Great location next to the Holborn underground station. Mobility is amazing. WiFi was down for 3 days severely affecting my productivity. No fix was given, just a vague promise of an engineer coming at some point. Staff was present and kind.

The hotel had a lively vibe but the communal areas were very busy at all times with people working on laptops etc. We tried to sit in the bar/sitting area on a number of occasions, but there were no seats available. The room was clean and nicely decorated but very small for a twin. It was also quite dark as the window was angled to the side of the room. The hotel doesn’t serve breakfast, but they offer a small breakfast bag delivered to the room for £5. To my recollection, this included a piece a fruit, juice and yogurt. The main selling point of this hotel is its proximity to town and to a tube station. It’s only a 10-15 minute walk from Covent Garden.

Excellent hotel in a great location. Super friendly staff, room spotless and very comfortable with lots of big pillows , high quality bed, a Roberts digital radio as well as TV. Bathroom looked brand new, free shampoo, conditioner, soap etc. Restaurant and bar also great , plenty of room to lounge. Tasty breakfast cooked to order. 5 stars

Even though I went one up on size, the room was just tiny and too small for two. Likewise you couldn’t turn around in the bathroom, nowhere to hang towels, store toiletries etc. Nice hotel but the smaller rooms are just not fit for purpose.

Did not eat or have any meals at the property. It was nice the restaurant side had a Photo Booth but it would have been nicer to have iconic London on the print out or backdrop. It was a very quaint boutique type property. One block away from the underground and a supermarket on the corner. Very accessible by Underground and walking to other areas under 20mins. If I go back to London (4th time) I would definitely stay here again. Neighborhood quiet and safe. There is security at the automatic door during the evening.

Mattress very poor quality as sunken on both sides of the double. Springs had gone. Sleeping was uncomfortable and bed very creaky. Reported to Reception when we checked out. If we hadn’t got back to the hotel so late in the evening after seeing a show, we would have asked to swap rooms. Disappointing after a previous stay a few years ago.

Our corner room had a lovely view, which was a highlight of the stay. However, during our four nights, housekeeping never serviced the room. Bathroom amenities were very minimal, and the towels were quite small and thin. I’ve stayed here a few times because the location is excellent, but it consistently feels like more attention is given to the lobby vibe than to making guests feel genuinely welcome. The rooms are clean, but overall they feel a bit underwhelming for the price point. That said, the location truly is amazing.

I really enjoyed my stay here as it was close to many place in walking distance. I chose the snug room since I was traveling by myself. It was a good size for one person but I wish they had a luggage rack since I had to use the only chair in the room to hold my suitcase. I also used half of the bed to place my clothes since there is no shelf or cabinet to put those on. Other than that the front desk was super helpful with answering all my questions.

The Hoxton was an interesting place to stay. If it had been about 25% cheaper, I’d probably have not minded the flaws but at the price I’d paid, I was disappointed.

The lobby on a weekday was utter chaos. Not relaxing at all. The room was nice, but somewhat pokey, poorly laid out and lacking in features like places to put luggage. The gigantic circular mirror also managed to be set up in such a way that simply sitting in bed and looking in the mirror led to a very unflattering profile.

The bed was comfy and it was a good place to sleep, the vibes were good, but overall I felt like I’d paid a premium price for a mid-range room and was left a bit disappointed.

The staff are magnificent, especially Sam & Victoria. So cheerful & accommodating. Hotel is situated 2 minute walk from the underground Central & Piccadilly lines. Lots of eating & drinking establishments nearby within easy walking distance. Hotel itself is quaint with a good dining area. Rooms are small if you’re used to North American size rooms but, so is most of Europe. Clean, modern rooms with comfy king size bed & modern bathroom. Expensive but highly recommended!!!

What I didn't like was the lobby was full of people plugged in on their laptops like a Starbucks. They weren't really ordering anything but taking up all the seating where as guests we had a hard time finding space. Don't understand why the hotel allows this since not seeing much revenue from it or create an area for hotel guests separately. I spoke to another couple and they won't stay at the hotel again because of it.

We had to ask to call to ask for a turndown service and even when we requested this, the bed sheets were never changed, items went missing, the shower had no door so we were constantly using towels to clean up puddles/mess and were only given two towels for a week

We booked the biggie room since we wanted a king size bed. It is actually two twins pushed together and each had a dip in the mattress. The room was clean. By design The Hoxton is minimalist so minimal day light from the window and accents of lights to provide ambience but not illumination. The bathroom is tasteful, however the hot water in the shower never got hot enough and there is not a towel warming bar. Just FYI if you are a hot shower and warm towel person while staying in London.

The wifi seemed slow but with so many people in the lobby using it, it wasnt surprising. The room was quiet and a touch small for us but we made it work. The staff were extremely helpful, polite, and gave us great recommendations for the area. We did have an air conditioner issue but the staff got it fixed for us while we were out. There are some great shops, restaurants, and grocery stores nearby. The hotel is conveniently located to bus and underground transportation which helped us on our travels.

You also need to request your room to be cleaned each day (wasn't mentioned at check in and then had to request this - which they forgot each day - hotel should include this as standard). Good hotel though overall, would recommend for shot stays though given room sizes and having to request room cleaning.

My third time at The Hoxton Holbourn and it continues to be one of my favorites. The location, the vibe and atmosphere. I’ve also stayed at Southwark which is also excellent but in terms of convenience to restaurants and theater I would recommend Holbourn.

The room was small as expected, but although advertised as a queen bed, it appeared to be a standard double. It was also broken and creaky. You can hear noise from the corridor as if there is no door. Long queue to check in. Customer service is fairly useless. I got about 4 emails back, all saying different things about the same question. By the time they came up with the right answer, the change date had passed, and they wouldn't allow a change to the booking. The bar is eye-wateringly expensive. There are many better hotels local to this for the money.

Only small issue (on me not them) bed was on the smaller side. I'm 6ft4in and was longer than the bed. I thought I had picked a queen, it was a double. I have stayed at the Hoxton in Southwark and had a completely different experience. This is why I chose this hotel but was extremely disappointed. To claim it is 4 stars and ask 400 on some nights was absurd. The lobby was full of people who are not guests of the hotel leaving no space for those who are. The room was dark and dank with college/ uni like furniture. Stained carpet, and one window that was half blacked out. The TV had only a few local channels. I have traveled to London several times and know this is not the norm. The bathroom had no amenities, no makeup mirror, cotton balls, swabs, shower hat. There were no robes and the towels were rough and scratchy. The shower was open with only a small glass partition and after every shower it would flood in to the bathroom using all available towels to prevent someone from slipping and falling. There was a strange outlet in the bathroom (so hidden it was found at the end of the trip).The dirty glasses were never replaced, you have to request housekeeping and overall it felt like more of a hostel than a hotel. I only hope that people see this review as when I was doing my research if I saw an honest one like this I would have avoided this hotel at all cost!

Had asked for a low floor three weeks in advance, and when I got there, the front desk was chitchatting offering me a fifth floor upgrade instead of a low floor, which I asked for then I wound up in a fourth floor with a bad knee that’s why I requested it and I never got it. Not even the next day to follow up on me Terrible.

I have stayed at lots of Hoxton's around the world, and this specific one on multiple occasions. One of the key components of the \"Hoxton magic\" is its staff. This trip, at this location, everyone felt really sullen and just a bit grumpy. We were celebrating our recent wedding with family and friends and every other place we stayed the staff went above and beyond to make it an incredible experience. This was not the case at the Hoxton.
In addition, we asked if the room was close to the elevators as we are both light sleepers, the check in staff said no, and it \"doesn't matter anyway because the rooms are soundproof\". Our room was immediately next to the elevator, and having heard the person in the room next to us consistently, can assure the person that the rooms are not soundproof. I stayed at this hotel a year ago and the bed was very creaky, and a year later, still creaky. Honestly, disappointing. I LOVE the Hoxton brand and have had so many great experiences, this was 100% not one of them.

Kind staff and nice vibe in lobby. You may want to request that your room has a bathroom that doesn't face the bed - the first \"Roomy\" room they gave us was too small for two pieces of luggage and the bathroom was directly in front of the bed - odd as the door was a smoked glass and didn't provide full privacy and the shower was tiny - imagine at night using the bathroom and lighting up the room as well? We requested a different room and was given a different \"Roomy\" room that was SO MUCH BETTER 😊.

Loved my stay! Comfort, security, location.

My stay was amazing. The staff from the moment i walked in provided such comfort and safety. I was traveling alone, and they made me feel secure. They suggested a bit larger room since I was staying a whole week, which was a wonderful choice seeing I was there longer. They also offered wonderful dining suggestions and directions when needed.

When the app wasn't working to order room service, I inquired at the desk and they were able to accommodate so quickly. Didn't need it fast, but they were so kind to get me my dinner what felt like instantly. After a long day of travel and stressful day, (get the chicken - it's delicious!) they made me feel right at home.

As for the location, it's perfect from theatre, tube and bus stops. Would recommend staying here to anyone wanting a central location with comfort!

The staff were exceptional! Even though the space downstairs was filled with adults in the communal bar / restaurant / lounge space, my 11 year old son was made to feel welcome too. The lady at reception even remembered what we were doing in London and asked my son about it the next morning. He felt very comfortable there which was important to me. The room was compact, clean, comfortable and perfect for what we needed. No noise problems which is brilliant! THANK YOU! We will be back! x
