Had a lovely one night stay.Friendly ,helpful staff and complimentary baggage holding on days of arrival and departure so appreciated.
Breakfast very nice and coffee tasty.Brighter lighting over mirrors would be helpful for the ladies.

It is a nice clean hotel, but it does not have elevators and also the airconditioning did not work the entire stay we were there. We complained to the front desk several times, and they can control it from their panel but it did not work the entire stay and it was very hot and uncomfrotable. The room itself was nice and clean and the breakfast offering was very good and the neighboorhood is very nice and very close to metro and train stations Kings Cross and St Pancrass International. Unfortunately, we stayed on the 3rd floor and had large luggages which was very cumbersome to take up the 3 sets of flights of stairs with no elevators.

Great hotel. Rooms are small, but you have everything you need. Everything is clean and tidy. I really appreciated refilled glass pitcher of potable water every day. Free breakfast was delicious and had a lot of both hot and cold options. Close to the train stations, a few food shops and pubs, but otherwise you need the tube or 20-30min to get to sightseeing

The facility was clean and neat. We stayed in a two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We also had the living room and a full kitchen. This is a place where I will stay again. The staff was very friendly and the check-in was easy. Thank you very much for providing us a temporary home while we were in the UK. We hope to stay with you again in the future.

I really enjoyed my short stay at the Judd hotel. The run was small for my partner and I ( which I anticipated with the reviews) but the staff was really friendly and helpful. The hotel room was clean and the bed is comfortable. I also enjoyed breakfast, it was delicious and cozy. If in London for a short stay, I would highly recommend Judd for the price and the convenient area that is located in, plenty of restaurants and shops and close to major transportation.

Super great value for staying so close to Bloomsbury and the Russell Square Tube station. Spouse was doing research at the British Library, which was a short walk from the hotel. Gracious, attentive front desk staff and nice breakfast. The room is on the smaller side, but that is to be expected for London. The room was refreshed every day we were there, which was much appreciated. Very pleased, would stay again!

I stayed here for two weeks so I got to know the hotel and staff well. This is a well-run hotel, with very helpful, friendly staff. The location cannot be better, as it is on a lovely crescent street abutting Cartwright Gardens. The British Museum and other fine museums are just a 10-to 14-minute walk away. The buffet breakfast is hearty and served until 10 am. Since I was there during a heatwave, I used the air conditioning (own thermostat controls) daily, no hassles. I was on the second floor, which meant stairs (there is no lift), so if that’s an issue for you, request a ground-floor room. I highly recommend.

Great staff and excellent customer service. A wonderfully clean hotel. Bathroom a little on the small side but not unexpected for the age of the property and number of rooms. Shower was powerful, and the toiletries were a nice touch. The whole space was really pleasant - and we were incredibly thankful for the aircon when the temperatures outside reached 36°c.

Breakfast was a little different - I've never stayed anywhere that cooks toast and leaves it in a basket for guests to pick from on a buffet before - unfortunately led to some chewy cold toast!

There were around 5 members of staff attending to breakfast and only space in the dining room for approx 24 guests, so easily could have been cooking to order - yet food was being cooked or prepared continuously whether needed or not with only 10 guests present.

There are no refrigerated buffet units, so was put off of trying the yogurt / cheeses etc, and the fruit juices weren't cold. I don't think the buffet warmers for the beans etc were working either, those were cool.

That being said, the quality of food I ate was good, all the food was flavourful - just unfortunately it was either overcooked under the heat lamps because it was cooked well before needed, else it was cold.

Overall our stay was lovely, and I would happily consider staying at the hotel again in future, but would love to see the hotel restructure their breakfast arrangements to save waste and do justice to the quality of food they're serving.

No one at reception on arrival and for around an hour thereafter with no explanation and no one to contact (given phone number rang through to empty front desk). Given basement room which didn’t feel that secure as solo female traveller. Asked to change but there was no good alternative. Did not enjoy staying here and would not stay again.

The hotel was nice and the breakfast was good. We were disappointed to find our room was in the basement right beside the breakfast room. Everyone walking past on the street looked down into our room. The hotel plumbing sounded like it ran through our room it was so loud and there was a loud noise that sounded like a noisy washing machine that went for ages. We weren't very happy with our room and wouldn't return. Possibly other rooms might give a better experience.

Was disappointed that the cheapest rooms are in the basement, even though it was £550+ for 3 nights , also there was a draft through the widow, and with being next to the front door there was groups of people talking in front of the hotel all the time, the staff where all friendly and helpfull, breakfast was very good and the staff very nice and nothing was to much trouble, a good start to a busy day, rooms were clean and spacious, kettle, coffee machine, hairdryer, bed was a little hard and so were the pillows. Would stay again as in good location to all the stations but would have to pay more not to be in the basement.

Was told breakfast was 7.30-10 so we went for breakfast at 8.30/8.45am. There was only 1 hash brown left so my husband asked if some more was going to be brought out and he was told \"no, it's finished, it's over\". Basically we got told that breakfast was over yet there should be another hour of breakfast left. I had a couple of rashers of bacon, a fried egg, a sausage and some beans because I had to take medication with a meal and everything was cold. My husband decided to just have toast and a cup of tea so we went to go and buy some breakfast from a local pub.
The man who greeted us when we arrived/checked in on Thursday was really lovely, friendly and welcoming but we didn't see him again.
Other members of staff came across as quite stern and emotionless which is a shame. We were looking forward to a lovely breakfast but we had to go and buy one elsewhere.

The staff is friendly, the breakfast is great with good service. The room…I think maybe we got the last pick of the rooms, but our room looked like someone had shrunk the photo. The bed was shoved against the wall and there was barely room for passage on the other side. The entry has 3 doorways opening into one another, further complicating logistics. The headboard was flaking material off, there was a big water stain on the ceiling. The room didn’t feel dirty, just like it is well past time for a refresh. There is a big spotlight on the building right outside our window and the blackout curtains were falling off the track, so that was challenging for our jet lagged selves. The doors pull themselves shut behind you and all squeak and squeal during use, so middle-of-the-night bathroom visits will definitely wake your partner. Apparently the corner on the street outside our room is also the gathering spot during hourly smoking breaks, the windows are single pane, the doors are drafty, and their conversation and cigarette smell woke us often. But the strangest part of our stay was the wafts of sharp sewage smell coming from the bathroom. Leaving the fan on made it worse. We have remodeled a few homes so we knew the smell must be coming from a drain line, when we put a wet towel over the shower drain, that made a huge difference. Sketchy people walk by when headed out. Maybe this is just the London experience….certainly a stay we will not forget.

Great location just about 10-15 min walk from Euston or King Cross station. Staff are friendly and ready assist.
Rooms are on the smaller side but we exected that.
Breakfast attendants are really nice.
Breakfast is same as other hotels, hot and cold items available.
There is a park across the street if anyone wants to jog. It closes at dusk though.
If you don't like stairs, stay on the main floor. There's no elevators.
And the 3rd floor stairs are really narrow, so that surprised me. There was very little space for my luggage to go thru.
But it added to the charm. It is an old place.
Everything is spotless.
The only downside was on the last night of my stay, my room (and only my room) lost power. The staff could not figure out why and the place was fully booked. We could not be moved to another room.
They gave us one lamp. It was difficult to use the lamp to go from the main room to the wash room. Basically, if one of us had to go to the washroom, the other would be left in the dark.
I think it's just bad luck, and not a frequent occurance.
We were fairly compensated for the inconveneince.

Had a real problem checking in. Nobody on reception, waited around outside for 10 mins then spent 20 mins waiting in the reception room. Eventually another guest found the member of staff. Room was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was profoundly average - hot food was not replenished quickly and the cold buffet is a bit limp. Overall, this is a decent hotel with distinct downsides.

Room was in building across road which was fine, 4th floor stairs were scuffed and paint chips everywhere which didn't make a good impression. Room was tiny, couldn't even walk round bed. At top of bed there is a shelf, there was debris stuck in there above our heads and shelf was covered in dust/dirt. Paint chips everywhere on wood and massive scuffs on the walls. Had tea and coffee making facilities but no tea or coffee, what's that all about, was that a sales opportunity, though that was standarBathroom had 4+ tiles loose on floor, tiny shower leaked and shower head was not great either. Had to go over to reception at 11 pm that evening as electric went off leaving us in darkness.Going over to breakfast it said the newly refurbished Judd, the stairs to the breakfast room were as bad with chips off the wood. The breakfast was nice with good selection but the room was cramped, tables were in middle of room with people pushing past each other and leaning over each other while you were having breakfast which is not nice at all. To be honest this was meant to be a special occasion which we paid nearly £400 for 2 nights, if we wanted budget we would have paid a lot less and got more for our money. The reason we did not complain is simple, we were there for 2 nights and had a lot of things planned, we did not want to waste our time and upsetting ourselves putting the points across. I am pretty sure the hotel can see what is wrong but are relying on stupid tourists saying nothing.

The hotel is smart and tastefully decorated. Staff are friendly and very helpful. After our checkout, we were asked if we'd like our bags stored while we went out for the day. This was really useful as we were doing a lot of walking- visiting galleries and shopping. Breakfast was fantastic and buffet-style. there was a good choice of hot and cold items. The room was quite small and remote in our room was a bit worn, so buttons didn't work well, but staff noted this and said they'd change it for the next visitors. The stairs are narrow and we were on the third floor- we appreciated the lovely view over the park, but as there was no lift, it would not be suitable for the someone with a physical disability. We would certainly use this hotel again.

The single pane windows allow too much street noise in, and make the rooms cold in the winter/spring. This Hotel advertises itself as sound proofed - not true. Our first floor room was on the street corner. This led to endless people talking loudly at all times of the night on their phones and when they went out for a smoke/vape. It was also a terrible spot for early morning deliveries to the Hotel. We asked for a room at the back of the Hotel, but that didn't happen.

The general appearance and decor of the property was good. Reception staff were helpful and as we had an early departure the next morning arranged a packed breakfast. The room however was small. If the bed was 6ft long the room can only be 7 ft wide, which made walking around the bed awkward avoiding furniture and the wall mounted TV. The bed itself wasn’t very comfortable (this is a personal opinion) . Sorry but we won’t book again

Great location close to restaurants, bars and public transport. Front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful. There’s a fridge at reception where you can buy water and soft drinks. The room (in a annexe a short walk away) was small but very clean and the shower looked brand new, equipped with fresh, clean white towels and mini bottles of shampoo and shower gel as well as shampoo, shower gel and conditioner within the shower itself. Couldn’t work out the heating so should have asked about that as it was coldish at night. Sadly missed breakfast! Would definitely stay here again as it is very good value for money.

I wish I stayed at Travelodge, it would have been cheaper and I would have got good night sleep. I would not recommended this place!

The room was clean and tidy with towels, hairdryer, TV, kettle, coffee machine. Bathrooms had bodywash, shampoo and conditioner.

Breakfast had lots of options, hot and cold. Pastries, cereals, toast hot full English breakfast options.
They stored our bags for the whole day while we were out.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The check-in online made the whole process on site alot quicker.

We were 4 female friends in 50s. Good location for visiting central london. 10-15 min walk to Kings Cross / St Pancras. Small but adequate rooms. Rating lowered due to twin room changed to a single on arrival and the double bed was pushed against the wall - not what we booked, wanted and uncomfortable in small space. No discount for this. Breakfast adequate but coffee machine broke. Seating in dining area old and torn. Having said that, staff were friendly and we would stay again emphasising we would want rooms as booked.

We stayed at The Judd for a few days this week…. Fabulous, quiet location about a 7 minute walk from kings cross and the same to Russell Square tube so super convenient!

Our room ( G6) was very convenient and clean and our room was changed every day with new towels and bedding. My only other hopefully constructive comment was that this room could have been even lovelier with a lick of paint on the woodwork

Finally a huge shout out for all the lovely staff, from the reception to the breakfast room and housekeeping staff. You all work hard and are doing a great job…. Well done team. We will definitely stay here again!!

The room was cleaned daily. It was extremely small with no fridge. The bathroom was somewhat modern, but the shower was unnecessarily narrow. Not appropriate for a large person. I am fairly small, and even I had trouble soaping myself up in the shower. I think a heavy person would have to step out, lather up, and step back in! The first room I was in had an incredibly noisy machine running all night long. I complained and got a quiet room. The front desk staff was friendly and competent. The breakfast room staff were much less so.

We were in a lower ground room so the view from the window was limited, the room smelt slightly of damp and we were next to the laundry which caused a lot of doors opening and closing. None of these issues overwhelming but collectively distracting. On the upside the breakfast was excellent.

In common with many hotels there is a gloopy check in system with check boxes to agree to conditions no-one is ever going to read. Overuse of IT in common with many others.

The room we were given looked nothing like the advertised room. It was below ground next to the kitchen. The bathroom door didn't open fully as the bed was too close as it was a tiny room. The bathroom smelt horrendous.
The breakfast room was tiny, with people queuing next to our table. Being watched by queuing people isn't my idea of a relaxing breakfast.

Room was basic but clean. We picked the hotel for the location which was ideal, 5 minutes from Euston. Breakfast was fine although you will struggle to get a seat when busy.

Room very small. A single room with a double bed. Room not very clean, looked very tired and scuffed walls and skirting board.
Breakfast room not very inviting
No lift so be aware if you have heavy cases

Great value hotel room. Room was small so probably not so good if you're planning to stay for a long time but absolutely fine for ilusvfor and overnight trip when we were out most of the time. Full English was great and set us up nicely for another day's sightseeing. Good location with easy access to Euston and Russell Square tube.

It was a nice enough hotel for the one night before travel. Very convenient to Kings Cross. We had heavy suitcases and we placed on the 3rd floor so had lots of stairs to lug our luggage and were exhausted! A lift would have been so very nice.
Otherwise- it’s a nice hotel at a good price.
