When I arrived the bed was unclean, the toilet was filled with faeces, I went to speak to the manager twice And no one was around either time, also the door to my room did not lock properly, there was no hot water no matter how long I ran the tap, will not be staying again

I booked a double room, but it felt more like a single room with just a double bed squeezed in. The room was too small and very different from the photos shown online, which was disappointing. The receptionist was not friendly or welcoming. We were also not able to sleep properly because there was a lot of noise from the floor above — the floor was squeaking loudly whenever people walked, which was very disturbing throughout the night.

Hotel was quiet so could sleep, they give you more than enough coffees and teas which is great but the floor was a bit questionable, it was uneven and i didnt feel it was very secure when walking around the room, owner is a bit offish when you check in but happy when you check out lol. If you just need somewhere to get your head down for a cheap rate then book it but dont expect the world, it really is just a means to an end kind of place, would book again if on the same budget.

TV had no channels. Out side light came on when any one walked by . Horrible stay even considered going home, not a bathroom more like a portaloo my husband could even fit in , worst HOTEL Ive ever stayed in

Just poor in all ways. See Google review for photos to describe this review. Greeted at reception by a chap in a smelly office with bare feet. Room for had gaps all around it (not fire) bed bases worn, sockets old and yellow, carpet worn, marks all over the wall and for fun a bare bulb for lighting. As initially mentioned just poor! If it was £50 for a stopover I would have managed, not £100s avoid unless in dianneed.

My stay at Goodwood Hotel was disappointing. Upon arrival, I encountered extremely poor customer service — the front desk staff (who I believe was also the manager) was rude and raised his voice at me when I calmly suggested there was a better way to communicate hotel policies. I was surprised at the hostility, especially when I was simply asking about holding my bags for a couple of hours before check-in.

The rooms are very small, and most of them have *shared bathrooms*, which was in the advert but you have to be paying attention. None of the rooms are as advertised - the front desk staff verbatim said the picture posted online is used for all the rooms and the rooms don’t actually look like that. The bathroom facilities were in poor condition — more like small closet-sized stalls, with the toilet and shower in separate, cramped spaces. Not kept clean - Definitely not what you'd expect even from a 2-star hotel.

The bed was reasonably comfortable, and check-in/out outside of the first encounter went smoothly. That said, you truly get what you pay for — maybe even less. I was glad it was just a one-night stay!

Arrived at hotel, reception didn’t seem aware of the process.

Went up to the bedroom which was on a slant, with uneven floorboards and the wooden cupboards were water damaged.

Our room was adjacent to the shared toilet, we could hear a man urinating as if we were in the toilet with him.

We weren’t aware that the bathroom’s were shared and would have made a go of it but my wife is pregnant and the showers were on different floors, so it was unsuitable.

Spoke to hotels.com regarding the issue and they agreed to call reception and ask for a refund. It took too long so we checked out, the receptionist was in the ignoring the ringing phone.

It then took the hotel three days to answer the call from Hotels.com regarding a refund, but they refused.

Avoid if you desire cleanliness and a good attitude.

First room was a moldy room in the basement with neither electrical outlets nor connectivity. There were random bits of trash strewn around. After I complained, I was put in a better top floor room, except also with leftover towels from a previous guest in random places. Then, the day before I left, a sewage pipe appears to have burst on my floor, with what appeared to be feces-mixed water leaking down into a bucket that had been placed in the stairway below. This was not fixed, nor was it mentioned at all by the staff.

Room was okay unfortunately the hot water tap in the bathroom did not operate fully with a very low water flow (drips). As I was just there one night I got by. However in the morning whilst having a shower I heard a knock on the door and was told to stop as the water was leaking to the floor below. So not a very pleasant experience. Room was okay for price paid.

Can’t complain for the price really, but the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable and the shower was angled awkwardly so had to hold it in a specific spot at all times. Water was also very hard to get to the right temp. Neighboring rooms were also very loud

The only reason this hotel gets a star at all is the redeaming qualities of the staff who were perfectly cordial, professional and pleasant. Also, it doesnt allow you to give 0
The bed was disgusting with a literally spring sticking out of the mattress. Our only solace was that the sheets were crisp and clean as was the bedding. We opted to stay in our street clothes nonetheless. Our guest mates above continued their nightly inebriation outside our door ALL night, the conversation was chaotic, volatile, loud ranging from uncontrollable sobbing to maniacal laughter.
The staff attempted once to quiet them to no success. It was close to terrifying
You could smell the rancid booze every time they walked past our room
Let's not skip over the odious scent of the hotel in general; damp, musty and urinated.

Super close to the CBD and easy to get in and out of.
No bag drop if you are flying in early and no check in before 2pm. Would call it more of a hostel than a hotel. Good for a cheap(er) option close to the city

When we showed up to check if was possible to check in earlier the attendant reply that he don’t know why we where there before the check in time. When we ask for help for a place to store the bags he didn’t even try to give us any information.

Great location for Euston, Kings Cross and Russell ...
No rooms with 2 double beds - Hotels.com should not indicate available when not an option (even though pictures give impression it is). Did try messaging before stay but no reply.
No net curtains on ground floor room where windows at street level so have to keep dark curtains closed with lights on at all times.
Old sash style windows single glazed and not soundproofed or insulated, thankfully had wall radiator but that doesn't help the sound you hear from the nearby pubs/bars or people stood outside hotel.
Raised (not mentioned for those with mobility issues) wet room ensuite cubicle door did not stay shut unless locked from inside & door footplate was loose with screw sticking up!
Rooms do NOT have a hairdryer as booking indicated there was - there is 1 hair dryer for ALL 27 rooms.
Only 1 thin towel per person, no hand towel or wet room floor towel so you step out into room with wet feet! (Thankfully had 4 towels as room was for 4 even though only 2 of us).
No housekeeping for duration of stay.
TV only had BBC stations.
Doors are not designed to close quietly - our room had front door & entry corridor one side & entry corridor to other rooms and floors on another. Front door, corridor doors (our room was sandwiched between two), & other room doors banged constantly throughout the evening & in to early hours.
Two double drains on road just outside so constant dumdum dumdum - road closure saved us after day 1.

I never got to sleep in the room since they lied to me about letting me check in a few minutes (15) late due to the late artival of my flight. Instead I was left standing on the street with my luggage and no place to go. I highly caution anyone contemplating this hotel to avoid it at all costs.

Overall, I was satisfied with my stay. Good location. Hotel was clean bit some areas were tired although there were obvious signs of ongoing work such as painting, carpet replacement but some not to a great standard. Shared shower had a good flow. A small amount of mould in shower but difficult to avoid in such a small, enclosed area, but otherwise very clean. Staff were helpful. It would have been useful to have a solid hook on the back of the door or wall to hand my coat and towel as the coat rail and unit were a bit flimsy. No mirror anywhere I could find to do makeup etc.

Welcomed nicely by the staff.
The walkways throughout (including stairs) are very narrow. And there is no lift.
Our room has an en-suite and the room had all the amenities you needed for a short stay.
The bed was a little uncomfortable but done the job for one night close to KingsX. The bathroom was small but pleasant - the other negative was the shower curtain was quite stained and dirty.

The room is not as pictured . Very, very small. Not the cleanest either. Not a very good mattress at all. Paper thin walls. Could hear peoples conversations in the next room. If you are a late arrival (past midnight) you are not getting in. That added a bit of stress. The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive, nothing negative there at all. Location is great with food and drink close by. Good proximity to railways so that is good. Not worth the $180 CDN I paid. Maybe $100 to $120 would have been more palatable. I'd not stay again unfortunately.

Really friendly staff, easy check in, perfect location. Room was clean and bed comfy. Fan in room was much appreciated.
Windows could do with updating- v busy road and a lot of traffic noise all night. Also other residents were banging/ shouting throughout the night which I appreciate is difficult to police.
All in all was exactly what we needed and was great for one night but was not a good night’s sleep.

The location is probably the best thing about this place. You can leave the hotel at any time, which is exactly what you will want to do because staying inside is not something you would enjoy.

The overall experience was disappointing. The manager was quite grumpy and had trouble understanding or speaking English, which made even simple communication frustrating. There is no option for early or late check in, and there is no luggage storage either. That is somewhat understandable since the room itself feels smaller than a typical storage cupboard.

I booked through Expedia based on the photos, but I was genuinely shocked when I arrived. The room looked nothing like the images and was maybe a quarter of the size shown online. Based on my stay, I would not recommend this hotel.

Property was quite run down and could do with face lift. Our room had no ventilation as all the windows where boarded up and on the fist night we discovered that this was to keep the rats out that we could hear scratching on the wooden panels. This made the room uncomfortably hit and you couldn’t tell if it was night or day. The shower had some molding it and the radiator in the bathroom was rusty. You could feel the springs in the mattress. It’s stated daily maid service and we stayed for 3 nights and our bins where not emptied so a maid did not enter our room

The room that was given to us was dirty, with beer bottles, bed undone, paper everywhere. They change the room for us however the ‘clean’ room was still not great. The receptionist was without shoes and his socks were drying in the heater next door. It was disgusting. The smell of the whole place was gross. You shouldn’t be selling this hotel in this platform.

We didnt get the rooms we booked- we booked 2 x 2 queen rooms, we got 1 with a double and single and 1 with 3 singles, bot a major issue but not what we booked. It was a heatwave weekend, 1 of the rooms had a fan and the other didnt, it was incredibly warm! The other room id booked apparently the toilet smelled quite badly. Most importantly be asare you cant store luggage at yhis hotel, its the first hotel ive stayed at that doesnt allow this, we were fortunate enough to have a guy on reception that pet us leave our luggage on check in but we payed premier in. On our way back for storage

Using the term “hotel” for this place is generous. When we arrived, there was no lobby of any kind, just a desk at the end of a hallway with no signage of any kind. There was no one at the desk upon our arrival, after several minutes, an employee arrived. We eventually went to our room (at the bottom of the smallest staircase known to man), the room was extremely crammed and not well kept. The shower was barely big enough for one adult and was dirty / potentially moldy?

We had booked 8 nights at this place, we didn’t end up staying even 45 minutes as we felt uneasy at this place. Then, we were not able to get a refund of any sort - which is ridiculous as we did not stay even one night.

Overall, the stay was fine for the price, and it served its purpose as I needed to be up early to catch a train.

That said, the room was extremely small — there wasn’t enough space for my luggage, so I had to leave it on the bed. The walls were very thin, and I could hear other guests walking past my door with suitcases and talking. The narrow corridor meant they often knocked into the walls, which added to the noise.

The room included a sink and a kettle with a generous supply of tea and coffee, which was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable, but instead of a duvet, there was a heavy, fluffy blanket — not ideal for summer and not the most hygienic. The pillows were also quite firm - a softer one would have also been nice.

In summary, it’s a decent option for a budget stay, but don’t expect a quiet night’s sleep.

Basic, no frills but good for price

Good location, very close to tube. Basic no frills accommodation. Was clean, bathroom very small but have had worse showers in nicer hotels!!
Staff friendly.
