Great room and the hotel always try to accommodate my request for a bath. It is very much appreciated. Staff a friendly and it’s always clean in a great location for Farringdon. This is always my 1st choice of hotel when I’m in town.

Incredibly warm. Specifically chose a hotel with air conditioning. Air conditioning was not working and windows do not open. Twice we asked for ac to be turned on. Receptionist was very friendly and said she had turned it in and it needed time to reset. Still no ac and no sleep. Disappointed as I’ve stayed before but it’s put me off coming back.

Stayed one night and chose the hotel as it was close to where we were attending a party.
The room was quite small, the curtain was coming off the rail at one side so did not cover the window properly, sockets in the room poorly located eg no socket near to mirror for hairdryer and had to unplug lamp to use socket next to the bed.
However, apart from those niggles the room was comfortable, clean and did not feel like a bland hotel room. Staff we encountered were friendly and helpful and the hotel is walkable from Kings Cross station.

Good location especially for the City and reasonable value for money given extortionate price of hotels at this time of year. Room could have done with a more thorough cleaning - quite a lot of dust on surfaces and lightbulbs. Service mostly friendly and efficient but the male receptionist was somewhat sullen but everyone can have a bad day I suppose

The room was ok but here were. Couple of issues 1) lights in room on PIR and comes on when walk around could wake people up & 2) finish in bathroom water marks on paint and finish around windows. It would appear people don’t open the window when they have a shower and it damages the paintwork. Easy fix would be a sign stating open the window. 3) shower is small for me ( I am 6ft 2 plus) but if you are below 6ft you should be fine. Comfy bed and overall very please and helpful , friendly staff. Close to Holborn station for access to London as well (5 min walk). I would stay again .

The room looked nice on first arrival. The air con did not work (the windows were open - should’ve guessed), there were no USB charger points so had to got to Boots to buy a plug adapter. Someone else’s hair on one of the pillows on arrival when I checked the room out. Front desk were very friendly though.

The hotel is old and smell of old carpet. The room was dark and the automatic lights kept turning on and off at every movement, which was extremely annoying. Hallway was dark and grungy and creepy. Overall this hotel needs a makeover.

The hotel was in a really good location for what we wanted to do... food and drink! The room was quiet, but we did get road noise in the morning. The curtains let in quite a lot of light too, so we were up early. The reception staff were very friendly and even offered my husband an umbrella as it was tipping it down outside.

Wasn’t bad and easy to find from taking the Elizabeth line from LHR , I did have a situation and I asked the guy who was at the night desk where I could get a adapter for my phone. This was my first time ever being in London and he said “ can get one at a souvenir shop & like a Tesco or sainsbury? I had no idea where any of that was and he was no help in pointing that out. So I took a black cab to Apple Store in Covant Garden and the guy in the cab and the Apple Store lady where more helpful then him.
But overall the stay wasn’t that bad , now I know exactly what area of London I want to stay at next time.

The experience in this hotel was below average. More than the location and the place the customer service was very bad and rude. A lack of customer experience and does not even care to look at someone while talking and handling complaints. As a regular traveler I will not be coming here again.

I had a very pleasant 2 week stay at the Bryson. My room on the 4th floor was large and clean. The double bed was very comfortable. I even had a view of the top of the Chard and could see the twinkling lights at night. I had plenty of cupboard space and a large bathroom with a good sized shower and a lovely heated towel rail to dry and warm my towels. The staff were lovely and friendly and helpful and made my stay comfortable. I would highly recommend the Bryson. It is very close to Farringdon station and also Chancery Lane so you can get around London easily. The location has many places to eat and about 8 minutes walk will get you to Exmouth Markets, which also has lovely cafes and restaurants.

The bathroom was OK and the staff was friendly.

The curtains wouldn’t close for privacy, water stain in the corner of the ceiling. The remote control was filthy and hallways were very dark and uninviting. The shampoo bottles were the smallest I’ve ever seen etc.

I booked this hotel because \"parking is available\". Turns out the parking is an NCP park a few hundred metres away (0.5 miles by car through the one way system). I don't consider that a commercial carpark, unconnected with the hotel, several hundred metres away counts as parking available - that could be said of almost any hotel. Corridors are narrow, rooms small and basic. Equivalent to a Travelodge but without a carpark. Room was clean.

The hotel is in a great location. We were placed in a room without being told which seemed to be specifically for guests with a disability - the bed was very low and the bathroom was equipped with additional rails, etc. This is helpful for specific guests but we were not expecting this and a room that had not been very well cleaned and dusted from our booking.

It was mutton dressed as lamb, whether it was the padded walls, curtains that didn't cover windows, no privacy glass to a busy street (even from a bathroom) or carpets for skirting. The entrance looked like an escape room. Not a good experience

I won’t come back unfortunately

I arrived and they asked me to pay £50 deposit in case any damage appear. I’m solo and pregnant, it didn’t feel nice or safe that they start your visit with suspecting you to damage something. I had to sign a paper and they charged me £50 deposit. When I arrived to the room you can clearly see that they don’t use the deposit they charge the guests as the room was damaged on many places, such as bed, hanger and the a/c didn’t work. It was very warm in the room. It wasn’t welcoming the room nor the service. I left disappointed. It was no robe and the fridge were empty, it was even some old smarties lying so they cleaning must have been rushed. I cannot recommend it

The stay at the hotel was amazing. They upgraded the room to an Executive. The bathroom was incredibly clean and the whole room felt very well maintained. The room was quite small but that didn’t pose as an issue at all. Amazing value for money and will definitely stay again.

Hotel nice, clean, comfortable, however, the restaurant is closed, due to Covid, understand that (although restaurants are open, went to 2 whilst we were there, but that's not the issue). We were not told it was closed, we were told if we wanted breakfast to pre-order for the following morning, not a problem. We were not told it would be delivered to our room. First we knew was when we went down in the lift to find the restaurant. We were dressed up to go to a graduation, there is no where to sit in the room apart from the bed, not ideal. Ordered cereal, no milk, croissants no butter /jam. There were brought up separately. We mentioned our disquiet and said we would only pay for 1 breakfast, but was told as we accepted it they wouldn't do that. The guest leaflet in the room did not say the restaurant was closed or any mention of it being delivered to the room. Sitting on a bed, eating breakfast not ideal. A bit of communication would go a long way. Appreciate we are in tough times still, but it made it for an uncomfortable start to our day.

I stay here a lot as it's so convenient for work. It's clean and the bed is comfy. But the wifi is what makes this place. Recently updated it's now very fast and doesn't require typing in your password every hour. I really appreciate this Bryson. I send people here due to the wifi. There are a couple of bad rooms I do avoid which I actually saw called out in previous reviews. 408 too far away for wifi. 205 bad bathroom. Don't accept these rooms. On the whole very consistent.

Air conditioning only means heating at this hotel

Apparently for this hotel air conditioning only means heating so when before I left the hot room to go out for dinner I turned the air conditioning down from 28c to 18c I might as well have been playing with a child's toy display.
When I returned later that evening the room was still boiling hot. I rang reception and their answer was to open the window that opened on to the main road. I was also told that they were dealing with the issue. An hour later no change and was then promised that someone was on site and the fans would be switched on. Woke up the next morning - nothing had changed. Spoke to reception when I checked out and they couldn't be less interested.

Summary of story - only stay if you like hot rooms with no air circulating.

Someone went to a lot of trouble to upgrade the spaces here not long ago. And they did it with taste, and spent the money wisely. And yet, when I went to book a room, the hotel wasn't too proud to lower the price for what you would pay elsewhere for a CLEAN hotel with GOOD staff- like the Bryson offers... but \"tired\" fabric. And a GOOD continental breakfast was part of my deal. Warm, fresh croissants, nice cerals, not in poxie little boxes. Bits of dried friut to liven up my granola. And a pretty good location. Nearest Tube not \"around the corner\", but not miles away, and good bus service to West End, or Sadler's wells. Oh! And a proper \"desk\" in my not tiny room. Comfortable to use with laptop. Okay- neither room nor desk \"huge\"... but perfectly adequate, and much more than some hotels give you.

The room was lovely and warm and had a heated towel rail in the bathroom.

I was disappointed that there was not late bar of any means of getting any food or even a snack after 11pm. Not very good for the price of the room.
The WiFi was good but you had to keep putting in your room number.

Rudely awaken by banging house music at 6.30 am from below my room, which I assume was some for of fitness class taking place. The nicest thing I can say is the bed is comfy and the location is good. The decor is very dated (Carpet halfway up the walls, seriously!).. Also for the price there are better hotels in the area

Room 408 - The bathroom stunk of mould/damp. It was cold (even though the air conditioning was on 30 degrees.) The toilet seat was too loose to use. The bedside lamps didn't work.

No coffee available at breakfast so had to have tea only to find out the milk was UHT milk not fresh. Only a continental breakfast included in the price and when I asked if I could pay the waitress was very rude and basically said no there was nobody there to cook it. The room was very basic and smelt of curry. I asked for a VAT receipt when I left and they said I couldn’t have one because I booked through Expedia I stay away all the time and I’ve never heard of this in my life. Definitely not a four-star hotel

There was expired milk in the fridge, mould in the bath, and they sold a dream with the ‘continental breakfast’ it’s just cereal and bread. I had to pay £6 extra for the worst English breakfast. Their vegetarian breakfast was the smallest portion of eggs, beans and one hash brown. It was still £6.

Considering the really good price, you get great value for money with this hotel. A great location only a few minutes walk from the underground and only 2 stops away from Covent Garden. Most places this central are tiny Harry Potter under-the-staircase rooms, but The Bryson offered decent space, clean rooms, and the staff were very friendly. I’ll be staying at The Bryson Hotel again for my next London trip.

Staff was very rude and not at all accommodating. I checked in around 2am since my flight was late and they wouldn't even accommodate a simple late check out and charged me extra. Nickel and dining for a room that would take them no more than 5 mins to clean considering it was used to simply sleep for a few hours.

Upon check in to the room the air conditioning was not cooling. They agreed to fix it and 6 hours later nobody came to fix it. Then we were notified everyone left for the evening. We checked out. Their response via numerous emails to get a refund, they refunded half the rate because they said we had used our room, well of course we did while waiting on maintenance to fix the air conditioning. If they would have informed us nobody would come to fix it, we would have never stayed. Their final response was
It was cooling the room, perhaps at a lower pace that the guest would like and also that it suppose to. We acknowledged there was an issue with that.
But still claims because they provided other working facilities it justified the half refund.

the reviews will hurt them more than the refund amount they kept.

Hotel is ok, very basic but clean. They take a £50 pre authorisation amount from your bank, which shows on your account as a pending transaction and it will stay like that for about 5 working days, which is a massive inconvenience as you can’t spend the money until it has been released. Also, I paid for a room with breakfast included, but this turned out to be continental and you had to pay a surcharge for a full English!
