The rooms are NOT SOUNDPROOF, in fact they are extremely poorly insulated to both noise and the weather, they were very cold and you can hear every footstep of everyone the in hotel because the floors are wooden.

Website indicates 'Keurig coffee facilities available in all rooms the virtual assistant confirms. This is not case, Standard rooms get 2 instant coffee sachets, one tea-bag. Room cleaning once per week, any additional is extra cost. Reported an invasive smell in the room at 2.30pm handed a perfumed spray can at 9.30 pm, maintenance shrugged explaining, 'what do you expect me to do, this is a large hotel, I am on my own.' Breakfast gbp15.00 per person, is overpriced, quickly ran out of milk.
Complimentary coffee in the main lobby was a nice gesture, which, for a numbers of days did not function properly, some hot drinks were not available. Online room pictures are deceiving, ours had no table or chairs for an in-room meal. All in all a very average hotel, in a great location, beware or false advertising.

They were still working on renovations when I went but my room was great. This location is very good for catching both buses and the subway. I had an issue with the wifi when I first arrived but they fixed it right away. Plus when I was about to leave early for the airport on the subway the front desk staff were nice enough to stop me and check to see when the station opened. I hadn't known they closed and would have been alone on the street, in the dark, in the early hours of the morning.
Another feature is having the small kitchen to make your own meals and there is a small grocery store very near with manageable sizes and fair prices.

Lovely room, on of the lifts was being refurbished which meant a few trips up & down before actually getting off on the ground floor, however staff were really friendly and helpful. Super clean everywhere, nice coffee from the machine, and kitchen is equipped with everything you may need, good sized fridge! :)

This was my second time staying at the hotel.
The decor was updated which is good as it was needed.
However the ventilation system was not working well so a standup fan was brought to our room after we asked twice for a serviceman to fix the AC.
There is not much space to hang clothes when you are 3 in the bedroom - no closet in the bedroom

Kitchenette was well designed and supplied with dishes, platters, pots and pans and utensils.

We booked with Citadines extremely late! However they were very accommodating and all the staff was lovely! The room was wonderful as well, spacious, clean and I liked the style of it- very mid-century modern! We were about to have the free breakfast the next day and it was awesome, all the food was fresh and the dining area was clean as well! Definitely recommend coming here if you are staying in London, it’s near a tube station and there are places that are walkable!

First off the location is amazing, right next to the Holborn metro station, one street away from the John Soane’s museum and a short walk from the British museum. The place is clean and the room were perfect for a family of 4 (kids are 13 & 15).
Now the not so good:
First few days we were freezing in the room and the heating controls in the room were useless so they ended up sending us a plugged heather in the room. A day later we ran out of hot water. They told us to let the water flow for 30 min as if that would help (which it didn’t of course) then after 24 hours with no hot water i got them to switch us to another room.

The hotel is very good, clean,spacious room and perfect location ....It is recommended however they dont have the \"cleaning room\" service unless you book one and pay extra for it which I find weird specially that this was not clear while booking the room on hotels.com. Other than this hiccup the hotel is really very good.

Hotel is situated in a good location at Holborn and is about 2 mins walk from the Holborn metro station. There are many shops, marts, gym and eateries around the vicinity. I booked an executive studio room which comes with kitchenette, private bathroom and comfortable bed. Hotel staff were very helpful and approachable. There is a small gym within the hotel at level one. Hotel breakfast is charged at GBP15 per pax.

Lovely hotel, but too hot

We love the citadines at Holborn and have stayed there many times. They have recently finished renovating and it looks lovely. Staff were great and the room was great.

Only issue was that they have a centrally controlled heating system (despite having a controller on the wall in the room that does nothing that we could work out. The room was like a furnace, so we had to leave the windows open, which in December was then very cold. I would suggest the hotel changes back to individual room controls.

Place looks to have been recently done up and rooms are spotless. Room was a bit too warm with a warm duvet and couldn't get room below 19 degrees. Check-in was very slow as they wanted ID and then for cuatomers to sign up to something to check in to the room half an hour early. This was frustrating and a waste of time other than for data harvesting

The executive apartment was excellent. Fresh, clean and had everything you needed. Only thing that we felt let it down was the face you had to run the ahower for about 10 mins before hot water came through. First morning, we had cold to lukewarm shower as we werent told of this until we enquired about it. Subsequent showers were better. Location was great. Very central to good amenities and tourist attractions . Would stay there again

The apartment was freshly refurbished, could have easily been the first to stay in it. Great amenities in the room, decent sized kitchen and accessories, all you needed really. Quiet and 30s walk from Holborn tube station. Plenty of places nearby to eat and shop at (Sainsbury’s local, pizza express literally next door, artisan bakery, Waitrose, pret), and also within walking distance from Euston/Kings Cross if you didn’t want to get the tube. Quick and easy to get into central London on the tube, so perfect if you want to stay slightly further out. All in all, a lovely place that’s still undergoing refurbishment, and would happily stay there again.

No lifts working, broken air conditioning in room and no breakfast on offer just a poor pack lunch option. Left bags with reception on check out day and come back to find them covered on dust and no toilet to use in reception

The renovations recently carried out have resulted in very clean rooms in great tradition. There was the odd teething problem: the chairs originally supplied did not make it comfortable to sit around the table, but this problem was rectified before the end of our stay.

Not what I expected

This hotel is in a great location to explore the area. This hotel was old and dirty. The check in staff made us wait 10 min while he was ion the phone. I saw four people in the back room just standing around. He black mailed me to sign up for their loyalty program or I had to wait one hour to get into my room. Not impressed.

The photos displayed was a false representation of what I booked, which was a double and I got two single beds eve though I’d paid in advance and stated on my confirmation double. It was like student accomodation and not at all what I’m use to staying in as a Gold Expedia member!!! At 9.30pm arrival I was devastated and like I say the advert is misleading indeed and I’m an unhappy customer who was not given an alternative room or double bed and will not be staying again!

This was not the first time we have stayed here and I would return again in the future. The staff were very friendly and helpful when a couple of minor issues arose on the first day. The bed was very comfy and there wasn't any external noise, making it easy to get a great night's sleep. The kitchen had just about everything we needed. It was also nice to be able to have a hot drink and an apple in the lounge. The gym had a very good range of equipment too. The property is starting to show the signs of being well used and it was therefore good to see some refurbishment underway.

Great midtown location - perfect for getting east or west with the tube, and just a 5 minute walk to theatres and Covent Garden. Decor is tired, but it's clean and comfortable. Friendly/helpful staff. Definitely the best value for money you'll find in town. Let staff know if you need good network connectivity as the house wifi didn't work in our room.

During our recent trip to London with my wife and two adult children, we rented two rooms for 3 days (1/3/24 to 1/6/24). The on-duty front desk people were incredibly helpful and professional. They made our check in and check out process very smooth. I had to call for help with my heating system once and the on duty person responded quickly. In fifteen minutes a tech was at my door and quickly fixed the issues. I was very impressed!

I would certainly stay there in future and recommend to my family and friends. The staff went above and beyond their duty to make our stay a great experience.

Room was not has shown on the pictures. The new pictures are the new rooms that are not open yet. They still are under construction.

The cleanliness of the room was not that good.

We were there for 10 days and we had our room cleaned once. They forgot to come once. Curtains were dirty and the chairs in the room had some weird spots/ colors on it.

The soundproofing of the room was not good. We heard all the neighbors and the construction.

The lobby was great, the free coffee was great too.

Really good location. You can walk pretty much everywhere from the hotel.

Great spot. Close to the tube, St. Pancras, Covent garden etc. We went to a concert in Hyde Park and walked back without any stress. Food and groceries close by. Coffee machines in the foyer and breakfast area, with cold water on tap. Room was a good size and had everything we needed. Ironing board, hairdryer and the kitchen was set up really well, even though we didn't put it to the test. Fridge was very welcome as the weather was fantastic. Only criticism was that the desk staff could have been more friendly and welcoming. Wouldn't stop me going back though.
