The Holiday Inn was nicely located from many interesting sites in Barcelona. There is public transport within five minutes walking is you wish not to walk. Room was clean and the male person who checked us in, you could not ask for a better welcome and gave us some great information on taking the metro/train to the airport. Everything was great in the room and the breakfast was the best compared to the North American Holiday Inns. The only thing that I would add to the stay, is to have a dedicated movie channel on the television.

We booked accommodation for four people for three nights and had two separate rooms, as we were two families and each family had one room. The rooms for four people were a bit small, but they were clean.

The staff were extremely kind, friendly, and very helpful throughout our stay. At one point, I had accidentally entered the wrong date for one night on Expedia, and the hotel kindly changed the date for us without any penalty, which we really appreciated.

The breakfast was very good, the location was relatively good with walking access to many places, and the hotel also has parking. Since we were traveling by car, this was a very convenient and valuable option for us.

We were able to check in early which was very nice after a long overnight flight. We did not like that every morning between 3 to 5 am doors were slammed everyday, The breakfast could have also had more options. We had worst experience for a property that high priced in a good location. The parking is a huge nightmare. Our water in the washroom stopped randomly, parking elevator stopped working, no safe in rooms or iron. The breakfast was really low quality and the overall service is horrible. This is truly an express hotel if that meant not caring for guests. The parking particularly with a nightly charge is a complete nightmare. You can’t fit any car inside - even the exit from parking is impossible.

Paid parking but parking is extremely tight, after parking the car not enough space to get out of the car, had to come out of the trunk. Rooms area can barely fit in one double bed and one sofa kam bed. Rooms are smelly, we almost paid $400 a night it’s not even worth of $100. Didn’t expect to have that bad experience.

Sadly due to flight delays etc, we had a very short stay. However, we arrived at around 2.30 am local time. The receptionist was very friendly, speaking English to a very tired English family without a second thought (don't think we don't appreciate it!).

Check in was quick and efficient. The room was perfectly adequate and set up for us. Clean, modern and very serviceable.

Room was quiet enough for sure. The only real downside was that the view was nothing special but... Fair enough. It was a \"cheap and cheerful\" stopover. We didn't book a view.

Breakfast was great, more friendly and helpful staff. Lots of clearly labelled food so that my gluten allergy didn't feel like a problem.

Managed to leave our luggage for a while at no extra cost.

Hotel is quite well situated.

I'd definitely consider using this hotel again. Nice work.

Thanks for a nice (albeit short) stay.

Second time in this hotel and it is a great option, within walking distance from the Ramblas, many dining options and close to the subway. The staff is really nice and breakfast, although not fancy, has good variety and a good size room, so even in a crowded season, you can find a place to sit. It only does not get a 5 star review as the option for 4 people is, in fact, using a bed and a sleeper sofa. The rooms are small (normal), but, while they can fit 4, they don’t allow for the most comfortable sleep. I’d recommend booking two rooms next time.

Great breakfast buffet

The hotel and staff was one of the best we have been too and the breakfast buffet offered was amazing with so much variety.
The only negative thing noticed is the “security” person that stands there extremely rude making a “shhhhhhh” sound to my kids who were laughing on the first floor. Very strange and unwelcoming.

Forgot a pair of shoes in the room. I called back 3 hours after leaving and the housekeeper claimed there were no shoes in the room. This is not possible as this was the only pair of shoes I wore the night before leaving. Be aware of this place.

We stayed there during Summer 2025. It was a nice neighborhood. Beach is just 20 mins walk. Lots of options for dining. There is a taxi stand just in front of the hotel. So transportation was easier, specially with kids. However the hotel is so so. Not so clean. Most of the staff cannot speak English and not very helpful or friendly. The most terrible is the hotel elevator and electronics don't work properly. They need attention.
