Great value stay in the Poblenou district, 10 mins walk from the beach and 5 mins to Llacuna metro station. You can walk into the city including the Sagrada Familia in about 35 minutes. Room basic but clean and comfy. All building works complete so no disruptions there.

The staff was very friendly and made it easy to store luggage. The room and hotel are very clean. The room is kind of bear bones and there isn’t a shelf in the shower. The AC doesn’t run when you’re not in the room so it gets warm. It was very easy to get a taxi from there. The breakfast had a lot of pastries but not much in the way of gluten free food. It could have used more fruit. I was very satisfied for the price

Hotel was well maintained. The place was kept very clean. They were able to cater to a request to have an extra guest over for one of our nights (for a fee of course). Reception responded quickly to our requests. We were very pleased with the hotel. It is located one block away from a main road with lots of restaurants.

Great hotel, friendly staff and a perfect location for getting around Barcelona.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the on-site bar was great for a quick drink, snack or an evening meal.
The breakfast was also wonderful and well worth adding on to your stay here.
Will definitely be back again in October when we return to Barcelona

You know what you’re getting when you stay in a Travelodge. Both the bedroom and the bathroom were clean, simple and functional. No frills, but everything you’d expect of a basic-mid range hotel. The location is good, close to Llacuna Metro station and in the heart of Poblenou.

Staff was great and unlike reviews had wifi all through hotel. Was a little spotty but nothing unbearable. Our hot water didn't work, but they happily moved us rooms, seemed to be a common problem. Allowed us to store luggage before and after check-in which was very helpful.

Good - Generally fine as it’s a Travelodge

Bad - No customer service, staff were very rude. Bedding sheets and towels were dirty when we checked in, we asked for them to be changed, the woman on the front desk smirked at us and said it would take 20mins. When we went back up to the room all they had done was remake the bed, and then argued with us that they had changed it. The stains were very specific and we had photos but still it took us getting the manager to come to the room to finally get us clean sheets and towels. Aircon doesn’t really do anything so the room was like a sauna at night (stayed in April).

Our room was fine, although very hot due to there being no working A/C. The hotel was clean and the cleaning staff were warm and friendly.

Our room wasn’t cleaned one day and when I went to get fresh towels at reception I received a rather cursory response, so found the cleaner and got towels from her.

We had persistent problems with our keycard throughout our stay - culminating in it taking 45 minutes on our last night for two members of staff to get the door open (apparently the lock needed charging). We found consistently having to go to reception to explain the situation to be tiresome. The problem was never resolved and we were relieved when we were finally able to check out and leave!

Enjoyed my stay as expected

I did a solo holiday and I’m not a fan of hostels. I didn’t spend much time in the hotel as I had a busy itinerary. Travelodge provided what I needed, the room was clean, they provided fresh towels everyday and cleaned the room. The staff were friendly when we had interactions. My only criticism is that the air conditioning in the room isn’t the best, fortunately I went at a time of year where it wasn’t too hot otherwise that would’ve been tough to sleep.

The hotel it seems is going some renovation, breakfast is not available in the hotel currently. Otherwise rooms are nice, clean and comfortable, but quite small. But still big enough for one traveler. Location of the hotel is convenient to go anywhere either with bus, metro or even walking. Beach is couple of minutes walk away and also dinning options are plenty nearby.

We thought saving a bit on the hotel would be smart. We would only come to our room to sleep and be out as soon as possible as we woke up. Spending more time outside enjoying beautiful Barcelona. But we underestimated just how bad a room in a hotel can be. I can compare it to a cabin in a 1980s cruise ship. Tiny, dark, pale flickering fluorescent light, a weak lukewarm spray of the shower makes the stained shower curtain stick to your body. Dismal.
The room did not have a wardrobe instead there was a rod mounted to the wall with a few of those anti-theft hangers dangling from it. No safe, no place to put our luggage, to teapot. Just a bed, a plastic chair and a small table. And what made us cut our losses and leave after just one night (instead of the four we paid for) was the bed. I'm not even going to describe the damp bed-on-wheels situation but the mattress the pillows and the duvet are just not suitable for human use. Neither one of us could sleep for more than 20 minutes without waking up due to how uncomfortable the bed was or because of the loud banging of the doors and stomping in the rooms around us. Yes, this place is cheaper than some other hotels but for what you're getting it is a rip-off. Avoid!

Room was ok but there is no safe and no fridge. The A/C was insufficient and we had to resort to opening the window to get a breeze. This was Oct 1st so I can’t imagine in the summer months. The room itself was old but decently clean however the hallways were old and dirty and there was a strong odor of mold. The coffee and service at the bar in the lobby were very good. For the price, it’s ok for a few days and if you’re not going to be spending much time in the room. Otherwise, do not recommend.

Negative: I often choose Travelodge as they are standard for limited budget traveler. But Travelodge in Poblenou is under standard. The room is outdate, and the hallway is dirty and smelly. Their next building is renovating so people make noise from 8am while guests come back at night very late to enjoy Barcelona at night have to wake up at 8am the next day the is terrible experience. One lift is out of order for 2 days. The Hotel just say sorry….
There are a homeless group living permanently one block away the hotel.

Positive: friendly, helpful staff.

To hotel: You can learn from Premier Inn hotel group, they don’t need to clean rooms every day, any guest who wants to have room clean can inform the receptionist one day in advance. that save a lot of cost and laundry expenses and some travelers nowadays don’t need room cleaned everyday to save trees

We liked the proximity to the metro, restaurants, laundry and beach.
The room was very small. There wasn’t any furniture to put our suitcases on or dressers to put clothing into. There was no closet. We had to ask for a hot pot and hair dryer. The shower drained very slowly. We had no view. Our window looked out to construction. Overall it was Very basic compared to the cost.

The hotel is very old, the smell is really bad (humidity everywhere), this includes the halls, the beds, and mostly everything, is not really pleasant to stay, it's too pricey to what they offer. The check-in was just OK.

Additionally, the air conditioner does not work properly, so, we had very poor sleeping experience.

Sorry, I can't recommend this hotel.

Aircon was broken, spoke to them multiple times and they kept saying it would get fixed which it didn’t. Booked through Expedia and had them try call the hotel multiple times which there was no answer even though always 2-4 people working the front desk at all times. Terrible customer service wouldn’t recommend staying there for the price they are asking.

Misleading information, it said wifi included in the description but when we arrived we were informed that wifi was available for an extra charge. The AC wasn’t working in our room and had to spend almost one afternoon waiting and watching the technician repair the AC. Hotel looked very old and not very pleasing. Front desk staff weren’t very helpful and not very nice. Only got some helpful info from the cafe/bar attendant Rosa. Location is convenient but really that’s the only good thing about this hotel.

The bathroom had rusty appliances. There was no safe or mini fridge. Staff was rude when asked about other amenities. We paid for the breakfast buffet and I took a yogurt to bring to my room and they made me put it back. Overall for the money and location not worth it
