wouldn’t be a problem! Beautiful property well maintained and location was incredible! You can wake up to the sunride on one side and end with the sun set on the other. Breakfast was decent with a nice buffet included! Room service was to be desired for, but lots of places you can walk to nearby! I recommend. They also have three pools which all were maintained and nice!

It is a lovely setting & especially the restaurant.
Quiet at night. Our private transfers to & from the airport were excellent. We found it impossible to get a lounger around the 3 pools for the 4 days we were there. Guests even put towels out the night before to reserve their spot. There is meant to be a rule you can leave a towel no longer than an hour. At night between 2-3 there was a dreadful smell of sewage obviously emptying a septic tank or something similar. Rooms were often cleaned between 4-5 and we were there for 5 nights & did not get clean beach towels & bath towels, only on the last night. Staff diving the buggies were very friendly but other staff were not. It is certainly a beautiful area but spoilt by the number of tourists mainly arriving daily on boats.

The pools were always crowded - there were not nearly enough loungers for the number of guests. The food was very average but the view over the beach from the restaurant was lovely. The guys driving the golf buggies were lovely but the rest of the staff did not seem invested in the hotel and guests. The rooms were large but bathrooms need renovation.

Clean room, beautiful property. Excellent service. One of the bellman even chased us down when we were heading to the pier to catch a boat to Ao Nang. He loaded us and our luggage onto a golf cart and drove us to the long tail boats. He went above and beyond for sure! The only complaint was the breakfast was pretty weak. But aside from that, it was an awesome, memorable stay.

The bathroom had a weird smell, sewage type smell, but I’m not sure why because it looked clean.

We had to change room the first time cause it was too loud. Second one was perfect. Not enough security on the resort, everybody can enter in and out from the resort no matter if their guest or not cause the security guards can’t look everywhere.there’s a café Amazon right next to the resort and everybody’s going there from our nine coming from boat and there’s a free access to our resort when you are in the café Amazon so the pool number one right next to the beach get crowded from guest and non-guests.smoking with the big issue they allowed smoking everywhere even in the restaurant.the food smells so good and is so good, but unfortunately, we can’t smell it because of the smoke of a cigarette they should reserve a special spot for people who wants to smoke while eating and let the non-smokers eat and smell their food without smoke, but other than that stuff was so nice so smiley eevery morning great area great place to stay location was perfect. Last thing about the boats who are going to 009 you’re gonna be scam after 6 PM be careful if you need to take a boat after 6 PM to come back to your hotel, you’ll be scam from our nine. You should pay 150 Bath not more than.

A lot of walking, pier seemed like it was a mile long. Distance between accommodation and the sea, is a good walk. Poor communication with English. Not very honest guest, they will try to steal anything they can.

Honest review : Staff was very nice and helpful (for the most part). We had an issue with our neighbors being excessively loud and the combining room door is paper thin, so we heard everything ALWAYS. They would come home at 1am and were so loud and inconsiderate. I understand they are there on vacation and having a good time- just hard to get over when you’re in a dead jet-lagged sleep and woken up abruptly. We had called the front desk but nothing came of it. Then after we checked out ( which I will admit we were 30 mins late getting out of the room)
I had asked the receptionist for some water- she came back and told me “no, not for you anymore” of course with a smile. Guess when you check out- you are no longer considered a guest.
The room was great, curtains blocked the sun and gave great privacy. The pools were clean and perfect temperature. I really disliked the chaise lounges- they were not good for reading or neck support as they do not adjust in the slightest.
The breakfast buffets was wonderful and stoked constantly. We would definitely go back.

Location great however the hotel itself was very dated and in need of attention. Swimming pool 2, the jacuzzi area the concrete was coming away, subbed broken. The swimming pool next to the beach had saved beds from 7 o’clock in the morning so unable to use. No beach sunloungers as advertised on Expedia.
Breakfast very poor quality and most staff wore a ‘training’ name badge and clearly had no leadership or support from the management.
Every day the restaurant ran out of cutlery, cups, bread and other breakfast items which meant having to ask the staff to fill up .. this seemed to cause confusion.
Dinning chairs broken. Staff didn’t clear tables when other tourists had finished breakfast so you needed to ask for a table to be cleaned.
Wi-fi was very poor.
Overall very disappointing, overpriced and in need of staff training and updating in all areas.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sand Sea Resort. The rooms were clean, the location was great, the staff was friendly, and the grounds were well kept. It’s not a 5 star resort, but it is a great value. The only negatives I have are: 1) the walls in the room were thin and we heard our neighbors very clear, especially late at night, and 2) the pillows were not comfortable. But still a great spot for the price!

O café da manhã o tem uma farta opção de café da manhã, com grande parte dedicada a culinária local, mas também tem itens ocidentais como pães, geleias, queijos e frutas.
