This is a good hotel, in a quieter area but on the metro and tram lines. The rooms are good but the bathrooms do not offer much privacy, make sure you don't mind if you're sharing the room. The pool and rooftop bar was closed when we were there which was a shame. Check before you book if this is important to you. The breakfast buffet was very good.

I didn’t like the restaurant at the hotel. The bartender, both the female and the male, were not friendly at all. They didn’t want to give me a beer at 10:50; they said they were closing at 11. I told them I would finish very quickly and leave the restaurant. After that, I didn’t want to come back. There were also housekeeping issues in the hotel, which made my stay uncomfortable.

Pros: Exceptionnel rooftop view! Wow! Very clean and the cleaning staff were very kind, thorough and efficient. Surrounding area was perfect. The Mall was a walk away and hotel was located to several main attractions. Walkable to other attractions. Cabs were very easy to catch. They were parked directly in front of the hotel. I also loved that the bus stop to catch public transit and the city tour buses were all just a very walk away. Cons: The front desk staff could have been more warm and welcoming to guests. A few other staff seemed a bit unpleasant as well. Having to access the gym/sauna from outdoors, meaning no direct access to enter by staying inside the hotel was a poor design/construction on the hotels part. There should also be a more efficient way to access the gym/sauna as a guest. Very inconvenient having to get a separate key from reception and booked time slot to enter. All guests should be able to enter the facilities with just their room key. People go on vacation to relax, and enjoy the amenities with ease. Breakfast was overpriced for what was offered according to the portion sizes. Lastly, the shower/bathroom needs more than just a thin class door separating the beds from the bathroom. No privacy at all which can make sharing a room quite uncomfortable. Overall I enjoyed my stay but would never book a room to share solely because of the poorly designed bathroom. All bathrooms should be sound proof at least.

Ideal location for getting the metro to the central parts of the city, also walkable to explore local neighbourhoods, great views of the Sagrada Família, friendly staff and good service. Felt safe and like we were in touch with the locals without feeling so isolated from the city and attractions.

I will say that the shower in the bathroom had a bit of mould in the ceiling, shower floor was not clean and it seems the shower floor is in need of a good scrub because the dirt seemed semi permanent, we noticed bugs crawling in the ceiling by the window and the mirrored storage cabinets were dirty. The cleaners did a great job of cleaning the rooms so I reckon for these issues are to do with the facilities needing replacing.

The design of the hotel and rooms were beautiful but functionally it wasn’t great.

The shower door didn’t close, so the water sprayed out in the bathroom… but there’s no bathroom door, so it was actually just spraying water into our room.

The room was great for my brother who was a single, but for people sharing a room for 2… it was TINY.

Also - the pool upstairs was kind of disgusting, plastic floating in the pool… cups from drinks, etc.

However the staff were incredible! They helped me when I was sick, they helped us get our airport taxi, they gave us extra towels, brought us tea… they made the hotel a lot better!

Was given a handicap room at checkout, while this was no big deal to me and my boyfriend at the beginning turned into a nightmare. We checked in late at night and the following morning I wake up to shower. I am in there no longer than 10 minutes the drain of the shower was broken by the time I realized the water was going everywhere it was to late. The entire floor of the bathroom and all throughout the bedroom was completely soaked my book bag was on the floor so all my clothes at the bottom was drenched. We go down to the front desk asking for another room and they said no because they were apparently fully booked so we then asked for some compensation back as we are wasting our day because they gave us a faulty shower in our room they said no to that as well and said we’ll send a maid up which took around 40 minutes to clean our room while we waited outside in the hall in our pjs because most of our clothes got wet. Overall our stay here was horrible would not recommend.

It was in a good location, and the breakfast buffet was good. That said, I had several issues that took a few requests to remedy, some I didn't bother with and some that were never remedied.
The middle leg on one twin bed was broken - leading to a sag. I asked for it to be repaired on at least 3 occasions, and on one occasion, they straightened out the leg - but did not repair it (meaning it tipped over as soon as I rolled over on the bed). No rubber mat for the bathtub - and no safety grab bars - so when I had a shower it felt unsafe - I asked, and they suggested I use a towel -which I did and it worked. Glass door into bathroom was misaligned so that it would clang frightfully (as glass hit glass) it took 3 requests to get this fixed 3rd night in. Floor to ceiling metal shelves by the sink were very dirty in all corners - I didn't bother to bring it up. They have an ice machine on every floor -but not one of them works - we had to go down to the restaurant every time we wanted ice. The rooftop restaurant served me a raw in the middle burger. The provided 2 bottles of water - for the first day only - yet the restaurant claimed the water was not fit for consumption. There were a few more minor issues - poor response and poor value overall.

Although the property boast about their fast internet (250M ), it was nearly nonexistent. When I did a speedtest of their wifi it was 9mbps for both download and upload. I booked this hotel for their faster internet availability as I needed to join long business video calls, but it did not work. So I needed to check out straight away (in about one hour after checking the internet speed) and moved to another hotel in about 30 minutes on foot. It was really shocking. To give credit to the hotel, they refunded for the two nights' of fees out of the original three nights. I paid for one-hight, although I only stayed there for 1 hour.

I recently stayed at SB Glow Hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, Sara and the other women at reception were really rude to British guests. They didn’t provide any information on what to do in the area, how transport works, or what’s included in breakfast. They seemed frustrated with our questions and were quite passive-aggressive.

The toilet door was broken and needed to be fixed, and there were stains on the ceiling, which was really unappealing. I asked if there were any upgrade options for our room, but nothing was offered. We didn’t even get a nice view, even though the hotel wasn’t that busy. They could have easily given us a better view of the street.

They also didn’t ask if we wanted a wake-up call for our flight or how we were enjoying the hotel. There was no explanation about the rooftop or other amenities, and not a single smile from the staff. It’s really confusing for a highly rated and expensive hotel to have such poor service. For the amount of money we paid, we expected much better treatment. Overall, I was not happy with how we were treated!

We stayed at the hotel for one night, immediately upon check in the lady on reception was very rude, she barely spoke to us.

The room was perfectly clean and designed nicely.

The pool area on the roof is very nice however there was no bar open, the pool was not heated and there was several leaves in the pool.

We went up to the pool in the evening to look over the skyline of the city however after being up there for a few minutes a member of staff shouted ‘closed’ and followed us to the lift, after shouting she did not say anything.

To summarise the hotel is brilliant but the staff are just shocking, we would not be back because of this.

This was the single worst stay I’ve ever had at a hotel and the singular reason was the staff. I was on a flight for an extra day so they told me they were going to charge me a no-show fee since I was late by a day which is already ridiculous because I prepaid for this stay, who cares if i’m late?
Instead they canceled my whole reservation and forced me to pay again for my entire stay, double-charged me for that stay and were completely belligerent when I asked them to fix that problem. Hopefully my credit card company will fix the double charges cuz there’s no way in hell they’ll be able or willing to fix it at SB. Truly a miss. Please don’t go here

The hotel is overpriced. It charges a 4 star superior experience when it is a 3 star at best. Employees are not kind or useful just ok. The rooms are small and the bathroom is "integrated" ie there is no door you may close between the bathroom and the actual room. So zero intimacy when it is most needed. The gym is small, opens late (8am) and must be booked in advance as only two rooms are allowed in at the same time. I was able to use it only once in 7 days of total stay. Location is not particularly good. The pool and terrace only opens in summer so do not be fooled by the pictures.

We booked hotel for 3 nights, first night we were given a room on 5th floor which had mold odour. The receptionist changed it to a twin room when we notified them. Then we got a room on 6th floor for 2nd and 3rd night. Otherwise property is good. You pay extra for parking, and breakfast. There was one front desk agent who charged us extra and wasn’t willing to help. Very rude. Then majority of our stay we were assisted by Laura who is a gem.

Only downside was to be told swimming pool was closed yet saw some people getting in. Summer season may be finished but 26 degrees is too hot to not use that facility. Views from roof top are amazing, and variety in breakfast is almost excellent (missed some more juice options).

We'll definitely book again. Room was spotless, although tea tray wasn't replenished during our stay (not that was an issue but just to be careful when looking for that excellence). Staff very attentive, probably deserve a pay rise.

The hotel is located very close to a metro station, a hop on hop off bus and public bus. It was also within a quarter mile of a beautiful mall with a supermarket and lots of quick food choices. We would absolutely choose this hotel

This hotel grows on you. First impressions are that the rooms are pretty basic, no luxuries ( altho there were some nice complementary smellies) but we slept well, a/c was good, blackout blinds, helped, as did loads of alcohol. I guess there are three things you should know about:

1, the corridor can be noisy when people close the bedroom doors
2, the bathroom is not properly separated from the bedroom so you can hear people in the toilet
3, the tea / coffee making in room is basic

BUT

Amazing rooftop pool area, good bar, inexpensive, amazing views. Great breakfast, and very friendly staff.

Overall: Great for a fun weekend, amazing pool, breakfast but not luxurious

The room was excellent lobby and restaurant looked okay, if not a little small. Next to the Glories Tower which was stunning. Pool deck was fine, a little small, a little too hot with not much shade, but the bar area was shaded. Room service was good. Front desk people very nice and helpful. Easy to get a cab outside, just seems far from other interesting things to do and no restaurants close by. So, you kind of have to rely on the hotel for food if you don't want to go out searching for something nearby. Took twenty to twenty five minutes to walk to the beach, which we regretted lol. Should have cabbed it. Overall a great place, just a tad isolated for our taste. Airline employees were just checking out when we arrived, so since it was good enough for them, we were happy to stay there. LOVED the view of the tower, still can't get over it, hahaha.

Me and my Daughter went to Barcelona for a 3 day trip. Hotel was brilliant staff so friendly, the iron wasn’t working, they sent another straight up. It was close to a big shopping area which we loved. Also we just jumped a taxi everywhere & it was central. The pool and rooftop bar was gorgeous! The coffee machine in the room did not work but they was lovely and told me to get free coffee in the restaurant. I didn’t have to cos Starbucks a 3 min walk. The staff very friendly and so helpful, place was just brilliant! I would definitely return!!!
