5-star hotel, but only a 3-star experience. This property is absolutely beautiful. The staff (generally speaking) are all great, though the level of service from staff to staff was all over the place. I even experienced some quite poor service. The classic rooms are VERY small and very poorly designed. It was like the architect and interior designers had never stayed in a hotel before. So many tiny details that were missed that lead to a much less than 5-star experience. I suggest splurging and booking the larger rooms for a better, more comfortable stay. The beds are super comfortable and the toiletry amenities are by Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle, which is quite luxe. The food in the main restaurant is mid, at best. Skip it, but try the high tea. The hotel bar on the lower level is gorgeous. Service is top notch and they have live entertainment nightly. The location of the hotel is superb. There are certainly nicer and better 5-star hotels in the area, but the price here is definitely a better value. So if you are willing to sacrifice a true 5-star hotel experience and save a little money, this place is worth it.

We had a lovely time staying at the Bloomsbury. Centrally located near to Tottenham Court tube station and the British Museum. The staff were fabulous, helpful and always cheerful. We dinned in the Dalloway Terrace restaurant for an evening meal and Afternoon Tea. Both times the food was excellent. Our room was on the 7th floor and was clean, quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed spending time in the lounge to relax after busy days sightseeing. Will definitely stay here again.

The staff simply couldn't do enough to help us; they were pleasant, kind, helpful and well presented. A staff member in the Coral Room took us downstairs to the Bloomsbury Bar to see if she could get us a table. All the front of house staff were excellent. It made the entire stay one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had, literally anywhere in the world.
The room itself we stayed in on the second floor was a delight. In the evening we even obtained resupplies from the room night service. We slept like a dream during the one night of our stay as the noise from outside the hotel is almost none existent, surprising considering you are sixty Street.seconds walk from Tottenham Court Road and Oxford.
All in all this is an outstanding hotel, with superb staff that comes highly recommended.

Staff from the restaurant/bar felt the need to loudly tip out all the glass several times through the night. Very poor night sleep as a result. They could have just done it once or saved it until morning. Very inconsiderate.

We’ve stayed here twice and enjoyed the stay both times. The common areas—the lounge, the Corral Room, and the speakeasy—are all great. The service is very friendly and fantastic. The hotel is centrally located for doing a lot in London & you can walk to many destinations. The rooms both times were small. Our only really complaint is that the bathrooms were too small and there was very limited counter space. This made getting ready in the morning more challenging than it should be.

I'd describe the room as cozy but crowded with an oversized bed that dwarfed a poorly placed tiny club chair. The luggage rack was in a very inconvenient location as well...quite far from the closet. The tiny bathroom was made most awkward by a ridiculously narrow tub that you need to step up into, and a toilet poorly fitted behind the bathroom door. A lovely tea set up was included, but hid behind a closet door that made it challenging to access and move to the desk for use (must clear a spot for it in case you had been doing work at the desk). Room doors are very close together in narrow hallways, and the walls are paper-thin, so unfortunately, you learn more about your neighbors than you would care to making me loath video calls even more than I already do. And the last bit of annoyance to report is that the duvet is much too heavy for a room that is not drafty or damp.

All that aside, the staff is amazing, as is the location. The hotel has some truly beautiful spaces to dine and enjoy a cocktail. I would risk another stay because all things considered, I still enjoyed myself.

he people who work there are great. Everyone from the doorman to the concierge was friendly and helpful. However they couldn't compensate for the awful room. The bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen in a hotel, so tiny I had to enter the shower sideways. The furniture in the room was too big for the space and looked like it was 50 years old. Just a very uncomfortable room with not enough space to open our suitcases. Just not a five star experience and not worth the price. I would definitely not return.

I stayed at The Bloomsbury in April 2024. I rebooked this hotel out of hundreds in London for my latest trip this August. Last year, I booked what they advertise as a Cozy room. When I arrived, I was upgraded to a Classic Queen which was quite nice. This year, I opted to upgrade to what they advertise as a Deluxe Queen. When I arrived, and was shown to my room, I noticed that it was an attic, Cozy Room. I complained to the front desk and the woman working the desk could not explain the room difference and I asked to speak to the manager. He said that my room was indeed a Deluxe Queen and I responded with my previous year’s experience with the rooms. He then said he would move me to another room. This new room was again, smaller than last year’s room. This manager was not only lying to me, but tried to placate me with a $12 dollar bottle of red wine. I’m quite ashamed of this behavior from a hotel manager, a hotel in which I loved during my previous stay. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The manager is a liar and charged me for a Queen Deluxe”and lied to what he assumed was an unsuspecting woman American tourist. I was charged for a stay that was not what was advertised and not what I had reserved. Shame on you.

Honestly, was taken back by just how attentive the staff where.

It stood out so much, we spoke about it alot.

Coming from `Dubai, were service level is high, its normally hard to feel it matched.

But every member of staff here honestly were amazing.

I wouldn't even say they went above and beyond, because that sounds like effort, although they did, it all seemed natural and unforced.

They would greet us, no matter what time of the day, if they saw us around the hotel, asking how we were.

They helped me sort things for my wife's birthday, and didnt't just have a porter knock and drop things off, staff turned up with a huge smile on their face and a proper conversation, wishing her a happy birthday.

Honestly, every little bit was just more than we would expect.

The cocktail bar was lovely, the rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable

The staff who would greet you at the front, where there most down to earth, and helpful guys.

From luggage sorting, greeting, to taxi sorting.

I honestly could go on and on- but we have been super super impressed, would highly recommend, and the location is bang on the main high street to access anything you may also need.

My stay in May was my third time at The Bloomsbury. It's a lovely, comfortable hotel in a great location. But the best part is the staff, who are all helpful, friendly, and very accessible. I have to give special call-out to the staff in the breakfast room. They are, to a person, terrific! And, the coffee served is the best. It's a great way to start your day in London!

If I ever return to London I will stay at the Bloomsbury. The location is excellent, the restaurant was very convenient, the porters and room staff are very helpful. The room was comfortable (we were upgraded when we checked in!). I don't have a photo of the hotel itself but it is very close to a nice shopping area and the British Museum.

Lovely hotel in great location.

The Bloomsbury is a good hotel located close to the British Museum and within walking distance of the National Gallery and other cultural attractions. It’s also close to theatres and the shops of Oxford Street. It has recently been renovated and is in excellent condition. Very friendly and helpful staff. I only stayed for one night but would be concerned about noise from neighbouring rooms if I was staying longer and had noisy neighbours.

The hotel is gorgeous. The most basic room is quite small with little space to walk around the double bed. Also, the front of the hotel is set back from the street. When walking back alone at night, you can feel quite isolated approaching the main entrance from the street. Staff very accommodating and friendly.

The 'cosy' rooms are quite dark and small so please reset your expectations. Nevertheless, the common area eg reception and bars were a highlight - luxurious yet cosy and the small touches eg mulled wine, jazz nights made up for the small rooms. The quality of the breakfast could be better, but I guess acceptable for London standard.

What makes the Bloomsbury so special are the employees, from concierge to check in to room service to bar and restaurant. Everyone is kind and helpful.
The location is great for Holborn, SoHo, and Covent Garden and a short walk to Elizabeth Line for Heathrow.
The bed is super comfy and the room a nice size (I had King Size)
