The staff was excellent at the One Tun. We had to extend our stay at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances and the staff was so accommodating. We really appreciate that they were able to keep us in the same room with barely any notice.
The hotel itself is roomy and clean and the location is excellent. Farringdon Station and the Elizabeth line are a two minute walk from the rooms and made getting around the city so easy.
If you have any trouble climbing stairs, you should reconsider this location. However, that's my only reservation and would highly recommend the One Tun otherwise!

Great location if you are having meetings in the Farringdon area, but some notes to help you prep. Needed to call the managing property to get access on a Sunday morning. No receptionist on site. It is loud. Pub in the first floor. People outside drinking after last calls. Trash removal late at night. Beer barrel delivery on Friday morning at 7a and they don't give a toss about it being an inn with sleeping guests. Lovely place overall, but take note. It's not just an inn

People shouting in the pub below ended at 10:00, which was expected, but we were woken by a couple shouting at each other over the vacuum cleaner as they cleaned at 5:30 the next morning. Nice spot and great location and service, but bring your very best earplugs!

Loved the location and quaintness of 8 rooms. Room 7 is very spacious and has great light. Bed was comfortable. Just be aware pubs are popular Tuesday to Thursday in the evenings so always a big crowd out front.

'No room at the Inn' but still a great stay.
We booked this pub as it was perfect for a party we were going to. Unfortunately although our email confirmation for the night we wanted was correct and confirmed there was 'no room at the Inn' and there was a mistake and our room was double booked and none other available. However the staff there were brilliant and they got us a room at another of their Pubs nearby and paid for the taxi to get us there and could not do enough to help us - they gave us a discount as well so appreciated they responded to our situation. We were not angry as mistakes happen and we are all human and I have to say we were very happy with staying at the Clerk and Well - it was a beautiful room - only problem being on the top floor with lots of stairs but they helped us with our luggage so all turned out well. Would recommend.

This hotel was immaculately clean and the style was really nice. We were in the room right above the pub and under the other rooms. It was so noisy. We could hear everyone walking up and down the stairs and the music from the pub. Of course we knew booking a room at a pub would have noises from the pub and luckily it was pretty quiet once the pub closed. It was the noise from the other guests that got to us.

Great little Gem
This was a truly unique aka charming place to stay. The entrance is on the side of the bar entrance outside. You check in at the bar. Quiet small bar locals go too. You're in the business district on an off street. No elevator. Small set of stairs that spiral up to whichever floor you're on. We were on the 3rd floor. 8 rooms total. They take your luggage up. The room was nice and decorated. The bed was comfortable, and the AC was great. Just going up the stairs was really quite interesting, and we loved it. We are older and it didn't bother us. If you have mobility issues or use a cane, there isn't any way this would work for you. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Central to the train station which is in walking distance and that gets you everywhere cheaply. Oh and you don't hear the bar at night, and they close at 10pm anyway so there you have it.

Super cute Pub and Inn. We really enjoyed our stay. Water pressure is a bit low in the shower and just a heads up, there's no elevator. Stairwell is a bit steep and narrow, so if you have heavy big suitcases, traveling with children, or elderly, make sure to ask rooms on the 1st floor if possible.

Overall great stay. Loved the keycard, clean room, distance to local station. Bit of squeaky stair with strong perfume scent, please use less perfume or scent in the hallway. Nice firm mattress, but the windows don't stay open at all, and although it has air conditioning, it would have been nice to get some fresh air. Soy milk for coffee and tea was bad. Otherwise a great stay, just wish it wasn't so expensive!

This was a cute and slightly quirky room, something different than a cookie-cutter hotel room. The staff was friendly and the pub below us had great food and beer. Our room on the 1st floor was a little loud until the pub closed. It was steps away from the Tube (on a direct line to Heathrow), making it a great jumping-off location.

If traveling as an American, you might find that top flat sheets are not common. We requested one additional one with staff, and they were lovely to work with. Friendly and helpful! Comfortable bed!

This is such a treasure in central London! Just steps from Farringdon underground on the Elizabeth Line from Heathrow airport. Huge room with comfy bed; modern large bathroom with fluffy towels. Pub noise (not loud) stops promptly at 11pm. Host was friendly and helpful. Lots of old pubs and nice restaurants just minutes away.

The property is terrific. The renovated roos and amenities are brilliant! The stairs-only were the only issue, but staff carried our suitcases up for us! The city decided to do some construction outside the pub at 1 am, but who can control that? Had the best meal of our trip in the pub! Loved the place, would definitely recommend.

Disappointing stay
Room 3 was lovely bed was comfortable and fridge and tea making facilities were excellent. Crisps and bar of chocolate was a nice touch. Only one bath robe was provided and no slippers. We were shown to our room by nice gentleman but didn’t catch his name. Unfortunately on checking us in he only checked our room card for one night instead of our three night stay which left us after a visit to the theatre on our second night standing outside at midnight cold and waiting for assistance to get in to our room. We only waited 15-20 minutes but wasn’t a nice experience at that time of night.
I always strip the bed on day of leaving( since covid) and I really wish I hadn’t. I have taken photos of the bed protector but will not add to review in the hope that the One Tun rooms will take a look at their housekeeping standards and improve them. All future guests please check under your sheets before getting in to bed.

The room was roomy and comfortable. Be prepared to climb steep, narrow stairs as this is an old building. Staff helped carry our luggage up. The area has lots of restaurants and shopping available in walking distance and it's right around the corner from Farringdon Tube station, as well as the Elizabeth line from Heathrow.

I used to work in this area & was a frequent visitor to the pub, so lovely to return to the area & stay this time. The room was just as advertised. Spotlessly clean & very comfortable. Nice inclusions (water, chocolate, peanuts, biscuits, crisps), lots of tea & coffee, but only soya milk & no sugar at all which was poor

Very nicely decorated large rooms centrally located but away from tourist areas. Walkable to St Pauls and Covent Garden. Good range of food choices. Steep stairs to the rooms may be difficult for some, some noise from other rooms and the pub. We were in the first floor, so adjacent to the bar but we did not find the noise to be too distracting. Will definitely stay again, highly recommended.

Great comfortable room. Loads of extra touches with the refreshments and bathroom toiletries. My only complaint was the door didn't have an internal lock - it was just on the digital key - and this is a safety concern, especially for a woman travelling alone.

We booked three rooms as a group of friends - when staff realized we were all together they were kind enough to coordinate so that our rooms were all on one floor which we really appreciated. We loved that we could order up from the bar to our rooms so that we could enjoy a drink from the terrace one room had. The rooms were clean and comfortable, staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the location was very convenient, just a few steps from the Elizabeth line from Heathrow and a short walk down to the Thames. Highly recommend and would book again if we ever return to London!

Absolutely lovely small boutique inn right in the heart of London. Beautiful rooms, updated amenities, and charming staff - with dog friendly pub below! One minute walk to Farringdon station which can get you anywhere in the city, ten minute walk to Exmouth Market with lots of quaint restaurants and pubs (very local scene), and within a mile of most tourist areas you may want to visit.

A spacious, well-appointed room is waiting for you, just a skip from Farringdon. We arrived during the after-work happy hour crunch, but the host dropped everything to check us in and make sure we were comfortably situated in our room. The room was fantastic and dinner at the inn was good too.

Wow!! What a fabulous accommodation experience. We had an extremely enjoyable stay here and will be recommending The One Tun to friends and family who are travelling to London in the future. Our host was friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Every staff member we interacted with was polite and friendly. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We dined in the bar more than once and the food was delicious and well priced. The pub and rooms are beautifully decorated and are within walking distance to the train station. I would absolutely stay here again. The Farringdon Tube Station is less than 2 blocks away. The room had everything we needed. The price was very affordable compared to hotels in the area. The decor was eclectically delightful. The bathroom set up was excellent, and even the free snacks, water and chocolate daily were such nice touches. Coffee machine was nice to have, and we were thankful for the mini fridge. The first few days the in-room phone didnt seem to work, but we hopped downstairs to the pub and got food there.

If you're looking for a peaceful, quiet retreat after a busy day in the city, this is not it. I prepared with earplugs and slept fine until 9am, when folks started drilling into the walls next door.

There was also a 2 inch triangle stain on the lamp shade, and various stains on the carpeting that made us want to keep our shoes on at all times. The main power outlet above my bed did not work. If you want the experience of staying over an English pub, this place is for you. The location is excellent (very close to Farringdon Station) with lines to everywhere including Heathrow. I was not a fan of the Pan-Asian menu in the pub, but it’s an excellent place to grab a pint and enjoy the evening crowd. Lots of restaurants to select from in the neighborhood. The staff was even willing to hang on to our luggage after we checked out so we can explore the city most of the day. I would totally stay here again.

The One Tun Pub is located just steps from Farringdon subway station which offers a direct link to Heathrow. Room was clean and quaint- just what we were looking for. Staff was extremely helpful and helped make our stay an excellent one. Highly recommend a stay at the One Tun Pub and Rooms.

Long weekend in London
Very friendly pub with rooms. Booked 3 rooms for a couple of nights. Rooms very nicely done although room 2 doesn’t get much natural light as the windows face into a sort of courtyard. Room 1 is great, didn’t get to see room 4 but told it was also really good and spacious. Lots of nice little touches and the lady who services the rooms is lovely. Farringdon station a couple of minutes walk away. We wanted to stay somewhere other than a big standard hotel and this fitted the bill nicely.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Very convenient to Farringdon station. They do give you complimentary snacks and water, but with each passing day it was less (first day 3 snacks, 2 waters, then 2 snacks, 2 waters, then 2 snacks, 1 water, the last day we weren't given water at all), which was strange. The room was lovely, but the heat did not seem to work through the HVAC, and the side heater was a bit wonky (it would be freezing and then we would wake up sweating). I would stay here again, but not in the winter.
