Service and staff are great. Very responsive.
However, the first room we were given was boiling hot (in December!). No functional AC. Hotel was full so we had to bear with it for 2 nights before they moved us. Replacement room was a lot smaller - too small to be a family room but a smaller room was better than a hot room. For a 4* hotel that is unacceptable.

Absolutely stunning hotel! On arrival they showed me my room although it was nice it had two single beds together (which I can not stand) I went to ask reception if I could change rooms and they provided me with a stunning larger room. The staff are very accommodating at both the reception and rooftop bar. The room itself was clean and very spacious, nice tv, wardrobe and all amenities you would need. The star of this hotel would definitely be the rooftop bar and restaurant with panoramic views of Barcelona and a nice modern style to the decor. The area surrounding the hotel provide many restaurants, bars and cafes. As this was a solo trip I did feel safe walking around both the area and hotel alone at night. The hotel also has a spa/ swimming pool, the swimming pool is on the smaller size and can feel a little crowded when there’s 3 or more people. Overall great stay for the 4 nights I was there!

The property was in a good condition. The daily access to the spa was a good addition to our stay. Unfortunately the front counter staff did not recognise the Expedia VIP hotel access. Good access to restaurants and the local metro was a few minutes walk.

Lovely hotel with great bars and spa facilities.

Rooftop bar was great with a good vibe and view. Location is near a tube but around 15mins to city centre by metro, but easy to get too.

Note: Pool/Spa is only accessible for kids 9-12am.

Restaurant despite having space has a long wait, if you don’t book in advance.

Pros: The rooftop 100% makes this hotel! The staff up there was very friendly and attentive; I actually looked forward to going up there. The sunset view at night is stunning and the food was fantastic.

Now to the not so good stuff

I booked my trip on Expedia and because of the time change, I landed the day after my check in to the hotel. When I got there, I was told that my reservation had been canceled due to being a no show. Thankfully they were able to resolve it and I was able to check in.

Next, I received a phone call 4 days into check in around 2pm saying I was due to check out at noon that day when I was booked until noon the 13th. I went back and forth with the woman on the phone for about 5 minutes as I'm looking at my email reservation then she gets back on the phone to tell me it was a system error. When I got back to my room, my key had been deactivated.

A part of me booking this particular hotel was the gym, however, the one and only treadmill here was not working.

The overall hotel is just alright. I definitely should've done my research as far as the location goes. I wouldn't necessarily recommend.

We had never been to Barcelona before, and we loved our stay here. The room was clean and comfortable, and the one hour per day of time in the spa was an unexpected bonus. We got terrific recommendations from the front desk staff about sightseeing/excursions. It’s perfectly located to take full advantage of the fantastic metro system. And the view + live music on the rooftop terrace was just dreamy. Great area for an easy walk to many great restaurant options, too.

Don’t stay here is overprice they only limit air to 22 c and the actual air inside the room is reading at 29 if you have another option go ahead. Plus they only change towels, the beds were dirty they didn’t change the beds or clean the room at all. They didn’t clean nothing it’s horrible i paid for 4 2 adults and 2 kids and they are horrible for families. There is another hotel across the street cheaper and it looks nicer. We have to sleep with fans. I paid around 800 dollars for 2 nights stay. After I told them about the room being dirty they said they were going to call the lady but they never called me back. Please choose another hotel

Very nice updated hotel. Walking distance to Sagrada Familia (25 mins), Arc de Triomf (20 mins), and a metro (5 mins). Two super markets nearby. The burger from room service is great, but the pizza is not. Staff was very friendly. Ordered us a taxi to head to airport. There’s actually a taxi station at the corner of the hotel.

Clean hotel with really nice spa facilities

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The spa facilities were excellent—clean, relaxing, and well-maintained, making it easy to unwind. The room was spacious and clean. The on-site restaurant and café/bar provided good onsite options for food and drink although within a short walk of the hotel, there’s plenty of options too. Would recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

Its a great location. Be careful with the bar they provide everything cost. We did not noticed the list of the items. We later realized the list and by then was already late we had taken few things that we had to pay during check in. The nights were horrible we had to complain about the noise, someone's kids running round l, crying the night. But the last night we got complained that we were loud not sure how that made sense. I am in a different country so dont wanted to say anything in person. We asked for extra pair of shoes which we never got.

Do not stay at this dirty hotel unless you want bed bugs. Room was infested with insects. Realised when belongings were covered in insects. Left the property with numerous large insect bites on face and body, itchiness, fever. Had to take belongings down to reception covered in insects to get the hotel to actually do something. Have since seen other reviews which also confirm the insect problem. Room was totally different to pictures shown on Expedia. The room I was moved into when the hotel accepted there was an insect infestation in my initial room was the room which was actually booked in the first place. Hotel advised that there are different categories of room within ‘deluxe double’ which means if you book deluxe double you can end up in a room with no window to the outside and much smaller than described and pictured. Air conditioning only blows out hot air. Hotel manager rude and disrespectful. Advised she would process a refund for the insect infested room if I reported the issue to Expedia however hotel is now refusing to honour this commitment. Room service is not 24 hours as advertised on Expedia. Amenities in room are not as advertised on Expedia - numerous of these amenities do not exist. The spa at the hotel is nice but this is the only positive. The pool is not as heated as advertised though.

Staff were rude, bathroom dirty, ants in room, rooms are small with views of rubbish dumps and building works, large piles of sand all in the corners of the spa pool, cold spa area. The list goes on, the area felt unsafe and miles from all attractions, never would I stay there again!!

Very friendly staff at reception. Rooms are small and the bathroom is very tight for space. Beds and nice but only 2 small pillows provided. The lights were on 24/7 in the corridors and poked through the bottom of the door which leads straight to the bed. The hotel itself needs a bit of modernizing especially the lifts and hallways. Big positive is that its very close to the Metro system where you can easily get anywhere. Didnt feel luxury for the high price point

Stayed with my family, 2 of us and our son, the sofa-bed was in bad condition, but it was then swapped. The Air-con wasn’t working properly but maintenance resolved it. Mini bar was hot, when replaced was nearly the same. When going into the reception and bar, we asked of one the boys, the blonde one about what to do in the area and he told his friend in Spanish, why don’t they check on google? Completely horrendous treatment, unacceptable. We will be complaining to hotels.com directly to request a partial refund surely.

I was placed in a room literally in the corner of the hotel i had a 5×5 window that all i saw was neighboring windows. The room was pretty small. They provinded a bed ironing board which mad it hard for my to iton longer garments on it the tv didn't give any English channel they were always telling me they're going to fix it and never did.

This is mainly a business hotel, not really geared to wards families. They had restrictions on the time of usage of the pool and gym which were not clear on this site. The room we were given was inner facing, i.e. had no direct sunlight so it was dark and the window opened onto an atrium directly above the pool, which was noisy until late at night (past 12pm). The pool was tiny and enclosed so not much fun on hot days. The walls of the room allowed a lot of noise from adjacent rooms and corridors which made it quite difficult to sleep late at night.
The sky bar had no shade during the day so it was aimed at evening use mainly..
TV in the room had only one English channel (BBC World new (hence the business comment above)) and did not allow any of the smart functions.

Decent but not family friendly

The hotel was decent. The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. Our only issue with the room was that it was freezing and we couldn’t turn the temp up. It said it was maxed out but the actual temp in the room was very cold.

It was not family friendly. The staff in the hotel restaurant suggested we find a different place to eat since we had kids with us. The pool does not allow children except in the morning. Even then, they have to be quiet and were not allowed to splash and play.

Hotel was extremely clean & staff were helpful. Comfy bed but the pillows are too small & the decorative pillows resemble couch cushions. No self laundry service inside besides very expensive dry cleaning. Spa is tiny and no area for parents to lounge while watching kids. Kids are only allowed in pool area 9-1. Location is decent although feels “dreary” outside hotel. Rooms are a decent size but no views. We couldn’t even move the blackout curtains otherwise neighbors would be looking directly into your room. I would not stay here again & there are probably better views for the price range.

Staff entered our room when Do Not Disturb sign was on the door. A total invasion of privacy. Hotel itself is okay but there nothing close. Walking outside the hotel does not feel safe. Graffiti everywhere.

Property itself was nice, that’s it. Had ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on our door while we were out. There was a bottle of wine left for us when we got back, meaning they entered against our wishes. The wine that was gifted by hotel was already opened. Area around the hotel was very dirty, lots of graffiti. Most businesses in the area were closed. Shower in our bathroom was very dirty.
My recommendation, stay away!!

El cuarto era hersomo y siempre habían taxis disponibles. Lo que no nos gustó fue el servicio y lo peligroso que era los alrededores del hotel. El primer día que llegamos al hotel, nuestro cuarto no estaba listo y mi esposo y yo no habíamos comido pero esperamos en el lobby con nuestras maletas. Mi esposo fue y compró un sandwich rápido y se sentó en las mesas frente a la barra a comer discretamente. Luego el bartender (un hombre mayor) le gritó a mi esposo delante de todos diciendo que se tenía que ir, y sacudía las manos como si estuviera espantando un gato de la calle. Eso no se hace, y menos a una persona que acaba de pagar tanto dinero en un hotel y ni tan siquiera comer algo pequeño rápido en el hotel donde pagamos quedemos y disfrutar de las facilidades. Entiendo que había un restaurante, pero acabamos de llegar del aeropuerto con nuestras maletas y como carajo íbamos a comer allá dentro o afuera del hotel con ellas con lo mucho que roban afuera. Incluso, dentro del hotel había una pareja distrayendo a los turistas en el hotel u habiendo sus carteras, ah, pero regañan a un gringo por comerse un sandwich en una mesa puesta precisamente para comer. Otra cosa, cada vez que hacíamos una pregunta a alguien en el lobby, nos contestaban como si fuésemos un estorbo y no tan siquiera se esmeraban por buscar una contestación. Eso no está bien. Anteriormente a este hotel, nos habíamos quedado en un Hilton en la ciudad de Barcelona a y nos trataron excelente. Aquí no regresaremos.

I loved the view from my big, roomy terrace.
The food from the hotel bistro was delicious. Most of the staff were very helpful. The hotel has obviously been refurbished. The linoleum floor in my room was soft in some places, gave when stepped on, as if there was nothing underneath it. The rest of the hotel that I saw was kept in good repair and spotless. Someone was constantly cleaning something. I would (and actually have future reservations to) stay there again.

Trip with daughter for study abroad

Hotel was clean, front desk staff was super helpful with explaining which metro lines to take and how far certain activities were from the hotel. Hotel was located within a 6 min walk to where daughter was staying for study abroad. Everything wass great, just felt they could have included breakfast for yhe cost, and just charge for dinner, inatead of charging for both.

The room had a nice bunk bed, my wife and daughter we each had our own beds. But the room was very small, wish it had another sitting around. Also, the worst is the AC it never got cold and was very difficult to sleep each night. I will not return until the AC works and is ice cold. For that price per night, the AC should be very cold. Javier at the bar was my favorite, always happy and welcoming early in the morning! If I come back, it is for my espresso doble from Javier!

El motivo por esta mala critica es porque cuando llegamos a la propiedad nos asignaron una habitación que no correspondía con lo reservado. La habitación era la 723. Una habitación pequeña, el minibar de esta venía vacío, la cama pequeña, los albornoces del baño eran viejos y deshilachados. El baño minúsculo. Parecía la típica habitación donde los empleados van a descansar. Expusimos nuestra queja en la recepción del hotel, al momento y nos dijeron que no era posible el cambio esa noche. Los recepcionistas hablaban en francés entre ellos, pero yo que entiendo el idioma y no dije nada, pude ver que sabían que tenía razón y que la habitación otorgada no era la correspondiente.
Al día siguiente no cambiaron de habitación a la 717, y está si se correspondía con lo reservado, el minibar estaba lleno, y el baño y cama eran espaciosos.
La primera noche ya nos arruinó un poco la estadía, porque después de pagar 700 y pico de euros por 3 noches, esperábamos un hotel de calidad, y fue una decepción absoluta.
Las zonas comunes estaban ok, pero el ascensor estaba estropeado desde hacía meses, ocasionando largas esperas para poder ir abajo a recepción.
Mi madre se hospedó en el hotel de al lado el Villa suites olímpico, y el spa era mejor y más grande. El hotel fue muy amable de darnos un pase y disfrutamos de un spa mucho más completo, comparado con el del Sallés Pere IV.
Sin lugar a dudas no repetiremos este hotel, ya que no corresponde a un 4 estrellas.

The only complaint I had was that I had to check out!!
From checking in, to the amenities, the spa services and the location this gem did NOT disappoint!!
I am very picky with hotels and do not feel comfortable but this was not the case here.
Clean, comfortable and perfect.
Loved the bathroom sink with the pull out cabinets (genius and I want this in my house)
The location is perfect since it is 2 blocks from the metro.
If you like going out then on the weekends there were 3-6 options for you in the immediate area BUT that did not effect the hotel.
Luggage storage is available which was perfect since our flight was very early the next day
Due to hotels.com status there was even a bottle of wine in the room that was enjoyed one day relaxing in the park with sandwiches

The hotel is in a good location for the airport, the beach and the gothic quarter. Staff in the hotel weren’t particularly friendly and our check in was delayed by an hour which was annoying. The room was a reasonable size however the air conditioning was poor so it was very warm. Also the walls in the hotel are quite thin so we could hear the people next door talking and screeching until the early hours of the morning which was frustrating.

But a point for improvement is that the room was very hot. The air conditioning was on but not effective at all. A separate waste bin for recycling would be a great idea too.

The room and balcony were superb but there were ants in the bathroom. The staff very friendly and helpful.
We only dined once in the restaurant and had the Chicken Chop Suey. It was more of a starter than main course - no noodles with a small bowl of chicken and veg in sauce. No bread given either so very unsubstantial. The Cappuccino machine adds chocolate which was also very odd.

Good connection, but area is a bit rough. The lift are very danger which require update. Breakfast is great, but the restaurant staff service isn’t very good. Air condition was off at the night and there is no air flow. Not up to 4 star standard.

Disappointing, better options out there

We were told by Hotels.com there'd be an option for 12pm Check-In however the hotel couldn't accommodate this then proceeded to check-in someone next to us for two rooms at 12pm...

We also didn't get an upgrade as advertised or the bottle of wine upon check-in. The room's a decent enough size but shower room had filthy tiles, chipped mirror, leaking shower so the room would get wet quite quickly. Air-con was quite intermittent and the room would have a weird smell emitting from the vents when we'd return from a day out.

All in all, it's an alright stay but for the money we were expecting more. I would've quite happily have paid that little bit more and stayed at one of the better hotels on offer here, especially as everything that was advertised wasn't supplied...

The spa is a great addition though and all staff were extremely helpfuly with this.

Gym is a bit sparce. One running machine for a hotel is a bit naff, you'd expect more if a \"Gym\" is advertised!

Excellent hotel for city break

An excellent location for a Barcelona city break with the metro a short walk away. The hotel was very clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and well maintained. The breakfast had everything you could possibly want and the staff worked tirelessly to keep food supply constant. Spa facilities were of a high standard and were a good way to relax after a day's sightseeing. Would recommend to anyone looking for a city break.

Stayed here for 9 nights whilst on business, nice clean hotel with good facilities and restaurant.
Stag very good and not badly situated and within in walking distance of most things.
Only complaint was the bed was not too comfy but that was just my preference.

We used this hotel only for sleep and breakfast but was very difficult to find with the GPS. I notice others people argument with the same issue. We have a car rented and we found the places closer but not for walking tourists.
The Hotel was fine but honestly not return to the same place!

MUST STAY! - great hotel!

Beautiful hotel with amazing service - very happy with our stay.. we have been to Barcelona many times but this hotel was one of the best, nice and quiet at night with a great vibe during the day- spa was really lovely, clean and the staff in every part of the hotel were brilliant!
