The property was in an area that did not appear safe but was safe and walkable to various shops and restaurants and a shopping mall. It was not too far from the hop on and hop off bus. (one stop from La Sagrada Familia). The staff was helpful and freindly.
I did not like that there were no irons in the rooms. I was in Barcelona for a cruise and wanted to iron some clothes before getting on the ship where irons were not allowed.They did have a steamer, but it did not work that great. I also did not like the fact that we were charged 20 euros to check into our room early as we had an early arrival flight. I have never been anywhere that charged a fee for that. If the room is ready than what am I paying for? It is not like we asked them to clean a room for us early. We paid the fee because after a 9-hour flight we were ready to rest. I was traveling with a number of people who were staying at various other hotels in Barcelona. None of them were charged a fee. On the back end of my cruise, I stayed in a hotel near the airport. The room was ready when we arrived (5 hours earlier than the checkin time) and I was not charged a fee. In my entire years of living, I have never been charged a fee for early check-in.

Property was in a good location and close to the beach and shopping. Breakfast was good. Only complaint was our airconditioning was not cold enough in our room. The weather was very hot and having our aircon of full was still warm in our room.

lovely stay, room was clean, daily maid service, polite and friendly staff, traveled with my disabled son in wheelchair had a disabled room with wet room, grab bars on toilet, i highly recommend this hotel for a person in a wheelchair, close to beach and transport links we fully enjoyed our stay.

Area around the hotel was great for us, it is out of central Barcelona but close enough to the metro plus Poblenou is a lovely area to get some food at the beginning/end of the day!

The hotel was ok, reception area was lovely and we were very grateful for the early check-in.

However, the room itself was not 4 stars, it was quite tired and then there were other niggles i.e we were supposed to have a king-size bed or two singles but the room had only a double in (something we try to avoid as my husband is very tall!), the toilet roll holder fell off the wall at first use and worst of all our air conditioning blew out only hot air. By 4am we had to open the window and try to sleep with the noise of the bustling city (it was much cooler outside of our room than inside by this point).

When we reported this to reception they were quite rude about it, questioning my husband and making us feel like we’d lied, or couldn’t work the air con system, eventually they sent up a repair man who confirmed it was not working.

The hotel did then move us up to the 7th floor by the time we’d returned the following evening and the room was much nicer (i.e. properly sized bed, toiletries, better wardrobe, and a stunning view). Assuming these are the superior rooms, if so I’d definitely recommend upgrading!

All in all, I would not say the initial room was 4 stars, regardless of being superior vs standard it was below the level I expect for the price we’d paid.

Good location. Close to Poblenou ramblas which is far better than the main ramblas beside the gothic quarter. Also very close to the beach.

The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the beach and only 3 blocks away from Rambla del Poblenou where most of the bars and restaurants are located. The streets around the hotel are quiet. We would stay here again. Nice neighborhood for a big city

The hotel is in a great location, only a 10 minute walk from the metro and a couple of stops from central Barcelona. Rooms were a good size, clean and tidy. Only issue was that the air con was set to heating (stayed early March) so rooms were very hot at night. Had to sleep with the windows open and it could be noisy on the street outside.

Good but bad service.

Good room but they charged 20 euros to allow us to check in before 3 when the room was clearly already available.
Additionally, they fail to tell us they had book us in room that was very warm due to the side of the building where the sun shines, and they fail to tell us the ac didn’t work.

Basic comfort, not a 4 star feeling

I agree with other users: it should not be a 4 star. Pricing was good but service very poor: example
I used cups provided in the room for coffee and they were left dirty when I came back in the evening. I thought it was just a mistake, called receptionist and was told they only provide one welcome coffee and do not replace dirty cups.
So in a 4 star hotel you are supposed to keep them dirty for 3 days….
Additionally the room conditions were fair but with lots of details not right ( dust, old bed runners, small tv etc)
On the positives: good location, safe neighbourhood, competitive price.

Location is weird, and parking is shared with other buildings(unsafe)

This hotel is not worth 4 star, the location is good other than that noting was worth 4 star.
- Breakfast area too tiny, Not too much room to move around. The coffee quality is average. Not worth the £12 charge.
- Room comfort: not a single bottle water was offered. The bed is uncomfortable it made my back aches. The shower screen isn't fitted so the water does not flood the bath floor. I had to use DIY to fix it.

Very clean hotel and spacious rooms. We did have to move rooms 3 times due to AC issues but the staff were very accommodating and helpful with this and so it wasn’t too much of a concern. Llacuna metro station is a 5 min walk away and takes you to all key spots such as Sagrada Familia. Hotel is also less than 10 min walk from the beach which is a big plus. Very convenient and highly recommend to stay here.

My room was not the standards of a 4 star hotel. The reception when asked to change room did not allow it or cared about my dissatisfaction . They charged me the whole stay and we’re not flexible when i asked for me to only pay for the 1st night since they could not help me with a better room.

Stayed here for 9 nights, loved that it was walking distance to the beach so we didn't have to bring a lot with us, and very convenient to groceries/convenience stores and the metro. A quieter neighborhood farther away from the main tourist attractions, but we liked that. The room was spacious enough for two of us and the AC was thankfully cool enough to keep us comfortable during a heat wave! Only issue we had was that the room was a little dirty when we arrived, hair on the floor and on the towels, but we got housekeeping done and it took care of it. Overall we were happy with it and would stay here again.

Mostly good but not great

Great spot that felt decently central and close to most things. It wasn’t in the fanciest part of town but I always felt safe. The only bad thing was that they wouldn’t refund me when I changed my booking. I booked through a travel company and it was complicated. So that was disappointing. And I did come home one day to my door being left open. Not a common mistake (I hope) but I everything was fine and I had valuables in the safe. Everyone working there was super nice. Just sad I had to book an extra day at my own expense and the door situation. Good for the price.

One night stay between cruise and flight. Decent hotel. Closest one I could find to the beach. Great beach 6 minutes walk away. Breakfast was typical. Short walk to a nice restaurant recommended by staff. Everyone very friendly. Room small but clean. Bed was not the best but it worked.

Every face in this place was extraordinary! Staff very helpful and friendly. A bit out of the center of town but close to the tourist/tour bus stop which was perfect. A short ride by car to downtown. Did I mention the phenomenal staff? The room was exactly as pictured, no surprises! Oh, the black out curtains, YES! They were. It helps me with jet lag. I would recommend and I would stay here again.

The hotel is average at best, while there’s nothing to brag about there are things to complain about. When I arrived with my partner we realised the plug hole in our sink was blocked so the sink couldn’t let water out, we called the help desk and let them know asking if they could send someone to fix it for us which we were told the handyman isn’t here for the next couple of days. We were told however that they will move us rooms in the morning, so with this in mind my partner and I packed up our bags for the room change. When the morning came and we called asking when we’d be able to move we were answered by a woman who was unbelievably rude and patronising and who blatantly refused to help saying things like “why do you want to move because of the sink” “who told you to pack your bags” “no you can’t change room there’s no other rooms available” bearing in mind we were just explaining to her what one of her colleagues had told us just the night before. In the end it turned out the handy man was working and he cane to sort the sink out which took all of an hour and a half in which my partner and I had to sit in the room waiting for him to finish. We also chose to have breakfast included in our stay and the breakfast is absolutely nothing special, definitely not worth the extra money. While the hotel is 15minutes away from the beach the surrounding area leaves much to be desired! It is located in what I can only think of as a dodgy part of Barcelona with no good shops or bars

The best 4 Barcelona hotel is located in a great place, easy to head to the city and very close to the beach so plenty of lovely restaurants to eat at and a lively night life.

The hotel however was not great. We were given a nice room at first but the bath was unbelievably dirty as though someone had stood in with muddy shoes. We asked for our hotel room to be changed, and the lovely staff member changed it for us. I the second room the drainer in the bathtub was snapped in half but as it was clean we stayed in that room. The sink would overfill and not drain ALL the time making it almost impossible to wash your hands. And the towels we got looked used and was full with hair so we ended up buying new towels.

FYI no ac cold in hotel in the fall. City ordinance. Must open windows if you get hot and hear all the street noises.

The parking needed more light and the columns need a bright color since is very difficult to park if you can’t see well inside the parking lot.
