The queen mattress was super uncomfortable and the carpet was stained. Bedding was synthetic very hot, no air conditioning or way to cool down as only a door no windows. nice primary bathroom, a lovely shower, but the other bathroom pretty rundown and needs updating.. not as nice as it looks in photos and overpriced.

Staff very welcoming and helpful. Check in was easy. Apartment was overall very clean , comfortable beds and a good selection of essentials to start you off … tea, coffee , washing up liquid etc. Bedding and towels were exceptionally clean ( nice to have big bath sheets to wrap up in instead of glorified hand towels we get in some places) Within walking distance to Covent Garden , museums etc . A nice quiet area with many restaurants, coffee shops . Would definitely stay here again

The unit was perfect for our needs. 2BR, 2BA which is rare for London. Only complaints I have were the beds were a bit lumpy and uncomfortable. Otherwise the place was very clean, had a washer, dishwasher and well stocked kitchen. Also grateful the place had a lift and ramp on the ground floor for luggage which made getting in/out of the place convenient. Located in Bloomsbury, it's an easy walk to the British Museum, Russel Square Tube station and multiple bus lines.

Location is wonderful! Walk to several adorable small restaurants - but not too many.

Windows are old and the trash collection in the mornings (8am?) may wake up light sleepers.

Not luxurious but great value and location. I would stay there again.

Our second stay at SACO on this delightful street. The flats are large, but sparsely furnished: there is just enough of everything and no more. Showers are just big enough, and a little flimsy. Most flats involve a short walk along an outside porch on each floor to access.
We loved our 1-BEDROOM last time. It was not available this time, so we had to get the slightly more expensive “Office” 1-BR. It’s supposed to be bigger, but all that meant was a bigger bedroom with a desk along the wall, BUT the living room was half the size. It did have a bigger shower stall, though.
Besides the location & sense of space in each flat, the very best thing about SACO Holborn is the staff, who man the office from 9am-7pm. Every single one of them is a jewel: friendly, quick to help, responsive to your needs. This time we had a minor crisis with a FedEx pickup of our bag. The staff were incredibly patient & kind during the 3 days it took after we left to sort that out. I particularly want to thank Sweety & Tanarat.

Spacious room with kitchen and laundry

I found this room when looking for a reasonably-priced room near Kings Cross in London with a queen-sized bed, a mini-fridge, and enough space to move around. This checks all those boxes and more! Most of the other rooms I found around this price range were much smaller, had twin/full size beds, and no fridge/kitchen. Nice bonuses for me were wifi, a clothes washing machine, and very friendly staff nearby. The location is nothing fancy, but there are pubs & shops nearby, it was quiet at night, and I felt safe walking nearby. This apartment-hotel is highly recommended as long as you don't need extra hotel amenities like room service or a pool. I will definitely consider this location for future stays!

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly throughout our stay. When we discovered that the sofa bed wouldn’t unfold, the gentleman at reception promptly arranged a folding bed as an alternative, which we really appreciated. However, the room lacked air conditioning—only fans were provided—so we had to keep the windows open at night. Unfortunately, this made it difficult to sleep due to constant noise from the street below, including sounds from nearby restaurants, trucks, and a construction site.

The apartment was clean to a point,but needs a good refurbishment, door handle hanging off,missing parts to bathroom furniture.
Bath had what looked like dirt in numerous parts,but was in fact damage to the actual bath.
So was not appealing to use.
Door needs trimming so it not so hard to open
The apartment need a good refurbishment to bring it in line for somewhere in central London.

Wasn’t impressed. The on/off knob on the shower broke for two hours before anyone could fix it. In addition the power in half the room went out which lost the ability to use the television on which the number to call for emergencies was on.
The worst part though was that i prepaid on Expedia but the person at the desk still tried charging my credit card. Then over a week later I was charged 10 pounds for no reason and no explanation.

This property is not upscale by any means. Our one bedroom was dirty, smelly, worn out, and the shower covered in mould. The bed linens are nice but the bed was completely worn out. The carpet was filthy, and the place smelled of bodily dirt. The kitchen amenities are sparse and of poor quality. There are two pubs nearby which are quite noisy. The building is not wheelchair accessible and there are no wheelchair accessible units. I usually don’t write bad reviews but I would not stay here again or recommend to anyone. The management wouldn’t respond to any of my communications.

This was an ideal base for a week long stay in London. It is within easy walk of many underground and overground stations, including St Pancras for regional services. Lamb's Conduit is a very funky street, home to good restaurants such as Noble Rot. The property itself is not exactly flash, but internally it is very comfortable, has excellent facilities for cooking and washing and even basic entertainment. The only issue is that without airconditioning it can be very warm in the apartments, though they did provide a fan. Fine when the temp is in the low 20s, but could be a problem when it gets hotter. Nice and efficient operators. Thoroughly recommended.

Have had a few previous stays here, and enjoyed it. But the property is showing its age, and service standards gone down. A major issue was the total lack of air movement in the hot, stuffy apartment - it was sweltering. Staff did bring electric fans, but SACO needs to update these flats!
They also should revise the policy of garbage pick-up/cleaning only once a week. In warm weather, leaving food garbage for 5-6 days is not okay. During my stay, the lifts also were offline for 2-days - and clients (paying $$$ for their stay) had no assistance to carry luggage up many flights of stairs (I saw one couple had large suitcases to haul to the 5th floor).
The location is excellent, and points to the weekend staff who did try to help.. but the value for money from SACO has diminished at this location. Install air systems, please!

I cannot wait to stay here again. I am a female on a solo trip to London in late October/early November. SACO Holborn sent information before the trip on how to access my key if I arrived out of reception hours, as well as directions from Russell Square tube station.
The flat was immaculate and had everything that I needed: full size refrigerator/freezer, microwave, cooker/stove top, microwave, dish washer and washer. They supplied dishwashing/laundry soap as well as soap/shampoo, etc. in the bathroom. The heated towel rack was amazing!
The staff in reception were great and I send a shout out to Jo.
The location cannot be beaten for convenience to the tube and bus transportation. There are groceries/coffee houses/restaurants and cafes on the street. I felt safe and welcome. Thank you SACO Holborn for a wonderful stay.

I have stayed here before but I have now decided that SACO Holborn is my favourite place to stay in London. The apartment was quiet and comfortable, and at the end of a two-week trip elsewhere, the washer and dryer were a godsend. It's a 2-minute walk along the street to the stunning Noble Rot restaurant, or to the magnificent Victorian pub, The Lamb. And since my last visit to London there is now open and nicely restored at the top of the street a Victorian subterranean public toilet, WC Bloomsbury--WC now standing for Wine and Charcuterie! It was closed down and derelict for about 50 years but is now bustling with diners and tipplers. The apartment's kitchen has every appliance for you to fix your own meals, and you are less than a 10-minute walk from a large Waitrose supermarket, Boots the Chemist, and many other shops. Russell Square underground station is equally close by. Excellent, fast WiFi in the apartment, too.

My daughter and friend stayed here while attending a class. The property was clean and well maintained, and it was great for them to have an apartment with a washer/dryer and kitchen. It is really centrally located in London, in a very nice neighborhood. However, what really stood out was the professionalism of staff. They have an excellent system for communications and whenever there was an issue, they were very helpful.

We 1.5 hrs arrived early but our room was ready! The 1-bdrm was really perfect for us as our base. The kitchen had all the necessities to make simple meals and a roomy enough fridge for drinks and a few days of food. The staff were friendly as well. I felt safe in the building and area. It gets a little noisy at in the front but the bedroom faced back so bc all was good.

Overall we had a lovely stay and the apartments are in a superb location on Lambs Conduit Street.

We were able to check in very early which was definitely a bonus, although I was surprised to have to pay £10 for this despite the room being ready anyway. Also, for the money you pay, I would expect things like Netflix and Prime to be available on the TV. And whilst the bathroom and shower were great, not being able to turn off the radiator in the bathroom was frustrating. It was incredibly hot and made the whole apartment very warm. Not too much of an issue in November, but it certainly would be in the summer.

We have stayed before and it was fine but this time the TV kept turning off and then when we went to bed there was a loud buzzing noise that carried on through the night. We used the number the supplier and no one answered. Not ideal if you have small children who need to sleep.

I was disappointed to find that the one-bedroom apartment that I had was a little shabby and in need of some TLC. Also had to change apartments after a leak from the floor above which went directly on to the bed - that was done with courtesy and promptness though. On moving to the other apartment 2 floors down I found it just the same - ie a little tired. However, all in all not bad but a bit expensive.

Everything was great except the property has NO air conditioning at all… and when it’s 30°C in London with no AC, none of us could sleep…. Add to that the jet lag flying from Western Canada, and it makes for a pretty crappy 5 nights in London with hardly any sleep. It was SO hot in the apartment, none of our family of 5 could really sleep… they did provide us with some fans, but they hardly helped as they’re not great fans to start with. Thank goodness we left London 3 days before 38° C temps on 18 and 19 July….

Other than that, the property was in a GREAT location and the general unit was VERY nice - JUST needed to have AC. But that made the entire stay there uncomfortable. I’m sure in cool weather, it’s the perfect place to stay!!!

These apartments are not perfect but pretty close to it! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and this will definitely be our \"go to\" accommodation when in London....except in July and August as this property does not have a/c and even in early June it was very warm inside the apartment. Thankfully they did have large glass doors in the living room which opened up and helped, as long as you don't mind the sounds of London (I personally enjoyed the liveliness). They also provided fans which was helpful at night as the bedroom windows only open up about 2 inches.
The location was fabulous! Lovely leafy, safe, neighborhood, a short walk to the tube and shopping center.
The staff were very friendly, helpful and quick to rectify any complaints of which sadly we had a few.
The beds were super comfortable and the linens were all of a very high quality.
I would recommend that the management provide tissues, paper towel, an oven rack that fits the oven, and a plug for the kitchen sink

We had a nice stay here. Good location for exploring London. We had no towels when we arrived but after a quick call this was rectified.
I would be wary of the “fresh milk” advertised as this was a few sachets of UHT milk. Overall nice experience.

This property overall was good. It was clean, updated, and the staff was nice and responsive. I gave it a 3 because it didn’t have AC and with that we had to open the windows. I’m all about the fresh air but this apartment is in a city— the restaurants below were loud, cars, emergency vehicles etc were loud until late in the evening.

I would not stay here again in the spring or summer months.

Family of 5 stay near Covent Garden

As a family of 5 I cannot tell you how lovely it was to have space for us all. It was a lovely sized apartment. Our apartment was spotless and the sofa bed was already made up for us so I didn’t even have to do any work on arrival. Two bathrooms were a godsend so we all get ready nicely. The WiFi was good, the location was great for a walk to Covent Garden, it took about 15 minutes. It was warm and felt secure.

I wished I was staying for two nights!

Perfect apartment for us to stay in while our little boy was in Hospital for a few weeks. Just across the road from Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital we could be close to him in a very difficult time. Washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen made it home away from home. Reception staff couldn’t have been more helpful and were very understanding of our situation. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

Very comfortable stay!

Overall, a very good property and stay. Despite the need for some cosmetic care (damage to wall, ceilingg paint, etc...), the stay was very comfortable and a location we would gladly book again.

This apartment was clean and homely and had everything i needed and a couple of nice little extra touches.
Location was perfect for me and great to have a well stocked shop below for convenience.
